Literally the worst Sephora!! I went there on May 30th, at around 5-6pm. There were two beauty advisors and two cashiers. When my mom and I went in there the store was practically empty with a couple of customers here and there. I needed assistance in finding a product so, I asked one of the beauty advisor to help me find it. She was on her phone when I approached her, it seemed like she didn’t want to help me and she lazily walked off and gave me the product without even asking me if I needed further help, which I indeed needed. I proceeded to ask another beauty advisor for help and she didn’t even make eye contact with me and just pointed to a general area. The last straw for me was when my mom asked her if they carried a certain product and she told my mom in the most rudest way possible that she was occupied, when in fact she was on her phone. The beauty advisors at this Sephora are lazy and rude and they do not want to help out customers, they turn the other way when they see a customer approaching them. This store also doesn’t have anything in stock I couldn’t find the product that I was looking for so I went for another product turns out nothing there is in stock. And the associates didn’t even bother to check the back for the products instead just pointed to where the product is when I told them that it wasn’t there. Sephora do better and stop hiring lazy, rude, and unhelpful people! It’s so uncomfortable to shop at a store where the associates make you feel unwelcomed and look you up and down.

I spent $360 at this place. I asked the person at Sephora who is supposed to be knowledgable which shampoo I spent $360 at this place. I asked the person at Sephora who is supposed to be knowledgable which shampoo would be best to keep the colour. I especially was concerned because I know red hair dye is easily washed out and I wanted to get shampoo to protect it. I spent $30 on this product. After the first wash it has stripped out over half of the colour that was remaining in my hair. My own shampoo did nowhere near the kind of damage that this product did . I got my hair dyed professionally and cost me $200. Your shampoo cost me $30 and cost me half of my hair dye on top of that. This has been a terrible experience, and I will never go to the Sapore ever again and I will definitely never ever listen to any of the recommendations that any of the people employed by the joke of a store. I honestly feel like you guys owe me a refund for the shampoo and some money for my hair. Never ever come to this Sephora I am unaware if the other places are any better. After this Terrible and costly experience. I doubt I will ever come back to any Sephora. Literally thanks for nothing.

The customer service at this location is horrible. This weekend (Sept 2/3 2023) there was a promotion with a minimum purchase of $75 to get a free raffled Sephora collection item at the front of the store. The lady at cashier advertised this promotion then sent us to the front area. The supervisor (I believe) with a headset came and said that someone will be with you shortly and walked away. We waited over 10 minutes for this raffle draw, that was worth $8-10 in comparison to what we spent. There were no workers willing to assist us. Instead, several workers walked by us. It was very frustrating and a waste of time that we went back to the cashier and requested a refund for all purchases made ($82). In addition, thats when I found out the previous cashier redeemed my points for a "free" sample that was not mentioned to me, she did herself. The supervisor offered free sample products to make up for the trouble, in a passive-aggressive tone of voice. I will not be coming back to this location for their poor customer service. If you are understaffed please hire more workers or retrain your staff. Thank you very much!

come here today with my friend for return. Total was 3 items, the lady only refunded 2 of them. We came back and there came 3 ladies, unprofessional and insisted to say they made it right, even though on the top of the bill was 3 items and clearly showed 44,50,50 dollars but the refund was only 44,50 on the bottom. I worried about their math because they said it was right that the total for 50+50+44 was 106. They were totally wasting our time and what made me feel even worse were, there were no apology at all and they keep asking if we bought others item, did we use any discounts . Even though another staff told them we did not buy anything just return she kept questioning me. they did not look up their mistake first and moved my friend’s finger rudely when she showed the receipt for them, impolitely and impatiently said “move your finger”. It is just very simple thing and they make it so complex. I have never had any bad experience before with Sephora but this time it changed my mind. Reply : I didn’t like this experience with this Sephora.

Disappointing Experience: I recently had the displeasure of visiting Sephora on July 5, 2023 and I must say, the overall experience left me feeling incredibly disappointed. From the moment I stepped foot into the store, it was clear that customer service and efficiency were not high on their priority list. First and foremost, the excessively long lines were infuriating. It seemed as though the employees were more focused on engaging in personal conversations amongst themselves than attending to the needs of the numerous frustrated customers waiting their turn. This lack of attention and blatant disregard for the impact it had on customers' time was truly disheartening. To compound matters further, it was even more frustrating to witness the fact that Sephora had only three cash registers available in the store. This, accompanied by the employees' total lack of urgency, created an atmosphere of stagnation and a significant delay in the checkout process. The lady’s working day was Addy and Tanzeena

Horrible location. Staff seem to either view with suspicion as if you are a shoplifter or don’t bother to look your way. I saw this gentleman trying to ask the lady at the perfume section something and she looked at him like he was wasting her time and was beneath her. Yes the gentleman was a bit shabbily dressed but that is no way to treat a potential customer. And the way she explained to him was so rude. He simply said thank you and walked away. And he looked so hurt. Found out later that it was the store manager. As I asked a helpful employee ( a rarity ) who she was. She shrugged and said the manager is a bit haughty. “But what can I say , she’s the store manager “ and she gave a resigned smile. I was supposed to buy my girlfriend a gift card but seeing the attitude of the manager and most employees, i decided not to patronise this store. Instead I drove all the way to fair view mall where I got a much better experience and employees who were genuinely interested in serving customers.

The store is decent but staff on floor didn’t greet or welcome us upon entering and wasn’t attentive unless you call them yourself. They see you walk in but turn their backs and walk around like they’re shopping there. One beauty associate had no idea on one product I asked her about. She didn’t know how to even color match my concealer. The instructions were all written on the box but she failed my test poorly by saying “I’m not sure about that”. How are these associates working there if they don’t have the knowledge the customer needs before spending 100s of dollars? They’re supposed to be “beauty experts” or at least don’t respond with “I’m not sure about it”, that REALLY got to me!! Highly disappointing and frustrating. Please make sure you train them on info about beauty products and their differences with other brands! Especially being more greetful to the customer and ask if they need help instead of turning their backs and walking away!

I had a terrible experience at the Scarborough town centre location today Sep26th. I called to make an official complaint as I was a victim of unethical sales practice from one of the Store Manager. She tried to upsell me with an eye mask(the one they are currently trying to promote right where you pay) which I thought I was getting for free and I bought a $100 eye cream the day before! Everything was being done in such a rushed way, and when I realized I got charged for it, I went back in line and that Manager saw me and disappeared. I explained my whole situation to the Cashier regarding the upselling part without clear information and she said " I am really sorry, it is an inside thing". The staff that morning seemed to be working under A LOT of pressure and that particular Manager appeared to be bossing them around.

I would advise the owner of this location to apply stricter standards of service and care towards their staff members. Many staff members were literally lazily running away from us rather than answering our questions regarding products, took an unreasonable amount of time to send for help - leaving us standing in the middle of the store until closing time even though we were informed 10mins. Finally, and most absurdly - they closed down the cash register at exactly closing time when they knew customers were in the store and we were in the store for over an hour and were only late on our purchase due to them taking too much time to send an associate to colour match us! They are in such a rush to finish their jobs and go home rather than making a good impression on customers and providing good service.

Latest visit: 24-Oct-2023 had a terrible experience here especially with the manager called Wahida (not sure how to spell because she wasn’t even wearing a name tag last night). Please don’t talk about customers behind their back because they can be right behind you. YES, customers can BUY MORE THAN $250 gift cards for their families. Been doing this for years. Have some courtesy next time instead of thinking you are high and mighty when you talk. Do explain properly what a “loss prevention / protection policy means” not until you decline a customer to buying one because you have the right. ——- Stephanie was super helpful and gave some tips while cashing me out ! Worst experience at this location. I purchased over $500 of products online and some of those products were gifts. I drove all the way to this store so that I could ask for ONE Sephora paper bag (the bag they give to all their customers when they purchase anything) since I wanted to gift my items in that. The extremely rude cashier (Preye) and manager (tall, large, Caucasian women) refused to give me ONE bag, even after all I spent. The paper bag doesn’t even cost them five cents. I have never heard of this policy in my life since I’ve been shopping here for over 10 years. I have also been a ROUGE member for almost 10 years and spend more than a thousand dollars throughout the year at Sephora. AVOID THIS LOCATION. The manager had the WORST ATTITUDE, extremely rude and cheap.

I went to Sephora yesterday asking if I can get matched with a colour foundation. I asked representative to help me she asked me what colour do I want I said no idea that’s why I need help she gave me a colour without asking me what’s my skin type or what am I looking for the colour that not my match. I asked her if you can use the colour match machine they have on me she said no ( even though I had no makeup on my face) so I said okay then can you send someone else that can help me and she just walked away and send no one. I was really excited to find a match of a foundation but I felt so JUDGED so I left ! I wish I got the girls name so unprofessional I feel so judged every time I go to that location

Went to Sephora in December to pick up my birthday gift. The store said there were none left and to come back in January, as new ones would be in. In going in today, I was told I could have it, but that means that I would not be able to have my gift in December. I'm not quite sure this is fair as that means that I have not received the gift that I should have in December of 2022. The customer Service lady was very nice and was only repeating the rules of the store, but I really think this should be changed so that customers are able to receive what the store is supposed to provide to it's customers.

I had my makeup done by Tracy. I was very nervous beforehand but Tracy was very gentle and professional so I quickly calmed down. I also have sensitive skin and don't normally wear makeup, but she was very mindful of this. She also recommended me products that were relevant to my needs without upselling other items. Overall I had a much better experience than I had anticipated and am very happy to know that, thanks to Tracy, makeup can look pretty on me if applied correctly. She also gave tips along the way which makes me feel as if it may just be possible to recreate even without her magic.

This is my favourite Sephora. I live in Durham but always come here because the staff are always so helpful and kind. Last night Uma helped me at the store. I was looking for a foundation shade match and Uma helped me find the most perfect shade match. I have always struggled to find the right shade because most brands make their darker shades too yellow or orange but Uma found the right shade for me and it’s perfect. For the first time I’m excited to wear foundation because it looks so good on my skin. It’s literally my skin tone in a bottle and blends so seamlessly. Thank you so much Uma.

Customer service is DEAD and nonexistent here. First and last time we will step foot in this location. Waited over 30 minutes and asked over 4 times for assistance. The old lady kept on shrugging us off and telling us someone would come, no one ever did. She refused to take 2 minutes to hear us out and helped everyone else around us. I lived in Scarborough my entire life and grew up in this mall.. Miracle Mart days.. looks like the mall was upgraded with more options but the people working there were downgraded to ignorant, rude, uneducated types. What a disgrace to the human race!!!

The first time I actually got help in here. I have always tried to spend my money here in the past with no luck. The store is so big and full of selection that if you don’t know what you’re looking for specifically one would definitely need assistance navigating through the massive selection of products. Finally, after waiting and waiting I got help from a really nice young woman. Chantelle had me leave a happy customer today. The 5⭐️ is for Chantelle, not the store. Thank you Chantelle for changing my experience at this store into a positive one

There was no one around to help when I went to the store. I had to look for myself what I needed. What made it a really bad experience was a lady staring at me and on the verge of yelling at me. Asked me what I was doing, that I should have asked a staff to help. I asked if she could help and she gave me a flat 'NO', said I needed to wait. There are many stores that sell cosmetics for exactly the same or better price. So why do I need to go to Sephora? Good luck to this company if they keep hiring staff that don't understand customer service!

Went there to find one item, asked for help and the staff was rude, unhelpful and unhappy to help. They were constantly on their phones and would simply direct me to a general area and hope for the best. They did not want to be bothered and had little knowledge of what the store has. If you have time, I definitely recommend you make the drive over to the Markville mall location. Here the workers are so helpful, informative, and much nicer, giving you a smooth and pleasant experience which also helps nervous first timers such as myself.

I recently visited Sephora and was extremely impressed by the friendly and helpful service I received. The store was well organized and easy to navigate, making it easy to find exactly what I was looking for. The staff were knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions I had. My favourite location, as associates working here have ALWAYS GONE ABOVE & BEYOND helping customers!!!! I've been shopping at this location for 9 years, for most of my required products. There is one gentleman here (Sorry forgetting his name), but he has always been so exceptionally kind and helpful with my purchases, and ordering my required devices for me online. Many other associates that I interacted with, they are all kind, patient, knowledgeable. I wish I could give this place a million stars.

They follow people around (they think discretely) or come and say hi to just stand around near because they think you're stealing when you're literally just walking around shopping and looking at things with ZERO intention of stealing. This happens to me all the time at the Scarborough Town Centre location and Eaton Centre, sometimes others and I am a visible minority so idk if its that or something else but its very uncomfortable and makes me never want to enter this location again.

Amazing experience at this location past 10+ years Fathima in particular is customer oriented, took her time to explain different shades from other alternative brands as one particular shade I came in for was recently discontinued. All the ladies working there are super friendly and make the customer at ease and not made to feel pressured to purchase immediately. i got shade matched the other day and the girl just straight up put the device on my forehead. i have acne prone skin please clean the devices before you guys put them on peoples face. my skin has been doing so well no new breakouts. i woke up this morning and my forehead has a slight read lesion. this is really upsetting because i would think they clean them but i just know it was full of bacteria and it’s making me disgusted to think about. please do better

Really bad experience today. Starting with the loooong line because there were only two cashiers working. Second, and most disappointing, the attitude of the cashier Eravanti, very rude person!! Should be trained better for customer service. She was giving me my change back and I was trying to ask her a question, and with a very rude attitude pushed my hand down when giving my change back and told me “Let me finish what I am saying!”

The Customer service is nonexistent here. Don’t even bother going to this location because one their staff is nowhere to be found when assistance is needed & two majority of their products are out of stock. Waited over 30 minutes and asked over 4 times for assistance just to hear they don’t even have the products we were looking for, and half the time they don’t even bother going to the back & checking.. would give it a 0 if I could.

Had a fun visit today, where the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the kind of makeup we wanted. We got great suggestions as to which brand and product type would suit us, and the associate was kind enough to look up the ingredient list for us. Another of the associates put my teenage daughter at ease when her dad, my husband, was doing his best to embarrass her. This location always has great people working there.

It doesn't seem like a good idea to put a "try me" sticker on a product that should be only used at night to avoid burns when your store is open during the day. If it's not applied at night or the user doesn't use sunscreen retinol will damage the user's face. Other than that this is definitely a cosmetics store so 4 stars. The workers don't bother you but will help you if you go up to them, which I prefer.

Amina was the most helpful employee over there so cheerful and friendly. I was so picky but she helped me so much to find the right shade of my foundation and she didnot even say or show anything like she is bored which other employee showed also she is so knowledgeable. i don't know who this sephora location is hiring now but the staff are terrible. the cashiers especially are rude, condescending and unprofessional. i had to help do the job of some of the people there as they did not know what they were doing and it was embarrassing. the staff also waits around and watches as the line grows when there are only 2 cashiers and they could hop on. honestly a mess.

Always the FIRST stop for makeup, and body care, including items to apply said products. Their staff are knowledgeable, very kind and beautiful () The quality is good and they stand behind it. They listen to the customer and try to satisfy them. When customers leave the store, it's usually with a purchase and a smile (As a disabled person, I wish they offered seating )

Last time I went there with my brothers to buy some perfumes and other products, they’ve been following us everywhere we go and giving side eyes because they don’t trust us or something OMG I have never had a bad experience like that in my entire life. I was there to get a perfume for my friend. I appreciate they're not overly helpful and just let me do my thing. I feel comfortable shopping there. Stars deducted: Not a fault, but the cashier didn't notice it's my birthday month and didn't remind me to choose a birthday gift. It never happened to me before, in this store or other locations. More staff traning is needed indeed.

Was helped by Sade to do a foundation match for the Haus Labs brand and was super happy with the customer service she provided! She was super patient and just when I thought my shade was sold out, she swooped in with what I think was the last one and I couldn’t be any happier. I’ve been shopping at Sephora throughout the years, mostly online. I do shop in store as well but live 2 hours away. I remember going in the first time and was so overwhelmed and the lady comes up to me and just knew I need help and she took me along and matched me perfectly to makeup. This is why I'm a repeat customer. The staff are help and amazing!

I’ve been to this location 4 different times in the last month and each time my experience has been negative. It looks like there are a lot of employees working but when you ask them for help, no one wants to help. I’ve waited around for 20-30 mins each time until someone would assist me but I always end up leaving because I receive no service.

Rude customer service -‘and when I say it I don’t mean the beauty advisors, I meant the cashiers. They are incredibly rude and impatient and do not want to communicate properly, will definitely stop going there. I am a regular VIB member and if they are this rude to me at the counter then I think this needs to be addressed my management.

I went in store today and tried two different foundations but was not sure which was one was perfect shade. So I asked an associate for samples of those two foundations and she straight up said no. I didn’t know Sephora stopped giving samples because I got a sample few months ago and ended up buying the product.

Always really enjoy coming into this Sephora, very spacious and always a lot of product. Only issue is I’ve had some issues with rude employees who seem incredibly annoyed when I ask questions about what products are in stock or not…. Not always but these last few trips have not been super pleasant.

The staff here can be helpful but some staff not so much. Overall, it’s an ok experience. I got my makeup done here recently. Ask for Val. He listened to what I wanted and helped me to achieve that look. And he kept smiling the whole time! Will go back to get him to do my makeup for sure!

This location is busy as it is a popular store. Staff are attentive. Making my shopping experience pleasant and valuable. The only issue is line up at cash so go during non peak hours if you can. I bought the sephora brand cotton pads and face masks. Good value for the price.

I received excellent customer service from Vicki Beauty Advisor. She went out of her way to ensure I picked up the right products. Vicki is very knowledgeable and really sweet. At check out Shwrena was really nice and pleasant. The store is bright, clean and well stocked.

This was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We approached four customer associates and the manager, who all promised to get back to us within 15 minutes. However, we ended up waiting for a whole hour without anyone assisting

extremely rude employees do not go here!! They all make sure to not make eye contact when something was needed, worst attitudes I’ve ever came across. I should have walked out instead of buying something and giving them my business.
