You should really fire the people working at 7 West 28th Street in Manahttan. I prepurchased a parking spot for the weekend starting Friday 1/26 - Sunday 1/28 and when we arrived they tried to turn us away, saying they couldn't take us because they weren't doing overnight parking ( even though its available on your website). I said to the man but is availabe on your website. His response was " its not my website and Im not taking any over night parking. I asked the man to get a manager on the phone and I was told " No, Im not using my phone take your own phone out and call someone". Yes tese are direct quotes. To me this man was completely trying to rip us off. We paid for a service and were being denied and he refused to help refund us the money. The number listed on the printed receipt stated that number was open for calls 24/7 but it was not. I think this man new that and that is why he was such a jerk. It wasn't until I found another number and got a hold of someone that all of a sudden he was going to not turn us away. This was Friday night when we arrived. I already new that when we parked we would be charged extra for the oversized vehicle fee which your website does not have an option to prepay the oversized vehicle fee. Upon trying to leave the facility and pay the oversized vehicle fee I was told it had to be cash even though the sign states you can pay by credit card. I truly believe that the man working the site on sunday 1/28 around 10:30am is just pocketing money that belongs to SP parking. I even had trouble getting a receipt from him. He did not want to give me one. By law you are required to give a receipt for services paid for. If your employees are not willing to give cash receipts either they are stealing the money from SP parking or SP parking does not report cash transactions to the IRS. Both are illegal. Do you employee only criminals? Paying for a service and being turned away with out refunding the money is called stealing.. Due to the incompetent people and possible criminal activity going on by your employees I will advise everyone I speak to, to stay away from any and all SP parking sites, I myself will never ever use your services again. After all there are plenty of other non SP parking sites in Manhattan. Your company should be ashamed of itself for allowing people like that to represent your company. If I could post with out giving a star I would. One star is too many for his facility.
First off we reserved a space last night for $50 and it said fro 24 hours and also said like 12am to 10am the same day which made no sense so we texted the number about that, they answered and said they will add the time and correct it. THEN, we got there today and they said they couldn’t take our reservation because it wasn’t valid and they took no responsibility for it. We decided to let it go for the time being. We came back to get our car at 5:40 because we live more than 4 hours away and we wanted to get home. They said that we would have to wait a minute and so we waited for 10 minutes and then asked how long it would be, the man said 5-10 minutes. We waited for a total of 40 minutes for our car and they proceeded to do nothing to get it down. They helped 3 people who came after us and they didn’t tell us what was going on and why we waited for that long. The man told us it wasn’t his fault it was taking to long after asking for part refund and then he went and sat down and ate food. Finally after we got our car they didn’t make us pay. But seriously do not come here they are super rude and their parking does not seem safe. We still payed the $50 that we got scammed online for. Also reading the reviews now it looks like this is not the first time they have done that.
Rips you off. Stayed at a hotel as they suggested we park here and will only have to pay $45 we get a discount because of our stay at the hotel. Well nope we go there and they tell us our normal size half ton truck (Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab) is classified as oversized and we need to pay $60. After a few arguments and even the hotel contacting a person named Ming that works there they agreed with the hotel they would charge us only $45. We go to pick our truck up. They tell us nobody by the name Ming works there and they know nothing about the hotel calling that we still have to pay the $60. The manager of the hotel went and spoke with them and they then denied saying to us no ming worked there they tried to say they never said that to us.(because a Ming does work there) Then they agreed to refund the $15.00 to our account in front of the Manager of the hotel. But it is almost two weeks later now and still no refund. BIG SCAMMERS AND LIERS. I would rather find parking somewhere else and walk 6 blocks if I had to then have them SCAM me once again.
I always park here with my cargo van. But tonight, I was told that they cannot park my van because they already have too many cargo Van's in the lot. Remind you that I arrived at approximately 10:30pm and the lot is approximately 80% empty. As soon as I pulled up to the lot, It took me 10 minutes to get my stuff together and to prepare to leave the vehicle with them. At the time, two attendants were working. They just sat in the cube as they saw me preparing to leave the vehicle. No one came up to me to let me know that I won't be able to park. They just waited for me until I went to see them. But I just dont understand the reasoning behind their refusal to allow me to park. I did not mind paying extra because I have an oversized vehicle. You can't just allow us to park or to refuse us from parking when you feel like it. It the lot is empty, then we should be able to park without an issue. I ended up parking on the street for free since I had a commercial van! I just had to wake up an hour early to take care of the meter.
Absolutely terrible experience. Was staying at a hotel nearby for a month, left my car expecting the monthly rate. Went to grab something out of my car and decided to see what the month was going to come out to. Guy tells me no monthly rate because we’re staying at the hotel… what??? So if I wouldn’t have told you we were staying at a hotel, we’d get the monthly rate??? Let me get this right, we’re being penalized because we’re in town for work and staying at a hotel down the block. I pulled my car out that minute and had to pay an INSANE amount of money. I’m talking $1K+ when their online rates state monthly are ~$600!!! They’ll rob you do NOT trust these facilities. With ALLLL the garages in Manhattan, park at an Icon and stay away from S+P
Booked online through ON AIR PARKING. When I arrived the attendant just told me they were full. I told him I had a reservation but I was ignored. My brother in law had booked with the same company and the same location and they did take his car.. why? I am not sure. Maybe because I'm Latin American? I hope not and FYI, I was going to tip generously. VERY negative experience. My wife and daughter were waiting for me at the hotel and I had to find another parking spot in the middle of the day for a much higher price. NEVER coming back here.
Quick friendly service even though they were crazy busy. Prices are competetive for the area and if you are attending Marble Church, as we did, you get a stamp that gives a discount. I especially liked the easy access and exit from either 28th Street or 29th Street. The only thing they could do to improve is give the poor attendant a helper during the period just before and after church when there is such a large surge that it really strains 1 person to manage all those customers.
The place is very expensive. They charge about $20 more for a mini-van sized vehicle, which is outrageous. The staff move the vehicles around like they own it. They abruptly brake and accelerate. Getting in and out of the place is dangerous as well. Parking is done along the entrance, which leads to a one lane entrance for both incoming and outgoing traffic. Since it is on a hill and has a sharp turn, people do not know if someone is coming against you.
In comparison to other parking in the area, the price of this establishment is horrendous. 6 hours (8AM to 1PM) cost $70. A few days prior, a stay at another parking premise (8AM - 4PM) ran $30. Employee made a snarky comment when I remarked the price. “Your company will expense it” True or not, I found it very funny, hence the two stars for interpersonal skills. Other may definitely take offense… The process was prompt, my car had no damage.
Very nasty service, parking lot driver was very rude, speaking after 50 words on Chinese only one word at english and that was curse. Outside workers was wearing masks, probably that nobody was recognized them. Plus unbelievably and unexpectedly expensive, no roof, no fense and service was very rude for 3hrs $70.00. Never ever in my life, plus I'll suggest all my crew to avoid that parking lot.
this is the worst parking lot, I booked prepaid on line , arrived they told me is full, but this is not the first time, they do that all the time, and even the parking lot have empty spaces, they just don't want to park our car. they will park your car if you give them extra trip . the attendance is rude and screaming at you like they don't want to work at all.
Booked a parking spot through SpotHero, and when we arrived we noticed the entrance to the lot was closed off with no posted signage. Had to get out of the car and find the attendant who informed me that they were full. Overall the parking lot is in a good location, the pricing is reasonable, but the service and management are terrible.
DO NOT PARK HERE! Attendant told us it would be $35 a nite for parking - while staying at Plaza Hotel- total charged was $115 after we had ticket validated at hotel- stayed 1.5 days- staff refused to end a personal call while he slowly pulled car from 3rd level parking of their facility.
With a discount for a Saturday, parked quickly.A gain at retrieval, service was prompt and courteous. Only complaint: As many other parking places, the garage was at the bottom of a ramp. WEith thee car, tough for me, having a walking problem, uphill was difficult.
I was overcharged by $30 (on top of already paying over $70.) I assumed it was a mistake so I contacted the company to amend the issue. I left 3 voicemails, and sent numerous emails with my ticket and receipts. They have given me NO response.
Very unprofessional the guys working were smoking marijuana and when I got my car back it looked as if they went through my things and when I asked they laughed please save your self the hassle and go some where else
Didn't truly understand how crazy parking would be in Manhattan. Found this garage and parked for the night thought it would be a insane price but was surprised at the cost when picking up my vehicle
Always check your car for scratches before and after parking. I'm pretty sure my car got scratched at this parking garage even though the attendant denied it. Don't know how to make them pay for it.
I booked a spot through Parking.com. Upon arrival, a very rude person told me that they do not accept tesla! Very disappointed, I was late for a very important meeting because of them!
Made a reservation and when I showed up at 9AM they told me it was too full for my car....at 9AM. Really? I was an hour late to my appointment.
Thank you to everyone who helped me when my car broke down! I love parking here when I'm in the city. The customer service is impressive.
It's ok to park there but it's very expensive. We parked for only an hour and was charged $60.....Never again
One person working here- taking over an hour to get our car out of a spot. $60 for 2 hours. Do not park here.
Terrible. Workers have rude attitudes and refused me service. Avoid at all costs. Do not park your car here!
My car was parked up one of those space saving lifts… and the lift broke, leaving my car stuck.
terrible. used park wiz and attended did not know how to process and I got charged twice
In a Rush got to run park your car get your ticket and you be on your way love it
Expensive but you got to do what you got to do such as park your car or truck.
OUTRAGEOUS pricing. Over $80 for only a couple of hours. Should be illegal!
