The first experience, and the worst experience, I could imagine having when trying to store my belongings in a very stressful period. I have booked a tens foot room four days prior to my moving my belongings there, which you would imagine, was plenty of time to ensure that the room was adequate safe and ready. However, on arriving and taking my belongings to the locker on a rushed schedule, the door is opened only to find a room flooded with some various solid materials and liquid that could not be ascertained As to what it was. The individual supposedly helping me an Indian gentleman, told me that I have to put my belongings in a 16 square foot room and pay the difference, which was double the price! Of course, I told him this was absolutely ridiculous and that I would not be doing that, and I have booked a room which was £13 per week and that is what they needed to provide. Otherwise I was going to be taking my belongings somewhere else, and with absolutely no plan that was going to destroy my whole days schedule. You’ve been agreed the commonsense conclusion that I would be paying the same price as I had already agreed and actually at that point paid for, but indeed have my stuff stored in the 16 square-foot room until the original room was repaired. One week later, I’m getting voicemails stating that they now original 10 square-foot room was ready for me to have my stuff put into. Upon calling this company and this same individual, he then told me that it was my responsibility to spend half of my day travelling across London to this to move my belongings into The now repaired, 10 square-foot room. I told him that he could move it himself, and that I had no intention of spending half my day and travel costs to rectify situation that was entirely their responsibility. He then went on to explain that it was nobody‘s fault and that these things happen! When I try to explain to him that it is indeed his fault and the companies responsibility to have a room in the safe and working order prior to a client – customer arriving with their belongings and that they had five days to do so. He rejected this with some nonsensical, unintelligible argument and stated that they were not insured to touch my belongings and move themselves… I’m awaiting to speak to manager tomorrow regarding the matter as I have no intention of wasting my time and money to go and rectify a problem which is theirs and not mine without adequate compensation. I do not recommend this company to anyone. I wish I’d made a different choice.

Loophole in Contract Staff upon sign up and facilities were great. Clean, safe storage and overall satisfied with the storing my my goods. I was told I needed to give 14 days notice in order to not be charged (I paid upfront), so 14 days prior to the date I was paid up until, I gave my notice. Since this particular location only has one day of the week they are open late that works with my schedule, I ended up vacating my storage two days EARLY.... I later received an invoice with an additional charge, and when I called about it, since it was 3 mins until closing, no one answered and I was redirected to the customer service department. They were not able to explain my fee and said "well the store closes in 3 mins so just try calling back tomorrow...." Monday morning I received a call asking for the invoice to be paid and I asked them to explain the charge, and they said because I did not stay the entirety of my 14 days notice, I was being charged. I should have given my 14 days notice two days prior... But that makes zero since because I had already paid through up until the date I had given notice... Very unsatisfied with this loophole in the contract. Because if I would have given two days earlier notice would I have been reimbursed for the days I had already paid up until? No where in the contract did it say I would be charged for vacating early and they stated that the charge is because I only gave 12 days notice instead of 14... Absolutely ridiculous!

I stored with Safestore Earls Court for about 10 years. I stayed only because of the location. Dealing with them was very difficult. They seem to only care about getting new customers, not retaining old ones. The rent increases every year 20-25% without fail. If you dispute the increase they don't reply to your messages. I had to message via twitter and facebook to get a response (then they promised to do things but never did). The only way to get a response is by requesting a quote from their website. They have a HUGE staff turnover, so there is no follow through or follow up, (head office management must be terrible based on the number of managers the Earls Court office has gone through). At one point there was no ladder to access my locker and it took SIX MONTHS and 3 managers to "repair" the ladder. I literally couldn't get to my things and I almost missed a flight because of this, but they STILL increased the rent on the box that year. I recommend avoiding Safe Store at all costs. Also get your own INSURANCE, it'll be 10% of the price they charge.

I am currently storing goods here. I contacted the company today to say that I will be emptying my unit on 30 August. I have given 23 days notice. They insist that I must pay £672.05 on 17 August which would cover renting the unit until 13 September, and then wait until 7 September for a refund of the over charge of £336.02. I think this is outrageous. I have given plenty of notice. There is no justification for collecting rent beyond that payable to 30 August. In response to the owner's response - no you don't have to force me to pay four weeks instead of two. You could easily bill me for just the two weeks that I will be using the unit. It is your choice to charge double, effectively giving yourself an interest-free loan. Do the right thing or agree that you are a one-star operation.

Good location and facilities and friendly staff however 1. The opening hours are not convenient. Throughout the week people work and you are open 08:00-18:00 for most of the days which means that when people are back from work they cannot use your service 2. In the email confirmation you send when someone pre books you do not mention anywhere anything about opening times. Someone who doesn't know your opening times (like myself) and assumes based on common sense that you will be open at least until the evening may end up in a situation of organising a move after work, bringing their stuff and finding the facilities closed. You need to highlight this information in the email confirmation to ensure your customers avoid inconveniences or you should rethink your opening times policy

We were planning to collect things from our box for a house move, had a stressful day with the logistics of the move alone and being stuck in central London traffic… We called Safestore to inform them that we will be around 5-10min before closing and will need max 10-15min to empty the box and load up the van. When we arrived at 17:55 the member of staff on duty at the time was literally chasing us out of the premises yelling “you need to go NOW!”. We were the only people there and had maybe a dozen boxes. He could have closed the gate and let us empty the room in the meantime, instead he decided to be rude and utterly unhelpful. Yes, it was couple minutes past closing time, he didn’t have to help us. By the same token I don’t have to write a good review.

This morning I was helped by Mansoor. This was my first time using a storage place in london and Mansoor was extremely helpful in making the process quick, simple and easy. He was extremely welcoming and kind !! My only complaint about this safe storage complex is that I was not at all prepared for the way I had to carry the boxes up a small metallic ladder. Considering the weight and size of the boxes, I find this extremely dangerous and I was not warned about that at all. If I had known beforehand I do not think I would have risked accepting the contract. Because of this I wanted to give this a 3 star but because of Mansoor’s great customer service I’ve left this review 4 stars.

Horrible experience so far. The front office will tell you they have a dehumidifier. But turns out they actually do not. There's mold on my items. I showed the staff. They told me I could claim with insurance but never provided any details. I've had to treat the mold so it does not spread. Then, they've told me this invalidates insurance without ever giving me the information. When confronted with the inconsistent information, the manager simply refused to respond and sent me to someone else in the office to discuss. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM. YOUR ITEMS WILL BE DESTROYED.

Quite satisfied until now with the overall service and help received by the personnel here. 16ft squares was more than enough for my 6 boxes and 2 suitcases. It's a plus that the period that you can leave your stuff doesn't have to be at least for one month as other storage companies. The only reason that I am not putting 5 stars is because I was not informed beforehand that padlocks are not provided to lock your storage place. As a result, I had to pay 12.99£ more to purchase a padlock there. Probably I could have found a cheaper one in Argos etc.

Safestore at earl's court are great and I really recommend them. I had to move at short notice and being able to store my things quickly really took some of the stress and pressure off the situation. The staff I interacted the most were Omar and Ikenna who were friendly, professional and clear in their explanations and communications. Lasltly, I think the price was really affordable compared to what I first thought I would have to pay. If you are in the Earl's Court area and need to store some belongings give these folks a ring!

I was making arrangements in advance from afar and all email communication was rapid and clear. The entire facility was clean, dry, and well maintained. Minor caveat: If height is an issue, note that the 10 sqft spaces are often above the other spaces. This means the 16 and 25 sqft spaces are much closer to 7 ft high than 9 ft; a ladder (available on site) may be necessary to access the 10 sqft spaces. Fortunately in my case, height issues are not a problem and I am truly glad to be doing business with Safestore Earls Court.

If I could score these guys 1 million stars I would. I can't thank SSS Earls Court enough - from the moment I spoke with Ryan on the telephone, to being greeted by Matt, then welcomed back by Karl - this team is simply flawless. They were all so efficient and swift. They were a welcome sense of calm amidst my panic and I can't recommend them enough. A superhuman team that all deserve big raises!!!!! For any storage solution, start at SSS Earls Court - THANK YOU GUYS!

Was pretty straight-forward for me to rock up with a van with a pile of moving boxes and arrange a storage room on the spot, after calling to check availability. The guy working in the shop was very friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable, and location is good. Update: Been using this storage a couple of times now, and it's always been very smooth. Staff is generally helpful, they reply quickly to emails, and try to accommodate one's needs.

Totally recommend storing here! Never seen another company calling you almost immediately after you enquire (perfect if you’re looking for something last minute). The whole process was very quick and the contract I had was also flexible in terms of dates which gave me a peace of mind as I did not have concrete dates on when I wanted to store with them. Andrew from Earls Court Safestore was super friendly and patient with me as a customer!

Safe, fast, friendly. Matt was great personable customer service personified. Needed short notice storage on a weekend and he went out of his way to get me a unit that is exactly the size I need (no upsell) and for a competitive price - just bring your own padlock. When retrieving stored items all perfect condition, no damp or dust etc. Walked past the place at night and it's basically Fort Knox. All in all, recommended.

we had a huge amount of cargo to be placed in our storage, and Karl helped us a lot with coordination and even personal assistance which I am sure it was not his duty to do it, but he helped until we placed all our goods safely in storage. Also, he helped how to organize disposal of garbage that we left behind in the yard and also provided personal assistance. Thank you for cooperation!

Totally positive experience, from initial telephone enquiry with Divine through to arriving at the storage facility, completing the relevant paperwork and being shown to my Unit. Divine executed his duties with complete confidence and professionalism and removed any stress and anxiety I might of been feeling prior to this. 10 out of 10 for Divine, a credit to the branch, thank you.

Process to enter your things is long due to security checks, which is good. However hidden costs increase the price beyond expected and you can have a surprise. Service was ok. However however, I still have to pick my things and they promised to help me to take down my things from a storage room difficulty accessible, after all the surprises, lets see if they keep their word.

Convenient location in the heart of SW London, accessible and secure. Professional staff, intuitive online processing and great customer service during the induction period. Safe store Earl's Court on Seagrave is a convenient location and a very well-run facility. The staff are very professional and efficient. They are especially skilled at managing the vehicle traffic of customers coming to load and unload on busy days. I highly recommend their service whether for short-term or for long-term storage.

Worst safestore I've ever used, and I used a lot of them in the past. They wanted to charge me a different amount when I arrived, but that was resolved. However they still have the wrong amount on their system and keep sending me emails everyday reminding me to pay the outstanding balance even though I've paid a few weeks ago.

Very profesional and kind people. They always answered all my questions and they give you the best advice to what really you really need and not in their own interest. They gave me a good offer and were very patient as it took me a long time to decide what storage I wanted. Definitely this is my place to store my stuff.

Chandra is a very nice person, he helped me move from a 16 sqft unit to a much nicer 20 sqft unit so I don’t have to move my boxes ups and downs with a staircase. He also reminded me about the 14 day notice window I need to give before moving out. He is really helpful through out, I strongly recommend using safestore

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Store was clean. Why it did not get 5 stars is that Safestore calculates a week, 6 days. I did not know that and was not told that. So if they give you an offer for a week, remember its for 6 days, not 7. My opinion is that this is a way of ripoff but ok.

They lied to me more than 2 times saying they have rooms available when actually it was a locker. They even tried to change the price agreed in the reservation when i went to the store to leave my stuff

Have had a unit here since the 1990s and most of the staff have been very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately it is just too expensive for the size to maintain so have emptied it.
