Often difficult to find parking spaces, and there is only one lift, which can mean a long queue to access my (former) unit. Room was a shape that made it difficult to access some of my items without removing everything in order to get to them. Didn't tell me that if you don't access the unit outside normal hours for a period of time they remove the access - always good to find out when you need access out of hours! Fast to add an extortionate £19.50 late payment charge if you forget to pay, but two and a half weeks after moving out I am *still* waiting for a refund, but no response to emails. Moved to Big Yellow - cheaper, two nice big lifts, room is alarmed (Safestore rooms aren't, which was a concern when the gates were broken for several months), and the 25sq foot unit there, which is supposedly the same size as the Safestore one, has room to spare, whereas the Safestore one was bursting at the seams! Exact same contents!

Awful experience for me. Phone up and asked if they'd match yellow storage's qoute, got told "yeah mate ours is 24hr, we'll give you a 35 sq ft because we dont do 30 sq ft, we'll give you 10% off too" so I thought sweet... went down and showed them the email and my qoute from yellow and had a look at the unit and there's a massive pole through it but thought to myself it's a "bigger unit" and all that, dont worry about it. I then sat there for 25 minutes setting it all up for them to say "oh this quotes for a 30 sq ft" I said "yeah I told him that on the phone.. if you cant honour it I'm not doing it" knowing where it was going and she's like "nah, wait I'll see what I can do" so waited another 5 minutes to be told " the best i can do is"... so yeah waste of my time and fuel.

I wanted to leave a review to reflect on the service I received when I contacted this company to ask about unit sizes. I spoke to a very friendly lady called Charlie Walpole who I believe works on reception and well I simply don't know how I would of understood so well without her. I'm not good with measurements but she took her time to tell me some examples of what unit size would fit what inside and just made the whole process easy and understandable. I look forward to storing with you guys in the very near future when I complete on my house and will come looming for this helpful lady and her team.

I needed some affordable storage in between a house move and came across Safestore as the closest to where I was at the time. The process to sign up and start storing my items was really easy with the help from Charlie. Accessing the storage space was also made easy with the key fob. Once I no longer needed the storage space, I just had to simply let them know with a 2 week notice period and hand in my keys and it was all swiftly sorted. As a bonus, I was really impressed that Charlie even remembered my name which I can't say has happened in many places where I've been a customer/ client!

My experience at Safestore Mitcham has been a real pleasure both Jason and Charlie have been particularly helpful by going out of their way to organise what i needed. Charlie has been especially helpful and has gone above and beyond what i expected!!! She has been consistent and very open and helpful, it has made my experience at Safestore pleasurable. In this day and age it has been really nice to receive such good customer service. She really is an asset to this company and i hope that they reward her good service...

We went today to store some of our belongings in Safestore Self Storage Mitcham. Charlie was the staff that helped us and guided us throughout the process of storage. Great service and staff, who were really professional, helpful and looked after me. Just need to be careful about access out of hours, as we thought we had 24 hour access and was almost locked in with my 5 year old for the night, with no emergency exit or visible emergency number to call. Could have been scary for my little one

I am really glad I have chosen Safestore. My first experience went hassle free despite the fact I picked the wrong size of the unit. Jayson has been so helpful and accommodating, he offered me a unusualy shaped unit which was perfect for my needs. Great service, Jayson you deserve a pay rise! :)

One of the most affordable storage facilities, great and cooperative personal , they are very flexible with any needs and changes occurring . We changed 3/4 times our storage spaces as we needed different sizes during different period of times. Overall really great and we are very satisfied.

Booked a unit via website at Mitcham and completed all ID checks via email. This was easy to do and when arriving to use the store it was quick to complete the final formalities. The young lady on the desk was super efficient and explained everything clearly.

I used safe store recently as i was moving home and needed it to store my things. They were very helpful. Especially Jason the manager, he's such a decent guy. I was supposed to give notice before clearing out my storage and Jason did it for me with no fuss.

Charlie and Jason are great, BUT......When I was in the reception, it was disgustingly hot, there is no a/c or breeze, even the fans are blowing hot air so I suggest getting someone to fit some Aircon to make it a more pleasant experience. Thank you

All went well but my FOB was not activated for some reason...and I came to Safestore about 5.45 Saturday and there was staff available to update my FOB otherwise would have been an issue as I had arranged transport to move my things.

Never will I go to safestore in mitcham,100 morden high road again. Completely untrained staff.... 1.no knowledge 2.incorrect boxes 3. no boxes in the lower sizes 4. parcel won't even be delivered, but get returned. ... no.point.

Some staff are very rude, I only use it as a collection point but certain staff barely acknowledge you when you enter premises, if I'm struggling with a heavy box or trolley they never offer to even hold the doors open for you .

Just completing a large move and Tyrone at the Mitcham store went out of his way to help us getting an additional store unit just before closing time. Excellent service and Tyrone is definitely an asset for Safestore!

Knowledge staff. Taken delivery of my goods in my absence on a number of occasions and kept me updated. Polite, friendly and helpful people. Very much satisfied with their service and will recommend them.
