Don’t store anything valuable or large here. Their lift was out of operation ‘until further notice’ meaning my large sofa bed on the first floor couldn’t be retrieved before the end of my contract (their stairs are tiny), despite movers being pre-booked and paid for. I was notified in writing (by James who was helpful throughout) that I wouldn’t be charged until the lift was repaired but Safestore management (Dan) overruled that on the day - two weeks later - the the lift was repaired. I was subsequently charged for the additional two weeks my sofa was held hostage, charged a late fee for a payment I’d been told I wasn’t liable for, and sent aggressive letters. In total it cost me an additional £200 in cancelled removals, unwarranted charges and the fees I was notified I wasn’t liable for. And I didn’t have a sofa at home during that time either - it was far from a good customer experience. Avoid at all costs - management are neither ethical or trustworthy, and there are many other good local options. My new velvet sofa was also significantly damaged thanks to the difficult/tight access to their units. Avoid.

Outstanding service from start to finish. It's my first time using storage facilities and from the moment Maria contacted me she has consistently offered excellent customer service which has exceeded my expectations. The consultation call was clear, concise and informative offering the best solution for my requirements. On the day of my removal van arriving, Maria made sure that everything was in place and advised the removal team how to unload into the facility to ensure all items fit safely and securely. Safestore stanmore is maintained to a high standard with additional measures in place for Covid 19. The best option to save the space in your accommodation, or even when you are not in the country and you don't know what to do with your staff! Very welcoming and helpful teamwork! Very clean storages, organized and depending of how many luggages you have you get the right storage space with affordable price offer. I was recommend safestore by a friend, as I needed to send an important parcel out of London. The customer service I received from the sales assistant Kevin was beyond excellent, he advised that they provide DHL services which exceeded expectations, everything went smoothly and the parcel reached safely within the stipulated time frame. Based on this experience I would definitely use them as a delivery service

The staff at Safestore Stanmore are amazing, they were really helpful, friendly and made the whole process really easy. Due to bank holiday traffic we were behind schedule and when we called them up they were happy to keep the branch open a further 15 minutes so we could store the last of our stuff. Pretty useful self storage facility. Staff are also quite vigilant and make sure no customers hog all the loading trolleys. Car park could be a little bigger though.
