"Hi Store OWNER and MANAGER your fragrance department very bad I am your loyal customer have saks fifth credit card for long time but after meeting today 2 old woman's name ALLEN or ANNAN and other one don't remember the name who work at your store for BOND NO 9 they both very rude and not helpful employee's specially I just don't understand their Russian language both speaking with each other and talking may be bad about me very unlpleasant experience never coming back I bought $300 cologne online and they don't like to accept exchange in the store because they told me I already spray one i told her I never spray that's how I received in the Mail they want me to send it back to saks and fifth online store my humble opinion people now shouldn't shop in this store everyone should buy onlines because if employees don't want help in the store then why they are even getting paid I feel like they are making fool store owner and the manager very RUDE staff"
I was excited to purchase the Fendi baguette in the yellow color. This color is so hard to get and sold out everywhere. When I called the Fendi boutique in Saks and spoke to Jessie he said they will be receiving one in 3-4 days that a store in the West Coast mailed it out to them. So of course I was happy and gave out my debit card info. The day came and didn’t hear nothing from Jessie So I texted him.. he responded the next day and said don’t know what happened but we should be getting he bag by next no later than Wednesday. Ok because I wanted the bag I waited. Next week came Thursday at the point I didn’t hear from Jessie and I was over so AGAIN I texted him said to delete my info. Funny thing right Away he texted saying I got the bag. Keep in mind I been wanting this bag for a while and he got it so I was like why not send it to me and plus he said because of the inconvenience I will Over night the bag. I was great thank you’ well AFTER he rang me up he said sorry it won’t get there Friday not until Monday... really!? Whatever mail it I got it Monday afternoon I didn’t open right away because I got home late from work and of course I wanted to do a video. So Thursday my dad off came and I opened the bag and what do I find a red stain, scratches and no authenticity card. At that point I had it I immediately texted Jessie with pictures of it. He of course never responded until I CALLED THE NEXT DAY and of course to my surprise he answer the phone what did he say... I emailed the pictures to my manager and we denied the transaction. We mailed the bag in good condition. I told him no not only was it stained no paperwork. He said oh I’m sure I mailed that too. He didn’t sound sure. He said well my manager won’t come back till Monday. Ok well I mailed the bag and I will call him Monday came and I called the store and again Jessie answered what did he sAy manager is on a Confress call and he will call you back in an hour. All day pass by and didn’t get a call So I decided to wait for them to receive the bag maybe they will call me... NO they didn’t I had to call jessie and send him text Finally after several hours gone by I get a call from Bryant telling me he was 100% sure he bag was mailed in brand new condition. He never pack the bag himself or was there. And I was not going to get a replacement or a refund and to call customer service. And immediately started given me the number. We are talking about $3500 not $5.00 He of course hung the phone on me . As you can imagine I’m furious id called the customer service for them to tell me they can do nothing from there end they have to contact the store boutique. So why would Bryant brush me off with them if they can’t do nothing. Is 5:52pm and I got an email from Bryan saying as I mentioned no credit or replacement I clean the stain as a COURTESY.... what Courtesy I didn’t use the bag so don’t give me that. I told Bryant and texted Jessie this right here is stealing from the customer. First time purchasing from Fendi and what a bad experience but I always shop with Saks and for them not to do nothing Makes me wonder if is because of my last name Not once I got an apology from none and the SA Jessie who sold me the bag never ever responded. He knows exactly how he mailed the bag. I also contacted the store manager from Saks and they keep on telling me phone is busy call back All they’re good for is to taking your money but sending you used items. I will never buy from Saks or Fendi again.
Definitely gone downhill. Bought something in the Chicago store and returned to SF. $500 belt that ended up too big. They didn't carry it nor offered to order it so I returned and walked over to Burberry and bought it. There is a tax difference-(Chicago vs SF) in this case, it was a $500 belt and the tax difference was just 7 cents so it did not matter. What mattered it that prior to starting the return, I asked specifically if the tax difference is automatically calculated or not and she mumbled something about sometimes there is credit or something ( I really didn't understand her). So she completes the return and tell me that I get 7 cents less because our tax in SF ask higher....As if I was speaking another language!!! I took my receipt and told her that was fine but that she is supposed to give me back the tax that I paid and not what the local tax is and she said "well, I don't know how to do that" and as I was leaving I mentioned that this should be done correctly as you can't arbitrarily give me a different amount than what I paid. Sarcastically she said she would tell her manager and the gentleman at the refund register gave me a weird look ....again, 7 cents- it was all about customer service and in this case, lack thereof! Heading there tomorrow to return a pair of $1,000 Manolo's...Bought online and received a different size- human error, that's ok. What is not ok is that the shoes were literally thrown in the box, heel to heel (not how shoes are placed in a box), missing a dust bag, all the tissue crumbled up, and an insoles was taped inside of one of them. So who ever packaged this up to send to me after they received my $1,000+ dollars just could care less and didn't even get rid of the remnants of someone else from these shoes.....oh, I mention this even though it was an online order as it came from this store!
Unpleasant salesperson who treated me completely differently from the customer before me. The salesperson treated the white lady in front of me in an entirely different manner than how she treated me. We were both returning an online purchase that was both in a box it was shipped in. To the white woman in front she took the box, unwrapped the product, made small talk, and asked how she wanted her return. She even took the box the customer had brought in and offered to toss it for her. The salesperson even walked out from behind the cashier to hand the receipt and her credit card personally to her. Then it was my turn. The salesperson didn't say a word. Waited for me to open the box and hand her the receipt. Did not ask me how I wanted to my return so I told her I wanted a giftcard. She walked behind the counter to process the return. She then just placed the receipt and giftcard on the counter without saying a word. There was no offer to toss the box I brought in. I was shocked at how different her demeanor was. What could I have possibly done to offend her when I walked in with the first customer together? Was it because I was Asian? Truly unpleasant return experience.
Union Square, Your First Stop in San Francisco In a town with abundant citywide shopping, #UNIONSQUARE is the center of San Francisco's shopping scene. With luxury boutiques, flagship stores, iconic brands and premium outlets, Union Square is a shoppers' paradise. Even if you're going for a city tour by San Francisco's own cable car, first stop should be the vibrant, modern, fashionable and cosmopolitan square. Virtually every brand in fashion is on or near this 2.6-acre public plaza bordered by Geary, Stockton, Post and the historic Powell Street. Among the luxury brands that front or surround the square are Neiman Marcus, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Victoria's Secret, Nike, Apple stores, to name a few. Union Square is also a place of popular public concerts, art shows and theaters contributing to its dynamic, 24-hour character. While walking down the Powell, the cheery ringing of cable car bells will mesmerize you. The square and its neighbourhood have been featured in Alfred Hitchcock's thriller "Vertigo" and "The Birds".

I understand the 1-2 star reviews but had a generally good experience here. You need to know how to deal with people who work the floor at high end stores and if you do, they can be quite charming. I want to give a shout out to Bernard in Men's who was fantastic in helping me purchase a couple of items (but left the tags on my items.. whoops) but also to Romina who particularly went above and beyond to help me when I had to return to the store due to the aforementioned tags being left on items (this is the only reason I knock a star off – at this level of store, it's a faux pas to have a customer need to return over such a matter). The selection in this store in good, the atmosphere is nice, and the staff.. they're nothing less than charming if you know how to engage with them.
Visited Saks Fifth Avenue at Union Square while on vacation earlier this summer (June 2018) and had an exceptional customer experience in the fragrance department with specialists Kvan and Gio. They went above and beyond to find the scent that inspired me --translated: they were incredibly patient with my picky tastes and paid close attention to my words and reactions (I'm not particularly articulate in knowing what "hints" and "notes" that I'm looking for). When we landed on the ones (because, like outfits, I fell in love with multiple) they worked to have it shipped directly to save me the hassle of traveling with yet another item to pack. I'm so glad that I stopped in on a whim! Please go see them. You will not leave disappointed or empty handed!
Marilyn at the Lancome makeup counter deserves 5 stars!!! She was so sweet, kind, and helpful. She helped me find the makeup I needed. Shes the best!! Love her. I was also helped by a nice lady in the lingerie department. She was good. Minus 1 star because some guy at the parfume counter (didnt catch his name, white, tall, brown hair). On my way out I stopped and smelled a parfum. He gave the the rudest glare and asked if I needed help, I said I didn’t I had just made my purchase and was done shopping and on my way out. So I said no. As I was walking away he said “are you looking for something?” I said “I’m good” and continued walking out. Seriously? Whats up with the rude glares. Everyone else besides him was helpful and nice!!!
If you wanna experience what worst customer service in the whole world this place is the right definition for it ,if you want to be investigated !!!!!and see sales associate especially la mer counter fighting just in front of your eyes it's the right place to go!!!! and if you want to see How low class this is and you enjoy this just go there and try to buy from la mer products but not from there associate and definitely there will be action movie just live no need to go to any theater ,very bad image for luxurious saks fifth avenue, if you are addicted for shopping just go there and you will be healed from your addiction worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever, bought an MCM handbag returned to the store, and never get full refund since they have gift card offer, now they need to deduct that offer, neither never explain or detailed that offer. more worst is even they called their main office and the SF store manager approved to refund with no defuction, still can't honor that refund. this is my 2nd time experiencing worst customer service on this store.. the other one have a case number for my missing return, it arrived in the facilities but never have refund case #06025129.... Never ever purchase again and let my friends and family do the same
there is seriously something wrong with, staff there. They, guys of 2nd floor and fifth floor, are either too defensive or unfriendly. The ones at first floor are obsessed with watching videos on. Cells rather than serve customers. The ones at second talked to,me like he is my boss when all I want is size info. The ones at fifth floor are so sensitive and defensive. They lost their tempers when I said a specific shirt is too girlie. I am a regular visitor of atlanta's saks. The difference between service of the two, stores is way too huge.SF's man, store is purely a disaster. Never gonna come back
I Received an email stating that my package was delivered and my account was billed and after many phone calls telling the store that I had not received the item. I had to contact senior leadership. As it turns out the item never left the store and I had to write a letter to the CEO explaining what had happened and how they charge my account for an item that never shipped. This has happened to me THREE times. And I have to fight tooth and nail to get my account credited for the clothing I love the to shop at Sax but I think it’s time to cut the Sax credit card and move on to Neiman Marcus
Many of the products at Saks are awesome and I have bought some beautiful suits at great sale prices. The low rating is for insane purchase policies. Saks, someone who cares, get a hold of me. 1. There S.F. store would not honor lower online Saks price. 2. Pre-ordered a jacket that still hasn't been delivered though the item is now available and customer service can't tell me when I will receive it but suggests I can cancel and re-order-are you insane Saks? 3. Purchased two suits, one of which was already altered, returned and re-sold to me, really, no quality control-super ghetto!
Worst customer service ever! I never received the item I purchased online! After multiple calls to the customer service and about 10 days, they just sent me an email saying that they can't even refund me for the lost item! The most disrespectful and unhelpful customer service I have ever seen! They just told me that the item was delivered and probably got stolen! Unbelievable! This was the worst online shopping experience that I ever had and will never buy anything from Saks again because in these situations there's no customer service!
I placed my pre-order back in November 2021. The order was supposed to arrive delivered to my home before December 10th. It didn’t arrive. I received an update that it will then arrive AFTER Christmas. Nope. Still didn’t arrive. Then I never received an update and had to chat them. The customer service said my order is still processing. This was back in late January. And now in late February I received an email from Saks that THEY cancelled my pre-order because they sold out?! I will never be shopping with Saks again.
I can't speak for the entire Saks SA team (as my experience with them have been just "okay"), but I can definitely say Zorana at the Chanel counter is absolutely wonderful. I have been working with Zorana as my Saks SA for a few years now and she is such a treasure. I highly recommend working with her especially if you have any strong stylistic preferences or even restrictions due to culture or religion, as she is very respectful of those elements and just a kind person in general.
Come here to buy your Chanel makeup. Out of all department stores in the area this counter is the best experience. The environment is always relaxed and pleasant. The selection of inventory is full and you can find colors here other counters won't have. Bonus: Saks does not have an affiliation with MAC (thank goodness) so you wont be plagued to listen to the blasting music coming from the MAC counter, which will happen at Nordstrom or Bloomingdale's.
As I was holiday shopping with my son in this location, I was treated horribly as if them looking for a specific item for me was a big ordeal..and as I made a complaint to the store manager Pete about my interaction he was the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. Mind you my 16 year old son was with me and even wondered why the staff was so rude. I will never come back and will continue shopping at Niemans!!
Compared to Houston it's like a going to an outlet. Every time I go here they have limited selection on either items, sizes, selections, etc. Its just really poor. As opposed to Houston that has everything available to your liking. When you travel over an hour to go shopping and you get nothing its a major disappointment. I had my hopes up and were surely and swiftly let down. Great service but nothing to offer
i shipped all the returned items to the San Francisco store about 7 months ago . And they already received the items but never refund me . About 2000 dollars! This is horrible , and the store never replied to my email and phone! Called so many times , no reply . I still haven’t received my refund! Should I call the police to deal with this case ? The manager in this store never replied , too Horrible store !
Absolutely awful. Gave me the runaround; wasted hours and hours of my life on a what should have been a simple transaction. The lack of follow up - one "manager" gave me a non-working number as his "direct" line - being hung up on - more than once - having to call multiple departments, multiple people at the store, all very unprofessional. I will never shop there again.
Tailor was appallingly rude. Someone who conducts himself in such a manner should not be working at such a high end store like Saks. Other staff was friendly but not nearly as friendly/approachable as the mens store in Union Square. I'll shop from my friends at the New York store and have the stuff shipped before I will come back to this store again or go to Neimans...
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! The staff who works at the level of casual womenswear, a bald man, was very rude, wasn’t helping at all. And when he heard I might buy the clothing online ( Saks website) coz they ran out of my size in the store. He immediately turned around said “I don’t know”. Will not come back to this location ever again!
I really don't understand what is going on with this store!!!! Any ithem that they advertise, when you visit the site , find out that the ithem doesn't exist or is very different and higher price... Infact they advertise first, for lower price then , you find out it's a false advertising... This has been happening lately almost in all their ads....
Friendly and attentive staff were there to welcome me the minute I walked in. I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful they were (I was a little intimated walking into this store as I am not accustomed to shopping at this level of department store ). Special shout out to Diane H. who helped me pick out some great gifts. Keep up the good work!
I returned a pair of jeans back in September and I still have not received my refund!!! Every time I call and talk to a customer service rep (6 times now) they tell me they have taken care of it and I should receive my money in 2 days. It’s now 6 months later and they kept my $500. WORST customer service I have ever dealt with in my life!
BAD SERVICE Awful Asian Racism, especially manager in Fendi. Too slow when I returned a monster wallet. The manager was so mean when I asked for price adjustment from finding sale price on the website. He could explain to me nicely if he was not able to adjust the bill. His attitude was super bad. I returned it anyway.
Saks steals. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM ONLINE. I ordered a 20-piece cutlery set and they delivered only 5-pieces. After spending over an hour on the phone and sending photo evidence, Saks rejected the refund. I now have to call back and deal with it again. I am reporting to BBB . Avoid the headache and the store.
Saks Fifth Avenue's this store is located at the Post St, SFO and right in front of Macy's main building. It's accessible location helps bringing a good footfall of clothing and shopping lovers. Be it posh clothing, upscale home items of quality footwear, they've got a large variety of all the items of sale.
Great customer services. I absolutely love this location.theres 5levels of shopping . You can find a large array of perfumes, Bond No.9. Sutton Place is my favorite scent. You can find anything from your top clothing Designers . rag and bone, jbrand,Monclare ,Burberry etc. Also all your makeup needs.
Top Notch from the moment you enter you feel welcome and treated with the upmost respect and quality service. The variety of items and of only the best designers and makers of quality products meets all expectations for what Saks represents... Always a great experience and the employees are on point.
Good selection of men's clothing and cologne. Great customer service both during the shopping experience and after the purchase is made in the case of problems with an item. Kind of weird that they charge 10 cents per bag - most other high end shops cover that cost since it is so insignificant.
I was at the store on Feb 20. To my surprise, probably about 1/3 of their employees on the floor were not masked at all. I understand that they want to catch Covid and that's well with their right, but I have a lot of plans that don't involve covid. This will be my last time shopping there.
Without doubt, one of the most beautiful stores I have ever been to in the world. The visual merchandising is stunning and the staff in all departments are lovely without being overwhelming. It is top end but you will always pay for quality. Congratulations on a magnificent store.
I had never been inside Saks fifth avenue in Union square in San Francisco but I wanted some cologne and it was a it was the same price that I pay at other stores so but the customer service was great and the person that served me Raphael very knowledgeable about men's cologne
The store is very nice with a variety of products, with pleasant salespeople, especially in the shoe area, in the Creed brand perfumery area, the salesperson is stubborn, aggressive, not at all pleasant with the customer. I finally ended up buying where they treated me well.
Store is not what it used to be, can never get anyone to answer the phone at the store or in any dept. in the store its clear that they do not want customers to call, yet they want you to spend your money with them. No longer a luxury store that treats its customers special.
Diane the Frangrance Specialist was amazing. I literally walked in and spoke to 2 different people and they didn't budge to help me. Diane on the other hand was patient and very helpful! I will would 100 percent come back because of her. Service was amazing! Thanks Diane
Sales staff on men’s floor were more interested in their cell phones than my dollar, or queries today. As a former store manager of several high-end men’s clothiers I find this type of service reprehensible and worthy of policy change and/or dismissal. Avoid ! 11/26/17
I’m not sure if Saks has the internet or not? Plastic waste is killing our oceans. One dress comes with a box of wasted plastic! So annoying, have complained many times to no avail. Please get rid of plastic, do what Net-A-Porter does. And also ban fur! Thank you!
Ordered shoes from the salesperson online, when got the box there was only one shoe in the box. Called/emailed and no response. They refused to refund me. Sent the box to the store while spending more money on shipping and still no response or a refund.
This is Such a wonderful store and I've shopped here over the years! And over generations. My grandparents and mother and my husband and classmates Love this store. And I'm thrilled that downtown is really picking up after our challenging times …
Think twice if you are planning to buy gift or anything else ahead of time, their return policy is terrible, if you have no receive is even worst as other stores do finding your purchase with your credit card they can’t very obsolete system.
A phenomenal fashion experience begins at Saks Fifth Avenue on Post Street in Lower Nob Hill. Day or night the sophisticated enthusiasm exudes from the shop windows and marquee setting which greets visitors at the Union Square entrance.
Have shopped here for many years and the customer service has always been excellent. And always just a little ahead on the newest fashions. Not a place for a quick shop though, more a make a day of it sort of thing. Highly recommend.
Agent was nice, courteous and pleasant. Even though she was not supposed to accept my Returns due to final sale policy, she did anyway. I didn't see the final sales sign during purchase and for that am Happy and grateful. Thanks
Worst Customer service ever. There was an issue with there system so i could not receive the promotion. I called the second the issue happened and all i got was oh well. This my first time at sacks but i will stick with Neiman.
Young lady in men's fragrances did a marvelous job, she answered all the questions I asked, knew what fragrance I was looking for and steered me to the one I loved. Prada. Thanks your assistance was much appreciated.
Sept 2014 - Many floors, many brands. Can either browse or shop for hours and get everything you need at one go. I feel like if you do not come in decked in branded wear, the staff doesn't bother with your questions.
When I’m the store and the first thing I noticed was a bunch of young kids in hoodies and ski mask on. I felt like the store was going to be robbed. Not a good feeling to have when your shopping in a high end store.
Always love a good clearance rack ☺️ and finding some of my favorite designer pieces at a deep discount. This Saks has been here in SF forever. I will always love everything about this store and the building ❤️
Returning online purchases is a nightmare here. Every time we try to return something here, it takes 20+ minutes. Big waste of time. If I did not like the store, I would have given 1 stars for my experience.
Brand Name Label discounted clothes and shoes. Always fun to visit and rummage through the racks to see what deals you might uncover. We visited just before closing this trip so little time to scavenge
Rude and unfriendly staff. I asked where to find Moncler jackets and the associates told me to shop online. Didn't even bother telling me where to look in store. I won't be purchasing from this store.
Fantastic for someone. but casual wear better across this position. They are responding to my visit with too much attention in finding a restroom at the fifth floor. I feel awkward to just visit.
This store has everything! Located in Union Square, it's close to the major shopping area. While definitely upscale, there is a wide variety of styles and prices. The service is impeccable.
Very ignorant and arrogant people work there., Included store manager. I spend good amount of money there yet they give me wrong product. There customer service quality, just like Walmart .
First visit to a Saks and I was impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the store Staff were friendly and helpful. And the layout of the escalators made for an interesting visit.
Amazing great experience here! the staff are very friendly and warm! Especially friendly Darlene and Marlene who assist me with my dress hunting. Thank you for the great service!!!
Saks has the worst customer service ever. Instead of branding themselves as a luxury company their customer service is more in line with the dollar store
There is zero customer service available. How does this store even stay in business when it’s never busy yet they still don’t want to help you
Beautiful star with elegant layouts escalators and bling. Not as outrageously overpriced as Neiman Marcus but still priced way over Macy's.
Very beautiful place for just to know. Great and expensive brands you can to find here. But you don’t see a lot of attendants in the store.
Sacks is my favorite! No pressure, wonderful staff, helpful! Always happy with them !! Just wish more things will be in store:))
I worked there temporarily once when I was a lot younger and thinner. I love them. I have an account with them again
Not a very pleasant interaction with Mason in the men’s department today. I think I’ll stick with Nordstrom.
Amazing clothes! Every designer you would ever want. Very pricey but if you can afford it go for it.
Great area to hangout and shop in the middle of the city . Some nice attractions are also near by
Very disappointed in their fragrances selection as it is very limited. Go to Neiman instead.
Great customer service, at least in the men's section. Prices to match :-)
When we get there. We presence a great costumer service and a big store
Beautiful shop. Decorations were stunning. Staff were very friendly.
A nice store but it was quite empty during the week when we visited
Best Place to Shop! …and the current sale prices are phenomenal!
