Move over, Rice A Roni; there is a tastier and more substantial San Francisco Treat in the heart of Texas! San Francisco Bakery & Cafe brings a delicious level of phenomenal to the casual dining scene. My choice of Mexico blend coffee throws down a bold and bellicose bravura of spice and chocolate notes; stow the cream & sugar. The freshly-prepared bacon, egg and cheese croissant sandwich is a hit out of the (Candlestick) Park that the Giant Willie Mays would admire and respect. No one has ever accused this patron of being a ‘foodie’ or packing a discriminating palate. Having said that, the cooked-to-semi-perfection croissant soars like a seagull over the store-bought variety; even my dulled taste buds could discern the difference. The waitstaff is polite, ebullient and knowledgeable; their contributions are as flavorful as the entrees! Their restroom is spotless and homelike. For this patron, the restroom’s condition speaks volumes to the operation as a whole. This eminently satisfied patron eagerly anticipates returning for the expansive lunch repertoire. Strike culinary gold at San Francisco Bakery & Cafe! This cozy little enclave cable car crunches the competition!

The clam chowder was pretty good especially if you’re used to eating it from a can. It’s thickened with a lot of flour and there are few very small bits of clam. The flavor is nice but if you’ve eaten really great clam chowders from restaurants, you may not be extremely impressed. The French onion soup was basically a very strong thin beef broth with overly caramelized onions, giving it a burnt flavor, with a dollop of cheese melted at the bottom and soggy chunks of bread floating around. Sorry, but not a fan of that one. The ham & Swiss sandwich was very good and very Cali-esk with the shaved carrots inside. I did spruce it up a little with my own avocado, stone ground mustard & salt and pepper— if they served it like that and toasted the bread, they would definitely have a winner. The tuna sandwich was actually pretty impressive too. I’m not always a fan because sometimes they can be too fishy for me, but this was clean and fresh and was well seasoned. Their bread seems pretty fresh but it’s too thick and bready for me. If they had options for grilled or toasted bread that would be awesome!

I dream of the day when I can have BOTH breakfast and lunch here. I love it that much. If you are like me and have absolutely no self control when it comes to desserts, be fully aware that you will not be able to leave here without one--BUT PROBABLY TWO--delicious freshly-baked items from their pastry case. Consider yourself warned. Their extensive selection of lunch sandwiches are some of the best in town for two reasons. First, the ingredients are insanely fresh and added with great care. Second, the bread. THE BREAD. It's delicious, particularly their sourdough (hence their namesake). These aren't ultra gourmet sandwiches with absurd sauces and fifty meats. They're simple, fresh, and perfect for what they are. Their soups and hot breakfast items (e.g. French toast and ham/cheese croissant) are also crave-worthy. And of course, a reminder about their case of house-made pastries and cookies. This is a great place for a casual breakfast or lunch business meeting and a great option to pick up treats for the office.

Absolutely amazing food and great service!! I could eat here every day. Two days before my baby’s due date I had myself an ultra feast with a variety of items from here and went into labor a couple of hours later... I’m not messing around when I say this place is fantastic. The quiche is incredible, the clam chowder soup is delicious and the sandwiches are fantastic. Their homemade buttermilk ranch dressing is amazing. Order some to go with your sandwich. And I can’t forget about their pastries... the chocolate cream cheese danish is out of this world. If you can’t tell, this is one of my favorite places in Austin. They’re not currently doing indoor dining, but there are some cafe tables outside. There’s also a nice little outdoor green area across the parking lot, behind madam mam’s that you can take your food and go sit and relax at if you’re looking for a little lunch break spot. Either way, you won’t be disappointed here!

Employees are very, very friendly! The restaurant has a welcoming feeling, despite some closed seating from COVID precautions. I've typically patronized them for their delicious pastries--which, whether fresh that day or in a bargain bag of day old, are always just the right combination of sweetness and bread and completely satisfying. I recommend coming and trying their sandwiches as well. You have a variety of bread choices, but come on! This is the San Francisco Bakery! You must try the sourdough! It's always soft with the perfect texture and crunchy crust. Their vegetables are always fresh too. I'd also like to note that when you get sandwiches to go, your container will be recyclable, not the typical Styrofoam you find in other places. This is a hidden gem worth seeking out.

It feels great knowing that we have such a wonderful local business within walking distance of our home. Everyone there, especially John (the owner) are extremely friendly and it seemed like the employees knew the names of every customer that came in! On our first visit we just got coffee and tea and John offered us a free baked good of our choosing (we picked the cinnamon bun and do not regret it!) to welcome us in. We came back for lunch the next weekend and we got some sandwiches which we loved! And once again John gave us some free asparagus soup because he really wanted us to try it. We also left with some croissants and a baguette. Everything we have had there has been delicious and everyone is so friendly! A must-visit for anyone in the area!

I have never had a bad experience at this cafe. The salads are amazing. The lettuce is always so fresh and crunchy and the chicken is perfectly cooked every time. The sandwiches are generous, like really generous. Thick cut bacon, beautiful sprouts, homemade ranch, chicken that’s still hot from being sautéed - it’s really nice. Sandwiches like that deserve special praise. The owner comes in every morning to make the pastries. They have fresh tea and coffee. The customer service is also so so delightful. Everyone who works there is so kind and happy to chat. They know everything about the menu and will happily answer questions. This place is such a hidden gem. I crave their sandwiches almost every day.

  • Zaid Gallo

This place is very charming. The hibiscus planted outside gave the experience a cheery start. They sell “yesterday’s bread” at a discount, so we bought a loaf to take home. There was a slight mix up where they gave our loaf to someone else, so they gave us a fresh loaf instead! We sat outside, sipping coffee. I had the breakfast sandwich with veggie sausage. The bread was great but the sandwich was dry if I’m being honest. It needed sauce or some fresh greens to wake it up a bit. My partner ordered the veggie quiche though, and ohmygoodness… that thing slaps I honestly didn’t know that quiche could be delicious like that. Is there a list for Best Quiche In America?

  • rachel harvey

Wonderful experience at San Francisco bakery! Of course the danishes, croissants, and sweets are amazing- but what really makes this place stand out is the service. In my life I’ve never encountered such fun, kind, and friendly staff. I work in retail and I know it’s not always pleasant interacting with customers, especially during a pandemic that has everyone on edge. My first time visiting was yesterday but I will definitely be back as many times as my waistband allows. Thank you for taking good care of your patrons and for keeping your doors open during these crazy times. You guys rock!

  • Daniel Norton

Despite their broken website and being well hidden behind CVS, there was a line six-deep at times during the lunch hour, and with good reason. The foundation of an excellent sandwich is the bread, and the baguette section around my salami and ham sandwich was superbly fresh with just the right amount of "chewiness". The garlic-toasted bread cubes on the Caesar salad were also excellent. I did have to bus my own table, not something they plan for, as there was no place to put their dishes. Plan on noshing on a sandwich or pastry here before a movie at the Alamo Cinema, next door.

  • Jake Mirra

This is the only cafe I'll go to work when I'm in north Austin. Lots of tables. Great service. This is not just a coffee shop with biscuits. They have a full breakfast/lunch menu, and the food is *excellent*. The service was probably my favorite thing about this place. The lady---I never got her name, but I think she owns the restaurant---was super friendly and helped us with our order. My partner and I had a great, full breakfast---omelettes, bacon, eggs, a sandwich, and two big, fancy lattes---for $20 after tax. A steal. Go here.

The soup and sandwich combo was the perfect lunch. The Santa Clara sandwich tasted fresh and the clam chowder soup was very good as well. The only problem is that the prices are a bit steep. For example, if you get the soup separately, you pay over $6 for a small (8 oz) cup, which would not be enough on its own, so in the end you either have to get a large soup or a combo. The sandwich was big, but could also be a bit cheaper, given the relative simplicity of ingredients. In any case, a decent cafe with good, fresh food.

I can not give enough stars to this place. When we lived over 17years ago in Austin this was our favorite place. When we drive through Austin we stop and it is just the way we remembered it. John the owner is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet and he and has kept this place just as amazing all these years. The marinated carrots are such an amazing addition to their sandwich, and the bread so fresh. Their cream of asparagus soup is unlike anything I’ve ever had. It’s still a family favorite.

  • Kevin Hight

A little disappointing. Was looking for something to eat other than a burger or such, and reviews looked generally encouraging. Got the combo sandwich and cup of soup, ordered roast beef and clam chowder. The sandwich was okay, but was 50% pickled carrots and Romain stalks. The carrots would have been fine as a side, but were overwhelming on the sandwich. Can’t comment on the chowder as they gave me the cream of chicken which was just meh. Wasn’t terrible, but that’s not really a complement is it?

  • Jennifer Kipp

Hands down one of my favorite places in Austin. Practically anything you get will be delicious. I get the turkey club - the bacon is always perfect, those marinated carrots - !! amazing. Best place in town for sourdough and honestly the best place for danishes, I might boldly say - in the entire united states. And lastly - if you want the best service, where they remember your name, definitely come here. Can't wait until all of this COVID stuff to be over, so I can come back inside to say Hi!

  • Daniela Warren

Cannot even begin to described how much I love this place and how much it means to me. I've been coming to this bakery/cafe for about two decades now. I love the family business aspect of this cafe and I have had multiple friends work here and report back a great work environment with owners who really value thier employees. That care and love is so present in the service and food. Thier sourdough bread is the only bread I buy. Food is scratch made and I've never had anything I didn't love.

  • S Hall (SimonHallRealEstate)

Decent Cafe experience. Food is average/good. Average price. Ambiance needs help. Free WiFi. I came here looking for an omelet. I didn't get what I was looking for but wasn't turned off enough to leave. I got a baguette along with my meal and it was tasteless. The omelet was average. Table was dirty, and wobbled my entire meal. I live down the street (biking distance) and I'm not sure if I'll be back or not. This is my second visit in a year I wasn't impressed last time either.

  • Haley Bui

Very affordable, delicious baked goods and sandwiches. The clam chowder soup is like I got yeeted back to SF’s Fisherman’s Wharf One thing I’m mad about is they stopped serving breakfast sandwiches after 11am and I do intermittent fasting so I’m never hungry before 12pm. Man… breakfast sandwich is my favorite thing in the world (to eat after 12pm ofc). Who do we have to fight to get extended breakfast time, fam? Just tell me, I’ll go square up, bet

  • Reid Wegrecki

Ordered decaf (which is usually very hit or miss at coffee shops these days) but it was DELICIOUS! Also I don't know what kind of soy milk they use but it is incredible. Cat (Kat?) offered to warm up my chocolate chunk cookie and it would be amazing if it weren't warm, but it is... :). Great place to sit and get some work done if needed; the warm drinks and pastries really hit the spot especially when cold weather hits! I'll definitely be here a lot :)

  • Lyda M

There are so many coffee shops around the area from Summer moon, Sorrentos, Epoch - but my favorite is always the San Francisco Bakery :) their pastries are to die for! Flaky and fresh and I can't get over how hospitable and kind whenever I make a call to place and order or walk in person to their shop! There needs to be more cafes like here and ya'll set the example very well! Thank you so much for serving us, LOVE everything about ya'll!

  • Emily Doubt

Everything they make is sooooo good! Their pastries are a delight, always a great thing to bring home as a treat. Their bread is great with soup, for sandwiches, or just by itself. I love their salads and sandwiches, anything with their pickled carrots. Also, the owners are some of the nicest people you will ever get the pleasure of meeting. Thanks for being a local restaurant. I really appreciate the care you take in all that you make.

  • Jaime Staalenburg

My family and I have been eating here for nearly fifteen years. We have loved it every. single. time. Yes, it's that delicious. Their bread is amazing. I love the sandwiches and soups. Chili is so good. My favorite meal is the turkey and bacon on sourdough. Every bite is something to savor and the bread is so perfectly done and chewy. You just have to see for yourself. If you're looking for a sandwich and a damn good meal, get it here.

  • Sharon Sandberg

Such a quaint cafe! One of the best lattes I've had (in fact, so good, it didn't need anything but the espresso and steamed milk imo). The pastry i had was flaky and buttery. Friendly service, and wonderful, quality items to choose from. Family owned and operated- and i support locals as much as i can, so i appreciate them even more. Breakfast and lunch is served, and very reasonable prices, especially for the quality of what you get.

  • R

Hayden (likely misspelled) is very engaging and extremely helpful when trying to decide what pastries to select. The raspberry chocolate croissant is the best I’ve had in Austin and the menu savory and sweet is diverse and high quality. I was born in Austin but spent my youth in CA before returning home. This cafe is a reflection of what San Francisco offered once upon a time when it was one of the greatest cities in the world.

  • David Kim

Food was delicious and service was excellent. Whitney had a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge of the shop. She introduced herself to me and was really top of it. I had an issue come up but the owner John went out of his way to solve it. Great guy! Love that it’s a small local business. Lots of heart. Fun fact they’ve been in this same location for decades! Talk about local. Will definitely be back.

  • Srinivas Patil

Have been visiting this place since we moved to Austin (in 1995!) and being vegetarians, the avocado and grilled eggplant/sandwiches have been our favorites since then. Love their pastries, and the restaurant has maintained its small, family-run look all these years. The food has been consistent all along, and now our kids also crave for the sandwiches and pastries from the restaurant.

  • Henrik R

Unpretentious cafe with excellent specialty coffees and tempting selection of pastries. They have all the good ingredients and finish the job - down to the cinnamon sprinkles. Much tastier coffee than in the Specialty coffee shop visible across the parking lot (that I tried last week). Going to come back and try lunch and breakfast menu. Exceptionally caring and nice service.

  • Kevin Hong

One of my favorite places to eat in Austin! They have a good selection for breakfast and great sandwich and soup combos! They make their own bread and their baguette is amazingly soft, just the way I like it. Portions are generous and the staff is always friendly! They also have great dessert croissants too which you can pair with some food coffee! Overall amazing place!

  • Misti Crooks

Absolutely love this place! I usually get the soup and quiche combo, but have had many of their sandwiches too - everything has always been great. Also, their sourdough bread is delicious. Go for the soup of the day - it's always "Cream of ____" and rotates between chicken, potato, broccoli, asparagus, etc. I've never had a bad meal here and the staff is super friendly.

  • Teresa McHaney

This place has instantly become one of my favorite places to go for lunch while I'm at school. The staff is extremely pleasant and patient, the food is superb, and the atmosphere is very cozy despite it being in the middle of a busy shopping center. I wish every cafe was like this; thanks to all the staff that make this restaurant a place of respite in a busy world!

  • Dusty Evans

This place is awful. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. They don’t know how to make drinks or work the machines. They also refused to give me a refund on the drinks I didn’t get because “only the owner can issue refunds” and he isn’t in during the day 30 minutes of my life and $10 wasted. I guess I’m going to have file a charge back on my credit card

  • Alex Vargas

Great place and great people. I had an amazing Italian sub with home made chips. As I was leaving I caught a sent of fresh bread and I had to take home some rosemary focaccia and some pastries for later. I've been in 4 other times and each time has been amazing service and food. They also have special home brewed tea and everything I've tried so far taste great.

  • Mike Galante

The food here is fine. There's nothing that has ever really impressed me. I usually get a sandwich, it fills me up, and I'm on my way. I suppose it serves its purpose, but I was hoping for a more "San Fran" experience. The sourdough bread is tasty, but not exceptional. They do have some delicious chocolate chip cookies though; make sure you get one of those.

  • Stephanie Hoffman

My new absolute favorite! I spent 30 min trying to find quality food reviews along with an ambiance that would allow me to have and hear conversation with my friend on a Saturday morning. I had never been here before and now I know- the very friendly staff, the absolutely delicious quiche and coffee is brewed to perfection! Thanks for being here**

  • Richard Frnka

Awesome cafe and bistro! I really like their rotating coffee selection (a different light and dark roast each day). My go-to is the quiche-soup combo with the Broccoli/ham quiche and clam chowder in a bread bowl. My partner loves the french onion soup! There's enough variety that you could eat here for lunch every day. Go get some and try it out!

  • Lili Hervi

This place is amazing! Even though we made it 15mins before closing, the service was amazing! Very friendly and they told us about the menu in a clear and nice way. Food? Incredible!! I’ve never tried a sandwich like that. I had to buy more croissants to go bc they are absolutely delicious.!

Friendly faces and charismatic service is only to be tip of the iceberg at this lovely sandwich shop. The meat is quality and the veggies are crisp and fresh (no brown spots or signs of aging) to he french onion soup was splendid and could compete with the much higher priced downtown delicatessens. Please come eat, they deserve your business.

  • Toby T

This was my first time here, the menu had plenty to pick through for a quick lunch. Immediately I was greeted by a smiling staff and was told to ask any questions I need too. I picked the soup and salad combo. French onion soup and a roast beef sandwich. I added chips and my bill came out to $15, which was worth. I will be back with a friend.

  • Sara Egner

Managed to catch the parmesan focaccia bread fresh out of the oven today. Eating it now. Felt compelled to tell the Googleverse how good this is. They also make a perfect latte over there, and all kinds of tasty sandwiches and pastries. They only have a few tables outside, but the area has some nice little walkways and nooks where you can go.

  • Lady Dulce

Came in for brunch and got the asparagus soup and vegeterian/avocado sandwich. The food was fresh, filling, and super tasty. My sandwich was piled high and the soup was the perfect temperature. The bread they use is wonderful. I also loved that there were vegeterian options and the cool timing sand contraption they gave out for my bf's tea.

  • Celina Nelson

I am definitely coming back here when I am in Austin next. The hot chocolate was divine and so were the pastries. But my favorite memory of the experience was connecting with Nancy (I believe that was her name :)) She is such an authentic human and she cares very much about the people who walk through the door, even if they are strangers!

  • Tanya S

This place is super yummy and I'm pretty sure locally owned. The women who work there are so nice and friendly, and have genuine conversations with you. I definitely recommend the ham and cheese croissant. It's very simple but the quality ingredients and warm atmosphere make it the perfect breakfast or any time of the day option! Enjoy!

  • Bill G

I have been coming to SFB for years. The food, service, and hospitality are exceptional! John and staff have done such a great job with the establishment. I can't say enough about the quality of the coffee, food and baked goods, they're all so good and consistent. Love this place!

Long story short about this place, a friend had told me to try out their French onion soup 12 to 13 years ago. I wanted to make a French onion soup on my own, but found it wasn't really all that great. So I checked out this place, and I've been going there for their wonderfully delicious French onion soup several times a year :-)

  • Ketan Patel

The bread and sandwiches here are great. I had the grilled eggplant sandwich and it was amazing! The eggplant was cooked perfectly and so was the squash. The provolone cheese was warm and gooey. And the pesto was a nice balance to the rest of the sandwich. They also have a large selection of coffee based beverages.

  • Lyda McIver

Whitney is THE BEST! Got my friend and I hooked on the iced mocha with coconut with oat milk and she handles everything with such care ! Their iced matcha is too!

My wife and I went here this morning for coffee while waiting for our dog having a treatment nearby and it was fantastic. Fresh, tasty pastries with a huge variety and the coffee was just perfect. Every item we ordered was top notch. I will definitely stop in again when I'm in the area. Highly recommend.

  • J. G.

Good sandwich and muffin and just as important, very good, polite and courteous staff. Too bad that today, my first time, I had the misfortune of sitting next to several inattentive parents of unruly kids who mistook the dining area for their playground. I would just carryout next time.

  • Hector De Leon

Wonderful bakery I've been going to for years. Excellent pastries, delicious food and top notch coffee. You couldn't ask for a better bakery. You can tell it's great because even though it's a bit hidden away tucked next to the village drafthouse there are always happy costumers inside.

  • danny strack

I've been eating here for over 15 years, and it has solidified itself as my favorite sandwich shop! Biggest winners are the Italian Ham & Genoa Salami, Turkey Bacon Club, Parmesan Focaccia, and the Clam Chowder... this is the only clam chowder I will eat! And I eat it about once a week!

  • Ryan Lomba

Legit quiche, tuna salad is on point, the New England clam chowder (soup of the day) had plenty of protein, and all the cookies I've had are perfectly cooked, with a good balance of sugar. I should also mention the French Onion soup - it's what people come here for, and it's terrific

  • Robin James

Real bread at last!! Been all over this area and came to the San Francisco Bakery on recommendation. Sandwich choices here are excellent using all their own home made bread, pastries are very good too and the coffee! Very helpful and friendly staff!! We were looked after very well!

  • Deb Paris

I needed a quick place to stop and get a sandwich for lunch and San Francisco Bakery and Café did not disappoint. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, my order was ready to go in less than five minutes, and the tuna salad sandwich was absolutely delicious.

  • ally

wanted to try a place and even this quaint little cafe was calling my name. i was really impressed with how friendly and welcoming the staff were! their loose leaf tea selection is also a lot better than a lot of places i’ve seen. very nice and will come back

  • Angie Hardy Borne

Love everything about this place, but especially the sourdough bread. My go-to is the Santa Cruz grilled chicken sandwich, also love their soups and pastries and tea. I live in South Austin but I try to visit every time an errand brings me north of the river.

  • alexandra carvallo

Absolutely fantastic! Love the food! Love the staff! Every experience I have had here has been a great one. It’s such a wonderful feeling to go somewhere and be remembered by name. The food is always amazing and I recommend this place to everyone I know!

  • Lauren

The food is fantastic. The quiche is great; my coworker got the chowder and was raving about it. Only issue is the minimal seating but I guess that's what happens when so many people want to go to a little bakery! Definitely a place we will go to again!

  • Danny P

John and his team consistently deliver fantastic pastries, coffee and much more. The service you receive makes you feel like they've known you for years. In an ever evolving Austin, I'm happy that places like this stand the test of time. Well done.

  • Lauren Minnici

The pastries are so good!!! I can't wait to come back and try more! Also, the Veggie Quiche is the BEST quiche I have ever had!! It's a good portion as well! The service was amazing too. I am really happy with everything this place has to offer!

  • Sanjay Nasta

Been going to San Francisco Bakery for over twenty years. Love most everything there. Favorite is the avocado veggie sandwich. Exceptional baked goods - this time it was a raspberry chocolate danish. Ready for their dining room to open back up

  • Di Gazdar

This is a nice little cafe tucked into a big shopping complex. I like that they have a wide variety of house- made choices. Large selection of sandwiches, salads, and soups. Also different iced tea flavors each day. Lots of parking available.

  • Sarah Parker

You can get soup in a bread bowl here, which is all the reason I ever need to come. And they're no longer cash-only! Now if only I could get the French Onion Soup in a bread bowl, my life would be complete. Otherwise I was quite happy with

  • pam harmatiuk

Went to this shop yesterday, ordered an egg breakfast sandwich. They charge me and then say "oh sorry we are out of eggs, lets see what else we can do for you we have teas and coffees...i ordered breakfast, no drink...they did not offer to

I live about 40 minutes away and my daughter had a summer camp nearby for a week. Instead of driving back and forth I decided to post up here to work each day and it was perfect. The staff was so nice! Shout out to Whitney for her coffee

  • Liz Ross

I absolutely love SF bakery and come frequently for lunch. I recommend it to all. I take my fellow clinicians at AOMA and have helped increase the fanbase there. There is a decades long relationship between AOMA and SF bakery for great

  • Adelle Loock

This is a delightful coffee shop/ bakery. Very well priced. Excellent chai tea. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They answer your questions politely. The interior and exterior is clean and spacious. This is one of my new favorites.

  • Gina D

Delicious danishes! But even more importantly at this time in my life, the cafe felt like home. Inviting music, loving people. Whitney is attentive and lovely. Thank you so much, I will definitely be back for more delicious sweets!

  • Jonny Gardner

This is one of the most memorable cafe experiences I’ve had in a while. The staff is really nice and love their job. You can just feel their energy. The coffee is really good bc they take pride in it. Def want to come back here!

  • Randal Robledo

I’ve eaten here more than a few times. I am always underwhelmed. A club sandwich in my opinion should have generous meat portions. A sandwich maker should ask if you want the bread toasted. Good quality products, poor execution.

  • L Estavillo

My husband and I have been coming to SFB for 20 years. They have great homemade bread and wonderful bakery items. We are vegetarians and they have two great veggie sandwiches. When we’re in this part of town, we go here often.

  • roseanna

Amazing bakery treats (from mini cinnamon buns to fresh baked bread, sandwiches, and more). Cold brew is my usual order and I love it. Their staff and owner are so friendly. It's always a treat for my family when we stop in.

  • Nita Kosler

First time there. Food was great. Large portions. Staff very friendly and helpful. Loved the "sidewalk"French Cafe feel. Beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy lunch with a good friend. Will definitely go back for seconds.

  • Briana Setliff

Amazing place! Best soup and sandwich I've had in a long time! The owner was so friendly and accomodating. He even let us try some of the homemade soups. Support locally owned business and give this wonderful shop a try!

  • Crystal Huang

Very tasty, very friendly, and very affordable! I found this place by googling "healthy lunch near me". The avocado and vegetable sandwich is delicious and vegetarian friendly. I do wish they had outdoor seating though.

  • Kelley Forester

My absolute fave cafe and bakery EVER. Delicious pastries and bread made daily. Great, fresh food and always a great staff. You can't go wrong here. The cream of asparagus soup in fresh sourdough bread bowl is amazing.

  • Allison Betancourt

Delicious breads made into delicious sandwiches. Can't go wrong with any of their baked breads. I highly recommend the focaccia. You can get soup or salad to go with any sandwich or ruffles or carrot and celery sticks.

  • Sylvana Cabrices

This is my second time here and it’s so good. I’m actually waiting for my food right now and the staff is phenomenal! They know all the regular names here!! I love that!!!! Oh and everything they serve is delicious.

  • Anne Marie

Love their Californian? Turkey club with avacado & alfalfa sprouts. Get it on a croissant, you won't regret it! The ppl there are very hospitable & happy to make ur order to your liking. Nice place..Nice atmosphere.

  • Sherry Glover

Been a long time since I was there. Disappointed that due to staffing shortages no inside dining. Felt wasteful using environmentally friendly throw aways, but understood. Soup and salad excellent as I remembered.

  • Al H. Swinson

The pastries are fresh and the drinks are delicious, it’s got a laid back atmosphere and the staff are attentive and chill. Day old pastry sales are most excellent. The place feels like a neighborhood coffee shop.

  • Charlene Smith

We moved to Seattle a few years ago. I still dream of the amazing tuna salad sandwich I left behind in Austin. We will be back once Covid makes its exit so we can safely visit. Awesome place! We miss it so much.

  • MeShay McKinney

I came in Thursday morning I had never been there before, please believe it will not be the last time. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I will be making a trip again and the staff was amazing and kind :)

This place rocks. The food was great. I will come back again. The only issue was use of plastic for just sandwich. My understanding is they are going back to dishes to reduce even more waste. Bravo to that!!

This review is purely for the sugar cookies. I am not normally a sugar cookie person - give me chocolate any day - but holy cow the sugar cookies here are revelatory. The are worth a trip alone. Magnifique

As always the tuna salad was awesome! And the French onion soup was just as good. Going there never gets old. The gals at the front counter are very friendly and helpful. We never get tired of going there.

Locally owned counts for a lot. Great food, with tasty healthy choices. The chocolate chip cookies keep me coming back. The service is very good, but expect a decent wait if there's a long line to order.

The woman behind the counter who’s name I unfortunately don’t remember was so sweet that I was moved to write a review even though I don’t usually write reviews :) and my iced dirty chai was fantastic!

So good I forgot to take a picture prior. The asparagus soup was delicious. I hope this bakery continues to do amazing and keeps that local feel in this growing city Will be back for sure! …

Every time I eat here the food is fresh and SO YUMMY! Also, the staff are incredibly friendly. I rarely leave reviews, but I am so impressed by this place that I want others to know about them!

Very nice pastries and selection, nice selection of sandwiches (but be aware they can’t be toasted after breakfast they said; which I would have preferred but oh well), and tasty espresso.

I've only ordered delivery, but it is SO good. Hits every single time. I always order the daily soup and never know what it will be and it's always delicious. This place is so good y'all.

Presentation was lovely, but I just wasn’t a fan of my sandwich. My grilled chicken was dry and lacked flavor. The ranch dress was watery and mild. Lovely place, but just not for me.

Lots to love about this bakery! Our go-to breakfast dishes are their breakfast sandwich on croissant, the cinnamon rolls, the veggie omelette. Lunch sandwiches are also delicious!

Love this place! Great quiche, good drinks and pastries and service. My guy likes their sandwiches but honestly I only ever get the veggie quiche. Come early for the day-olds.

Everything we had this morning was amazing! We had French toast and the egg breakfast. Also had a chili bread bowl and had to get some cookies too. Everything was perfect!

Edit 2023: every single time I visit this place I want to give them another 5 star review Original: Tasty sandwiches Served on freshly homemade breads By some dope people

Fresh bread - so soft! The tuna salad was very fresh tasting and there wasn't too much mayonnaise. I enjoyed their chili as well. It had just the right amount of kick.

Love the coffee and the vibes. Thelma’s always fun to talk to and I feel a bit more awake afterward haha. Pastries are fresh— highly recommend the apricot croissants.

SO GOOD. I had the veggie sandwhich. Huge sandwhich with side of chips. Will definitely be returning. The coffee is strong and great too and they have pastries.

Love this little hidden gem. I’d say best chocolate chip cookie in town. Love grabbing a quick breakfast from here. They do full bar coffee as well.
