Worst care a veteran can get with a Healthcare system that take no accountability for there 2001 diagnosis that lead to irreparable deadly bodily harm. They only care about making money for the University of California, pathetically using mental health as there swear under rug medical incompetence.
The entire staff at this facility are great . They are all professional and work as a great team . They made me feel safe and very positive to get me through my lung cancer . They acted fast and as a result I am cancer free . I cannot thank everyone at the VAMC enough for helping me .
Great doctors and nurses who care about my health and wellness with top med equip. Their support is excellent IMHO. Two surgeries gave me a new lease on life. My primary care physician & staff keep my medical needs as required. A great group of individuals meeting my medical needs.
I wasn’t impressed one bit. The drive down from Santa Rosa was nice and long. Loved the scenery though. Well, I got to the Hospital and was already overwhelmed with all the cars and congested roadways with parked cars and movement of people
I was a patient at Ft Miley for 20 years 1995-2015. The care received was the best, top quality. I acknowledge and thank God, for his love, grace, mercy, and divine Word of protection, for keeping me from death! Dr. Tierney was a Godsend to
The VA in general seems to catch a lot of flack for not being the best health care, but from my personal experience with my father having a brain tumor currently, and needing immediate treatment the VA in Sacramento(where we started) and in
Arrived during Covid19 and the staff were helpful interviewing and since I was being admitted, I needed and got a Covid19 test. Negative thank you. Admission was extremely helpful walking me to the various sites that I needed to go to. The
I have had nothing but a terrible experience at this VA since I started going. Dr. Gordon is an absolute joke of a medical professional, if anyone is assigned him for your PCP I would strongly suggest you ask to be placed with someone else
The San Francisco VA Medical Center is a first class medical facility. I served in the Vietnam Era US Army and I am thankful that I did. My medical care in the private sector was not good and very expensive. I enrolled in the VA system in
As a Navy Vet that needs to come here quite often for various things, I can truthfully say that the staff is so very courteous to and hard-working for us Vets. Also, it's a very nice facility. For you Vets (and friends / family members of
The VA is always a mixed experience. Half the staff was incredible the other half almost horrendous. The help at the info desk was phenomenal from several people. Cafeteria was fine. The exchange on the other hand didn't carry basic phone
San Francisco VA medical center has got to be one of the best hospitals around. I am 62 and I've been going there since I was in my early twenties. Because of them I have beat kidney cancer melanoma and now I'm alive 5 years the stage for
It's nearly impossible to get an appointment here and nearly impossible to get referred to community care even though they have no appointments available. I have wasted so many hours on hold with this VA or waiting to be called back (they
Just had my surgery there yesterday and I couldn't be happier with the support I received pre and post op thus far. The nurse that was by my side once I woke up ( Fernando) could not have been better. My surgeon Dr. Thuillier was able to
San Francisco VA, located in the heart of one of the most vibrant cities in the United States, is an excellent choice for veterans seeking quality healthcare in a beautiful setting. Situated in San Francisco, California, this VA facility
So many veterans die from improper care and this is the type of facility that contributes to that. It doesn’t matter what your ailment is, broken foot, jaundiced skin, or breathing issues with a harsh cough, they will say you’re fine and
Drove my son to & Daughter in law to VA San Francisco, Ca to have surgery on his Right Ankle 9/24/2021. We can’t wait with him. If we leave to get food we lose our parking space. Cafeteria is closed. He had to be there at 9:00 AM to get
I brought my elderly father here for an MRI. They did not tell us only one person could go in with my dad. So I waited outside but had to use the restroom. I was given a piece of paper and told to go across to the other building to use
If you are not a veteran yourself who personally tried to receive care do not comment!!! VA is federal government. Having its own agenda. Veterans do not have The Choice to get healthcare outside the VA try care is not accepted unless
The absolute worst employer and care provider ever. The union picks who they wish to help. If your not 'in' with management they will take advantage of the system to make you quit. Care has been withheld from Vets. Hospital as a whole
In general I am beyond grateful that the VA medical system exists. I have been a patient at 5 different centers. Each one has had compassionate, hardworking, and talented staff. By far the SF VA is a stand out place. I am treated like
My husband just had a pacemaker installed at this hospital. He arrived by ambulance from Mather and my stepson and I drove down for the surgery and to take him home after recovery. Without exception, everyone we encountered was kind,
I have been a patient at and have been to many clinics within the SFVAMC since 2007. The level of care has definitely improved over the years. Most recently, I had been diagnosed with Stage IIIA lung cancer in the middle of 2020. In
This is still the best VA clinic or hospital I have been to. I have been to VA facilities in at least 5 cities throughout the country. This is actually run like a hospital, and the people working there treat patients like that.
This is hands-down the Worst VA in California. This place does NOT provide optimum services for veterans at all. Dont expects great bedside manners, hospitality, dedication, or anything associated with high-quality service.
I was treated with respect & compassion. I was seen in a timely manner & my issue was robustly examined & my diagnosis is very good. I am very satisfied & thankful with/for the doctors & nurses, they treated me very well.
Been coming here for 20 years. I have been treated at several other VA facilities and the SF VA is by far my top choice. Yes the VA system as a whole has issues but the individual care here is the best.
Nearly killed me and fought me non-stop as I started my rehabilitation. A truly horrible experience that honestly hasn't improved. Though there are good people there.
It was refreshing to be so close to the ocean and having lunch , they have a huge walking path and a golf course friendly helpful people I enjoyed the time I had there
I have always been treated with the upmost dignity and respect. And the quality of medical care is beyond amazing, especially the dermatology dept. Thank you SFVAMC
Sep 2021: 1 star knocked off because the ortho clinic is complete chaos. July 2021: First class care in the ER from Dr. Farzan and staff. They were a
Wonderfully caring and friendly doctors and staff! Minus a couple of services, SF VA Medical is the best full-service hospital I've ever been to!
Veterans Administration Hospital... Been on the point at Land's End for a long time... Predates WW2. One of the best cardio units in VA in CA.
Five stars for the clinical help you get, (if you can get it). As with most va situations…. The care is as good as any situation. Doctors and
Everyone who works at the Hoptel is so nice. Maintenance, if you read this, please fix the hot water it's been cold for months!
Awesome people beautiful place...drs. nurses n staff n everyone that works at this facility...THANK YOU...GOD BLESS YOU.
I really, and I mean really hate having to shout my issues over a glass so the whole hospital knows my medical issues.
I should be kissing the earth everyday for having access to the best medical care and staff I could ever imagine.
Xena enjoyed being able to get a few laps in while I enjoyed the beautiful day! Remember our vets …
