Visited the spa for the first time on Saturday, I was impress with the friendly service. I am always very weary of anything on ”special“ because the quality of the goods or service usually decreases. My partner and I went there not expecting much. We booked the 60min full body massage that was on special.. R350 pp. We were honestly so pleasantly surprised... it was amazing. I immediately made a booking to go back today for the Nimue facial they offer that is also currently on special for R350. Super disappointed. The facial entailed cleaning twice, exfoliating with the Nimue enzyme and applying mosturizer. That is it. Also, the therapist informed me that only those products are used because it is a special. I could honestly have done that ”facial“ myself (i do have Nimue products) in the comfort of my own home and saved myself that trip, petrol and time. Or I could have gone to Life Day Spa for a proper facial. I do not mind paying full price but that facial was not worth my time or that money!!

I went for a massage at the Sanctuary Spa Onyx. Upon arrival I was greeted by such amazing and friendly staff. It was a chilly day so stepping inside the Spa itself, it was welcoming and warm and I was offered a welcoming warm towel to get me ready for my treatment. After all the usual admin had been sorted, I was escorted to my room for the massage treatment. The ambiance inside the room was so relaxing, music in the background, dim lighting so the moment my massage treatment had started, I almost immediately started to drift into a sleep, which for me is always a good sign that I am actually relaxing! I'd like to thank that amazing staff and massage therapist for the exceptional service and overall experience. I would highly recommend and would definitely return!

About a month ago i decided to treat my mother and cousin for a spa day. After 2 dissapointments of other spa's, i reached out to Sanctuary Spa Onyx (Cape Town). I sent an email to ask how booking worked and all details was in a respond email in less than an half an hour. I would like to recommend everyone to please check them out!! Service was top-noch. Since the day i booked (and change my app date 3 times) till the day of my app (today). We went for the 50min full body massage and what a great experience it was, indeed. Thank you to a beautifull lady named Noxy.....who helped me from start to finish. Defenitly my go-to-girl from now on with soooo much patience. Well done guys!! You are doing great. See you soon!

If you’re looking for perfect spa treatments, let me tell you this is the place to visit!! My experience at Sanctuary Spa Onyx was nothing short of AMAZING! The ambience was so calming - just what the doctor ordered. With a professional manager such a Nikita, friendly & well-trained staff at hand, quality products to leave your body and skin feeling at it’s absolute best and spectacular views alongside the perfect refreshment... What more could a girl ask for?! Thank you so much for treating me like a queen. I would definitely recommend you to my friends and family. The massage was good but the staff are incompetent and not very friendly. They are extremely over-priced and definitely not worth the experience. The space is very limited, so it's difficult to move around. They were running late with appointments, and we waited for more than an hour before we were attended to. There's a swimming pool in the middle of the foyer that's meant for hotel visitors, and it's not ideal for spa visitors because there's splashing and noise all over the place. The balcony area faces the CBD, which means the walls block the afternoon sun, so it's always cold and shaded. Whoever designed this set-up, didn't give it much thought. Would not recommend.

What an amazing experience. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The facility was neat and clean and the moment you stepped in, the aromas immediately caught you and put you in relaxation mode. My therapist was friendly and gave me advice to follow once im home as well with my in-between messages I get from my Husband. Very informative info.I could immediately feel my tense, painful and achy muscles start to relax with my full-body deep tissue massage. The warm towels felt heavenly. I was so impressed with Amy, the therapist, that I went there for three consecutive days while in Cape Town. I had the Pick and Mix, which allows different services, such as hot stone, sports massage, and facial. Amy provided perfect services every time. No hard upselling, although she tried. I also like the steam room. The swimming pool was too small. I wish they would have a hair dryer there. Strangely, they don't have one. Everyone there was professional and friendly. I would highly recommend it and definitely go back if I am in Cape Town again.

My experience today was out right amazing, I received a gift voucher from a friend for a couples treatment. I SURPRISED my gf with the voucher i had... We both had an amazing 90mins massage in sanctuary spa onyx couples room which really looks world class. I loved the tranquility and comforting feel I felt when walking in. The team was super friendly yet professional, made me feel like a king and my gf was treated like a queen.. which was amazing especially for me. An amazing Zen experience that left me relaxed, grounded, energised and physically rejuvenated. I had a Swedish massage done by Abigail When she got to my shoulders, she fealt the built up tension in my muscles, and that's when you know you are in knowledgeable good hands when your therapist makes the muscles relax. She took her time to attend to the pressure points until I breathed à sigh of relief. The spa smells amazing, looks amazing, it's clean and worth visiting . Feeling refreshed.i would definitelyrecommend it

We had a lovely experience at the Sanctuary Spa Onyx today. We booked the Absolute spa ritual (x 2). The hotel is superb, and the spa nestled inside is just as great. The staff was very welcoming - the receptionist was very kind, and our 2 massage therapists were so sweet. The experience was relaxing and they made us feel very comfortable and at ease. They went the extra mile. Afterwards we enjoyed a glass of bubbly at their pool. Would definitely return in the future.

I recently had such a beautiful experience at the spa! my husband treated me to a full body hot stone massage. I went in feeling stressed and due to this had stiff muscles. The staff was super friendly, made me feel so comfortable and all covid regulations were applied. The massage was awesome! it really eased my muscle stiffness, my shoulder pains were gone and I felt so relaxed, calm and refreshed. I will definitely be coming back soon.

We had a full body massage at the Onyx – treatments were amazing. The therapists were great!  The couples treatment room was amazing - its has its own shower in the room We really like the Onyx branch - its perfect in Summer The rooftop bar and the indoor outdoor pool is perfect to relax after the treatments. Terribly disappointed. Our treatment started an hour late. The staff were unprofessional and rude. Not enough oil was used during the massage. Scrub was rushed they didn't apply pressure. The facilities and locker/rest rooms are way to small to use as a couple. Although the pool area on the photos look tranquil the actual spa is cramped and very noisy.

I absolutely love going to this spa. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance is calming and the staff is friendly. The spa is neat and clean and the lighting is conducive to relaxation. Ive visited many spa's in my lifetime but have had very few make an impression as the Sanctuary Spa facility and staff. Well done Sanctuary Spa, you are amazing!!

What an amazing spa experience. I had 3 treatments with Priscilla then spent 3 hours lounging by the indoor/outdoor heated pool, a lovely lunch (try the salmon poke bowl) followed by a relaxing drink at the bar. Treated like royalty by all the staff and will definitely be back. A real hidden gem - shhhh don't tell anyone

Sanctuary Onyx What an amazing treat, from the moment we enter the staff was friendly and warm. We were given our own locker with gowns and slippers and felt very safe especially with Covid. Myself and my husband went for a couples message on Sunday. It was amazing. From the receptionist to the lovely ladies that did our messages. The room was just the perfect temperature. The messages was the perfect pressure. And it was so nice and quiet , no outside noises. We will definitely be back again.

I booked a massage for my mom's birthday via email - the staff was friendly and responded quickly. They had a lot of care for the entire process and treated my mother like royalty. I would definitely recommend this spa. Recommend you try the package to get a few services done within this spa. 10/10

Ladies were sweet. Venue was good for a midweek spa session in the city. Lovely views. Defn would recommend it if you work in the area to get some pampering done by them. They made me realize my body needed it. The showers are super hot. Pool isn't too cold but probably better on a hot day.

We had such an amazing experience. Staff are extremely friendly and professional. Had the most rejuvenating 90minute full body massage, I left there feeling relaxed and energized. The outside pool overlooks the CBD, views of the ocean as well as mountains were absolutely breathtaking.

Had an excellent experience. The staff was so friendly and the massage was in my top 3. The changing areas are small however ups to you all for making it work since it's out of your control however everything else was completely bliss. Myself and wife will return soon.

I had the best pedicure done by a very friendly young lady. She was the professional the whole way through, did an amazing job on my feet, put loads of effort in it and was extremely polite. The service at the Onyx is outstanding, cannot wait to book my next treatment!

I had a great experience, I had a massage with lousy she was really amazing. but unfortunately they forgot I asked for a hot stones and they don’t have a one use underwear, also the cups in the relaxing room weren’t clean but the overall experience was great!

I've been at Onyx twice and both times I've had a 90 minute massage. The 2nd time was even better than the 1st. I really enjoyed my massages. The girls are amazing at what they do. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you sanctuary spa onyx.

Had a terrible experience, whilst I was having a massage done the masseuse was busy on her mobile phone. One hand massaging me, on hand on her phone. When asked if I enjoyed it I said no, they did not even bother to ask me why.

Relaxing. Massages are similar to Thai massages. Lovely friendly ladies. Parking spots available in front of the hotel. The sauna wasn't working that day and they gave us a voucher to come back and make use of it.
