Dr. Sandercock is amazing! He's been helping me for years. However, today I went and got my ears washed out and the bin that they used appeared to be really dirty with ear wax all over it (ear wax that was not mine). I quickly became really nervous that the instruments they had used on my ears were not sterile. I called multiple times and was left on hold, or sent back and forth to different people only to be left on voicemail, so I'd have to hang up and call again. Eventually I finally managed to get through to someone, and they reassured me that they sterilize all of their instruments after each use, and that there was no way that they could've used dirty instruments on me. They also explained that the dirty earwax bin is just stained, as it's old and has been used a lot. So, I really suggest they get a new bin as it's kind of alarming to those who see it and could cause concern where there shouldn't be any. I'm glad she reassured me, although I am still kind of nervous about it and probably will never get my ears washed out ever again. I'm taking their word and hoping that the instruments really were sterile and just stained. Either way I do recommend this office! As mostly everyone there is nice and understanding, and I've never had an issue before now. (I've been going to this office for a few years now). 3/5 stars. Please get a new bin!
Got recommended to this doctor from a friend, unfortunately they aren't seeing new patients until September/October which is totally fine. What wasn't fine was the receptionist taking her bad mood out on potential patients. She answered the phone with a surly hello, which made me automatically know she was in a poor mood. Nothing like "Hello, this is a well respected doctors office how can I help you?" No I felt like she answered the phone to McDonald's. Anyway, I continued to ask to be diagnosed for a possible neurological disorder when she insisted on getting all my symptoms. Not sure who is comfortable talking to a receptionist about medical problems but it's not me. Then without any knowledge of my condition, Carla said I would be recommended to a physiatrist. But as I said in the beginning, I'm being referred by a patient of his who is being treated for this exact same condition. This is when she went on to say they weren't taking patients until September, again totally not the problem, I said I couldn't wait until then so thank you and why ask my symptoms if you're not accepting patients? She proceeded to say something about the schedule, then promptly hung up without saying a word. Anyway, I've heard about how wonderful this doctor is, hopefully the staff can get up to his level or at least be professional while in the workplace.
Good for the little issues you might come across, like a bout with a cold. Not so good if you suffer from a medical disease and get sick often—your pain, or whatever you’re going through at the time—will just be labeled as “anxiety,” and you will be told to go and get help elsewhere. I thought Dr Sandercock was an empathetic, caring doctor, but it took one visit after years of seeing him for me to learn otherwise. When people are scared and come to you in pain, please do your doctorly duties and do what you can to support them. Check every avenue possible. Don’t just shove them out the door telling them to seek a psychiatrist.
Prepare for the automated phone system from hell and the personal assistant that doesn't exist. Called multiple times on M/T/F and always goes to the assistant's voicemail. Stephanie doesn't exist, William doesn't exist, and dialing 0 for a live person resulted in 10 minutes of holding time for "unusually high call load" before I gave up. Doctor does not have an emergency number. Showed up in person, and the entire office of Docs & assistants apparently goes to lunch break at the exact same time from 12-1. None of the docs work weekends. Save yourself some time and hassle and find a different GP office.
Dr Sandercock has been our doctor for 5 years. He has treated everyone in my family. He is absolutely wonderful and so is all of the staff at his office. If I happen to be running late due to traffic, I call and let them know and they've always been very understanding. They have never canceled an appointment if we have run late. Dr Sandercock listens to you and works with you to find the best medicine to make you well. The office is on the first floor. It is easy to get to and there's always plenty of parking. Also if you need blood work done, there's an office right above his on the second floor.
My Husband has been going to Dr. Sandercock's office for many many years, so when I had to change physicians, I decided to give him a try. Best decision ever! The entire staff is excellent and since going two years ago, I now have all my adult children and my Mom going. They also just love everyone. The PA's are wonderful! I know Dr. Sandercock is often very busy so I just book with one of the PA's who are not only extremely knowledgeable and professional but also caring.
Dr. Sandercock has been my family primary doctor for 5 years now. I have experienced some hard times the past few years medically. I have always been given excellent medical treatment. The office is friendly, on time, follows up in s timely manner. I also never feel rushed when I see him or anyone on his team. When Dr Sandercock comes into my room he listens and then gives me advice and treatment as needed. I continue to rank his practice 5 Stars. Thank you. Darlene M.
I love Dr. Sandercock and I'm sad that he dropped me as a patient due to missed appointments and without even giving me an opportunity to explain and while my reasons do explain and validate the no call/no shows; I understand it does not excuse it! I pray for one more chance as his patient
Great Doctor and his assistant Stephanie is the best. They are both very personable. He has extraordinary bedside manners and spends time with you asking questions. He doesn't make you feel rushed at all. Another thing I like about Dr Sandercock is that doesn't jump into conclusions.
I moved to San Antonio last year and was worried about finding a doctor. Dr. Sandercock is wonderful and his bedside manners makes you feel like he is really there and listening. The clinic is always on time and professional. No more worries here.
Dr. Sandercock is kind, knowledgeable, and listens carefully to symptoms. Anytime I have needed treatment, he has done a great job diagnosing the problem and giving me options for treatment. I couldn't be happier with the care I receive.
Appointment coordinator first asked me about my insurance before she told me if dr David was taking new patients. She asked me what did i need to be seen for them she said the next available was until may.
Dr. Sandercock and Stephanie his assistant are awesome. Very friendly and personable. He takes his time and listens to your needs.
