"Crowded yet there is a possible way to have people buy and have their bills ready in good timing instead of these exaggerated queues that go even beyond the entrance to the outside corridor out on the street( exposing people to pickpockets and time is wasted in line)"
"Free advise: visit Savani's way before the new school term starts"
"Wide selection of books, but any last minute shopping means that you'll barely be able to move while squished against hundreds of other parents who probably should have also bought books earlier than a day before school opening"
"Savani's Book Centre Limited a book business that majors on school books and stationery"
As a child my parents took me here to buy textbooks and today as a parent I do the same for my kids. The more things change the more they stay the same. Savanis hasn't changed much over the years. If nothing else, its always good to find a place that's been as consistent as they have been over the years. The shopping experience will I suppose, due to it's very nature being one that is routine and done at least once annually for most people going there, remain a dull one. That doesn't say much about Savanis, just that shopping for text books is dull and mundane. I don't know what can honestly be done to make it better
Crowded yet there is a possible way to have people buy and have their bills ready in good timing instead of these exaggerated queues that go even beyond the entrance to the outside corridor out on the street( exposing people to pickpockets and time is wasted in line). The numbers posted on their social media platforms go unanswered hence beats me: why post numbers that you know no one will ever pick up? Being one of the bookshops that most of us grew up visiting, it is disappointing not to see positive change that could help both the business and the customers.
Free advise: visit Savani's way before the new school term starts. Otherwise be contented with sharing your personal space with the mass of parents buying stuff on the last weekend before schools open. The place is congested, stuffy with barely room to wiggle without being smelling everyone's breath around you. And you cannot blame Savani's. Still, Savani's can do with better air conditioning and at peak times, maybe crowd control, e.g., have a certain number of customers inside at a go.
Wide selection of books, but any last minute shopping means that you'll barely be able to move while squished against hundreds of other parents who probably should have also bought books earlier than a day before school opening. Service from attendants is also lacking since they're thinly stretched and short-tempered from being dogged by frustrated parents. For a better experience I'd recommend the Text Book Centre near Globe roundabout.
Savani's Book Centre Limited a book business that majors on school books and stationery. This is a good place for students, parents and teachers to check their school materials and do shopping for their stationery items. They offer bulk buying for schools and I think they also do delivery but at a fee. I did my shopping there for my small brother where the prices were affordable and the customer service was awesome.
Located at downtown Nairobi next to Odeon Cinema bus stage off Tom mboya Street, Savanis is one of Nairobi's popular budget bookshops that also stock a number of school related items. Here u will find anything from Set squares, T-squares, Test tubes, burnsen burners and the likes to even geometrical sets and graph books. Enjoy savings on bulk purchases.
Stockist of all books, i will describe it as a book supermarket.. If you miss it here, probably you will struggle to find it elsewhere. Their location is pretty squeezed up as its located down town, parking is a struggle too with matatus all over the place. Well, the customer service isnt one of the best, a lot needs to be done to match others.
Both CBC and 844 curriculum books available, variety of story books in stock. Stationery available, extremely congested especially when it's back to school season, There are staff ready to assist you in case you need any help. Friendly staff and you can pay either cash or mpesa .
Just send someone yesterday to buy me a book ( How to pass History and Government by Njane J.C,form1 and 2)payed via mpesa only for the book to reach me and I discover its a photocopy of the original ,it has been stapled and its not original am so dissapointed
One of the oldest bookstores in the city, provides all categories of books for primary and secondary schools, plus other general information materials--At such affordable prices. I used to buy all my kids books here many years ago. Highly recommended …
Book store where one can find nearly all textbooks required for Kenyan Primary and Secondary education. I'd advise you to do your school shopping early since it tends to be crowded during rush hour for back to school.
This is the best place to find all things education and the services are great plus the people there...... I love it they are God sent... If you need anything for your child or office just visit savani's bookshop
Great customer service!!! There is basically every stationary item in here which come at affordable prices. It may get crowded at times mostly at the payment area but its definitely a great place to shop.
I kindly request all parents to buy school tools from savani's. They serve quick , there response towards client is much ok compared to other bookshops. They are organized people. Thanks. CHIMOLI
Great bookshop to get kasneb textbooks and other stationeries.great services and friendly prices.if you want to get some stationaries and you are in town this is the place you ought to visit
Its not a matter of business but savanis is really directing parents from buying unnecessary books especially since some schools want students to purchase teacher's guide for them.. Bravo.
Bought some stationery and was given a ETR reciept but the organisation that needed the items required a detailed reciept, went back for it and it was done in record time.
Fully furnished bookshop. Junction of Latema Road towards River road. Surrounding congested by hackers & minibuses. Very busy bookshop due to Surrounding bus stop.
One of the largest, affordable n reliable bookshops in Nairobi. Fair prices, dirverse learning materials. Long queues when paying coz of single payment point.
Even though the they have the best prices and best customer handling in town they should work on there books arrangement. Takes a lot of time to find them.
It's good enough place to get your supplies but technical students should go somewhere else as this is the wrong place to look for model making materials
A good bookshop, has got all stationary and books that other bookshops lack. It's really big and well arranged according to the needs of the customers.
I didn't find everything I was looking for but that's understandable cause the demand is so high right now. The customer service there is really good.
The bookshop is very well stocked.I was very pleasantly pleased with responsive customer service. The management of the facility deserve an applause.
Books for all calibres available and are of good value for your money. But the same things you can obtain at other places at more affordable price
Savanis is a one-stop shop for textbooks and stationery for the Kenyan curriculum. Its prices are a little bit high but the services are amazing.
A quiet place during weekdays....but weekend,,,,,for lovers of quieteness, it's a no! Full to capacity plus blairing sound from speakers all over
If you are looking for academic books, children books and knec past papers, you can get them at Savani's. Theya are also very much affordable
Wanted a Grade 1 Book but couldn't get in because the Guard wanted me to leave my Laptop with him. Bought the book somewhere else eventually.
Customer service is really quick n understand exactly what you want, prices are good too, parking is the only issue but services were fast....
The shop attendants are friendly and we knowledgeable of their products and books are duly and topically arranged for ease of accessibility
Ideal for Primary school supplies. Little to zero resources for aspiring adult artists of any kind. But the customer service was excellent
They have expedited service organised counters, and sufficient staff to cater to many customers at once. Including multiple tills to pay.
They should have a better card handling system. I didn't understand why the main cashier isn't still the executor of the cards machine??
This is one of the biggest book stores on Nairobi,it doesn't disappoint when it comes to books ,it has the best deals on their products
You never get stranded looking for books. Well organized staff. It can get crowded at times especially when school opening nears.
They had books that were out of stock in other stores. Very good customer service and fast as well. Observed social distancing.
The good thing with this place, you can negotiate the price if paying either by cash or mpesa.if you do with card,no discount
Good and organised service, with many assistants who help to locate the books even during pick time when schools are opening.
The fact that they still sell hard copy books and thrive at it means they are doing something right . Great customer service.
Experience book shopping like a supermarket..all kind of books available. Plus customer care services are great and fast.
Its well stocked, good customer service. There are varieties of stationery to choose from, unable to leave empty handed.
Great place with variety. The challenge is the huge congestion that makes it impossible to adhere to covid-19 guidelines
The book is well equipped will almost all student's requirements only that there should be more people to offer service
They have most if not all of the sort after writing in terms of books, journals, magazines and novels. A must recommend
They had stock of all I needed. Location is downtown Nairobi and not easy to get to by car as it is traffic congested.
If you are big and tall you will suffer. The place is a bit squeezed but at least it has most of the required books
It is a quiet place to sleep and non smoking zone I am going there to sleep this December holiday yet I am so happy
They dont have variety of books. The staff dont take clients serious, in fact some are rude. I begged to be served.
Good place to purchase learning materials for every level at an affordable and pocket friendly price... splendid
Great products. Love the quality of products and services. Stationery and office stuff are available in variety
Neat. Well stocked. Can't miss any school book here. Professional staff. Owners are friendly. Prices are right.

Its strategically located n..i like the way the workers are sociable....all stationeries at fair prices

Good customer service and multiple payment points making it easy to pay ans not stand in long queues
All types of educational books are found here, But they need to consider some of books prices..
Wonderful and welcoming customer service. The bookshop is well stocked with almost all books.
They stock 99.9% of Kenyan curriculum textbooks and stationery all at competitive prices.
Quick, sharp and helpful. Shop is spacious and looks great plus good services offered.
Nice book selling store with all stationary and school books.. Very busy always.
Great though the back to school Rush made it difficult to shop with long queue.
Nairobi is very beautiful city Nice weather I love it, you must come and see..

The go-to book store for school books and stationery. Great customer service.
Get any books for the kids and adults too at a relatively fair price Liked it
They were quick and prompt in their services and I got everything I wanted.
Love the store but they close too early on weekends. Plan your trip early.
Mets the requirements when it comes to school books but quite expensive.
The store is well stocked but should add more current management books.
Very helpful staff as compared to text book centres. Highly recommend
