It's worth going just for the Zombie Outbreak! That may be the most important statement of this review. The Zombie Outbreak at Scream Park is where it's at! It's so much fun. If anyone reading this is on the fence deciding whether to go or not you should go just to try this. Picture a sizable haunted house where you go through like normal only you're with a group of 5 people all strapped with a laser tag like gun (but way cooler) in which you're turning corners and opening doors and walking through wooded trails anticipating where the next zombie going to pop out at you so you can get the kill. It's scary, it's fun, it's engaging, it's brilliant. I hope it's there every year, it will definitely keep me coming back. Now for the most disappointing aspect of Scream Park, The Devil's Swamp Tour. There is HUGE amounts of scare potential here, UTILIZE IT!!! You're walking through the woods at night on a trail with a small group of people with only a single little lantern to (hardly) illuminate your path. And they completely drop the ball. To be fair some people were terrified. But I can only imagine that those people scare easily. I just want more actors jumping out at you on those long spaces between sets. It was way to predictable and "safe." In the sense that it's like, "okay we're walking to the next set so people can try to scare us, oh look at the mechanical alligator thing, okay we're at the next set where are the actors?" No, they should try to take people out of that safe zone to where on those long dark paths to the next set where there's nothing to see but woods and darkness actors should be keeping you on your toes. Sound effects and props aren't enough. The Devil's Swamp should have be the most frightening attraction, instead it was the most disappointing. Again, to be fair I only went through it once, maybe I just picked a bad time to go. In any case I still loved Scream Park, ill be looking forward to it every year and im expecting it to get better and better. I believe this is only there first year doing it and they did a great job! One last thing, the clown themed haunted fun house, that was very well put together, no complaints, it was the most orthodox style haunted attraction they had there. But I believe it is the unorthodox nature of the place that sets it so far apart from the rest. And I suppose I need to comment on the "scare zones." They need a purpose. The carnival grounds were great! Keep up the good work! But why even go to the horseman scare zone or the pirate scare zone? Its just a dead end, literally.
Prior to arriving my wife had emailed asking about the free upgrade as we were also planning on visiting The Mortuary first on our trip. We explained exactly which tickets we were buying and were told that everything was correct and if we completed our purchase then we'd be given a card at The Mortuary and when we arrived at Scout Island Scream Park we'd be given the upgrade. However, when we arrived at the ticket office we were told that we had bought the wrong tickets and we needed to have purchased the event + rides to be able to upgrade. We had printed off the email conversation so showed the staff and they basically did not care and said that there was nothing they could do as there was a button they needed to press and they couldn't do that with our ticket. There apparently was also no reason to get a manager as they couldn't override the system either, but we could purchase the upgrade instead for $30. Thankfully one of the other staff then took a little control and explained that the park wasn't actually busy so there was no point wasting our money upgrading, so we didn't. Unfortunately the attitude we we given by the staff gave us a very negative start to the event. Once in the park we went to the first house which we then had a 30 minute wait for, which didn't go down too well after being told there'd be a minimal waiting period. Thankfully the next 2 houses did have short waits though, As for the houses themselves, they were actually decent, nothing amazing (in the past I have done haunts through different states in the US, in the UK and in Japan) but solid. The scare zones were better and had some good actors inside them. Unfortunately though the scariest section of the park were the toilets! There are a row of portable toilets, of which there were plenty, however there was no lighting inside them. I observed people with doors slightly open with other people outside holding phone flashlights through the door crack, some people were moving in and out trying to find clean enough ones to use and then walking away refusing to go. The other option seemed to be to use your own phone flashlight inside, propping it up on the shelf inside to provide some lighting. I honestly feel sorry for the staff inside the park with my review, as they did a good job and are the only reason why I'm not scoring the event a 1. However the atrocious attitude of the ticketing staff and the abysmal state of the toilets means I would not re-attend on my next visit to New Orleans.
I liked the idea of an outdoor "haunted house", however, a lot of improvements are needed. First of all: the place is so dark that you can't see anything. Both in the general area and in the attractions. Makes it look very unattractive too. And we visited on a night with almost full moon! Then there was a serious lack of good lighting effects on the structures and characters. Not only was there too little light, nobody with any serious lighting design skills had been involved which is a terrible miss for something like this. On the attractions: it is almost impossible to do all 3 attractions within one night. We arrived at 8.30 and luckily it was not too busy so we did all 3 but then had no time left for any of the rides or anything else. Wait time for the Zombie Experience was 45min to an hour, Devil's Swamp a good 30 mins, Haunted House something like 20 mins. Also good to know is that the Zombie attraction is basically just a laser game. When you are not into these kind of games you can save yourself the money (and the long wait). For the Devil's Swamp you go in with a guide that carries an oil lamp. Maybe the people at the front of the group could see something. We had no glimpse of light so missed half the fun. There is nothing to entertain you while you are waiting, like what they used to do at the House of Shock. Zombie & Devil could have used more & better actors. There was one crawling on the ground that was truly scary. That one moved so fast. Other than that it was kinda lame. Get the ones that did the House of Shock! More special effects would be have nice too. Or at least more use of sound effects. To summarize: nice idea, but for what you get right now it is very overpriced.
It's my second year as a scare actor for this outdoor haunted amusement park, and it's been a rewarding and wholly unique experience. There is absolutely nothing like performing outdoors at Scout Island Scream Park. It's also so entertaining to see which fully grown adults are more afraid in the fright zones than some of the small children who walk through on the same night! Scream Park has a special energy to it that I haven't experienced with any other kind of live performance. There's The Kraken Bar with a live DJ for libations, food vendors, live performance acts on the main-stage, rides, and even a Scare-Free zone for kiddos or adults looking for some respite. I enjoy the fact that there's a little something for everyone, even if you're a little too nervous to adventure into the fright zones :) There are scare-free, family-friendly activities during the day to enjoy as well, like the Hayride! Everyone should have the opportunity to experience it. I hope it continues to evolve and just get bigger and better for many haunt seasons to come. In the photo I've attached, I'm the very happy Bone Witch on the left with my krewe from Horseman Fright Zone on the final night of fright our first season last year. Come out and see The Blood Countess and her Coven of witches and so much more this year!
We had a horrible experience with the woman inside the park selling the tickets for the rides. I wanted $8 of tickets for the ferris wheel for myself and my daughter. All I had was a $100 bill. She shorted me over $30 which I called to her attention. She was unwilling to re-count, but she did, and she did it so quickly that I could not keep up visually with what she counted out. I walked ten feet away from the ticket booth and realized that I was still short $20. When I walked back to the booth she got very unpleasant and aggressive and said, "I am not dealing with you again!" She then literally took the cash box, walked out of the ticket booth, locked it and went to talk to someone at the concession tent. When she returned I asked her, "Do I still talk to you or do I go to someone else?" She ignored me, and I was on my way to find a higher-up when a park manager who had witnessed our confrontation approached. He was very nice and actually returned my $20. That woman was either incompetent or a thief. Just count your money before you leave that ticket booth.
I am very disappointed in the kidzone area. We decided to try this one instead of some of our usual Halloween events. I realize the game was on yesterday but almost nothing that was advertised was actually going on. There are only about 4 rides for kids who are under 5, there was no face painting, no crafts, no performances, etc. I was hoping for something fun for us to do a a family on the one day my husband is off this month. Also it would be nice to know that there is a $5/per person fee (cash only) to go touch/hold the baby alligators. This is touted as all rides/attractions are included in the $20 band for the kids. You can purchase an upgrade of $5 per chaperone to do the hay ride (that has no hay) for a total of $10 per chaperone. I spent as much if not more $ yesterday at this "attraction" than I did at a local fair last weekend that my daughter had a better time at. It is very disheartening to see all of the activities (and showing my 4.5 year old to get her excited) advertised for kids to do and have almost none of it there.
Don’t waste your money no good rides . Only 4/5 rides . All are kid rides edit: SINCE y’all read and write back to reviews let me put my FULL review I had a problem with two of the workers and not one manager was found. We got on the bumper cars . The guy controlling was NOT helpful at all didn’t even show us how to put on the “ seatbelt” they were not regular seatbelts so I had no clue. I asked how but he didn’t answer and was pretty much not focusing on us at ALL. It was just me myself and husband on the ride. Me and my son was trapped in the corner and I watched the worker be so into his phone and never looked up... another worker came on side of the ride yelling at us saying we have no seatbelt on and that we are not following the rules.... EVEN THOUGH HIS CO-worker is the one that didn’t help us with the seatbelt to begin with. I can go on and on but I’m done wasting my time just like I wasted my money on this raggedy wanna be fest!!!! And my 5 year old didn’t even enjoy the rides. They were rusty and non working buttons
We took our 5 year old son and his 6 year old friend to the Kids Zone on Saturday. We had pre-purchased tickets but there was no one at the entrance checking tickets, we just walked in. The staff was friendly and answered our questions when we needed direction. The Kids Zone was pretty sparse though. The rides were very old and in poor condition. 50% of them were only able to go around, not up or down because the staff had said they kept getting stuck. There was only one concession stand open that had funnel cakes or popcorn. We rode all of the rides available and did the "hayride" and maze in less than an hour. We left to take the kids to eat at a local restaurant and then to The Oaks to ride carnival rides in the afternoon. You could tell the Scream Park was really set up for adults and I am sure once it was dark, and the actors were out, it would have been a totally different experience but I wouldn't spend the $15 per head to take my family to the Kids Zone again. Went went last night with a group of 12. As a Haunted House lover, I would honestly say that it wasn't scary and at points slightly disappointing in the fear factor. The majority of the group was very excited about the Devils Swamp tour, and we were very let down. I felt there were MANY opportunities to be scared and it just wasn't there. They need to spend more on hiring actors, since that is the majority of the fear in any haunted house. We also did the Fun House and the Zombie tour. Those were actually much better than the Devil's Swamp. I will say, I loved the atmosphere! The Circus feeling was very unique and unlike anything we have. I enjoyed sitting at the tabled and just listening to the sounds and actions. I rate it a 4 star, because I would pay and do this again next year, even though it wasn't as scary as I would have liked it to be. It was overall a great night and had a lot to do. I hope and anticipate them expanding and adding to it.
Excellent fun!!! We had a blast and it was more than we expected with something for everyone. The price is the price. It might be a bit much for some, but it does seem reasonable to me. $15 for general admission and then separate tickets for each of the attractions. Or $49 for everything, $79 for VIP (which is worth it). Each area was a different kind of fun. The fun house was nifty and even a bit challenging. The Devil’s Swamp had some great sets and good scares. However, it was also my only area of complaint. It was kinda long and dark and, yes the ground was uneven...walking it seemed a little, well, trippy. I can appreciate that it is scarier in the dark, but couldn’t y’all give a lantern to every 4 people instead of every 8? My favorite was the Zombie Battlefield. It was not as pleasurable as Zombie paintball, but was still loads of fun. They did not skimp on the sets or the gear. The maze kept going and the zombies kept coming.
If I could give it minus stars, I would. First off, by the time we paid to get in and then paid for the unlimited pass we had invested over $60 per person. The lines were horribly long. We waited 1.5 hours to go through the Devil's Swamp which was boring and we CONSIDERED to be a waste of time and money. Then we went to stand on line for the zombie laser tag and it was a 2.5 hour wait for that. We waited an hour and a half and we got tired after an hour and decided that we had better spend what little time we had on rides that would take less wait time. We ended up riding on some flying swings on which safety was in question. I would say the park could maybe be fun some people if you didn't have to stand in line for 1.5 to 2 hours per attraction. Most people are only there for 3-4 hours so basically they can only ride two things. I think the price and the frustration level is too high for that.
If you buy the 50$ VIP you can ride all the rides enter all the trails and main attractions, then its worth it cheaping it out and only getting the 15$ ticket your wasting your time and money. But the attractions like Devils swamp and Zombie run are fun with a creative twist and appeal. I never experienced anything like it before, the monsters human and animatronic alike give you a scare well balanced throughout. My personal favorite attraction is the Haunted Fun House. When you enter theirs actors in frightening make-up that taunt you and follow you around. Theirs rides the kind that flip you upside down and the customer service was very on point. Their supervisor really helped us out when we faced a dilemma, she actually cared, real surprising. The only takeaway I had was the long lines you might wanna get an express ticket .... 4.5
This place is awful. One ride started smoking as soon as my child got off of it. And then my friend’s two children got stuck on a ride for 45 minutes because the ride broke down! We were told the rides were messing up due to moisture in the air. If that was the case then maybe you shouldn’t let people on the rides for safety reasons instead of just winging it. Or maybe get rides that are newer rides instead of rides that look like they have seen better days in the eighties! I can not believe they would put children’s lives in danger with these old broken down rides! And the excuses were ridiculous. Two of the haunted trails weren’t even scary. The guy with the chainsaw couldn’t even use the chainsaw cause he was out of gas. This place is not worth the money. We traveled two hours for nothing!
We are so excited about this new massive Halloween attraction! My husband and I went tonight and there is so much to see and do! We plan on coming back tomorrow. It was opening night, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Tips: Buy EXPRESS tickets online to skip the longer lines. Wear comfortable shoes. There may some mud if it has rained. Oh, and make sure your Über driver knows how to get there. The address is actually 40 Magnolia Drive New Orleans, LA 70124. It’s just off Harrison Avenue (across from NOPD horse stables) at City Park. Look for the lit up main entrance by the pedestrian bridge that crosses over onto the island. Lastly, allow yourself at least a few hours to do everything before the park closes.
I sent my teenage daughter and her friends to the park with $50 "do everything" passes, and it was a total waste of money. They rode 2 amusement park rides and then waited in line to do the Zombie Outbreak for 2 1/2 hours! Yes, 2 1/2hours. By the time they finished everything else was closing and they got to do nothing else. There was nothing in the line to indicate that it would take that long to go through or they would have never stayed in it. This is utterly ridiculous. Unless you spend even more money to get VIP passes that go to the front of the line, there is no point in getting a POP pass because the lines are so long. My husband emailed the next day, but he got no response. Great idea, but poorly executed.
I went last weekend took my girlfriend there on our very first date. Since i heard about the scream park i think what could be a better first date then something were both into. I got us both the big tickets and it was so well worth it. We did everything all the rides we wanted . the haunts were phenomenal which a good bit of the actors got us both. Each attraction was def better then i thought. My 2 fav scares was this nun in devils swamp omg i almost fell from it and laughed it off after. And this female clown in stitches in this tilt room even though i just saw her 2 seconds before lol but all around every one did a phenomenal job and something for the whole family . thank you for the experience
Took my 2 toddlers to kidzone and they had fun but I was not impressed. Not very organized. Lady painting face does not have the patience to work with small children and honestly I could have done a better job on the designs. My daughter is 3 and lady told her it’s not that difficult/complicated to sit still while she paints. At the pumpkin patch we were told that we could pick out pumpkins. The kids picked small ones that they could carry and I picked a medium sized one. When exiting the guard told me I could not take a big pumpkin and when I went to place it down near the table by entrance he insisted I walk around gates and put it back on table. Hayride was lacking.
Spent $50, got to see ONE attraction. Nothing was scary. Except the wait in the lines. Got there at 7:30 and by 10:30 couldn’t bear to wait another hour (after having already put in an hour of wait time) to laser tag some zombies. Wanted to go on the Ferris wheel....it wasn’t working. Neither were half the kids rides. Only one stand for fair food so if you want funnel cake, expect another 30-45 min wait. They needed to have spent less money on fancy signs and more money on actors for the haunted swamp tour and place more people in line to get groups through faster so the lines weren’t as long. It was not set up to accommodate thousands of people at one time.
I really expected more. Me and my siblings went to Scout Island tonight after having gone last year for Halloween. We had great expectations and thought tonight would be just as good. Boy we were wrong. Attractions were less than satisfactory. Wait times were nearly doubled than that of last year and we spent a good hour waiting for one of the Haunted attractions and it was so painstaking. People played games on their phone to try and make time go faster. They were short of staff and made it difficult to want to find a reason to head back next year. Very disappointing and wish I never would have wasted my money attending this knock off 'screamnpark'.
Great Halloween experience. Great place for a date or with friends. Highlights: The church / graveyard setting in Devil's Swamp was excellent set design where two creepy old-timey spirits really gave our group the chills and zombie laser tag was a riot. The park is in its first year, so I'd be lying if I said it was perfect. Could use some more actors recruited to fill voids and zombie laser tag should go in smaller groups a bit more spread out. Overall, the Scout Island location is so creepy and vast and so close to the city, that it has more potential than all the others in the area or Baton Rouge. Excited to see it grow.
If your on the fence about going please don’t, organization is non existent it does everything to try and compete at theme park status with haunted theme park attractions without the quality or organization those parks possess, even if you pay $50 for the “unlimited” ticket your odds are in favor of getting two attractions done and unlike other haunted theme events this one starts closing down before the time posted. Please utilize your hard earned money elsewhere. Please don’t bother with your copy and paste reply to my review it’s half way through the month with zero changes to the quality of the event, you don’t care.
I am rating the kids zone. It was very underwhelming for 15 dollars per person. The pumpkin patch was a small table with mini pumpkins sitting on it. The hay ride went through the woods which did have some pretty freaky props set up. The kids zone idea was seems like it may have been an afterthought and didn't receive enough attention during the planning and execution phases of the event. There was also no way to buy food or drinks except for the carnival booth with expensive lemonade or funnel cakes. It was okay but not even close to worth 15 dollars for each kid over 3 and adult. .
Wow, what a disappointment. After giving this a 5-star review last year, I could not wait to come back even with the increased prices. I could not have made a worse choice. We waited over two hours for a single queue because they were spacing groups 6 minutes apart. We waited three times for another ride that should have just been one wait because the operators weren't filling seats. I definitely will never come back to this again and hate that I wasted a Saturday night on it this year after loving it so much last year. Staff could not care less about what's going on.
My friends and I went last night and had a really great time. We paid $40 for the ticket that includes unlimited access to the attractions and I thought that was a fair price. The Devil's Swamp and Zombie Outbreak were the two main attractions we were able to do and we really enjoyed it! My only complaint is that they closed everything down 15 minutes before it was supposed to end - they shouldn't say they close at 10 if all the attractions close before that. Other than that it was a lot of fun and really cool to have an event like this in New Orleans.
I went with one of my friends on a weekday night the week before Halloween, and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff was good and spooky. The rides were fun. The haunted trails were thrilling! I think we went on the haunted fun house ride about 5 times. We are both in our mid 20s, but I felt like we were kids again having fun at a spooky fair of sorts. We are already planning to go again next year. Probably more than once. Very well worth the unlimited rides pass. We definitely got our money’s worth. Thankful for everyone who put this together.
My husband bought tickets for my birthday since we would be in New Orleans for a few days. The park was closed 2 nights in a row and when asking for a refund as we didn't receive the service we paid for the representative said "we can't give refunds to everyone who says their grandmother is dying" ... I wouldn't recommend visitors to New Orleans buying tickets and find their customer service appalling - surely if someone can't actually use their tickets they would be happy to refund them?
Found out about this place when we over heard two ladies talking about it over breakfast. We are from San Antonio, Texas and this was such a treat to discover! So incredibly terrifying, the attention to detail in their numerous haunted houses was incredible. Such a friendly staff as well. We were lost at first on what it was all about and they took time to explain each attraction to us. Thanks for ending our trip on a very fun note! Definitely would check out again.
I’ve been a scare actor since 2007. This was my first experience at a Halloween themed park and I must say I had a great time. There’s something to do for the entire family. The staff and actors give it their all. My wife doesn’t even like any type of haunts, but she told me today that she really wants to go. She won’t be disappointed and neither will anyone else. I would definitely be going back and would recommend this experience for everyone.
I wish they would bring it back. The Devil's Swamp experience was so scary but so good! It's better than a haunted house if you ask me because it was lengthier and the amount of actors that were spaced out all over. With it being an outdoor setting, it made it more terrifying because they were hidden any and everywhere.

What a fun experience. I love the fact that rides were included in general admission. The Bloody Homecoming Show was well done and enjoyable. It had a lot of amusing moments. My favorite experience was Pharoah’s Fury. I felt like I was walking in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Zombie Outbreak was a lot of fun as well. It was definitely worth going into. You get quite a lengthy experience! All in all I was quite pleased with the entire evening.
The actors, special fx makeup, haunts, food, entertainment, kid zone, rides, drinks, atmosphere... It’s all great. This year’s attractions are a lot of fun. The experience is a blast with friends and family and fun for all ages. Sometimes they have live bands on stage and even marching bands and a parade. It’s definitely a park that you’ll want to come to more than once. I’ve been going all October, and it gets better each time.
Scout Island Scream Park is extremely successful in creating the carnival haunt environment I love in Stranger Things. I love the mainstream metal playing in between the Bloody Homecoming performances and the kid friendly yet frightful fun entertainment for adults. The new haunts this year like Pharoah’s Fury, and Stitch’s Body Emporium only get better and are definitely worth coming back if you attended last year.
Beyond belief the show that has been put together for the fine citizens of New Orleans by Eerie Productions with Christian Stokes as our show director, Angela Ware as our casting director and too many others to possibly list including myself. The patrons will remember their experience for years to come. Truly yours Barry Fisher (plate archeologist) Pharaoh's Fury. Thank you for the memories.
My daughter went last year and it was a total waste of money. $50 to ride everything, she was in line for the zombie thing for almost 3 hours and afterwards everything else was closing. I emailed management last year but got no response. No way sm I paying again this year.I find it amusing that they will respond to all the five star reviews but have no comments for the negative reviews.
Got there on Halloween (2019) at 5:00pm when the park was set to open. Upon approaching the gate we were informed that the opening was pushed back an hour. The reason was the rain earlier that morning. So in 7 hours they were unable to get the park ready FOR HALLOWEEN. We left and decided to go trick or treating with the little ghouls instead. Maybe next year...maybe not.
Horrible manager! Husband purchased tickets online, then you get there, you have to pay for haunted attractions. They made us wait in a line, wait on the unprofessional manager, who can not keep her story straight. Then she insults our intelligence. My family will not go back to this place. You got one star because I could not give 0. Needless to say, we left.
This place is Amazing! If you are looking for a treat the whole family will enjoy, this is what you are looking for. There is something here for all ages. There are several small kid friendly areas as well as something to entertain the adults. I really enjoyed the musical show. There are rides and attractions that will give you and your family hours of fun.
Never write reviews, but felt compelled to write this one. Scream Park is an absolute waste of time and money. Our family of 4 drove 3 hours to attend and stayed there a little over an hour before leaving. We found it VERY BORING and a disappointing. There were so many missed chances for scares. This event is in major need of a new director.
I love this place. Their attention to detail is phenomenal. They do their very best to appear to everyone. They have a kid friendly Boogie zone and if you come in early on Saturday and Sunday I saw a few Disney princesses. They also have a full on production show with high school bands playing. I love Devil Swamp they walk kept me on my toes
Such a very unique and collectible experience, many things to do! They zombie laser tag is my favorite. I loved the dark ride also , been years since I have seen one . I have never seen some of the things that they do at any other haunted house or festival ever ! Keep it up guys ! Will Definitely be back next year if not this year again .
The Bloody Homecoming show was fantastic. The costumes and performers were great. Brought you into the 50’s for sure. The make up is phenomenal this year. The true gore and three dimensional artistry is impressive. This is a great night out. We enjoyed it last year and this year was even better. Highly recommend a visit to Scout Island.
What a blast! We bought the all access passes for $49 and were able to go through a couple of attractions twice. The eerie music and circus themes enhance the experience and keep you a bit unnerved. All of the employees worked hard to scare you and keep you entertained. We were definitely scared at times and certainly had fun.
Wasn't "scary" at all. More like a fair with a couple props along the way. The devil's swamp was so dragged out, for as little scenes there was. More actors would have helped this (like jumping out). The best part was the scream factory. Zombie outbreak had cool sets up as well. Hopefully it evolves over the years.
This place is awesome! I got tickets for my family and myself. There was definitely something for everyone. Between frights, there were tons of rides and carnival games to win prizes. There was food and bars everywhere. I even saw a few people I knew. It's a great place for a family outing or an evening date!
Over all not that bad just needs that pop! Don’t care for the amusement rides did not come for that, I want to be scared or entertained. Needs to be addressed or looked at again. If you use a coke can it’s 5.00 bucks off so that’s ok. Another thing I noticed was the grass could been shorter to help walk.
It was a complete waste of money. We paid $15 for general admission and $20 extra for the Devil’s Swamp. There were very few actors who lacked energy. The only thing that startled me besides the price tag was the twig I tripped over. It’s unfortunate because there is SO much opportunity to get spooked!
The staff was so unprepared and disorganized. They couldn’t even bother looking up from their phones when talking to you. Food choices not that great. Only giving it 2 stars because scare zones wasn’t that bad. It was pretty decent. But the staff definitely ruined the experience. Go at your own risk.
I loved devil swamp . I took my husband and 7 year old through there . But the best part was entering the cemetery and getting scared by this person behind a door . I have no idea the character but the spot was genius! Kind of old school but it caught me by surprise . Very good
It was awful. We paid $70 for 2 people to walk through the Devils Swamp. There were only about 7 actors in the entire haunted house. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. The mall would have been scarier and you could have purchased a new outfit with the $70.
Amazing family/teen/adult event. Perfect for kids that are getting into the scarier things. I did have an issue with being pushed and yelled at, but that was due to visitors not the park. Not hearing back from the park about the incident is why I deducted a star.
This park was very underwhelming. It is not worth the $49 I paid for it. There was not nearly enough actors to properly utilize the space. Anytime the 6yr old leading the group in the “scariest attraction” started begging to be scared, you know it’s a problem.
Best halloween I've ever had. I don't even usually enjoy "haunted houses" but these were such an immersive, creative experience, I had an absolute BLAST running around. The details were impeccable, the costumes flawless, the actors totally into it. THANK YOU!
Great place to bring the kids. A little something for everyone. The staff is really friendly as well. Had an issue with some tickets I had won and purchased, but a manager was extremely helpful and got it all sorted out quickly and professionally
15 bucks to walk in. Nothing is actually available for that price. 20 bucks for the swamp tour. Laughable. Literally just figurines in the ground and bad animatronics for 80% of the tour. The other 20% was cheap decor from party city. Terrible.
The kids and even the adults had the best time!! We went during a school night so we got no ridiculous long lines - at max 10 minute wait!! Absolutely worth the money to create lasting memories with your family! We can't wait to go next year!!
Paid $50 to get in to be able to do everything. The “haunted” house was terrible....long slow line and not at all scary, over way too quickly and hardly any actors. Waited over 1.5 hours for zombie laser tag which was fun but certainly not
I went with a couple friends towards the beginning of the the season and it was a blast! Shooting our way through zombies and running from the mummies in pharaoh's fury really got our blood pumping. Can't wait to see what they do next year!
Man, Halloween is alive and well in New Orleans! Scout Island Scream Park is one of the biggest, coolest Halloween experiences through the entire US, and we’ve got it all to ourselves here in NOLA! This is the 2nd year and it bigger and
Great time during opening weekend. Scream factory (clown themed) was scarier and more fun than the old house of shock. The devil’s swamp is completely original and unexpected. Plus kids had fun before sunset in the family friendly park.
Wonderfully detailed sets! Bring your comfy walking shoes so you can see everything there is to offer, this park is huge! Get the big ticket! See it all! You won't be disappointed! Dr. Stitch was the best haunted house on the property!
I have worked here for two years now. As someone who loves Halloween, this is heaven. They are good about improving year to year and really getting feedback from everyone. Very easy to work with as a employee and understanding to all
There are options for all ages, really cool atmosphere, and incredible sets costumes and concepts. Even before taking into account all the actors, the huanted attractions are already pretty scary! I can't wait to bring my friends!!
Love the amazing designs throughout the park also the make-up done on actors. It atmosphere definitely gives off creepy and scary vibes throughout the scare sites. Had a wonderful time and some great scares.
Had an awesome time; zombie laser tag was a blast and the haunted swamp was definitely the highlight. The ghosts did an awesome job, super creepy and amazing makeup.Boyfriend was scared out of his mind :-D
$50 per person to wait OVER AN HOUR for just one attraction. There is literally ONE food stand expected to serve a couple of thousand visitors. Also, several of the rides were shut down. Save your money.
Avery good time. Plenty to do. My favorite was the close quarters battle door kicking maze with laser guns. Im going to go to this every year. I also heard they have a Christmas haunted park as well.
I had a blast! I was never a fan of scream parks/haunted houses but this one was the exception. All the attractions had super nice details and the make up on the actors was super cool. Loved it!
Went last year. Awesome place! Well worth the money! $50 to do everything multiple times. Staff was great. Fantastic display. No complaints about any of the attractions!
Very cool place to spend every weekend in October. A Full Throttle Halloween Experience! 3 Haunted Attractions and 3 Frightful Scare Zones. A must see!
