Engaging a buyers agent was not a natural decision for us as we like to think we were experienced buyers, we are not new to the property market and even had our own RP data subscription to keep on top of the market research. However with our busy family and work lives coupled with a competitive property market, we knew we needed help. The next decision was which buyers agent. We did tweak our budget to be higher as we got to know the market a bit more and given the lack of stock, we wanted more choices to cast a wider net. Right on the 6 months mark, she secured a deal pre-market beating all other prospecting buyers and we bought before the first open. We even bought lower than our budget. When negotiations started, Gaby really took control of the situation, strategizing, moving quickly, thinking clearly and it was actually quite exciting for me personally without too much stress as I had the comfort Gaby had it under control. Some people may say it's luck which to some extend there is an element of that with stars being aligned. But those opportunities don't present itself and be able to be capitalised unless you have someone like Gaby with the experience to pull that kind of thing off. We are lucky to have Gaby on our side who after many knock downs.......and yet she did not give up, she is persistent, hard working and ready to take on challenging briefs. And I don't say that lightly. If you are thinking of engaging a Buyers Agent, and you get to work with Gaby, better sign up! No regrets! And I would work with her again! To sum it up...could we have bought the property we bought without Gaby? That's a straight “No”. It is with her experience and her professionalism we bought the property we bought. An average buyer without her on your side will not get the opportunity. If there’s something strange in the neighbourhood, we all know who we’re gonna call, right? Yep, GHOSTBUSTERS! But who ya gonna call when you need to sell a 2-storey terrace house, find another (smaller) place to live, clear out 40 years of junk (and treasure), do 1,000 trips up to Vinnies dragging a wheely bag, move what was left into the new place, and all in the space of 6 weeks? AND do it without a car because you don’t drive. AND do it without the help of family and friends because you have to do all of these things during a flippin’ COVID LOCKDOWN! First home buyers. We engaged Gaby initially because we lost out on a property (to her), gob-smacked at how quickly Gaby snapped it up for one of her clients. From the moment we met Gaby we knew we would work with her, she was friendly, new the market and inner west and worked hard to understand what we were looking for in out first home. Within a day or so of engaging Gaby she was sending us properties, we were meeting Gaby at the houses and inspecting them together or she would go on her own and the videos and pictures would come in hard and fast.
