Zero Stars. I signed up and placed an order through Uber Eats. The app set my address to another bakery’s business address somehow and I caught this as soon as I placed my order. I was able to put in my personal address but had to cancel the order. This happened within minutes. I tried to cancel and create a new order but I was out of the area for this bakery. So the order was simply cancelled. I didn’t order a meal or anything that had to be prepared. So this bakery decided to charge me a cancellation fee for over 70% of my order for pre-made goods they only had to throw in a box. I would completely understand if I had ordered a meal and they had to prepare my order from scratch. I wouldn’t even question a cancellation fee for that. I also would understand if I had taken my sweet time cancelling the order, but I didn’t. For that reason I think this review is warranted. On a further note UberEats could not possibly care less and they said a refund of any kind isn’t eligible for my order as they already paid the vendor and it was the vendor who requested the fee. Both establishments clearly are lacking where customer service is concerned and I would never support either again.

On December 13th, 2023 at 5pm, I went in to this bakery and sat down at a table. Some one behind the counter said she will be right out. I was the only customer sitting in or walking in to make a purchase. 7 customers who walked in after I sat down were served before I got fed up 15 mins later. They seem to want to serve only Portuguese speaking customers and give them preference. This was not my first time there. I have eaten there a few times because it is close to home. The food and pastries are not the best. There are several other bakeries near by which are all way better. As someone who has sampled many Portuguese and Brasil bakeries, this one ranks the lowest on the quality scale and have had better service as a non Portuguese person at other bakeries which are incidentally, busier than this one. My advice to you is that if you are not Portuguese , or a regular, take your business elsewhere.

One of the worst services I've ever had in my life. They don't even know how to prepare a simple egg, instead they burnt it and served it to my family. It took them 30 minutes to cook it. My father didn't even touch the burnt and completely tasteless plate. Nor did he even eat it. Horrible. Just horrible. Both the coffee and bread are completely tasteless. What is this? They need a complete reform as well as new employees that know what there doing. I don't even know how this business is still alive with all it's bad reviews. The worst part is how they say they have the best service and quality and how we should come back, which can be seen on the bill. In conclusion, I don't recommend this place, and neither does my brother due to him having a stomachache. Never coming back again.

Went early this evening to pick up my surprise bag using TooGoodtoGo. This location is the one at 2277 Keele St. I don’t know what happened but what I got is pretty disappointing. I’ve been here before and ordered a surprise bag from TooGoodtoGo 3 times and my experience was good. Today, instead of getting the usual 2 boxes with 4-5 pieces of pastries/cakes each box, I got 1 box with 3 pastries. For the bread, I’ve got double the amount in the picture before than today. From small surprise bag, it became an extra small surprise bag. Not sure if the management told staff to put few items or the lady helping us was just lazy. She’s not the same lady who helped me before anyway. Would I come back? No. Will I recommend? No. Save your money and go somewhere else. Very disappointing!

I ordered something simple off the menu kept on the counter by the cash register. When the lady finished cooking and charged me, the price was double what was written on the menu. I told her i placed my order based on the price I saw - No, she said, those are the old prices - when I pointed out false advertising, I just got blank stares and no attempts at resolving the issue I paid the price - (scrambled eggs, side of bacon and espresso = $ 14.50) and I left disappointed. When I opened the bag, no cutleries, no napkins, no condiments and rubbery bacon. - threw it all out) Good bye forever Seara Bakery, you were good once upon a time... Anyone looking for alternatives to this place, try Commiso Brothers or Doce Minho - both are minutes away.

Authentic Portuguese bakery: bread and bake products fresh and delicious. Even if you are not Portuguese, you will find their food with a great flavor, texture, oh and don't forget any of their coffees, lattes, espressos, americanos... oh la la. They open early in case you have to work early. The tarts are a must along with the torta mista. The staff is efficient but when it gets busy it can slow down a bit and don't even expect most of them to say "thank you" or "you welcome", if you go there is because of the baked stuff, not the service. There are enough tables so you can enjoy your meals with friends, and if the weather is nice they have patio. Come for the food and you won't regret it!

I’ve been a customer for over 15 years grab my buns cold cuts and pastries. Great atmosphere the servers have good customer service and some polite only problem we have a hard time understanding Spanish. The pastries display is cleaned and pastries all organized and all fresh so GOOD! I can say finally they have a REAL PORTUGUESE speaking server, hard worker and a fast server with a GOOD Personality! I have to say every time I’ve walked in days or evenings. she’s moving and cleaning. I love meeting my friends and family here for a delicious pastry and coffee. I have to say I always go pick up buns and the pastries and So far it’s one of my best bakeries in Toronto.

Super homey Portuguese bakery inside an older plaza and seems very popular with locals from the neighborhood. 4/5 on pastries. As this was a bakery I expected tastier treats. There's lots of variety but who would come to a Portuguese bakery and not try a nata and cod cake?! Not only that I also tried an eclair. Both were decent but not mind blowing. Very everyday type pastries. 5/5 on hot food. I also ordered a bifana (porkchop bun) which was really good with add ons cheese and sautéed onions. Add on made the sandwich ring out to be pricier but definitely worth it and I would come back for a bifana in a heartbeat.

Very disappointed with service and product. With service, if you only want to buy bread most of the time you have to wait forever before someone serves you. With product, I got a cake that it was very dry , the filling was pure sugar only, no taste at all. I asked the girl that served me if the cakes were fresh, and , I was told that everything was fresh. Guess not!!! The cake was hard, dry and no taste; the same goes for the pastries that I also got. They had that funny taste when something stays for too long in the fridge. They had what I call " fridge taste ". Now I only buy bread there.

We came here for breakfast as a family to our surprise, this place is terrible!!. The floor around our table was slippery wet and the servers mostly new to country did not understand to clean it. They ignored our request as the kids might slip and fall. we ordered the food and plates arrived one at a time in intervals of 18 minutes between each order. I am writing this review as we wait for a toast with jam and the server said it will take another 20 minutes. I am canceling the remainder of our order and leaving. I am hoping the owner reads this review and make the much needed changes.

Okay so this is not the first time I've been here as I have family that live across the street. So back in the day it use to be very clean and always had amazing desserts. But this is the 3rd occasion where I keep seeing bad things in recent years . Rats outside in parking lot spotted by my husband(6month ago) cocroaches crawling on wall, now today the staff member goes to the washroom when I'm using it and leaves without washing her hands. I really don't know what's happening to this place.very poorly run

Went for breakfast today and order my food at 10am, I waited 30 minutes just for scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. When i asked the waitress how long my order would take she said she did not know! When i went up to the front counter 5 minutes later to ask if it was ready, she was literally just putting my eggs on the stove and said the eggs will be ready in 5mins and the bacon is going to take longer! after 35 minutes! I left and am never going back! THE MOST HORRIBLE SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!!

The place looks simple. But the bread was fresh and delicious and prosciutto is tasty but not very fresh. But ok. And prices are low. ❗️Cheese wasn’t fresh at all for what I put 4*. I was there today on October 29 and cheese was packed Oct. 17 and sign SELL BY Oct.18❗️ You can buy things there and also you can drink coffee, tea, hot chocolate or so and get some dessert. Because there are a lot of them also. I recommend this place. But look careful if cheese or other things are fresh.

Of you're not Portuguese, you will be served poorly and your money is not welcomed here! My brother bought these custard desserts for my dinner party, and we'll, this is what we received... Completely burnt! He told me that this bakery are very disrespectful to him and the service is horrible, but this is the last straw... I am making a human rights complaint against this place! If you hate serving customers of different cultures, then you're in the wrong industry! Unbelievable!!!

  • Jahaan Aara

Love the desserts !! Before they had staff that didn't care to tell u what the desserts were when u asked as there is no label or info. So when u asked they were not cooperative so I stuck to what I was sure of but now they have awesome new staff that is attentive and describe the delicious desserts and help you chose . Customer service is everything guys!

Great place. Friendly staff and superb espresso. Great food made to order and your best bet for lunch in this area by far. Nothing but good things to say about this place. If you haven't been yet, treat yourself. One of the few spots left in the city to get a solid lunch with a drink for $5.00. The pizza is awesome!!!

  • Ryan Philip Chacko

Fresh food, good quantity and great taste at very low prices, I often order through delivery apps and have noticed Sears’s prices have remained stable throughout. I have visited a few times and received amazing customer service from the staff, would definitely recommend ordering from here

It's a great place to come chill out grab something hot to drink, a good variety of delicious desserts, or something else to eat if you're in the mood. The patio in the summer is nice, great around sunset with reddish purple skies. Great cakes and pastries. Tea is bagged though.

  • Aleana Nedd

Cute bakery café with a nice selection of sweets. I had the cherry cheesecake, the tiramisu, And a triple layer version of blackforest cake. The worker was so nice to me, even brought my food to my table. Gobbled the cheesecake before I could remember to saving a photo lol

  • Cesar Rodrigues

Great bakery. They have many different types of bread and Portuguese pastry. The place has a lot of tables so it's a good option to sit and have a nice breakfast. Everything I tried was delicious. Also, everyone there speaks both English and Portuguese.

  • Eric Dao

Friendly staff and service! Ordered surprise bags and they definitely packed the orders with a variety of bread and baked good. They have a variety of different baked goods on display and in general they tasted good. Would definitely recommend!

  • Chris Escalona

This is a hidden gem for sure! Nice staff & great food. Limited parking but space will come faster than you think. The best Steak Sandwich I've had in a very long time. Tons of protein & at a very low price. I'll definitely be back for more.

  • Marco Lopes

Good bread and pastry, but the service( early in the morning) is not great. If you ask for a sandwich or anything that is toasted you gonna wait a long time. Beside one girl that's actually really good, the other two are just too slow, not

  • Jin S

UPDATE: I went there today (Dec. 2020) after a long time if avoiding this place....see my original review below. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the service is now. The food was always good but the service was unwelcoming at best.

  • Lesley Morris

I love this bakery...fresh bread, good espresso, plenty of tables to sit and chat with a friend, friendly and helpful staff. The only sore point is, when my fribd and I go in the evening, we want DECAF espresso and the staff always say,

  • David Adler

Very pleasant place. Liked the outside, tented patio. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was very good (omelette) and served hot! The brewed coffee was a little weak for my taste, so next time I'll ask for either an Americano or

I've been to this bakery a, few times & even though food is good, customer service is horrible. On my last visit I felt rushed to decide what to order. Prices are not posted and when asking for assistance, it felt like pulling teeth.

  • Chris Meunier

I was in the area while my car was being serviced at Superior Tire on Keele a short walk away. I ordered bacon and eggs. It was very good quality and well priced. The bakery is clean and has a lot of options including tosta mistas.

  • Jay T

The staff there are really nice and food looks amazing. There's a difference between baked goods at a bakery vs a supermarket.

Carlos for this past week has been treating me to amazing coffee and great sandwiches that are simple yet divine in flavour and quality. The bread is freshly baked which makes the sandwich even more so delicious! 5 stars

  • Tatiana M.

The bread is always fresh and delicious! The staff is so busy but they always service with a great attitude! Perhaps they need to hire one more staff, four would be better but I wait patiently, I love it here!

Tried this place for the first time for a TGTG goodies bag and I was shocked at the amount of delicious goodies that came with it! Everything tasted fresh and great. I'll definitely back :)

  • Maikel Martinez

Lazy person who works or doesn't have the job well. My father and I ordered an order and the order arrived in half an hour and it was not what we ordered the three people work well dirty.

  • Goksel Goksel

I love the cake varieties here because the sugar content is not high. Bread varieties are great and do not strain the human body in chewing and digestion. Thanks to the owner and staff.

  • Phalguni Phukan

I tried the surprise bag and was amazed at the taste, quality and quantity of the food. The "biscuit" cake, millefeuille and donuts were super tasty!! Staff was friendly too :)

  • Filu S

Great place for breakfast. Everything is always fresh service is great. The staff needs to maintain the cleanliness of the tables. Other that highly recommended.

  • laleh farhadi

They have freshly baked bread and cakes, really good. You can also find lots of pastries and some savory options too. Everything was good and fairly priced.

  • Michelle Smith

Enjoyed it overall being my first visit. I had a tosta mista, coffee and tiramasu for dessert. Everything was delicious. I'm definitely going again!

We tried the sandwiches. One pork and one chicken. The meats are freshly cooked so it takes a couple minutes. It was worth the wait.
