I feel why I missed to visit this place earlier..may be because of my little one. This place is just next to the Space Needle downtown Seattle, and have very different experience of commute using monorail if you decide to take transit.. I loved the way the things are organized and the things they included in museum is mix of all flavours which kids from any family might like it doing at home daily..say it playarea with slides and puzzles..a fan of cooking.. fan of shopping ...a stage performer .. have interest in trying hands on with been doctor..fire fighter..postman.. transit driver..I am sure you kid must be doing one of this if they are between 1-10 yrs which is the restrictions of this museum on kids age allowed here.. Being a parent I think we also get a chance to explore things and places like this. I would definitely recommend you or your friends to visit this place and have kids have blast of the world live in there mind.. Again thanks for those who built in such effective way. Price?? Not much compared to the fun your kid will have over there..

We saw this museum on Blippys youtube channel and thought it would be amazing to visit! So we drove up from central oregon just to see it. 1. Personally not worth the drive. 2. A lot of the "make believe" areas lacked play items ( we were sure to ask if it was stocked before we bought the tickets and was told it was fully stocked! ). 3. Too expensive for the lack of play items, the playground outside was way more entertaining and it was FREE. The museum is cute for super little kids. My daughter just turned 4 and got board pretty quick. My son is 8, and thought it was okay. It took us about an hour to do everything in the "museum". It cost over $80 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Wish we put it towards another museum in the area.... best of luck if you try it out.

We are very thankful for the federal program so we could use our EBT and get a nice entry price here. We were in the Seattle area to see family for the holiday and this was a great visit. Our kids like Blippi and they were excited to be in one of the places he has one of his videos. The amount of different themes and areas was really great and including the mountain area for identifying animals and climbing was neat. My kids loved the air tunnels with the pom poms. We were there about 2 hours but your ticket is good for the whole day if you decide you want to come back later.

Still requires masks. Thats stupid and just insane but what do you expect for seattle. The problem is that they're not open every day of the week, and so they require masks till noon, what kid under the age of 5 doesn't take a nap between 12-2?! So you have to force your kids to wear masks if you want to go to the museum that opens at 10:00 a.m., or only get one or two hours to play once they actually wake up from their nap because they close at 4:30. What a ridiculous establishment, whoever is making these rules should be fired lol just the most ridiculous thing to still have in place "for those who are sensitive" get over yourself, we should have A CHOICE.

My son had a wonderful time visiting the children's museum. It was easy to fine. We paid 20 dollars for parking because I didn't know about the 1 dollar parking at a garage near by. Luckily, we have a membership thanks to a friend but I feel that it is way overpriced, especially considering that the parents are just going for their kids. This center is fun and educational and offers children a variety of ways to grow and learn about the world in a fun way. I love that they provide activities throughout the day like storytime and yoga as well. The museum we clean and well laid out and the staff were all very cordial.

It's an ✨AMAZING✨ place for toddlers. There isn't much there, mostly pretend and play rooms.. not recommend for kids over the age of 10. There is a grocery shopping place, art and crafts, dentist, vet, theatre, etc. (All of them are pretend and play.) Upstairs is the food court where there are many restraunts to eat from. Also a huge metal playground (not recommended for hot and sunny days lol) There are some fire tests which you have to get out of the building.. just to teach kids about safety. Overall this is a great place for 3-8 year old children.

Folks, I have never been in the Glass museum in Seattle. It is incredible. People from different parts of the states are visiting this area .If you get a chance look up this artist's work. Dale Chihuly. His work is in all parts of the world & different states. If your eyes gleam and you can't believe it. It is a master that has created a vision and has shown others how to enjoy & create masterpieces. With help and develop their craft skill into masterpieces with the world to see.

I love this children’s museum! I’ve been to a few others but this one is more entertaining and bigger! I think I had more fun than my son and nephew lol!! There’s so much to see and do! My favorite is the grocery store room lol! But there are other rooms and exhibits. Guaranteed to have your child occupied! It’s easy to get there, I catch the monorail over to the Seattle center armory food court by the space needle and the children’s museum is located on the lower floor you can’t miss it!! I could spend hours there!!

Brought the family here many time and we all enjoyed it every time. I would recommend visiting. Seattle center area can be shady. Inside the museum, I've never had a single problem with shady people because its fenced in and there are entrance fees. Not saying to worry about it. Big city, lots of people and you have to walk to get there. Just saying. A lot of fun activities for kids and my wife and I enjoyed it too. Great place.

We visited children's museums in many states, so we were excited to see the one in Seattle! It was busy, but the kids had a blast. They were running from place to place to discover all the wonders! This museum is small, so it was a short visit. This is perfect for smaller kids. I'm still not sure why adults have to pay because they were nothing for us to do besides supervising the kids.

My son accompanied me on a recent work trip to Seattle. When looking for things to take him to, I found this gem. He could have played here forever. It was an amazing place for kids to play and imagine in a safe environment. I thought about lowering a star for the very outdated mask policy, but my son said it well, even with the mask, it was still one of his favorite places.

Fun place to visit with the little guy. Usually not very crowded on weekdays and a good place to make new friends. We started coming here when he was 13 months. Staff are always friendly. Taking a star off because many of the exhibits seem pretty dated and need of an update. At the same time that’s kind of what gives the museum some of its charm (you feel like you are going back in time). They seem to take care of what they have as most everything is in good working order.

  • Shannon Soper

Super fun for toddlers and young kids though we were there on a weekday so it wasn’t too crowded. I could imagine it being hard for kids to share toys and activities when it’s busy. Plenty of benches for parents to sit on, and a huge food court upstairs with lots of options (most not super good, but the fish and chips place is amazing).

World famous Space Needle ! A must see if visiting Seattle. The views are phenomenal. It was a perfect fall day for viewing. Watching the seaplanes land on Lake Union was fun. No time restrictions and lots of photo opertunities. The lower floor with the revolving glass floor is fascinating. Step out on the glass if you are brave !

Our first time visiting. And there is something to. Do for all ages. My son is 4 and had a blast! He really enjoyed the dramatic play areas (pretend, dress up, interaction with props). The post office correspondence with the surround areas. Each area had there own play section. (See video) I had as much fun as my kiddo did!

Stopped here for a quick trip with the kids before leaving for the airport. It's small, and a couple of things were out of order. There is a nice acknowledgment of the local native tribes, and there is a cool local habitats exhibit, but we couldn't spend much more than 30 minutes there. It's a decent place, but don't plan your day around it.

We spent a solid few hours playing around in the Seattle Children's Museum. My kids are both 3, and loved all the different spaces they could interact in and play. They're favorite spaces were the different countries and cultures area, especially Japan with the train car, the traditional house set up, and cool vending machine, as well as the forest area. We'll definitely come back and play again another day.

  • Ali Kefeli

They do honor reciprocity with your local museum memberships. We had Kohl’s Children’s museum membership from Chicago, and that got us 50% off. Some of the pictures posted from a few years ago are misleading. They seem to have a rotating set of exhibits. We missed the jumping exhibit seen in one of the pictures. But aside from that it was a good experience.

Great kids playtime "museum" with many small-scale real-life exhibits, all hands-on. Post Office, fire truck, grocery store, home improvement store, theater and others. Our 3 grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Plenty of adult-sized benches for adults waiting for the kids to be worn out.

We researched things to do with small children in Seattle before our trip, and the Children's Museum was one that kept coming up. It was a great place. Our 16 month old just ran around for hours, and we didn't even get through the entire place.

A true little gem for kids in the heart of Olympia Washington. A ton of hands on activities such as painting, grocery store, ice cream shop, fire truck, ambulance, police car, nursery, vet clinic, lighthouse, sifting for fossils, giant bubbles, riding a trike, pottery, ECT. It is endless and very reasonably priced! A must visit! More

  • Neha Desai

Fun filled activities for kids of all ages. My nephew had super fun here. They have kid version of opticians, super market, cages where kids can dress up like doctor, fireman, construction worker. They have many activities planned for kids as well like story telling, basket weaving, bracelet making etc.

  • Lisa Du

Small but fun enough for a rainy day. Not as good as KidsQuest in Bellevue. It’s sad that there’s “no climbing” signs all over the place. Why don’t they put something climable in a kids museum? Kids want to climb!

Very small space.. but it is very cute. The playground outside is more suited for kids to run around. The price per person with ebt discount was great at 3$ !! My son wanted to come here since he saw Blippi so it haha so we crossed that of our blippi list. Would definitely recommend it.

The Seattle children's museum is a great place for your young ones. They have lots of interactive areas for your kids to experience mechanical devices, acting on a stage, being a postal worker or working at a grocery store. One-hundred-percent recommend this for any young family. More

We took our almost two year old here and he enjoyed it. There was a variety of rooms and activities. A few of the rooms looked like a tornado had come through, but the staff seemed to be on top of the cleaning up. The mountain area was really interesting. Pricing seemed reasonable.

It's not a museum as advertised but a kids play area where all the toys and playing stuff is old and dirty. A playtorium is much better than this. On top of that, these guys charges parents too and charges kids older than one year. Overly hyped place. More

Maybe it's because I haven't been to other children's museums, but my 18-months old toddler and I really enjoyed our two hours there. The exhibits/toys are old and need a makeover no doubt, but it's not that bad.
