I am a grateful patient of dr stickney. Dr stickney is an exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable dentist with many years of experience. Even though he runs a busy practice he makes time to keep up with the latest developments in dentistry and is willing to include new techniques that have been well tested but are not currently mainstream. Its very likely that many of the techniques he is using now will be widely available in 20 years or so. He and his staff are very caring and were willing to really listen and understand what my dental issues where. I believe dr stickney provides the most natural approach to dentistry that is currently available. He emphasizes a preventive approach with the latest techniques for finding dental issues very early so treatment can be as minimal as possible not just relying on x rays alone. He is also very knowledgeable of natural supplements to help strengthen teeth. He uses natural anesthetics and sterilizing techniques such as ozone instead of unnatural mainstream alternatives and finally he is very skilled at dental cosmetics and is very sensitive to making your teeth look the best they can. I discovered dr stickney when I had a crown that had failed. The original drilling required getting very close to the nerve. Although the dentist was very skilled it took years for the tooth to stop hurting and I was told it would be wise to do a root canal because there was a good chance the nerve had been so traumatized by the drilling that it would likely die. I decided to take my chances and it did eventually recover but 10 years later the crown failed and I was told by a couple of dentists that I should go directly to a root canal because the chance of saving the tooth was now very low. I decided to do some research and read about how lasers can be helpful in this situation because they cause less trauma to the nerve than a conventional drill without the heat from the friction so I looked for a dentist who was using one and found dr stickney. When I had my appointment dr stickney told me there was a very good chance that he could save the tooth. Using a laser and other techniques and years of experience the procedure was quick and comfortable and to my astonishment the tooth didn't hurt at all after the numbing wore off and has been fine for over a year . Given that dr stickney had to go even closer to the nerve than in the original drilling with such drastically better results convinced me of just how exceptional dr stickney is

I have previously taken my 4 year old daughter to three different Pediatric dentist within the Seattle area leaving the office feeling very discouraged and hopeless as a parent. My daughter has had a hard time staying still for x-rays and allowing anyone near her mouth for a long period of time. After multiple visits I received the same answer from each provider; that I would have to put my child under general anesthesia in order to successfully provide her with the dental care she needed. That she had way too much “energy” and they would not be able to complete the care plan unless I agreed to do so. After taking her to several dentist appointments I started to notice and feel that she would get a burst of energy to distract her from the anxiety she was feeling. No doctor seemed to have the patience for her. But I was not going to give up on finding a provider that I felt comfortable caring for my child and who didn’t want to relay on putting her under general anesthesia to give her with the care she needed. I decided to make a visit to Seattle Dental Care after a nice telephone interaction with the receptionist. She had left me feeling very hopeful after sharing my story with her. At our 1st visit the dental assistant was very welcoming, took her time and didn’t force anything on my child. We meet with Dr. Cziao who was very pleasant and we set up a care plan. Today we came in for our first treatment and he was extremely gentle and patient with my daughter. He took extra time to make her comfortable and was very understanding to all her needs.Definitely would recommend to others, thank you to the entire staff!

It doesn’t hurt that the office- has incredible views of Elliott Bay and as one might expect, the equipment and procedures are all state of the art, up to the minute, tested and trusted. I have been a patient of Dr Stickney’s for 15 years. In addition to routine dental care I have had old amalgam fillings removed and replaced with porcelain, new partial and full crowns made and most recently some veneer work to correct a very crooked front tooth. In every instance Dr. Stickney and his team have done top notch work. Dr. Stickney provides holistic care using modern techniques and materials. He is meticulous insuring the fillings, and crowns are shaped and fitted correctly. The most recent work, correcting my very crooked front tooth, highlights his years of experience and artistry. I am so pleased with my new smile that I find I am smiling again. Routine care is approach with the same attention to detail by his co-workers and his office staff is always helpful and attentive. I’ve been coming to Seattle Dental Care for many years and continue to be confident in the high level of consciousness that this team has in providing holistic, cutting edge dental care that looks at the impact any treatment will have for the long run. Not only are they thinking about the health impact of procedures and materials used but they are artists in the work they do. One recent trip involved a tricky front tooth repair from a horizontal chip. They were able to find a solution and make a repair that looks great and is dentally sound. I have had other recent work done as well and am very happy with the outcome. It continues to be a pleasure (hard to believe I can combine pleasure with dental work, but it’s true) to have the needed work done for long term health through this office.

His office is above World Market, near Pike Place Market, with free parking below He was referred to me by a Holistic MD, about 15 years ago, soon after I arrived in Seattle. He is a Holistic Dentist, always learning and staying on top of new developments. I have been living with Chronic Illness for decades. I have strange symptoms which include my teeth and gums. I have been very sensitive to drugs, chemicals, metals, etc I have had dental experiences in the past that have been detrimental to my overall health. Therefore, I have invested in working with Dr Stickney, and I am very grateful for his care, and that of his staff.

Notice that all reviews are from older years . The had some stuff change and since that moment it's not same office / service and absurd pricing . Do keep an eye . I have been patient for past 3 years and notice huge difference. Had some major pain and asked to be seen eventually fairly rude lady agreed to grant one . Visit was extremely short 2 xrays didn't even touch the tooth send me to root canal specialist . Charge 200 $ The problem that have they had care to ask about symptoms there was another small pain causing area that I had to beg gum specialist to detect and fix in few seconds literarily.

Wonderful service and attention to detail. Hands down the most comfortable and professional dental experience I've had in my life. I've been going here for the last few years and they were the first to directly address the current bacteria level in my mouth and provide manageable steps to mitigate it. My only wish is that they would accept more insurance policies but it's worth it regardless.

Dr.Cziao is absolutely amazing! He has a soft hand when he went in to place the anesthesia… I didn’t feel anything he was very patient with me from the beginning. Dr Czaio is kind, patient and knowledgable. He has been incredible with my 5-year old son who needs significant dental care. Best dentist experience I’ve ever had. Specifically, Dr. Cziao and the rest of the team listened to my complaint that I had always experienced pain when having dental work done, so they made sure that I was sufficiently numb before starting a procedure. And, voila, I’ve had two crowns placed and several new and replacement fillings done without any pain!

I was able to heal from periodontitis without more invasive procedures. A bonus are the gorgeous views of Elliot Bay and the Olympic Mountains from the office and treatment rooms.

Very high tech. They checked bacteria under microscope and told me that I had gum disease causing bacteria. My hygienist showed me the areas that I was missing from brushing and flossing and what to do for improvement.
