Second cup coffee is far superior to Starbucks and is Canadian, which is a bonus. The coffee actually tastes like coffee and is organic fair trade. My only issue is they have barely any locations in Edmonton and the ones they do have close so early. Come on second cup!! You desperately need a revamp to get people back in your stores. Whoever does your advertising needs to be replaced with the right marketing firm. I remember back in the early 2000's you could barely find a chair to sit in when visiting and you were open until at least 10pm. The only thing starbucks has over you is their marketing, as their coffee tastes like burnt sludge. That's everyone's only option other than Tim's and fast food coffee... gross! Please open more locations on the Southside and North Edmonton and start back up on improving your marketing... Please give us back you as the first choice for coffee enthusiasts in Edmonton

Typically we love this location. Today was an off day. Had a grumpy barista. The lady that actually ran the till for us was quite nice but the one running in the back was slamming things and made a few remarks that were rude. I understand that things can get chaotic and maybe they're understaffed, but when we ordered our coffee she made a comment that we'd have to wait 5 minutes (this comment in genral is fine but it was the way she said it). There was no coffee on tap just flavoured. We had already been waiting 10 minutes so we opted to get a different drink. She then slammed the blender lid and began making our drinks telling us that our drinks will be over there pointing at the side. I feel for the one lady working with her, nothing like walking on eggshells all day.

Went through the drive through for a peppermint white hot chocolate for the Mrs., unfortunately they were out of the peppermint. Drive through was super slow, so I went in to order her new request. There was one person working, which explains the long wait in the drive through, as well as the time spent inside. The reason for being short staffed was understandable, and despite the wait, things were moving a lot smoother than I would be able to maintain. The wait was a welcome break from the hurried pace of my day to day and the lady behind the counter handled everything she had to deal with calmly and with a cheery disposition. I'll definitely be back!

Not a great experience... nobody was in front of me when I walked in and there were 3 staff. Took a significant amount of time to even be acknowledged. When the guy finally came to take my order, i did not get my lattes but the person who ordered after me got thier lattes right away and mine were nowhere to be seen. When I asked about it, my order had not even been brought to the Barista. I also tried to order a half pound of coffee to which the guy said that purchasing a half pound is not an option. I have bought Half pounds at that location many times. And I had no option but to pay for a full pound. This did not get started either and I had to ask again for it. Horrible

I have been wanting to write a review about this place for the longest time now. I rarely leave reviews, but for this second cup location, I have to. The atmosphere is conducive for work/study, there are outlets everywhere (so many coffee shops lack this), the space is spacious and always clean, the drinks are always made to perfection, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, the staff is phenomenal. They treat you with the upmost respect and with so much kindness that it really makes stressful days a lot less stressful. I don't even bother checking out other locations to work in anymore because this place has it all for me as it allows me to get a lot of work done. Highly recommend!

i absolutely LOVE this place. the staff are super friendly, the drinks are always super delicious and so is the food. when i lived on the northside i would always come here to study because they have free internet. they never had an issue with me just sitting by the fireplace typing away and drinking a coretto. i have also held meetings here with clients and the staff have had no issue. it's always so quiet and calm here with such a cozy environment. if you're a student or someone who works from home - give this place a try :)

On the weekend i stopped here for Coffee and Tea, their were 3 employees serving, 2 were busy telling each other off in calm voice while the other was stunned and ignored me, the one lady with colored hair was telling the Gay looking guy that she has to clean the milk fridge every time he leaves and his response was why do you wait for me to leave, my order took 20 min while they were going back and forth arguing. Update: the company is asking me to follow up so as to give me 2-4-1 coupons, not interested, i gave you all the details in my review

I ordered ordered ahead on the app around 7am like usual and when I got to the drive thru, I waited at the drive thru for 5 mins. No answer so I went to the front to walk in and it was CLOSED! there must’ve been at least 2 others waiting too and they ended up leaving plus a delivery guy waiting there too. Very upset that I was able to order online no problem :( I ended up leaving because I can’t be late for work and will be back for a refund as I never got my coffee ‍♀️

This is the location closest to our home and I absolutely love it there. It's cozy and inviting. They have the best London fogs and everything from their cookies to sandwiches are delicious!! The reward system is great for earning free drinks :) Stephanie is the only staff member we know and she is so delightful. Always so friendly and inviting and takes special care to get to know her regulars. Whenever I go to another second cup it just isn't the same! Love this place ♡

Usually have had good experiences at this location until today. The barista got my order wrong, which happens and I was really nice about it. I wanted to confirm my drink would have oat milk in it and the barista rolled her eyes and said “obviously not, it’s not even made yet” and stomped off. I could hear her slamming things around as she remade my drink. Next time I’ll go to Starbucks.

Great for 1 reason Firstly, the service was slow despite not being that busy... oh well And my coffee & partner's was weak, like way too weak. Buuuut, they have a free library. Like the local neighborhood 'take a book, leave a book' type. And it really made it nice. Something more coffee shops should try. Of course some of those books may never move but I picked up a beautiful gem. Shame the weak coffee detracted from it..

Coffee is always good there. When getting an americano just ask for a strong one or run long if you are into that style otherwise it comes out weak. Staff are great, over the years got to meet many nice employees. Nikita was my favorite, she was always so nice no matter the day. Nicole, ZZ, and the owner are awesome too. Heck, they are all nice. It is a chill layout if you want to have a drink or bite inside.

Absolutely LOVE all the staff and the high quality of service. No matter the circumstances, I’d never find myself at another second cup location because the drinks aren’t nearly close to perfect like they are here!! My favourite thing about this location? When they remember my drink just buy the tone of my voice. “ No whip & Extra, extra, extra, extra Carmel drizzle “ ❤️ Adore them, y’all are so appreciated.

I feel like I am always here when I’m in town and that’s probably because everything is delicious and the atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy at this location in particular. The younger girls who were working on the weekend were kind of an offset as they seemed to rather be gossiping than actually working but we were all young once! :) they always make my drinks perfect so they can’t be that awful.

Saturday cheat meal dessert, double chocolate zucchini muffin extraordinaire! I call 30 mins prior to our visit to ask them to hold 2 of the above mentioned ultra decadent muffins...and they are kind enough to do so. Enjoyed in the company of my husband with two coffees in a cozy location. Thank you ladies

every single staff member here is the absolute best. they’re all SO friendly & make you feel welcome. they’re coffee is always on point, i honestly can’t get enough. all the bagels & treats are so delicious. the store is always squeaky clean. they’re quick & efficient, you’re never waiting long after you place an order!!

I feel bad to say this because the staff who works here are super sweet but it always takes a very long time for my drink and usually the drinks all taste the same no matter what I order (the lattes etc).

Second Cup by far serves the best lattes. Price is a little bit of an issue, as they have gone up over a dollar in the last 2 years. Expensive. They do have a half decent rewards program though. This location has very good baristas overall. Better than most coffee shops.

Girl took my order and then took the person behind me order which must have been her friend. She proceeded to make his drink and chat with him. When I asked about my drink it was as if I was interrupting them. I felt bad for her co worker he was doing everything alone.

Customers seem to be a nuisance to the young girls here. My coffee tasted “off “ or burnt and so I took it back. I was asked sarcastically ……”do you want a perfect cup”? Woww. Ok. No…..I’ll just drink this and do a review instead.

I love second cup. Every two weeks my knitting group comes and we take half the restaurant for two to three hours anf we knit or crochet. The staff is very understanding and has gotten to know us. We all enjoy this cafe immensely.

By far my favorite Second Cup. Great location, atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff are awesome! They consistently make drinks properly. I never have to worry about my drink not coming out right or tasting a little off.

I normally order a caramel corretto from Second Cup. This location seemed to take a long while to get it together and I don't like to waste that much gas sitting in the drive through.

Took me 15 minutes in the drive thru to get one latte. The whole time I was sitting at the window the workers were talking and seemed to be walking around aimlessly. Not impressed.

I've been back a few times since and my cups are full right to the top again. Usually my favorite but I'm disappointed that my last cup was missing the top 2 inches.

Chain coffee shop but way better coffee then somewhere like Starbucks. This location is always quiet and quick.
