nice environment,there are many seats by the window. The stools have leather cushions,so they are very comfortable to sit .you can see the scenery outside through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The vanilla latte tastes great and is very nice for reading.

Great place. Dan is fantastic. The place is immaculate. Gold standard for the franchise as far as I’m concerned. As a side note, I’m not sure how one can arrive at a 30 minute wait time...see the 1 star review. That’s just inflammatory and nonsense. The wait is never more than 4 minutes. I’ve been going there every day at variable times for 3 years. The reason they have one person working is because 90% of the time, that’s all they need; it would inflate their expenses to an unreasonable degree to constantly have two people serving.

The atmosphere seems okay but if you are looking for a place to work from, I would recommend to think twice. The internet was the slowest that I ever experienced in a coffee shop. We tried the internet from many different devices and the maximum speed we got was 0.15 mbps for a few hours. It looks like they limited it intentially so that people wouldn't hang out for work.

Great coffee place. It is one of my favourite coffee places in Ottawa. Really nice enviornemnt, place setup and comfy setting. Great for a cup of coffee and a bit of relax or hanging out with friends. The coffee is always made right and it's tasty everytime I purchase it unlike other Second Cup places that I've been to. This coffee place is one of the top tier in Second Cup chain.

Been visiting this location for a few years now and have never been disappointed. Coffee is excellent ( I drink mine black and that is not always the case at other coffee shops ). Coffee and food always fresh. Occasionally there is a short lineup but that very much depends on weather and time of day. That being said the wait is never very long. This location has a friendly neighborhood vibe with great staff.

This is one of my favorite places to visit for coffee in Barrhaven and elsewhere. The staff are friendly even though they are often very busy. It would be helpful if there were always at least 2 people working because sometimes the line ups get a bit long. Not recommended if you want to grab a quick cup of coffee and go. Better for a relaxing visit. Students and others seem to often come here to work.

Great place. We had a quick stop at this Second Cup when we ran into some trouble with our accommodation. Went for two of the smoothies, banana bread, and a croissant. Smoothies were great and the food was good as well. Quite a peaceful place. Plenty of seating space and good environment overall. The lady at the counter was friendly. Overall, a nice place to be.

I dont know why it has taken me this long to put up a review. I have been coming to this location for awhile now. They have the best coffee and hands down the best customer service. The owner Dan is so kind always greets his customer with a smile, makes you feel so welcomed. It's a blessing to have an establishment with such genuine people. Thank you.

Definitely in the top 5 Second Cup cafés that I have been to between the cities of Ottawa/Gatineau-Toronto-MTL. Spoke to the owner who has multiple cafés.....super nice guy (down to earth). Place was clean and all the food products were displayed properly in a really organized manner. Looking forward to going back every time I am in Barhaven.

Love this place. It's locally owned and it shows. The owners always greet you with a smile and they remember your favorite drink. One of the best things about their location is they have tons of seating. I like to set up my laptop and work here when i just need to get out of the home office.

As Second-Cups go this location is very nice. They always have polite and knowledgeable staff behind the counter. The surrounding are up-kept and tables always clean. The coffee is on-point, every time. I don't think they make their pastries on-site but they're very tasty. Always a good place to hang out for a quick coffee and snack.

Service was indifferent, but at first I gave her the benefit of a doubt that she might be having a bad. However, her attitude did not change it was like she was doing me a favour. I spent 75.00, and when I asked for a bag I was putting her out. And I did not even a thank you when I left. There were only three customers.

I recently visited this place and overall had a good experience. The coffee was excellent and the service was friendly. However, I was disappointed with the wifi connection. The wifi was very slow and unreliable, which made it difficult for me to get any work done or even browse the internet while enjoying my coffee.

This was the absolute worst customer service experience I had. If I had someone working in my store like the girl I experienced today I wouldn’t keep her for a second. She barely spoke, didn’t answer my questions, gave me attitude and gave me the coffees completely unlike I asked. Definitely don’t recommend

I have never had a bad experience here. Sometimes the line is long? Do I remove a star for that? NAH, because the staff is going going going, they don't stop! Despite this, they remain friendly which is great! Sometimes people can get flustered if it's overly busy.

Love this location. Very relaxing, can always find a spot even though they tend to be busy and service is great. The barista will take the time to explain the different roasts and still manages to keep a lineup moving! Would recommend this coffee shop to anyone!

This is my favorite coffee place in all of Ottawa. The Caramel Coretto is superb, and the owner is friendly. It has several little tables near outlets so a great place to bring your laptop.

Love the option of almond milk! I find that their lattes have a stronger taste of coffee than other places *cough*Star bucks*cough* . Sometimes when there are deals, I'll buy multiple drinks and freeze them for another day. It works well!

I always encounter friendly staff, a great selection of treats and teas, and an overall comfortable and spacious atmosphere ideal for meeting up with friends but even more so as a nice quiet place with decent wifi to study/work on things.

Excellent service when Dan and his parents are tending. For the most part the highschool/college kids they hire are attentive however I would implore the owners to stress quality and service. Been a few times where that has been lacking.

My favourite place to relax or work. Dan and his team make all the difference. It has all the things we like about a coffee shop chain, but it feels like a family place. Plus it's bright and comfortable. No hassle wi-fi, usually.

Clean warm and friendly environment with knowledgeable staff. I look forward to their holiday specials, such as an eggnog latte...mmm. Great place to pick up a gift they'll enjoy for that someone special on your Christmas list.

Good coffee in a comfortable space; while Ottawa needs more independent cafes, this Second Cup is a welcome addition in the Barrhaven landscape for when you just want a decent cup of coffee.

Very friendly staff. My coffee tasted watery and they actually cared. They had just brewed a fresh batch and promptly replaced and apologized. Top notch customer service every time I visit.

Everything was fine until 9pm came. Radio and lights were shut off with no warning from staff tonight that they were closing. We fortunately were almost finished but some others were not.

Great coffee. I haven't gone to a Second Cup in years going to Starbucks instead. I am going back to Second cup their drip dark roast and Americano is much more flavorful than Starbucks !

Went here in Friday and ordered a tea. The girl working could not even give me a reciept because she didn't know how. Who doesn't know how to print a reciept?

Family run franchise. The owner and all the employees are wonderful. They take the time to get to know their customers and provide amazing service.

I would give this 5 stars but for an above average coffee you should be offering a better natural sweetener like whole earth / sweet leaf stevia.
