Firstly, the rental process of my two properties ran smoothly, and I can confidently say , that no corners were cut. The rental ladies were professional, honest, and went out of the way to assist me, offer advise, were always available, offered the best guidance for repairs, had relations with contractors, that when an emergency stricken ( like the geyser bursting at 2am) , they had it under control within the hour, with little interruption and worry for myself and the occupant. I've recently moved to SA, and I was staying with family while I tried to sort things out. However, after living independently for a decade, living with parents was far too difficult! On a Sunday evening, I went looking for places in the area. I found one that was worth an in-person viewing, and Maria from Seeff responded to my request for a viewing so quickly that I was able to see the place the very next day. That place was nice...but Maria told me to come take a look at a different place the next morning, one that I hadn't seen in my online searches. It's like she *knew* something... I stepped into this house and it just felt like home. I knew I had to rent this place, and Maria could tell I'd be a good match for the landlords as well. I moved in a month later, and I am grateful every day for Maria playing matchmaker. Of course, as with any house, there have been niggles, but a quick message to Maria and a handyman is sent over to fix things. As for the paperwork and payment, Maria was so patient with my questions, helped to negotiate for my cat to be included in the contract, and even handled my rather overprotective dad! Unprofessional staff. I contacted an agent at Seeff Somerset West, Cheryl Gibbon, regarding a property. She said that she would get back to me regarding a time and date to view the property. She then asked if I can send her my pre-approval letter for a home loan, which I did. I have not heard back from her till this day. She has been ignoring my emails and texts.
