I bet they taste good no complain about it. They don't know how serious It could be from not reading the Uber Order NOTES these people can kill someone without seeing notes how dangerous it can be for allergens. NO Sorry would bring life back and it's not about money it's about the food you provide to the person and his safety is important, I don't care if you have a million orders to go through or I get a refund from Uber eats, it's not about money seriously! or even sorry. My wife ordered something uber eats with clearly written allergy notes on the Order, and after receiving the order I was suspicious and called them to find out and there they mentioned on the phone they didn't read the food safety allergy notes, In fact they didn't even know about Food safety and there could be notes to read. How disaster could it be if we didn't call them and had the food. Next time if you are not sure please call the person uber there is an option to call, and cancel the order if you can't provide the food, just don't send without reading it. This is not acceptable. There is No Description given in the menu what so ever. Again I agree You have apologised and said this what I hear, that's true but when after I call you, did you take any imitative to read my Notes did you call me?? NO right.. there is no Apology will safe the life?? so I clearly mention this " Please give me eggless one, If its contains egg please cancel it". If you are running the business 20yrs its your family business and I can image how hard it would be to run. Sorry for my comments, but its not my fault or responsibility. For your Instance I have upload photo I have clearly stated. I have done what I have could, next would be your responsibility to either provide or cancel it.

Simply put, this is one place you have to visit to believe the variety, quality and savory taste of their handmade products. Whether you buy items to take home and enjoy with friend and family or eat-in on their premises, the parking available there allows you to truly enjoy their authentic European cuisine, regardless of whether you're there for Bougatsa and a fresh latte, baklava or even Tiramisu and a latte you'll never go wrong there. Today I visited them again to pickup some things for home and am very pleased with everything, of course! This week I had their delicious bougatsa and tried their kourabiedes. Wow is all I can say! Thank you all so much for making such amazing things. And yet again on 07/24/23 they didn't disappoint. Just can't get enough of the wonderful items from this place.

Got order delivered yesterday pasteli package had a hole in it and koulourakia taste stale and not fresh. Called to let them know these things. They did nothing to rectify; maybe send something different a credit anything. They don’t care about the customer is how I felt after the phone call and will Take my business elsewhere. There are other bakeries that treat their customers better. As a company you need to be able to take criticism and hear people out and do something to rectify the issue not tell them they’re wrong and what they’re saying isn’t true. Work on your customer service skills!

The location is easy to find, the variety of food options was from bakery breads, desserts, wines, olive oils, olives, greek pastries, coffee & groceries imported from greece is diverse. The pastries are fresh & the service was lovely at the pastry counter. The atmosphere was great & staff were helpful, especially with understanding the different bakery selections. You can also order for parties, they supply catering style platters for pick-up. Highly recommend a visit if you want a greek food experience! Parking is available, but limited & there is TTC available near the store.

Amazing local bakery! They have the best bread in the city always fresh and hot. Their baklava is tasty and delicious sticky and just the right amount of sweetness. The chocolate covered baklava is always a favourite and a big hit when visiting friends. They also have a great little cafe area where you can sit and enjoy any of their delicious treats or great sandwiches or cheese and spicnach pies. My family and I frequently visit especially on the weekends. Their staff is always smiling and friendly and super helpful especially in recommending products.

  • Syeda Fariha

It's a Greek bakery that offers fresh breads, cookies, pastries and cheese. Also, grocery is combined with it where you can find nonperishable food. They have a little space to enjoy fresh coffee and sweets and snacks. Their cakes are delicious but the other sweets like baklavas are too sweet. The place is clean, competitive price and excellent customer service. However, it could be great if the entrance was accessible for handicapped.

*Longtime customer and grew up around this bakery.* I have literally eaten hundreds of rice puddings. We had a communication issue in confirming a birthday cake pickup. The staff, including owners thought it was appropriate to talk poorly in front of us, I guess they thought we couldn’t hear them? Very rude, not professional and a bad experience. Too bad! 1 STAR for fresh bread 1 STAR for good Feta Cheese 1 STAR for the Birthday Cake

This place is just heavenly! No wonder so many people go to this family-owned bakery and became regulars over the years. Consistency of high quality, wide variety to choose from and baking with a special ingredient: with their love. ❤️ From authentic Greek and European pastries and desserts to delicious deli items and groceries... it's all there! Their tzatziki is highly recommended, we can never get enough of it!

Red velvet cake sucked. The icing tasted like powdered sugar with water and not an ounce of cream cheese. The larger lady with dark hair who writes the message on the cake was miserable looking as of she was rushing to close I guess since I came in 15 minutes prior to closing. I should have taken the trip to Danforths' Serrano's or pick up a LaRocca instead. Not worth the thirty bucks for a knock off red velvet. Won't be back.

  • Review R

Great selection. A bit over-priced. The quality is not the same as 5 or 6 years ago. The first time I tried their Milfe cake, it was so tasty that I bought it for my friends and family too. I tried the same thing recently (multiple times) and I wasn't happy. There is another bakery close-by with more options and bite size pastry. I suggested to them to provide a similar products but the cashier didn't even like the idea. :(

Bakery, deli and mini cafe/grocery store all in one. Eager and helpful staff. Good sliced cheese and deli meat. I personally find the drip coffee awful. This bakery has a very distinct smell. The window decor each holiday/season is extremely well done. Specialty baked goods are beautifully made but overpriced. $12 for a pumpkin pie that resembles and tasted like the $3.99 Food Basics version - questionable if made in house.

  • LONE SAILOR

The baklava was so old that we were afraid poison and didn’t eat it. Koulourakia were so hard and didn’t risk braking a tooth. I spoke on the phone with the owner and asked him to take them back to him to inspect. He refused and blame the carrier UBER. He had a very bad attitude and no pride for his product passing the responsibility to UBER. I reported to the CBC NEWS. I will never go to that place. They should close it.

  • Pashy Mulingwa

I just ordered from Uber eats and i wanted to change my item because of allergies and the staff was so rude and mean saying she cannot. She wants me go pay again and purchase it. I read the reviews on this bakery and the owners and staff are just arrogant . I think job applicants have to be rude to pass

I was very unhappy with a product bought there. I spoke to manager and he was not helpful did not suggest anything at all store credit efc for me. With that attitude..... they just lost a customer byeeeee! The managers attitude is NOT good. I've read other reviews saying some food is not good and not fresh. This is not how ho handle an unhappy customer. I will be shopping at Serranos from now on.

  • Robin Russell

Everything I eat from there gives me heartburn, stomach ache. I got a sandwich , baklava and almond cookies. After eating the sandwich and baklava I had severe indigestion, burning. At first I didn’t think it was related to the food, but I waited a few days and then ate some of the almond cookies, extreme indigestion /heart burn. It’s awful, wonder what is going into the baked goods?

  • Domenic Carucci

Very good bakery for my birthday my mother order me a cake she told them the way I wanted my birthday cake and they did it perfectly the cake was very nice and delicious also when we went to go pick up the cake we bought some Greek pastries and the staff were all very friendly and respectful this bakery is amazing and I highly recommend it to everyone you won’t be disappointed.

Located on a busy section of Donlands, Select bakery has been serving up some great pastries and cakes for a number of years. Everything from tiramisu to baklava. There is also a deli section that provides something other than sweets. A small seating area in front provides a chance to have a quick bite and relax for a minute or 10. Definately worth checking out.

  • Eugenia Christina

Ordered some desserts for Mother’s Day and they were stale with a bad smell. Especially the bougatsa and the chocolate baklava. If the owners see this - please don’t sell stale food to your customers. It’s a bad experience and bad for your reputation. You’re better off not selling the item at all / reducing your selection of goods if you can’t keep them fresh.

  • Marianne Gee

The place is easy to find. I looked around inside like a kid in a candy store. I wanted to try everything. I got a few little cakes/tarts along with a birthday cake with writing. I'm going to give them 5 stars eventhough I had a little problem with someone's spelling, but I managed to fix it after the birthday boy saw it. I'll be coming back for more soon!

  • Chris Tolias

Thank you Select Bakery for your amazing service and fantastic desserts. Even during covid-19 nothing has changed, service at goodies are still top notch. Your online ordering system has allowed us to send my parents and In-laws the groceries they need without having to go out and extremely quick shipping. Thank you to everyone at Select Bakery

  • chefrobcan

Great place for some traditional Greek dishes and foods. Then there are a few that are not as good as they used to be. Found the Galaktabouriko to be missing the "Love"(no flavour), rice pudding was runny and missing sweet of any kind. Baklava was awesome! Cookies are Fantastic! Overall it's a great spot! Maybe they just had a bad day.

  • Matthew Potter

Bizarrely well stocked for a small bakery but don't rely on the meat and cheese selection fully. While it is great for niche Greek cooking, the grocery options are limited. That being said, the flat bread they have is phenomenal! Buy 3 packs and freeze them! Pop them in the oven for a moment to warm up and it will change your life.

  • Elaine Harley

Bet you can't leave without buying at least one treat - sweet or savoury - but luckily the prices are very reasonable. Staff is very attentive and helpful without being pushy. I just miss being able to linger with a sweet treat and a coffee. NB There's also a selection of Greek groceries such as pastas and store made frozen meals.

  • LM M

The village bread is good and I often purchase that as the bakery is close by. The desserts are hit and miss. The small cakes I purchased not long ago were very nicely decorated but a bit stale. The staff are friendly and efficient at times and other times slow, never smile and on today's occasion rather rude. Convenient location.

  • Food Critic

The owners and staff are absolutely brutal full of attitude and arrogant for the subpar products and service they offer. My Last time I stepped foot in here is when I overheard the owner Reprimanding a member of Staff in a condescending deemeaning tone over absolute nonesense. There are better bakerys around east york.

  • CHEN YENG

Went in there to purchase a cake for family dinner. Wasn't greeted by anyone, wasn't asked if I needed help basically like I was invisible but helped their favorite customer who was behind me. So I left I didn't buy anything cause of the lack of service. Maybe if I'm in the area I'll try again.. …

  • G T

Friendly service and wide selection of greek pastries. We got a lot of cheese from them as well. So many different kinds of feta and the one we got was so creamy. The baklava is good and so is the spanakopita. Prices are decent for what you get. Some of the cookies are charged by weight.

  • Judith K

Was able to buy fresh yeast for Christmas baking there! $2 for half a pound! Lots of lovely Greek pastries, savory and sweet, Greek dips, thyme honey. Right now only one person per family allowed because of COVID (Dec. 19/20), so line up separately if two of you want to get in.

  • Tamarra Peacock-Cornudella

They have a great selection of pastries - savoury and sweet. But every time I've tried the pastries, I found them to be slightly stale. As if they've been sitting out all day. Maybe it happened to be the few times I've gone, but I still have yet to try something fresh there.

  • Tea H

Select Bakery is my favourite bakery in the city, so I had them do my wedding cake(s) last weekend. Not only were they delicious as always, they decorated the cakes exactly as I requested!!! On top of friendly service and great prices, I couldn't ask for more.

  • Ken Mavor

We bought a selection of cheese and desert pastries for take out. The service was wonderful - the young man on the register was patient, helpful, cheerful and polite. We made a detour to go there, so we weren't surprised by how great the pastries were.

  • Steve Vlahogiannakos (Big Poppa Steve)

Select Bakery does the best authentic Greek pastries in the East End. The parking is ample, right out front, on Coxwell and the product inside is always "poppin' fresh". I love their copper-foil accented boxes - classy looks for gifting. …

This place is fantastic!! Amazing variety and super friendly staff. Nice little dining area. There is much more to explore but they have a large varied supply of yummy shortbread, biscottis and lots of baklava including chocolate-coated.

Select does it right! Some of the best treats in town. I would swim like Scrooge McDuck in a pile of their lukumades if I could. Super friendly staff and very well run. Their web ordering system works! A lovely addition to the community.

Excellent bakery and nice little selection of groceries too. They even have a very tasty vegan spinach and leek pie (like a spanakopita but no cheese). You can get a slice warm for takeout or get a whole tray frozen.

  • Hany Jash

Workers were very rude today not sure why. But their was also a hair found in my spinach roll. I would give this 0 stars however that’s not possible. The workers were also being very racists and islamaphobic to me.
