Yesterday was absolutely the best car buying experience I've ever had. I'm in my mid-forties and am a technology professional in a Fortune 500 company, as is my spouse. We have purchased several vehicles around DFW in our nearly 20 years of marriage, and most were experiences we would rather forget. I've done my share of walking out of dealers never to return. But yesterday at Select City was different. Very, very different. From the time of first seeing the sedan I had spotted on TrueCar to the time I had paid in full, was walking out the door, and was having the car delivered to my house, I had probably spent a total of an hour to an hour and 15 minutes max at Select City... and that's with my young daughter in tow, including a test drive with just me and my daughter, and including a 15-minute zero-pressure inspection of the car inside and out... again left to be done all by myself! No pressure, no hassle, all questions answered, and totally friendly and sincere. And as TrueCar had advertised, the price was the price, and it was very good. There were no extra fees, nada. Price + TT&L = exactly what I had estimated before I walked in the door. Outside of maybe Tesla's attempt to disrupt the traditional approach to car buying, I can't imagine a dealer working harder to make the experience pleasant for customers. I mean good, grief! Have you ever had a fantastic waiter or waitress at a great restaurant and felt happy to tip them generously? I actually had that feeling ***AFTER BUYING A CAR***. Yeah, I know... it sounds like insanity. But that's the kind of surprise and gratitude I felt after I was home, looking at my new Honda Accord, and realizing that I had the entire rest of my Saturday to spend having fun with my daughter instead of burning hours getting the run around at a traditional dealer (yeah, you heard me, every Honda dealer in North Texas). Anyway, trust the customer reviews of Select City. Select City's sincerity and desire to be good to customers is real. I liked the proprietor so much that I started talking to him just because I enjoyed the conversation. While doing so, I eventually learned he is a Marine veteran of ~8 years and is now in the National Guard. He served in Afghanistan, Iraq, and others overseas posts. So you want to have a great car buying experience, get a great price for a good vehicle, and feel like you did business with a fantastic business owner and fellow citizen and member of your community? This is the second time I bought a car from Select City Cars , and both have been excellent experiences. I moved to Dallas last year, and knew no one in the area, but was very comfortable in the online car buying process, ever since I bought my first car online back in 2014. I did a thorough search, and immediately found that Select City Cars had the best website in terms of web-page design, ease-of-use, and had the most extensive stock information. This kind of transparency told me that this was the real deal. I found the car that I liked and arranged a test drive. In a way I like to think that I'm a savvy buyer, especially when the car that I was planning to see was already sold by the time I got to there. It happened not once, but twice! The fact that I kept coming back for the third time showed the quality of the people at Honda Cars, especially Jay . They treated me with respect, apologized for the inconvenience, and went above and beyond what's expected to get me a better deal. It's not entirely their fault, because I couldn't come the same day I found the cars, and the ones I chose were already a very good deal that someone else would've snapped them up immediately. Anyway the third time was the charm, because Jay found a 5-month 2017 Honda Accord LX with 1,600 miles for $4,000 less than its new MSRP price. But of course that wasn't the price I paid because we negotiated some more (wink) Long story short, I enjoyed my used 2017 honda Accord very much until I got an email a few weeks ago asking if I'm interested in trading my car at 120% of kbb price. I wasn't planning on getting a new car, but this was a deal that's just to sweet to pass. It was a pleasant experience coming back to the dealer, and met Jay And Faiz , Eli again. As usual the whole experience was painless, and I found a New 2017 Honda Accord Sport This Time that I really liked. Did I walk away that day with the new car? Nope. I went home empty handed because we couldn't agree on the price. But that's not the end of the story. Jay called me a few days later, we negotiated a bit more, and finally agreed on a price. I thought they were very friendly, treated me with respect, and the price was fair. And most importantly, all through the process I feel that they were being honest. With all the information that's available on the internet, incl. the base price that Honda 'sells' to their dealers, you know a mile away if someone is being less than truthful to you. I'd been searching for my vehicle for a while. A few times, I thought I "found it" at different dealerships, but things did not work out to the terms I was looking for. When the vehicle turned up at select city cars I decided to call ahead of time to make sure the vehicle was still on the lot - it was, and I had an appointment jay. When I got to the dealership, jay gave me 100% of his attention and took the time to understand my needs and my terms. When the sale completed, all my terms were met - make/model/year, condition, and price. Yes, getting through F&I took longer than I would have liked, but where wouldn't it be? There were only 2 disappointments: 1. I was denied a full tank of gas 2. The battery was dead in the 2nd key fob. I didn't realize it at the time, so when I got to my local service dealer, the price to replace the battery and reprogram the keys was $50.00 For the small price of satisfaction, select city cars should have made sure that these 2 items were taken care of ahead of time. Is it the fault of service or management? In any event - the overall experience was very good, and I am very happy. The sales process was void of pressure, and I felt I could've walked at any time without being hassled or hustled. I do recommend the dealership - they have a pretty good selection of vehicles used cars. I just bought my new 2016 Honda Civic LX and the last thing I ever thought I'd be doing now is writing a review. But I was so impressed with the guys I worked with, particularly Jay , that I had to put the word out. These guys gave me a better deal than the one I had shopped online, and then beat it, and then beat it again. But beyond the deal, Jay was frankly the type of guy who is a pleasure to deal with. He went so far beyond what I expected even after the deal was done, that I can only say he definitely in this business for the long term customer relationships and positive word of mouth. My sister had bought a car from him a couple months ago, and raved about him, and I was honestly skeptical, thinking a car salesman is a car salesman. Not so. These guys... Jay and Faiz in finance are genuinely good guys. Sure, their job is to try to earn some money for the dealership and themselves, but it never came at the expense of making a marginally happy customer a better deal so I would be thrilled. Bottom line: I left thrilled with my deal, and with my dealings with them. I'm a tough cookie when it comes to buying a car, and these guys were patient, respectful, and even entertaining! I am very happy purchasing my CR-V from Select city cars and the seller I belief was Faiz, He was very straightforward and candid which was very much appreciated. I wanted a 2018 CR-V with navigation which are hard to come by - and when available they fetch top dollar. Other dealers really tried to gouge me for the few CRV's with NAV and wouldn't negotiate - and they really jacked up the pricing and added on all of these BS extras. At Select City Cars although they didn't negotiate like I would have liked them to, they were straightforward with the pricing, made themselves competitive and didn't take advantage of the fact these cars are hard to get by adding on all these ridiculous extras. As for people complaining about waiting - buying a car isn't like buying a bike at walmart - it takes time - EVERYONE MAKES YOU WAIT - IT'S A SLOW PROCESS. At least here they have good coffee or tea while you're waiting! And do yourself a favor and go prepared by getting a price report from consumer reports. My son, home from U.S. Air Force Academy, finally in his 2nd year of school and authorized to have a vehicle on base, started searching the Metroplex for a dependable used truck. The trucks we looked at, in the years and price range, were disappointing until we went to Select City Cars to look at an Ford F-150. I, recovering from multiple myeloma cancer, do not have much energy to negotiate as I used to; with Jay, I did not have to. Jay, as myself, served honorably in the U. S. Armed Forces, he in Marines and I Navy, already shared a relationship as Brothers in Arms...in a military scene, we would give our life for each other. He bent over backwards to provide a great vehicle for Alexander to drive back to the Academy. I could not feel more comfortable in him...he also dropped the price by $1000 since he wanted Alexander to have a nice truck. Jay, who is originally from Afghanistan and joined the Marines as a translator to escape the historic internal hostilities in his country, has worked hard to make a better life for his family and live the American Dream. After receiving the special attention with making a deal for Alexander's truck, I will consider going back when it is time for myself to get another vehicle.

Hi, I found my most recent car on Select City Cars via AutoTraders. Its amazing to me to sit at my desk near San Antonio, pick up the phone, negotiate, close and execute a deal for a car 250 miles from me. I got my financing in place by phone and email, made Jay an offer which he graciously accepted and got the paperwork going. My bank got all their paperwork to me through web based DocuSign and I forwarded it to Jay and he got me his paperwork via email which I used DocuSign to execute all his forms. After that Jay took care of everything. He even contacted a transport company for me. My car shipped the next morning arriving that afternoon, unbelievable. I had found this vehicle on online, I called the dealership and spoke with Jay, told him we lived about an hour and a half away and asked him if he could put me in this vehicle with the monthly payments I could afford?..He told me yes, that it would worth my drive. My experience at Select City Cars dealership in Dallas Texas was incredible and I bought my first Honda Accord !! Do not purchase your car from here it's best to go to a regular dealership at the price they sell these defective cars. I bought my car 2 weeks ago, during the purchase everything was warm and friendly. Once I called for the problems I'm having it's no longer warm and friendly. I bought a Nissan Altima from the exterior it looks like it's in mint condition, little did I know that the true problems are within the vehicle. Already had to purchase a new battery, they also informed me looks like the radiator was bend. That the vehicle had been in accident. It sure wasn't in one with me, wouldn't be on here complaining but dealing with my insurance. If you do decide to buy it here, take someone who is knowledgeable about cars so you won't have to go through with, what I'm going through.

We bought a 2016 Honda Accord from Jay at Select City. Not only was it a great car for a great price, it was a fun and enjoyable experience. Yes, I just said buying a used car was a fun experience. The guys there are friendly, don't push you, let me rest drive whatever I wanted from their inventory by myself, and made me laugh on a regular basis. We don't buy cars very often, but we will be Jay's customers every opportunity we can. The prices he lists the cars for are reasonable, compare and you will see. But even negotiating was not painful. faiz was extremely friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy. He gave us time to look around at all the Used Cars that we originally came in to look at. He answered all our questions about each car we looked at and gave us advice about which year would be the best to buy and how much mileage would be acceptable. When we went inside so that faiz could figure out how much we could get for our trade-in, we started looking at the mind concadtion cars and fell in love with the 2014 Honda Accord Ex-l in the Truffle color. Then faiz and Select City Cars worked up the figures on the cost of the new car and the amount of the trade-in. After some haggling we agreed on a fair price and we purchased the car. We were very satisfied with the whole experience.

They advertise honesty but that is far from the truth. I bought a 2017 Accord with 1600 miles or so. Jay informed me the car was perfect and had no issues. Found out during the rains that the trunk leaks big time. Took to Honda and was informed that car has been in an accident. Called Jay, the owner and informed him of the non disclosed accident and that I would like my money back. Jay was not interested in solving the issue, just a bunch of excuses. Nice guy, seems honest but is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Do not trust him!! We will not have to use the law to force him to do what is right...

The personnel at Select City are very helpful, the prices are reasonable, and it seems they have all newer cars in very good condition and still in warranty -- some are practically brand new. Faiz is pleasant to work, with, patiently answering every question in detail. I will keep him in mind when we need another car. I highly recommend this dealer for your next vehicle purchase! Update: Not so happy anymore. Just a couple weeks later I discovered the vehicle must have hit an embankment or something. The lugnuts were about to break off, alignment was way off and I spent $2800 to fix it.
