Subject: Wow I have been ripped off!! I would like to report the dodgy practices of Wow rental cars. I have been ripped off as a Customer. Here is what happened... I engaged them for a self driven car. I was promised a swift desire sedan 2022 and I paid them in advance accordingly. The car that I got was an over used worn out 2019 hatchback (no space for luggage) car with scratches and dents. The interior of the car was equally bad. The car had multiple issues including heating up of the engine and clutch related issues. On the top of it the car would randomly stop at inclined surfaces which i assumed that the clutch plate was worn out. Imagine navigating though flyovers and highways, which was extremely dangerous. Our pleas and requests from time to time fell in their deaf ears and no help or solution was suggested from their side. Another point to note is that they charged a lot of money for Airport pickup. The handover of the car was made approximately 5 km away from the aiport. The driver came with the car without taking into account that there were 5 passengers already. Imagine being clumped in a small car with five old passengers for 5 kms... such a shame. But the nightmare did not end there. When we finally finished our journey and reached the airport security to board the plane, we realised one of our phone was missing we involved the authorities and searched the entire airport. When we could not locate the device then by process of elimination, we realised that that we may have dropped the mobile in the car. We called Wow cars, multiple times and they said that there was no mobile in the car. With the help of authorities and mobile technology, we traced the location of the car to Wow car rentals. We called Wow rentals and advised them that we had found our device at their location. Upon hearing the word police, they changed their narrative and immediately accepted that the mobile was with them. I am wondering what if I was not able to locate my device! Would they have advised us about the whereabouts of the mobile? But the harrowing experience did not end here.. I requested if they could get the mobile to the airport at our cost. They refused to co-operate and got rude and disrespectful. I sent one of my colleagues to collect the phone next day. They also made it very difficult to hand over the phone. The way I see it is, here is a company indulging in dodgy practices with rude and poor customer service. I would like to warn people who wish to engage them. Do not go by google reviews.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! DON’T RENT OR CANCEL IF YOU ALREADY HAVE BOOKED. They remotely immobilised our car for over speeding(that too just crossing the limit of 110 to 111 for 1 second which can easily happen on a down slope if I am maintaining 100). I almost met with an accident since the car lost power suddenly. That’s not even the worst part. For the next 1 hour, they mentally harassed us to first pay the fine for exceeding limit and then only they will remotely turn on power in the car. This almost seemed like extortion. Also, all their people were unapologetic about remotely immobilising the car which could have easily led to potential accident and death. They kept repeating that you crossed limit hence we immobilised and didn’t even think about the what situation the car would be in once they immobilise it on a running highway. I can’t imagine what these people are made of. Absolutely inhuman. Customer support guy was even worse- not listening or understanding the gravity of the situation, just repeating to pay fine for a petty limit cross for a second else he’ll leave us stranded on the highway. He should be part of team called customer extortion and not customer support. He didn’t even connect us with any higher authority to escalate the issue. Other issues - they are not compliant with rto rules. We got harassed by Maharashtra rto and then Goa Rto cause their car was not compliant ( not have side number plate and radium number plate) They just like to operate on app based data(which could always be faulty) and not understand the ground situation or listen to customer grievances. Leaving customers stranded on a highway without restoring power in the car unless we pay fine for something unjust was extreme extortion. If there was some fine, they already had security deposit, my pan card, also the additional amount that i paid on their behalf to rto as challan. It could have been easily adjusted at the end of the trip. But they didn’t agree unless we made payment which we had to do at the end to save us from being stranded on the highway at midnight.

Hi Wow carz team, Firstly, a Big thank you for making my vacation pleasant & memorable by making car rental so easy, care and worry free. This is my first time car renting experience in India and it all started with many calls to big car rental companies. It is so hard to reach them and on top of that we had to wait for close to 15-20 mins to talk to customer service to know the model and KM ran for the car. Some companies don't disclose the KM ran, and that is simply unacceptable. As a person renting a car rental car companies should disclose all these information in their website or the customer care should tell this upfront. Coming to Wow carz, from the time i called them and how the call back from Wow carz happens it was a breeze. I would like to highlight Mr.Dushyant from customer care team who came in for a WhatsApp call (he did not have to!) explaining the fleet of vechicles availble, theier model and KM ran. He exactly listened to my requirement and provided right recommendations. On top of that, he stayed in WhatsApp till the booking completion. Furthermore, on my request he continued to stay in touch with me and provided vehicle number after the booking was done. He is simply awesome and thanks for his patience and perseverance my booking experience was simply magic. I got a 2023 Hyundai Creta (ran less than 14K) Diesel as per my requirement. On the delivery part, I exactly got a call 1 hour prior(from my scheduled delivery time) from Mr.Manikandan for the home delivery. He explained patiently all the aspects of the vehicle including fuel, KM, fastag, customer service etc. He clearly explained all the emergency (in case) procedures and he was total friendly. After my trip was completed, he came in at the right time, inspected the vehicle and took less than 10 mins as promised. Thanks to Manikandan, my delivery experience was so awesome and completley worry free as well. Overall, a big shoutout to Wow Carz for making my vacation "simply Wow" with their exceptional customer, delivery service teams and of course budget friendly fleet of vehicles.

I am writing to express my utter dissatisfaction with the appalling service I received from WOW Carz. My experience with your company was nothing short of a nightmare. Upon my initial inquiry, I was given false information regarding the rental duration. I specifically mentioned that I needed a car for a few hours, but I was informed that the minimum booking period was 18 hours. Despite this, I was assured that the car could be picked up within 6-7 days, which seemed convenient at the time. However, the delivery person contradicted this information, stating that I would be charged an exorbitant fee of 250 rupees per hour only if I did provide a 6-hour advance notice, otherwise it will be INR 750 or so. When I requested a more reasonable delivery time, I was met with resistance and unhelpfulness. To add insult to injury, I was charged an outrageous cleaning fee of 1250 rupees due to a minor spillage caused by my toddler. The cleaning fee was completely disproportionate to the situation, and the staff members involved, namely Vinod Kumar B and Vinod Kumar V, displayed a shocking lack of professionalism. When I suggested cleaning the spillage myself and requested some time, I was met with sarcastic remarks and condescending behavior. Furthermore, I find it incredulous that a company of your stature lacks the basic courtesy of providing a reasonable credit limit for first-time customers. This lack of flexibility and understanding only serves to highlight the complete disregard WOW Carz has for customer satisfaction. In light of my experience, I want to make it unequivocally clear that I will never consider renting from WOW Carz again, nor will I hesitate to share my harrowing experience with others. Your company's service was far from 'WOW' – it was a disgrace, and I strongly advise others to steer clear of WOW Carz to avoid the stress and disappointment I endured.

I have hired i10 car in the firat week of july. The car was ok. But my bad experience started with them before even the car was delivered. I had requested the car to be delivered at 6.00 AM but a night before when I called them they told me that no delivery agent is available so early in the morning. I had to request them multiple times like a begger to make them understand that it is important for me to leave before 6 AM. Somehow I got the car in time. The horror continues when we try to drop the car. The official time to drop the car at bangalore airport was 9 AM. We had our flight at 12PM. We started calling the customer care from 6 AM in the morning but there was no response from customer care till 9AM. And at 9AM they informed me that no agent is available! I am sitting in airport car parking and they tell me they are not able to send anyone. What am I suppose to do with the car! Then one agent called me and told me that he will me there by 11.30. He asked me to leve the car in parking and hide the key in front wheel rim. We did that as it was already 10.30 hand we had to catch the plane. I asked them how will they return my ID card which they took before delivering the car. They told me that they will courier me. As I was in hurry and too exhausted, I said ok. Since then one and half month have passed. I have called them 15-20 times to return my ID card and there is response from their end. Most of the time customer care executive picks up the call and put it on hold and the disconnects. I really wish I had opted for some other service provider. Wowcarz team are well trained to make your trip as horrible as possible. Kudos to wowcarz!

Great Trip with Santro 20 & 21 May Bangalore Airport - Shravanbelgola - Mysore - Shravanbelgola - Wilson Garden - Bangalore Airport. Mr Arun was ready on arrival at Airport on exact time and Mr Shridhar came much before we reached back to the airport for the drop up. It was the Santro Era model of 2019 with approx 1.10 Lakh km driven. Condition and AC was good. We faced no issues. It was my first experience using a Wowz car, after a similar happy experience of using Indus Car for Kerala Trip from /to Ernakulam. Everything went fine. It was an airport to airport trip. Good people. Can trust them. Thanks for making our short trip great. Few tips for those using it first time from or to airport. 1. Their executive will come to the airport. He will come with you to the toll plaza. There, after mutual inspection, the car will be handed over to you. They will take one original id in their possession and that will be returned after you give back the car. 2. In a similar way you will have to give the car back to their executive who will be waiting for you near the toll plaza. Again documentation and inspection will take place there. Afterwards he will drive and drop you to the airport 3. Car will have limited fuel and there are very few petrol pumps when you come from Bangalore airport towards the city. So please get it refilled as soon as you see the first petrol pump. 4. You will have to recharge Fastag of the car for an approximate amount based on your journey Any balance, will be refunded.

I personally did not have a good experience with WoW car rental. To start with I was not happy with the fact that car delivery was late even though I had procided the google maps location on WhatsApp to their team. A some major things which went wrong with this company: 1. Only one of the car head light was functional. When I called up the customer care they asked me the replace the bulb and then they would refund. My option is that they should have checked this before delivery to customer 2. The mirror side cover was not present. It gave a very shabby look to the car with all the wire open. Unfortunately the CC rep did not sensitize on this when I said it’s not only your company reputation but also mine when I’m front of my family and relatives. They said everyone would understand as this a rent a car only! 3. The rubber gasket on back door kept coming out throughout the journey, I had to keep fixing it back every time the door was opened. 4. The car tyres were highly inflated to 39 to 36 psi which is more than the car manufacturer recommendation 30 to 32 psi. The car kept bouncing out when driving on the highway. This Could have been dangerous in sharp turns and high speeds. 5. When I called up the CC for some queries related to the car, it would automatically cancel saying please WhatsApp for quick response. But when I sent a WhatsApp, the reply comes after a day after and after reminders. I would not go for this car rental company again and neither recommend anyone to go with it

Had a horrible experience. The delivery of the car was delayed by two hrs which lead our trip to start late. The reason for the delay in delivery was that the delivery executive didn’t have the courtesy to check the vehicle properly. Initially when the vehicle was delivered all the tires expect 1 were all flat. When we denied to accept the car, he got the tiers changed and gave us the car after 2hrs. As we were in a hurry due to the covid restrictions we had to take the delivery. But within 2km of driving the vehicle, the AC stopped working, the window switch was faulty, the music system never came to life. Hence we couldn’t continue our trip with the vehicle. Had to drop it off at a relatives place and take their vehicle and go instead. The company never cared to replace or fix the vehicle nor provide us a refund or compensation for the trouble we had faced. Reply: Booking ID: WCBLR0621-1508 While booking we were convinced by the customer support guy to consider for EON. But a day before the delivery we were told that due to some technical problem with the vehicle they will be swapping it with Swift. Ultimately the swapped vehicles also turned out to be nothing less than worst. Inspite of mentioning explicitly that our trip was to a hill station and the season being monsoon please provide a vehicle in good condition but looks like the safety of the customer is the least the priority for the company.

I had a really pathetic experience on the rental service. First of all when I took the rent of the XUV 300 for 5 days for 16900 and 1500 extra for deposit, the person who handed over the vehicle to me did not informed anything about vehicle specifications. Once I asked him then he said that he doesn't know exactly. After that when I drove the vehicle, the vehicle broke down in the middle due to clutch issue and then I contacted them but no help was provided. In the end I had to tow the vehicle to their centre that costed me 3000 rupees. Then over at their office the staff said that I needed to pay 34000 for the clutch issue, which after negotiation came down to 8000 but that too after hours of discussion. I just asked them one question , that is the clutch issue not part of the car's internal issue. For which one executive said it is part of internal and other one said external and then later both of them switched their statements and started asking for money. I had to give them 8000 rupees. Later , I asked them to cancel the remaining 4 days of booking for which I asked if they could deduct 2 days money and then give a refund for the rest of the 2 days but there was no response. Everyone who is thinking of taking rent, do not opt for wow carz service they are just looting people in the name of car rental service. I had a really pathetic experience with them

Most of their reviews are fake. Do not fall for it. I booked a vehicle in Bangalore. First they called asking to pay 500rs extra for delivery (1000rs were charged earlier for airport pickup) saying airport is far from their warehouse. - When the car was delivered, it was in a very poor condition with cracks and dents all over. - I wanted to cross the border for which toll tax had to be paid. I realised that the fitness and insurance were expired. On calling and chasing them for 5 hours, they sent renewed insurance but no fitness. They said they ll fill the toll on my behalf. They asked me to pay 171rs after which I saw the receipt of toll tax only required 71rs. On asking they said 100rs is convenience charge! - The wiper was not working. It rained and in the middle of highway, late in the evening it started raining and wiper did not work. I literally had get out every few mins and wipe the glass with a napkin. On complaining, for three days they kept on saying the concerned department will call and trip ended while no one called. For long distances, I had to use Uber with the fear of rains and being stuck with the car where wipers do not work, it is life threatening. And now no one has still called for refund of the security deposit, I am still chasing. Very poor service to say the least. Please do not go for this company.

TL;DR Please go through sole reviews instead of just looking at their 4.5 rating which is completely fake. Worst experience ever. Please never take a car from these people. They will scam the living hell out of you. Took a car from them in July. It was a swift AT, the condition of the car was decent to begin with, let alone minor brake squeal, some paint work damage and a big dent at the bottom of 1 door. I took this car for 2 days, and returned it in the same condition as was given to me. These people started blaming for some minor scratches on 1 of the doors that had their logo printed and started to ask for 19k to get those fixed. They even detained us there and some manager guy was threatening to hit us. They kept us there for 2 hours saying that cops are on the way and didn’t let us leave. In the end we had to call the police. With the cops there we agreed to pay roughly 6k (down from 19k which they were asking), for the damages that can be repaired at a body shop for less than 500rs. Keep in mind those scratches were already there when we got the car, that’s how they scam people.

Most pethatic people I have ever met in any kind of service sector, they are rude , ruthless and worse people. I urge people to never take the cars from them. Car images I posted will discricbe the story itself. They take 100% advance payment while booking itself, while making the booking I told them to change the tyre from Stepney since tyre was wornout and car was not clean from inside, they said it will be neat on delivery, their team will change the tyre also. But while delivering the car same flat tyre with very less air pressure and dirty car from inside. I asked delivery boys ,why did you guys not checked these things , they said we don't know , you wanna take the car take it else will take it back. They were absolutely ruthless, we had no option 6am in the morning to take the car in same condition, since they had taken 100% advance payment. Even security refund came back after one month after regular followup. Pls do not take care from them. #selfdrivingcars #unprofessional

I experienced the worst service possible from any self drive car rental operators. I have booked a swift manual car(97k driven) and picked it from Mysore Airport. The car has several issues including the cracking noise from the cabin, seat noise and worst of all the steering wheel had a huge issue even the delivery executive pointed this to me but I didn't had any other option than taking this vehicle as I was rushing. However my trip went smooth but when I returned the vehicle at the airport the executive mentioned I damages the front fender a bit and I need to pay 5500rs for that. Shocking, first of all I didn't check that area when I was taking the delivery(huge mistake from my side). Please check the attached image. Nobody will charge this kind of money for that. I was rushing to catch the flight so ended up paying the money as executive was kept on saying if I didn't pay they are gonna deduct it from his salary. It's clearly cheating and looting.

Editing my review because the customer support is actually pretty bad. I have been behind for my security deposit but there has been no initiative taken, they tried to slap double penalty charge for fastag even though I have followed their terms and conditions, for which I raised the fact that it was wrongly being added. After this, they've been ghosting me. Today, their customer care is just non-functional, the number doesn't go through. These people are very active before booking (i.e. before they get your money) but they will deliberately drain your energy for the security deposit so that they can keep the money from the people who don't follow-up as much. They are probably better than zoomcar in terms of pre-booking customer service but there are high chances of your money getting stuck, so please consider that before using their services. ~ An extremely frustrated customer

To start with the positive experience. I booked a TATA Nexon xz+ from morning 5:30 am to 11:30 pm. Requested centre to give the car early so that i do not walk up early in the morning. I must say they said ok to it and i got the car in 30 mins mind you the call was at 2 am in the morning 3:30 hrs before the actual start time. Now the actual trip started at 12:30 pm in the day. Draw backs: the car started giving problems like the steering wheel was too hard, the clutch was too tight etc. And the car just stopped because of the battery issue. But the guys from wow cars came to rescue. I only have one issue with wow cars they should service the cars at the right time. It was a very disappointing experience for me and my wife.

We rented a car from wow cars last week. Not sure if their policy is messed up or they are big time scammers. We had been told that the car needs to be returned back with half the amount of petrol capacity which equates to 5 bars in the petrol meter display. We filled petrol but the petrol display meter wouldn't budge from position of 4 bars. We were told at the petrol pump that the petrol tank is full. We got back to wow cars to return the car and informed them of the same. And asked them to refund for the extra petrol we paid. They said their policy does not allow this and they refused to get the car checked for glitches. We ended up paying 3k for petrol which we weren't required to. Big time looters.

We booked the car in August 12/13th. While handing over the car back to them, the documents we submitted wasn’t returned. They have reasons such as it’s a Sunday and office is closed and documents will be sent the very next day. Since that day we are following up and every time there was excuse. Later they sent a a photo of courier envelope with no tracking Id, stating we will be sending it now. But still no update post that, no reply. Finally we called again and they said we will check and get back. When they got back they are asking us if we need document, we should dunzo it ourselves from their office. Pathetic customer support and not a trust worthy services.

GREAT service by HARISH SANTHOSH VINODH. Hired HONDA BRV for one day and this is my second visit at WOW CARS. Honestly speaking I called Harish 5 o clock in the evening and wanted to book for 8pm same day and Luckily I got the car on time. One odd thing about my journey is there was a break issue in the car and I request you guys to don't loose up the interest and meantime keep up the Rap what you have got right now and carry the same good and friendly service to all who finds WOW CARS as their Destination with well serviced cars. Recently we have tried a self drive car in bangalore location, we have booked Safari for 4 days, the booking process was quite good, but the documents process took quite long and finally we got the confirmation, we have opted for the delivery in the airport, the executive called us before dropping the vehicle and he picked us from the airport due to parking restriction, the handover process went well, they have explained us about the terms and condition. Finally we received the car in good condition. We had a good time with our family. We highly recommended Wowcarz.

The car they provided was in pristine condition and drove like a dream, which added a lot of comfort and convenience to my trip. The staff was friendly and helpful, answering all my questions and ensuring I had a hassle-free rental experience. I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking both excellent service and high-quality cars for their rental needs.

I had taken the Wow car, details below. At delivery of the car, I was asked for my original documents. Now, Wow car team is telling me that the document is lost. I was getting numerous calls in the evening that what is my name on my document and then customer care executive came and told me that document is misplaced. Now picking guy has come, already 2 hrs late when I’m tired and wanted to sleep, is not having the original document of mine and wants the keys back. I have no clue on what to do. I was not here for this. I was on vacation.

We had booked a Celerio automatic and Polo last month. They were very unreasonable about collecting personal documents. They were highly insistent on taking my original Aadhaar card and keeping it till I returned the cars two days later. I objected very strongly against this. Then they took away the cars in spite of collecting the delivery receipt. They responded only after I went to the nearby police station. The Polo engine leaked fuel by the way during the trip. all in all I will not recommend this company.

They are scammers. I paid 1500 for security deposit. But when they refunded, they claim 1000 for scratch. Nor the person who took the car back said anything about this while returning and nor did I receive any formal communication during next 15 days of the ride completion. Randomly I get a mail with the deduction once the partial refund is done after 15 days. Don't waste your money here, this is a SCAM. And the only thing they will do is loot your money to fill in their pockets. FRAUD!

It was not a good experience at all. Met with a small accident, no help or support from their end when I was out of station. I had to manage everything. Had to pay hefty amount for small damage. For security refund I need to call multiple times and they take too much time to even tell the refund amount. After you return the car they won't send any email regarding refund, you need to follow up or else you won't get your money back. Book at your own risk. Hated It.

We have booked a car from long back with zoom but last our booking was cancelled with no reason, hence our trip was planned so we were looking for car rental service in Bangalore we came across wowcarz immediately we contact their customer service over the phone they have assisted us for booking, in the last moment they helped to book and we have received the car in good condition and we enjoyed our trip. Completely inhuman customer support. They immobilised our car in the middle of the highway when we were cruising at 80 kmph and that too for a petty fine that they immediately forced us to pay. Never ever go for such car rentals. They don’t deserve to be called humans. The harassment and the steps they took to extract money out of us can lead to serious attempt to murder charges. I again want to stress, IF YOU LOVE YOUR LIFE, DON’T RENT A CAR FROM THEM

Hopeless service, absolutely unprofessional customer care and rude staff . Wouldn't recommend them at all. I had a very bad experience hiring from them recently and regret it. They have no value for your time. My requested car was delivered 1 hour late and they were trying to justify it instead of being regretful about the delay caused by them. Person who came to deliver the car had no idea about the location causing further delays !!

One of the worst experience and scams faced. Rented a car in Mysore,paid 1500 deposit, when returned, there were 2 to 3 very invisible minor scratches in the chase below since it was hill area. For that they charged 3500 Rs for whole bumper painting which will cost 300rs at Max. I will be posting a video of the incident with the executive in social media very sooner. Pls don't get scammed by the looks and posts on wow carz.

Worst Experience ever..perfect way to ruin your holiday is to book wow car self drive service. They took full payment 1.5mths ago for an automatic new model and yet on day of travel sent a different non automatic old model car. Still standing in balcony and waiting for car at 6 am agreed time and the car driver is another 1 hr away! Pathetic service and worst CM experience ever. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Would not recommend them to anyone. They are just on the lookout to extort money from customers citing excuses that we have caused scratches and dents in the car and they ask for outrageous amount for even a minor scratch. Better try other reliable car rental providers who are not there to loot. These guys will never get any repeat customers with this kind of attitude.

Scammers they are! There was some problem with their meter which I think was rigged. The petrol meter would not go above 5 bars even when petrol was full. We also asked them to go together to the petrol pump where they can re check that the tank is full but they did not go. At the end we had to pay 3k extra for the petrol we filled. Not recommended at all.

Worst car rental experience I have had till date. It was in Mysore. These people blamed me for previous damages under the car and took about 3k extra for repairs and did not return the advance also. I have already written you email regarding this and got no response. So stop acting like you care, by asking the booking ID etc.

Recently got a car on rent from wowcarz. Car's insurance had expired , fitness had expired apart from the other nags the vehicle had. The call centre had no clues and had only one answer : " we will get back". Extremely poor experience and driving a car without insurance is dangerous and is against the law.

I have been using wow carz since long...the only worse thing is you have to call them multiple times for your deposit. Everytime you call them they say..sir wait till Monday I have booked car on 28 Oct and still waiting/calling them for Deposit.
