Updated Review 17/01/2024 Disgruntled views of service user taken seriously. My assessment has gone from one star to five! I am pleased to report that the organisation contacted me promptly after I left my original review. I genuinely feel that my experiences, and concerns that occured during my daughters wake have been taken seriously by Selhurst Park. I feel assured that my feedback, and contributions to their internal review will positively affect the services they provide. The entire experience left a bitter taste in my mouth, but I can honestly say that I am a lot happier with the outcome. It won't bring my daughter back, but the lessons learned are invaluable. Original post - Poor venue for funeral wake. Do Not use I held my daughters wake in the Malcom Allison room at Selhurst Park Stadium on 30th November, as I wanted convenience regarding hall, caterers, licenced bar, unrestricted parking for mourners, and an aesthetically pleasing space. However, it was extremely disappointing, and added significantly to my stress and grief. They were not ready to receive us, despite me informing them that we would start arriving at 15.00. They were still setting up the hot beverages at 15.45, and the TV screens were not working to display the slideshow we had so lovingly prepared to celebrate my daughter's life. They were able to rectify this issue after approximately 2 hours. The staff were not rude, but they were extremely uncooperative and obstructive, at the request of the person managing my daughter's wake. Prior to booking I was told that they would provide takeout containers for mourners to take remaining food home, providing I signed a disclaimer, which I did. They said they were going to throw away food, as it had been taken from the kitchen. The dj ended up buying containers from Sainsburys, as staff put some out, then removed them under the manager's instruction. I was also told that there would be a staffed cloakroom, and mourners would receive tickets/tags to identify their coats. This only happened for approximately 30 mins, then the cloakroom was left unattended. I complained to both the manager of the evening, and the person who organised the event, both verbally and by email. Their extent of an apology was to give me a bottle of proseco. This was an insulting, paltry gesture, considering I spent 3,840 with them to make the event special. The funeral of a child is the most heartbreaking experience for a mother. This venue was the most expensive I looked at, which was £48 per head. They need to stick with corporate, organisational or workplace events, where compassion, empathy and sensitivity are not required. DO NOT use them if you're paying yourself, and are not able to recoup the funds via tax breaks. I would not recommend them to anyone organising a personal event, particularly for the death of a child. Date of experience: November 2023

Great stadium overall. Didn't wait long to enter, well organised upon entry! As a first-time visitor, I wish I had known about the great deals they're running on food, I would have arrived early and got sorted. Instead I left it to half-time, which was total chaos queuing, and the items we wanted to order were sold out. Missed some of the match because of this. The queue didn't seem to be moving at all, a lot of room for improvement on processes for a quick grab-eat-go. I did notice that the stadium was quite family friendly and people felt comfortable bringing their kids. In general, this stadium minimises its impact on the local community. Litter is cleared quickly, considerations are made for businesses such as Sainsbury's (who close around match times) and extra police presence does make things go smoothly. The stadium is definitely in need of an upgrade, but I think for the ticket price, it was okay. Didn't use the bathrooms but the queue seemed to form quickly and not be moving. Great atmosphere overall for the game!

Awkward to travel to (2 trains for me) considering its actually not that far. Selhurst Station with its one entry/exit point can be a nightmare but it's a 10 minute walk from the stadium. The ground itself is OK. Plenty of staff making it easier and quicker to get in. Access for wheelchair users is limited though. There are food and drink points within the stadium but personally the Sainsburys next-door offers better value and obviously a bigger selection. The main issue we found was the lack of facilities for women supporters. The ground is geared up for men and as yet hasn't really adapted enough for women or families. As today's game was the Women's League Cup Final it was a little disappointing that the venue wasn't fully family compliant.

A classic old football stadium and love visiting as an away fan as you can't beat the original stadiums . Personally I think the atmosphere from the so called 'ultra's' is quite funny as its nothing like what they sell it as on the radio or TV , it's more a 50-100 or so lads trying to get the rest hyped up which i can only respect their efforts but its not an entire end , hence the reason the camera regularly has to zoom in on them . People around here seem down to earth and never experienced any issues as an away fan . Certainly worth ticking off the list if you get the chance .

Away stand is terrible and in much need of a complete refurbishment. The view is very poor with a giant steel walkway blocking most of the view of the opposite stand. Food was cheap but beer was poured from cans! The toilet steps are intentionally built only wide enough for 1 person to come up or down at a time causing long queues. Staff are slow and useless. Very elderly woman took ages to find cider on the system (despite there only being 1 beer and 1 cider available to buy). She then gave me beer instead of cider!

In my opinion, the worst Premier League ground in England for away fans (I know I've been to them all). I never understand how it continues to receive a safety certificate when one can't move on the concourse because it is so congested. Add to that the views for those at the back of the away stand are awful (you can't even see the far side of the pitch). The only consolation is that Spurs usually win there!

It's April 3rd, 2022 and it's a London Derby. Had a Blast! Got lost in the Train Station and got some help from some Eagles Fans. Now even though it was unusual, They noticed my Atlanta United FC Logos and praised that we can draw such big crowds every week. The Chants are incredible and I can hear the passion of the Fans. I also met AFTV who I'm a Big fan of (even though I'm not an Arsenal Supporter)

Amazing experience doing the stadium tour with my 3 boys which was given to us all as a gift. Jane who was our tour guide is a credit to the football club and the fact she bleeds red and blue made the experience even more real as you felt even closer to the whole experience. Great stories, behind the scenes and close up of the pitch was excellent. Highly recommend!

Older EPL stadium and home of Crystal Palace. Must see if you are a fan of the Club. Beware that it is an older stadium and operates as such - tight seats with sometimes obstructed views. Cramped concourses and facilities. Arrive early to get to correct entrance and in as there is a line. Home crowd is usually in good voice and very entertaining for a soccer game.

Nice nostalgic old style ground. I took the Everton official fans down. Treated very well by all staff I spoke to. Especially the club shop the lady in there was so helpful. Not to bad to get to at all from the North West and parking up was a breeze. Another ground ticked off my list. Shame it wasn't to watch my own team there though

Atmosphere is fantastic. Great old stadium. Three of the four stands have great views but if you are in the upper tier of the Arthur Wait Stand (Park Road side), your view is obstructed and you can’t see the entire pitch. Fans were brilliant and didn’t care. Stayed loud and loyal the entire game. Well worth the visit.

A classic ground with old school pillars supporting the roof. It's not been improved with modern LED boards or rebuilding. Just designed to get a load of people in the home end, which is all part of the show. Watching the Palace ultras is part of the experience. Without the fans it wouldn't be anywhere near as good.

Always a good atmosphere here, but as an away supporter it’s not the easiest ground to reach, and when you get there the stand is awful. In many visits I’ve never managed to get a seat with a decent view. The slope is too shallow, there are posts, and away from the front the low roof is restrictive.

  • Tom Franks

Brilliant afternoon out watching the Eagles. The ground is accessible and has great facilities, the Palace ale and chicken balti pies help stave off the south London winter breeze. I don't know how the away fans feel about the stadium, but Palace home fans are very proud of their stadium.

Always great fun, been going on a off all my life. Obviously it's one of the oldest football staidims in the league but for me that's the reason the place is different to the standard bowls you get today. Parking can be awkward, best to park about a mile out and walk or use the train.

  • James Gordon

A really nice tight and small ground with Premier league football always busy and sold out on a match day. Get there early to avoid missing the start of matches. Closest trains stations are Norwood Junction and Selhurst Stations. The stadium is due for a redevelopment soon.

  • Rupert Wieser

I did not know that this club and stadium even exist. After Ted Lasso, I have been to the stadium and it’s really cool. A small Premier League club (Crystal Palace) fighting against the big ones. Like in the series! Hoping Crystal can go to Champions League soon

  • Andrei R

A fantastic stadium with a brilliant atmosphere. The only problem with watching football is that the view of the pitch can be partially obstructed by a pillar in front of you. Note that this picture was taken in the away fans section.

Things have changed since the last time i visited 40+ years ago. Facilities for away fans are reasonable. Parts of the stadium need updating especially the stand we were in. All told a decent stadium.

  • Dale Feeney

Without a doubt the worst stadium I've been to. Overhead gantry blocks a third of your view when sat in the upper 10 rows, seats falling apart and the half time pie was vile!

  • David Pengelly

A cold and wet night in early Jan but we had a great time. Found the ground easy to get into and out of. Limited food options available at halftime, which was disappointing.

  • Jon Grainger

Im a Chelsea fan but this is a decent stadium. All the staff were lovely, friendly & helpful. A credit to Crystal Palace. Seating a little cramped but still had a good time.

  • Timo NL0007

Unique stadium with great atmosphere in the middle of an urban area. Only small downside: it is not very easy to get to compared to other stadiums in and around London.

  • Adam Fields

Easy 15min walk from Selhurst Stn. Good seats close to the halfway line allowed excellent views of most of the action in Spurs 2-1 victory over The Eagles.

  • Geoff Miller

Five stars for the team and fans, three for the grounds. In the north east stands you probably want to be row 35 or lower for a mostly unobstructed view.

  • Jijan Uddin

Was here recently to watch Crystal Palace play against Everton in the FA Cup. I had a great time here. The atmosphere when it was full was amazing.

  • Saheed Sadiq

Nice atmosphere! First time at Crystal Palace stadium. The place is ready for the Premiership kick off 2023/24 season. Lovely pitch, beautiful!

  • Tung Nguyen (Sanji Skywalker)

Needs modernisation. All those pillars (Arthur Stand) restrict your view. Hot chocolate is basically hot water with a few dust of cacao powder.

  • Sam Brown

Stadium is pretty dated and its congested everywhere you go, but atmosphere is second to none in London. Worthy of a visit

  • Steve Rayner

Great atmosphere and good value drinks and food. Just a shame that I couldn't see much of the pitch and we lost 3-1!

  • 1st time dad

Watching crystal Palace v Everton..always a great atmosphere in this stadium..staff are very friendly and helpful..

  • Mary Canning

What an experience, what a beautiful stadium. So well looked after with welcoming and friendly staff.

  • Vasco

Amazing atmosphere great view of the match from wherever you sit but the entrance is questionable.

  • Mauro DB

Best venue in south London, famous for the great atmosphere and for the great support! SE25 proud

  • Stuart

Went to an fa cup midweek game which was a pretty poor game. The seats were good though

  • Daisy Hollands

Result was disappointing but the view from the Holmesdale is unmatched. Home. ❤️ …

  • Howard Sewell

Classic old-school football ground with the best atmosphere in the premier league.

  • Owen Wilkinson

4 sheds with a faint sound of a drum. Very poor. Would NOT recommend.
