Serafina is absolutely fantastic. The coffee is wonderful and the pastries are great. They have a small food menu but the choices are perfect to have with your drink. They also have other drinks such as tea and lemonade. The environment is great as well and it gives me great vibes because of the music choices and the decor of coffee shop. They roast their beans fresh and the coffee is organic. The employees are fabulous as well and I had the pleasure of meeting Brianna and Miranda who took care of me and made it a wonderful coffee experience. Im the type of guy who loves to experience neat places to bring my wife and son and it is a place that I will definitely bring my family again. My son loves the pastries so your kids will not be left out. Also it is a local coffee shop that gives the pleasant customer service that most corporate chains (like Starbucks) do not offer. The one thing that put the icing on the cake was that they have a rewards system which is absolutely fantastic. I rate this place 5 stats. Great job Serafina!!!!!

We got the honey lavender latte (iced), which may be a seasonal specialty. It was quite good and actually tasted like real honey, which is more than I can say of several others we tried. I had the Aztec mocha (iced), which was nice and zesty without being too sweet. The chocolate croissant they had was very good. I myself got their coffee cake. It was not quite like anything I had ever had before. The cake base was extremely light and fluffy, while the top layer was a solid mass rather than crumbly like other coffee cakes. The whole thing tasted a bit like Lucky Charms marshmallows, which was weird. Next time I would probably get something else. I heard the almond croissants they have there are very popular, but unfortunately when we went, they were all out. Anyway, overall a good experience! Great vibe, old brick walls, probably a good place to sit with a laptop and some music. No bathroom as far as I could tell, so be warned.

Right off the Phoenix light rail, in Downtown Phoenix (near the 1st and Jefferson stop) this is a lovely coffee shop with a hip, big city vibe. Built in one of the historical buildings one wall is uncovered old brick work , and sitting there and working (great Wi-Fi speed) was like being in New York City as you could watch the light rail go by outside the door. I thought the coffee was great and they have solid pastries (I have the blueberry muffin topped with slivered almonds. They open at 6:30 am so if you are near the rail and are a full-time telecommuter like me, this is a nice place to go and do some work away from home. I loved the diverse mix of people who came through the door - a great post-pandemic experience. If one is visiting Phoenix, this is a great place to go one morning to sip a java, sit back, and to see the variety of people in downtown Phoenix on any given day.

Shout out to the two baristas behind bar today, it’s always a breath of fresh air to be greeted by kind people. Honestly, that’s one of the most important things to me, even more than the coffee itself. That being said, I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and a sugar in. It was pretty tasty. The espresso had a very chocolate-y flavor to it but which paired well with the oat milk and sugar. There was a hint of bitter smokiness but not to the point where it made me want to not finish it. The ambiance was incredible on a Thursday morning at 9 am. I love the space and the music playing. Super chill. Perfect morning vibes. Thanks for being here

Two days two wrongly made coffees. While traveling my thing is to try local roasters and their coffee. My one vice. We went and one the first day ordered and I asked for mine to be x hot. A new girl was training and the experienced barista told her to make sure it was x hot. It wasn't. Luckily we were going straight back to our lodging so I nuked it. However my husband liked his and the flavor or mine was amazing. Even though it was out of our way we decided to go back as we headed out of town. I asked for the same flavor as day 1. So disappointed as it had absolutely no pumpkin spice flavor at all and no spice on top. Tasted like warm milk. Won't be back next time through. Inconsistent.

I can't believe how amazing the coffee is here. They add cinnamon during the roasting process to give it an incredible flavor. Since I have moved to PHX I have noticed that the coffee culture is pretty much non existent on the south side so I am really grateful to have found this place. You have no idea how nice it is to be able to sit down in a shop, use the wifi and relax to a cup of coffee without getting treated like you have the plague just for trying to order something. Since coming to PHX I have been not allowed to eat in, refused service entirely because I don't own a vehicle, and given service but not allowed to use the restroom. It's nice to be treated like a human being again. I'll be coming back here as often as I can.

Edit: left an honest review here trying to be kind and highlight the positives while informing coffee geeks. I’ll let the owner’s response speak for itself Cool old 1926 building with original brick and open ceiling. Was pretty sweet-lookin! Owner was chill, and very friendly! Appreciate that a lot. My bro and I got a cappuccino. We’re pretty “third wave,” so that said, this coffee was super dark and the foam was a bit overwhelming, but if you like standard coffee from most places then you’ll dig this spot too. Noticed it was mostly 35+ year olds coming here. This is obviously not remotely a bad thing. But it was catered more to that generation in my opinion! Was cool meeting the owner — keep doing your thing brother!

First impressions as I walked in were great. The decorum is minimal, yet welcoming. It has a warmness about it, making you confortable and relaxed. Their coffee, as per the nane, is roasted in-house and is sustainably farmed. The barista was very kind and positive, a welcome addition to my experience, especially during these uncertain and uncomfortable times. I asked her to surprise me with a drink and it was pleasantly created. It had a rich, earthy taste that went down smooth. Cookies were displayed at the bar, tempting me into one, but I resisted. All in all, a very pleasant experience and I will definitely be back.

The coffee is divine. I ordered the white chocolate lavender from here two years ago and it was amazing not too sweet or bitter. The coffee is so smooth. I ordered from their spring menu the pistachio rose latte and it smells and tastes just as good as the white chocolate lavender. This is the best coffee spot in Phoenix. I had deducted a star two years ago, because the hours are for businesses workers downtown only. Parking downtown makes it again to go out of your way.

Recently visited for the first time and was disappointed that the shop was no longer playing Last Christmas on repeat, though I suppose I’m a month late for that. Despite the lack of one of the holiday’s greatest hits not being played over and over again, my experience here was excellent! Customer service was extremely friendly, and also quick. The list of fun seasonal drinks were hard to choose from, but my eventual choice of the gingerbread cold brew was quite tasty. Most of all, the prices were fantastic! I can’t wait to stop by again soon.

Espresso and other drinks ranked high. This is a legit coffee shop. Dog friendly. That got it the 4 stars. Would have given it 5 but there was something missing in the vibe. Seeing the response to the non-favorable reviews, I can see I won’t bother trying to explain. If you want a decent legit cup o’joe, this is your place. (out of 5) only one table outside but that’s not the only dog table

Unimpressed. The staff was not friendly. Their cold foam machine was broken. And there was little to no personal interaction when ordering coffee. Instead of asking what size, they hold up a small and ask if that size works for you. They also don’t let you know the creamer is on the coffee bar - not an issue when you have the time to look but just the small details. Wouldn’t return.

This spot is great for my morning Carmel macchiato! Staff is friendly! Great service! Fresh roasted and ground coffee. The machine is in the store and it's cool to watch when they use it. They play good music. Nice spot and they have pastries and a variety of other drinks but I've only had coffee. Reasonable prices and you can get points that add up to free drinks.

I am so glad that I stopped here on a Friday morning when they were open. The cafe miel was delicious, and the staff were SO friendly. Honestly I was having a bad morning and the staff interaction alone turned my day around. Will definitely be back whenever I visit Phoenix next.

Large latte was delicious. They roast the beans right there in the cafe daily. They were roasting a batch as I was grabbing my coffee. Great roast on the beans. The latte was rich and had a lot of depth and flavor. Staff was nice and friendly, smiles and greetings all around. Had to wait in line a bit because they were busy, but the line moved along well. All around great experience.

During my first visit, the staff were helpful and understanding. I also came in with a small rush of people and they were quick with everyone! Definitely going to visit again soon!

As I do with any new coffee shop I go to I always get the cold brew but after noticing their seasonal menu I should've got one of those because they all seem great. Well I have more reason to come by now and trying their seasonal coffees :). Staff were cool and the vibe nice and cozy. Gotta come back.

I always try to find a local coffee shop when I travel. Serafina made the best latte I have ever had in my life! I got a S'mores later, sugar free with coconut milk. I am bummed I was only in town for a day as I would have loved to come back and try other things. The girls working the counter were also super friendly.

Beautiful coffee shop/roaster in one of downtown Phoenix's oldest remaining buildings...the Luhr's Tower. The architectural design of the building down to the smallest details are remarkable! Back to the coffee...it is strong and fresh and the staff have been incredible every time I have visited.

  • Rick R

My first time in. Had their Cafe Cubano. It was pretty sour, so I'm not sold yet. It was my first drink there so I'm not giving up on them. I love the way it's set up and decorated and the big, creative menu. Ill be back to try more soon.

Such great coffee. Current favorite coffee spot in Phoenix. Usually get a pour over or a basic espresso drink and always satisfied. Staff is great and warm. Space is great to hangout and work when space is available. Nice with the one long table if you have the need to spread material out.

  • Mark Martinez

I love this place. I go 5 times a week. But today they ran out of coffee? Lol how does that happen? I felt bad for the baristas having to be the messengers that they were out of beans. Hope this gets resolved quickly.

I was downtown for a short work stint and had an hour to kill for lunch. I walked around the CityScape area to find somewhere to hang out and stumbled upon this diamond in the rough. Delicious pastries, amazing coffee options, and an abundant amount of seating space.

  • Sabrina Messenger

Very delightful place. A bit of Oregon in the middle of downtown Phoenix. The coffee is tasty and reasonably priced. Their pastries are delicious. Only one complaint. They don't offer any sandwiches during lunch. If they did then it would be the perfect coffeehouse.

  • Barb Rasse

I was staying at the hotel around the corner from Serafina's, and my colleague and I ended up stopping in every morning of our stay. The coffee was delicious and the service was excellent! They had heavy whipping cream to make my coffee keto-friendly, too.

  • Randy Krautter

Just reading through your reviews... “I didn’t open a bathroom, I opened a coffee shop”. LOVE THIS! Coffee is great and conversation with the owner is real and candid. I love this place. It’s chill and always includes a few smiles. Keep up the good work.

  • B.S.C.

Nice fresh tasting espresso, from their on-site roster. Not quite as strong of a flavor as I prefer, but it was flavorful and smooth... Not sharp or at all bitter. The roasting machine in the seating area gives a great aroma when it it running! More

Here in Phoenix from out of town and decided to set up my office here for the day. The two people working were incredibly kind and hospitable. The place was packed and they served everyone with a smile on their face. Great coffee, relaxing

  • Kristina Davison

The honey lavender latte - iced - is absolutely the best iced coffee on this planet. Also agree with other reviewers that the in-house roasting is evident in the full flavor and overall lack of bitterness, and the scent (heavenly). And,

Went with a basic cappuccino. It was great. Limited seating, but almost every table had an outlet. I was able to charge up and check emails. I will be back.

Went in a couple days ago and they were playing Last Christmas by Wham! on repeat, which I thought was hilarious. Better than that Mariah Carey song . Delicious coffee and wonderful people! I go as often as I can! …

This place is awesome! Great smooth iced coffee, the avacado toast had more salt than I liked but it still was yummy. Employees are super welcoming and friendly. No parking validation so be aware...ride your bike maybe?

  • Joe Tsai

Wasn't in the mood for coffee, tried their iced green tea as well as the red mango. Both are great for a hot day! As far as pastries, all the options are basically on the sweet to really sweet sidebof things.

  • Steve McIntosh

Friendly staff, great tasting smooth coffee, and quality baked goods. Top it off with a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. What's not to like?

Their service is good with a smile, a very polite guy whose works there. I got Ethiopian espresso shots it was good, but I like the way of presentation the most. It worth to stop by.

Some of the freshest, tastiest black drip coffee I’ve ever had. And I spend half the year on the road and roast coffee at home. So fresh. So amazing. 100% will be back! More

  • Emily Paige Ballou

At first I thought I was crazy. But when I asked the baristas if they were playing "Last Christmas" on loop just to see how long people could take it, they said yes.

  • Kelsey Farish

Friendly service and great coffee with good options for alternative milks (oat, almond, soy) and flavours, including things like maple cinnamon!
