Didn’t have the best experience with this place. We usually use golden gate funeral home but decided to go with serenity because the facilities were a little more feminine for my mother in laws services with the purple decor. I knew from the initial meeting that it wasn’t going to go well based on how helpful and informative other funeral homes had been before. Things were not explained, and it was not informative at all. We were told a different price the week before due to him not explaining things or making sure we had everything we wanted and needed for the funeral. During the date of the service the funeral started late, the obituaries were not printed on time and the broadcast services were not working so our family that was out of town were not able to witness the service. Definitely would not be using them again. It was a very unfortunate experience.

On November 1, 2018, my family entrusted Serenity with the home going services for my beautiful sister Velina Spearman. Each and every detail of this service was done with the utmost love and attention to detail. It was as if they were handling the services of one of their own loved ones. I could not have prayed for, nor assembled a more astute and professional group of individuals as these. Mr. Adkins, so many places of business are now more about the dollar than the service, but you my friend are a true exception to this rule. I pray for every aspect of success that God can reap upon you and your professional and attentive staff. Never thought in a million years that I would have to be responsible for making sure my father's burial would be perfect. After a long illness and over 20 years of paying for life insurance, I just knew this process would be simple. After finding out that the insurance policy that had been paid for for several year, with the most recent payment being paid only five days prior to his death, to find out the policy was No good and was worthless at this emotional time in our life, we contacted Serenity Memorial who ensured us that they could work with us to ensure that my father's burial would be nothing less than memorable. They were sensitive and understanding to our needs and our situation. Despite our financial mishap, we were treated like a million bucks from start to finish. THANKS SERENITY MEMORIAL CHAPEL.

Top Tier Service! Ryan and the Serenity Funeral Home team are excellent! Upon passing of my girls Zeraieh Bland and Krystle Brown on May 11, 2023. Serenity was recommended by a number of close family members and friends. There were also quite a few calls made to Serenity on my behalf to handle my girls with love and care. Ryan and the Serenity team did not disappoint. I can not say enough about the great service we received from Serenity Funeral Home. They made this a very easy and pain free process. Ryan Strickland was awesome! I don't usually leave reviews, but I have to share my experience with Serenity Funeral Home. Burying a parent is a difficult job, but with Serenity they made it a smooth process. Serenity did a magnificent job from retrieving my Dad's body from the hospital to the burial. Also, the funeral service which was held in their facility was organized and beautiful while following social distancing guidelines. If you need a friendly and professional funeral home for your loved one's sendoff - I highly recommend Serenity Funeral Home!

One week before Thanksgiving my sister in law gave birth to my niece who was stillborn. I called Serenity and the owner was so caring and sensitive to our needs during our time of bereavement, he had even worked around my work schedule. The day before Thanksgiving my family was able to view her, she was such a beauty. The cremation was done and she was shipped to my mother in California. Our expectations were exceeded and then some. The service was great they did a good job the only thing I have a problem with is the drive to the cemetery the officers r supposed to stop traffic so we didn't have to worry about getting into an accident well in this case we had to watch out for cars there was only one officer he was at the front not doing his job we ran red lights almost got into an accident twice one car cut in the line of the funeral line they need to do a better job with stopping traffic while on way to the cemetery

Michael Adkins and his staff did a superior job! They made a challenging time very seamless. From the first meeting to the last part of my mother being taken to the gravesite, my family’s experience was nothing but love, patience, attention to detail, over the top communication and much more. We had My grandmother’s funeral Service with serenity today. The staff was very professional and caring. It was a very beautiful service. They were very consoling to the family without being over bearing or annoying. It felt like they were there for us. They even help load the flowers after the service and provided us with thank you cards to send one less thing we have to do. I highly recommend this if you have lost a loved one.

Great service! My wife's funeral service was very nice! Well put organization. They were able to do everything we wanted to make the experience personal. They even added an extra touch of love with their own touch of support at the beginning and end of service and a wonderful surprise that I'll cherish for the rest of my life! I highly recommend Serenity Funeral Home. The staff was kind, supportive and showed so much professionalism. The day of my brothers service I had to make some last minute corrections to his obituary. I called that morning and everything was corrected and ready for his service that afternoon including the programs.

Please avoid this business. Paperwork was not complete and remains were not ready even when giving them 10 days to get everything completed. This company made a difficult time so stressful and I wouldn’t want any other family to experience what we did.

My Mother, Marjorie Washington, had her Home Going Celebration this week at Serenity. It was a beautiful, professionally handled affair. Ryan Strickland Sr. and staff are genuinely caring in providing exactly what a grieving family wants and needs.

Very professional, reasonably priced, gentle and caring. We were given plenty of time and privacy when viewing our loved one pre cremation. The death certificates took a long time but i think that's on the state of Missouri, not the funeral home.

We had a going home service for my mother. Serenity stepped in with professionalism, courtesy, comfort, safety (for covid protection), and understanding. I really appreciate all they had done! I highly recommend them for all your funeral service.

Only 1 suggestion. PLEASE take off the name of the funeral home on the throws you guys have made. Takes away from honoring those who passed on & makes these most beautiful keepsakes look like an "oh by the way" advertisement at the bottom.
