This is absolutely one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had. They are always soooooo delicious. The shack sauce is to die for. The have fries are a good portion and you can get cheese and other yummy toppings on them. If you don’t like burgers, don’t worry they have chicken, hotdogs, chicken dogs, pie, milkshakes, custard, wine, beer, soda lemonades, and even snacks for your pup including dog biscuits and custard (I would advise not feeding your dog the entire portion of custard as it will give them a tummy ache) but I do love the fact that they have outdoor seating so I can bring my pup(: The inside and outside eating area is kept clean and offers shade on hot days. They are located right in the heart of south end and you can get there by walking down the line, taking the train, riding and bike, or driving because there is parking but sometimes tricky to find a spot. But it’s most definitely worth it for their amazing burgers and atmosphere. You have to go here!!

Shake Shack is already an established institution but it's new to these neck of woods in South End. Being nestled in the womb of South End, Shake Shack is within walking distance to & from the light rail, East/West Station, and to all of the other 'LOCAL BUSINESSES (always support locally b/c you can)'. My reason for even entertaining Shake Shack is because during the time, they were doing a By One Get One (BOGO) special that popped up my email. The timing was correct because I have not had dinner yet so it was a win-win for me. I had the following items (see attached photos for reference): Chick’n Shack (*) Crispy chicken breast over lettuce, pickles, buttermilk herb mayo SmokeShack (**) Cheeseburger with Niman Ranch applewood-smoke The service there was lackluster and that's why they get 3 stars instead of 4 stars. It seemed as if the "working" employees at the time were annoyed at having customers. Oh, how do I know? I just do. Vibes and energy are EVERYTHING! Burgers & Bathrooms is what this review is about. Stay with me here... So I had the pleasure of enjoying both here. Was in the area and my group was hungry. We did an online order to get in and out quickly. Unfortunately, I had too many liquids that day so I headed to the restroom while the rest of my group waited with our food (that was ready when promised by the way). COVID-19 is a real "thing" thats here to stay and I can tell this location takes it seriously. I was amazed to see a restaurant exercise social distancing (see pics) down to the T, even in the least thought about place, the bathroom! It's these type of sanitation practices that build my trust as a customer during a pandemic. Now to the food: All the flavor! Fresh ingredients. Presentation. My mind wanted to go back and order another because it was that good. I did manage to snag some photos of 2 of our burgers for your viewing pleasure,, take a look! Placed an order for pick up. Order gave us a time for pick up. We arrived right on time. We ended up waiting another 20 mins. In a place like South End where parking is limited and so busy I drove around for almost the entire time. If they gave themselves a better time system that accounted for their level of busyness then maybe it would help the pick up process. There were definitely other frustrated patrons waiting for a while already. Either way, I don’t mind waiting for good food, but when we popped it open in the car everything was cold. Burger was dried and not well put together and fries had been sitting. To pay that kind of money for a burger and to receive that quality back isn’t much of a satisfying experience.

$21.00 for a burger and chicken nuggets. Outrageously expensive. Smelled amazing when arrived thru the front door. Food was mediocre at best. Fry oil was so dirty it was obvious in the chicken nuggets and my associates fries. A self-service kiosk as a means of ordering? Ok, customer service not a factor. But then the default of a 10% tip for a meal. No human interaction??? Why am I subsidizing your lack of ability to pay a wage to your employees? Tipping is meant for great service and going above and beyond the norm. Not a labor subsidy. The entire establishment was a perfect picture of virtue signaling. Boldly labeled for all to see and admire. Lesson learned.

Was excited to try the mushroom burger but also got the regular burger just in case I didn’t like it. After getting back home I found a long curly hair fried/fused into the batter or whatever on the mushroom burger. I have a buzzcut and trimmed beard. Tried calling in to complain but no one answered. My paranoia wouldn’t allow me to eat the regular burger either so now I have no dinner =) Update: service reached out to me and addressed my concerns. My second experience was pleasant and I enjoyed my meal thoroughly!

Went to Shake Shack and couldn't decide if I wanted to try out the new "hot ones" chicken sandwich or burger so I got both. The chicken sandwich was okay, but nothing special imo.. I actually liked the SmokeShack burger much better. It came with Angus beef n chz, bacon, chopped cherry peppers, and shacksauce on a toasted potato bun. Everything worked well together from the soft n sweet bun, the juicy Angus beef, and the bacon n cherry peppers added much flavor. The crinkle fries were good, fried light n crispy. I will probably get another burger and I guess I should try a shake next time. ‍♂️

We haven't been here in a while. We live near the VA state line and don't get to Charlotte much. It was refreshing to know that the food and service is still great like our previous visits. We have them in Orlando but just haven't had a chance to go. On vacation in Charlotte and decided to finally try it. 1st time trying Shake Shack and it did not disappoint. This is such a great shake shack! I love that it's in south end since it's one of my favorite areas of CLT. Both times that I've visited, we've only had to wait like 15 ish mins for our food to come out. I usually get a shroom burger (since I'm vegetarian), and my husband always gets the chicken burger. We also get plain fries and shack sauce, honey mustard, and mayo on the side to dip our fries & burgers in. Everything is always fantastic & delicious. Love the extra seating area but hate that it's always so cold in there. Definitely recommend this location!

I’ve got to be honest I was surprised at the expensive cost and really unremarkable food. The burger was very salty no flavor, thin Pattie’s…uninspired. I’m sorry but condiments need to be put on the burger instead of packets. The fries were too oily. The chocolate shake wasn’t sweet almost had a bitter aftertaste. This was my first time and last time to this establishment. The service was good and friendly.

Unfortunately I can't review the place beyond they don't care because they let whoever pick up whatever order and they keep the orders out of our reach as delivery drivers but tonight 2 orders got stolen mine and an older lady's and I made the point to tell them they lose us money when they do that because I had a $40 order and that one customer out of the 3 deliveries I had would've brought the biggest help so thank you guys for not checking and confirming people and the fact that you guys know who stole the order

We ordered the strawberry milkshake, ‘Shroom burger, Chicken shack and Chicken bites, fries and spicy fries. Everything was hot and delicious. The only downside was the “spicy” fries were too “spicy” for my husband!

I’ve had a thing for Shake Shack for 6 years. Having tried it in Times Square in NYC the first time after a day of sightseeing. The wait was like 40 minutes but the burger and fries hit the spot! This location in South End is perfect! The employees do their best to be professional and accommodating. I’ll always go to my favorite (the Shack Burger) sometimes the double. You have to get the fries to dip in their simply ketchup (no high fructose corn syrup) for me! Go for it!

Anybody right in this place high is either a robot or something is wrong. Food not worth the price and portions are for children that's it! They give you way less than you pay for and act dumb and laugh at you if you ask about it! I've had a bad experience ordering ice cream here. It's weird, and they use old grease. Hopefully it gets better! Smh

Shake Shack on Camden Road in Charlotte is the place to go! I went with a friend and his kid, my friend and his kid ate a burger and a hot dog. They said they loved both. I ordered a Korean style chicken sandwich, it tasted great! I really liked my cookies and cream shake, I haven’t had a shake that good in a while. The employees were very friendly and very welcoming. The guy I think his name is Vinny made us laugh a little bit.

Clean and staffed are the pros The staff could be a bit better trained and informed. I felt like the cashier had no clue what he was talking about. Even when I asked him what something cost (price was not displayed) he simply replied "I don't know" Can you not look it up?! I pretty much paid 20 bucks for a drink and a single patty burger. This place is not anywhere beat being worth its hype and I'm only being honest.

Great as far as having my app order ready to pick up on time. A little disappointed for the amount of regular fries for the price. Burger was ok. The 50/50 was closer to 75/25 in favor of tea. Nice location but parking just to pick up my order was ALMOST was a challenge. At the end ...didn't totally dislike but just didn't love it.

When Shake Shack first came to town, I could not believe there were lines around the corner. For a burger! We tried it, I like them. But it was after the second or third visit that I realized there is something magical in these burgers. The people there have great attitudes and a friendly. That also makes a big difference. Great crinkly fries and great shakes to make this our go to weekly inexpensive meal.

It was our first visit to this location. You order up front and they bring you the food. We choose to sit outside as it was beautiful out. The food was delivered nice and hot. It had great taste and not expensive at all. Would definitely eat here again when visiting South End.

I've been a fan of Shake Shack for many years and ordered a lot of delivery during the stay at home order in Charlotte. I usually ask for the shack sauce on the side but decided not to for a delivery order one night. When it arrived, the Shack sauce was in the side. Great attention to detail and making me feel like a valued customer. Always delivering quality food and great service.

Its a pretty good place to visit, pretty simple tastes like any normal burger but you can customize something with your burger if you want to remove or add something from their menu. Fries are good too their cheeses fries are delicious and I definitely enjoy it. Decent price too. A pretty good place overall

This is my first time rating a chain food location, but this its a well deserved 5 star from my POV. The place is clean, and the servers are great. Since I work nearby, it's a frequent stop I make to grab something to eat. The food is also great. The service is great and I appreciate Reg and the other workers here. Definitely makes me feel welcome to be new to South End.

this shake shack has always been iffy. My order got taken, and then they replaced with the wrong items ( less than what I had ordered, and how do you not check what the order was?) . Safe to say I don’t go to this location for a reason and I will not be coming back again to this shake shack, if I could give this zero stars I would.

Vegetarians and vegans rejoice! My wife and I tried the new veggie burger and it was so good. We added avocado to it and that made it even better. We also got the 0% dairy chocolate milkshake and that was really good too. So surprising, but we will definitely be back.

The food was excellent. The burgers gave off “smash burger” vibes. We no longer live in Charlotte so there is no place like this or Smash burger where we live. So this was a nice treat. It was a beautiful day so we are outside. There were a lot of people so seats were not as available but it was 100% worth it.

First time at this location. Pretty similar to shake shakes I’ve had in other areas, the only variation I can speak of is the fries had a slightly different taste than normal, they were closer to the taste of a Burger King fry. Either way it was delicious and the staff was very friendly.

Staff very helpful & friendly. I liked the 100.0 grade; it made me feel more comfortable eating there. Great overall experience!
