Michelle brokered insurance for our home and two vehicles. Michelle found great prices, but didn't always return calls and needed multiple calls to enact changes. Our pipe just burst in our recently vacant rental, we called Shaw and Michelle says we don't have a policy. When we bought our new house 18 months ago, Michelle cancelled the policy on our rental without telling us as she 'assumed' we were going to get insurance from elsewhere. I gave two stars as Shaw Insurance was able to broker great prices and we only had dealings with one agent. I can't judge the entire business on one incompetent, disorganized, policy cancelling idiot. UPDATE: Chris Shaw called us back and was willing to meet with us the same day. Our file was transferred to Jeff who was able to set up insurance and explain the new policy. Both Chris and Jeff were personable and apologetic. They explained that burst pipes in a vacant house wouldn't be covered under any policy.

Don't get help from mackenzie with this company. Changes his story on the phone and says something else on email. Ask him for a rate including my home insurance and potential new car I was getting. He gave me 248 and I specified because I make sure to ask ever question cautiously , if thats including my home insurance twice and he said yes. Once I got the new car it was 256. I removed my home insurance since I was moving at the time AND IT WAS STILL 256. He telling me now that I was confused and that the 248 was just my car insurance, when I can swear on my life that he said it was including my home insurance. I wonder why this insurance company doesn't record messages ? Cause that would of been very useful right now

I have been trying to talk to my broker for 2weeks. Called several times and keep being told that they will call me back. I'm not even sure if they sent my last payment, because I received a cancellation notice in the mail. And again I called and he said he didn't know what I was referring to that they sent the money i feel like I've been" Robbed". Called today and once again he "went home early" .got home and called another broker at 6pm and got a new way better policy 300$ cheaper annually all before 8pm. Once they get you they won't work for you to get better rates or policy's . Definitely shop around there are much better brokers in Kingston Ontario.

They are ok 15 yrs only but 39 yr wananessa 1 time i was disappointed in them when i had a car accident and the other person who hit me wrecked my car and i got 1/2 the money for the car i bought off the lot 2014 i paid 27.000 plus tax and got 16.000 and was stuck paying the rest out of my pocket So if i buy a new car again i wouldnt get shaw insurance to cover it they should of fought for all the money i got an old car now and pay alot for it when i have had wanazanea 39 yr not fair

We are so pleased with the service, price and the coverage we received that I am only disappointed we didn't switch earlier. We were 30 year customers of Allstate until they wouldn't cover our new home so we switched all of our insurance to Shaw and are better off for it. Tim's one on one customer service and candor got us great insurance for our home and cars. My only issue of course is that auto insurance in general is such a racket.

Have been with this company for 9 years... in the 9 years, I've spoken to them twice. They don't follow up with their customers or ask if there was any changes etc... it's a, get your business and forget about you company. If you're looking for a broker to be engaged with you and make sure you have the right insurance, this one isn't for you. Shaw insurance is very simple

Jeff was a great help to me today! He explained insurance and my needs accurately, to the point, and in a way I was easily able to understand. I would recommend anyone to at least get a quote. Even if they don't beat your current price I guarantee you won't be let down by the fast, efficient, friendly service.

Tim and his team have been a pleasure to deal with. I've been with this broker for atleast a decade, maybe more. I recently joined the insurance industry and got group rates, and had to cancel my policy. If it weren't for my group rates, I'd stay with Tim and his team, no questions asked.

I’ve called numerous times, emailed twice trying to get a quote for commercial insurance. After waiting a week, I called back and my info was lost. I think they have too many clients and do not want/need anymore. Don’t waste your time with this broker.

Shaw insurance has been great. We switched to them because we heard good things about them and they have not let us down. We always get responses in a timely fashion and if they don't have the answers they will find them.

Lot of bad talk about Michell on one of the reviews. I used Michell for my motorcycle insurance. She rocked. No complaints. Very informative and very honest. Not too sure about the bad review but disregard it.

I will never switch from Tim Hegarty at Earl Shaw. Over the years he has been amazing for commercial , auto and our home insurance. Honest and incredibly knowledgeable as well as friendly.

Heard an ad on the radio about how great this company was. Phones and left a message to get a quote more than 4 days ago still no word from them.
