Service... Courteous friendly efficient staff. Fuel price. It's ideally situated on the main roadat an intersection right close to the tollroad N2 north and south bound, so therefore it is permanently busy. Occasionally there will be queues for fuel, but those vanish pretty quickly due to the efficiency of the staff. The place has clean restrooms and a small quick shop for snacks etc for the road. The truck stop is situated behind, with ample parking space, and plenty turning space for horses with links.
This is my go-to-stop spot when I drive to Durban. The steers team is super amazing! I was traveling to Durban on the 29th of March, and my phone battery died. I had no alternative to charge my phone. So I stopped here and bought something to eat at steers, it was already dark around 18h30. I asked them if they could assist with charging my phone as I needed it for navigation, they assisted me and were so nice to me. So I was sorted in 30 min. Thank you for your kindness!
Stopped at the steers to order dinner. 1st person to help us was brilliant but after that was downhill from there. Got called to say order is ready and was not. Waited around another 15min for 3 milkshakes and 2 cold drinks. Made the 1st milkshake and made a mess on the counter and on herself. Proceeded to clean the area poorly then carried on helping another customer whose order was next. For a family visiting the area we won't be heading back there again soon.
Stopped off here after receiving a SMS that my flight had being delayed by 2 hours. Sat down for a Steers breakfast after filling up with fuel. So glad I "wasted" some of my 2 hours here. The food was excellent and the service even better. I did not buy anything from KFC, however did hear potential customer complaining that they don't offer credit card facilities, hopefully management have sorted this out by now.
Just when you think that service cannot get slower and more unprofessional, hey presto it does. If you want slow, rude petrol pump attendants who look at you like you are trespassing in their back garden then you have come to the right place. Rather wait a little longer and try another petrol station because if you are going on holiday it will make you very grumpy if you use this shell ultra city.
I parked my company truck at Shell north bound to order some meal from Steers in the early hours of Saturday morning on the 26 January,To my suprise when I got to my depot only noticed that 2 wheels from the rear axle of the trailer were stolen. To all people using that place be cautious as there are criminals targeting truck drivers.
Friendly service attendants. Fast service. The Shell city quick shop serves amazing coffee, a definite must try especially for those early morning adventures. Theres a flea market on the opposite side that sells handmade wooden and woven baskets. Be sure to shop around with the Mamas there to get the best price.
A filing station on such a big freeway yet there are lots of vendors, makes people traveling from far feel unsafe. The nice thing is that there is Steers, Fish Aways and Debonairs on the other side of the filing station, nice one to stop for gas refilling, tummy refilling and bladder emptying. …
Absolutely fantastic! We happened to break down on the highway, luckily within a reachable distance of the ultra city, management specifically came to help us to see what we needed and to give us details for a mechanic who could help. We were up and running again! Thank you so much to everyone who helped!
Wonderful réception indeed, friendly staff. Clean restrooms, plenty parking including wheelchair accessibility. Refreshments & fast foods available at moderate prices. Cards & cash acceptable. Use to clicks card for points. Usually trucks park as they wish therefore be careful in your entry & exits....
Have no issue with the station itself, great service, a well stocked up quickshop however it was the kfc that disgusted me very bad, firstly we waited forever for 10 wings which were u spiced and tasted meaty like the Indians say couchy lol. Never going to that kfc again.
It's a normal ultra city. Nothing spectacular except also struggle to find the road to the parking. Finally the parking is a small passage where you will struggle to get in an out especially with a bigger car. But you will find other shops here like KFC, Steers and so on.
We stopped to refuel and hoped to get a take away for the road.Well the staff were far more interested in chatting to the male customers than serving a female customer. Disgusted in the service, one cannot rate the servoce as there was none!
Recently refurbished convenient store at shell ultra city has really made a big difference besides the filling station with competent and friendly staff to fill your car while u buy refreshments for your journey. Very clean restrooms for
Only stopped at the stalls. A far cry from what it was 20 years ago. Only about 30% of the stalls are open and they all mostly sell the same things. A lot more manufactured items than before, not many hand made products. Enough parking.
I had a flat tyre whilst driving home late one afternoon and stopped at this Ultra City. One of the petrol attendants, Petros, kindly helped me to change it. A big thank you to him for doing it quickly and without any fuss …
My feeling is that this place needs a general clean up The service at the take out is quick and friendly but the forecourt needs attention Someone needs to enforce the parking rules as vehicles are parked in any open space available
Diesel prices are atrocious, they really do take advantage of their position on the road. If im not mistaken their diesel was 80c/l compared to garages in Winklespruit or Scottburgh. Don't fill diesel here its just not worth it.
I'm sorry to say that the eating places are looking rundown. And the service not on point. I ordered one beef and one chicken burger and only after I started eating the other burger I realized that they were both beef burgers.
It's a petrol station on the N2 Freeway, south of Durban near Umgababa area. It is both directions, has ATM's, Steers restaurant and restrooms. It also has ample parking bays for those who want to take a resting break.
The petrol attendant on pump 5 Overfilled my tank and then lied, saying my tank is leaking. It has no leak. He accidentally sprayed the fuel to the side of the filling cap. Then I had to pay for his sprayed fuel......
Terrible service.. we waited to be served for a long time to no avail. The attendants were talking so much and then just ignored us. We drove off and spent out money at the Total garage in Scottburgh
Driven into the petrol station ever since I was a kid. Always busy and with great service. Well done to the team that keep this place going. Will always keep stopping here …
The place is in a good location, especially when driving a long distance. I enjoyed the rural look plus the fast food outlets. Very clean and compliant with COVID-19 regulations
We stopped here today on our way further south and the toilets were absolutely disgusting. There were also some foreigners on a tour bus. How embarrassing for South Africa!!
I like stopping here...I never had to wait long for fuel..the food range excellent kfc..steers and a much better dehli....two times better than the shell opp the freeway
The KFC needs to work on thier service. Took them 20mins to prepare a meal for 2 adults & 2 kids. The eating area was very untidy & dirty. Friendly staff is much needed.
Standard garage set-up. Clean bathrooms friendly staff. Well Located. Great little craft market with knowledgeable authentic local crafters selling their hand work.
I have never seen such a small garage. Being the pit stop for people on their way to the South coast, it became so cramped up when number of people made use of it.
Not kept up to standard it was Toilets stank like a "bola" had been burnt in it Steak must have been from oldest cow they could find Not a good experience oversll
Best ladies toilets ever... neat and clean and even have hooks next to the basin to hang your handbag while you wash your hands good food options as well. …
Convenient halfway stop, weather you need to fill up, or just grab some snacks for the road. Just remember to bring your clicks card when fueling up that tank
I called at the KFC, service is fast and the price is the same as all of the other KFCs but the staff are friendly and professional, and the food was superb.
Good service both in-store and on the fuel sales outside. Adequately staffed all the time. A bit of the que for checkout, one more till would fix that.
For the quick stretch and grab a refreshment, knock off that sleepy head feeling and revitilise your senses for an alive arrival at your destination.
Toilet facilities improved on one side of road. No driers installed yet and soap holders not working. The other side seriously needs to be upgraded!
These steers should not exist tellers think it's thier own shebeen with whom they choose to serve, we were mis treat because we dint speak Zulu.
Shell Ultra city is truly a sad state of its former glory. Used to be a pleasure stopping there but now the experience is no longer the same.
Staff still need customer service training.Need to understand customer service .After all without the customer we can close the doors.
Poor service. Petrol attendant disinterested and slow to react to waiting vehicles and more interested in chatting with coworkers.
Very bad experience just purchased a meal only to find that 10 hot wings I ordered is not in packet, and they do not answer phone.
A stop over from the South Coast .Convenient and clean washrooms. No halal food except mamas pies which was very tasty and fresh.
on long trips, happy to see this and stop for a rest room break, stretch the legs, buy snacks and continue safely …
Slow service can wait up to 15min for fuel as attendants are not properly trained and vehicles are left parked in front of pumps
I had a good time here, stopped to fill up the vehicle tank and several human tanks with lovely meals served by friendly people
Stopped for a smoke break and rest room. Place is clean and safe. Make sure your car is locked and valuable items not visible.
I really appreciate your service when I came to top up fuel in my scooter , you treated me like I came with a BMW car.. …
This is my refreshment area during my trip usually drive in for cool drinks fresh air is closed to Indian Ocean I like it.
Worst service I've had, my order was not displayed and it was forgotten until I asked what's going, quick to take my money
Bought 4 cappuccino and was cold, the owner only puts one guy to make and serve and cash up, that's why I got bad coffee
Have what you need in your way to your holiday destination. This is the last stop on the highway, for a very long time!
Had an amazing variety of specialty items - beautiful cakes and interesting sandwiches which you can toast on site.
My last spot before leaving my mom after a lovely visit. Clean toilets, shop is nice and my dog loves this place
Croissants are soggy even though the kitchen has changed hands. Banana bread was nice otherwise a great pit stop
Very bad service have to wait be attendance and after filling up a full tank of fuel didn't clean the windscreen
This petrol station is so good more especially when you have a long drive its is safe and good place to snack.
Nice quick stop on the way down the south coast. Shop is stacked. Bathrooms are clean. Parking is plentiful.
The petrol attendants are friendly. Their convenience stores is okay. The bathrooms aren't very welcoming
A good place to stop over, fuel and refresh. Has restaurants and most of what you would need on a trip
Just like most other rest stops. What's to say except that it serves the purpose and fills your tank.
Staff are friendly and have urgency especially Sbo. It good to have both Steers and KFC for options.
Busy during peak holidays but otherwise a good stop. KFC and Steers on hand for a quick bite as well
Great place for a short stop, has KFC and Steers. The convenience store could be better stocked.
Convinient for traveller's, helped me to get necessities to prevent me from sleeping on my drive
What good prices for a busy filling station! Lovely surprise to get a breakfast for under R40!!
The place is clean, you get gas for your car, and food outlets are there and ATMS are there too
Very convenient service station. Neat toilets provide a good rest stop to freshen up …
Slow service yet this garage is on the freeway and known to deal with traffic of travellers
We stopped for a bite at this place. KFC and Steers. The normal take away at these places.
Customer service was on another level, keep it up.. The petrol is cheap and its quality.
The Steer take away very dissatisfied. Coffe machine broken. No chicken for the burgers.
By far my favourite stop going down to the beach...clean bathrooms and great service...
Waiting for tea was too long.but the lady was very good. She apologized for the delay.
Always a pleasure to stop here and refresh. Restrooms are clean and the food is fresh
Great place to fuel up your cars and shop for snacks while traveling along the N2.
These guys petrol attendants are supper cool very friendly and offers good service
One stop shop and refueling as well as helpful to drivers to take a rest and relax
It's quick stop for refreshing and buying small essential and snacks for the road.
The worst petrol station. Dirty tiolets. No changing station for baby was terrible
Cafeteria is so so expensive compare to other Shell gas stations. It's ridiculous.
The Steers joint always has either dry burgers or over oily or stale fries. …
Great place to fill up. They have a few places where one can grab a meal as well
Always wonderful and safe, also welcoming petrol attendants. Atmosphere is wow
Always stop here on our way to Margate. Can be crowded during holiday season.
Very friendly service as you expect from the South Coast of Kwa Zulu Natal.
Toilet facility, fast food, ATM and convenient store all available 24 hours
Always make a pit stop on long journeys and this is a great place to do so
During unrest was disappointed 3 cars from me was told petrol is finished.
Due to shelter repairs by the garage, there is a delay for petrol service
it's easy to access Always busy especially during Festive and on Fridays
Great service. Homely and has everything for the road. A must stop over
I always love the stop here, no road trip would be complete without it.
Dangerous for robberies car high jackings Not a very safe place to stop
Also no problems. Straight in filled up and out on way back to Benoni.
Beautiful place. Loved the flea markets. All African craft, hand made
Very quick service with a smile. You can park there and grab a bite.
Awesome half way stop to chill and rest before the long drive South
We use to pass that garage every monday they care with their custom
The staff was very friendly and helpful! I enjoyed the experience!
