I kindly warn you to stay away from this group of conmen, this is my story.... We arrived in Mombasa on the 10th August 2015. On arrival ( group of 12, 4 adults 8 children) we were introduced to a letting agent called Munene. He showed us two, 3 bed apartments at Kshs 14,000 each per night. The fees were inclusive of Gas, utensils, working Tv etc. We paid in cash and headed to Pirates beach almost immediately after making the payment. We got back to the apartments at around 6:30pm only to find that the gas cylinder was literally not there in the kitchen, the TV (exposed live wires on sockets) was not working, air conditioning was leaking and the beddings were basically filthy and dirty. This was the same case for both ground floor apartments as they faced each other. We asked to speak to the management unfortunately no one seemed bothered which was very painful as we had paid a total of Kshs 112,000 for the 4 nights we intended to stay for. We couldn't cook as there were no utensils either. We ended up buying take away food an expense that we had not planned for. At around 11.00pm a guy turns up with a gas cylinder and manages to connect TV for one of the apartments. for the 4 nights we survived on the single apartment gas and TV. We requested to speak to the management but very little was done. The agent was no where to be seen and was not answering our calls either. The reason given to us why the apartments were in very poor condition was that a family which was living there before us had left the apartments in that sorry state. Basically they made us have a nightmare of a holiday simply because the people who had stayed there before had left the place in that state. We requested for a refund of our money but the agent and the doggie management refused to refund our money. I advised the manager and the agent that I would post my review but they seemed quite comfortable. Shakira ruined our holiday in Mombasa and I hope that anyone who reads this will use our experience and not end up being a victim of this scam. Thank you

Senior manager of shikara and purple rose appartement is a conmen and just take care about money. Never ever rent something there, prices are very high for the product available. You can look around. Better products and better prices.

What a place to be. Having a good time. It's very affordable, clean, and quiet place. There's a swimming pool as well

Conviniently to shopping malls with swimming pool. Safe parking. All rooms are ensuite with air-conditioning .
