I had no problem with this store, prices were reasonable and staff was efficient. However, I went to the website to check the price for a 12 pack of Pepsi and the site returned a bunch of search results for Pepto Bismol. When you arrive at the webpage for a certain store you will see large buttons to book an appointment, or order a refill, but you also should have a button for Discounted Items and Promotions. This should also definitely include the random items you always hide on a cart at the back to clear for giveaway prices. If a person sees you have a bottle of conditioner left, and it’s only $1.50 … just because it’s the last one left… bro… someone will immediately go to your store, buy it and probably grab a few other things. Your cash register computers can then message the servers so the item is immediately removed from your promotional website and you’ll certainly improve your business. As it stands, those super cheap leftovers are not driving traffic as well as they should! Now if you added an online shopping cart, and offered deliveries for a low price, or even free for orders of a minimum value, there’s another huge income stream. If someone is getting a refill, and they see a small button that says : Do You Need Anything Else From The Store, with a small message saying, Free Delivery… then you can subcontract a courier. This could be a decent revenue stream. Consider the needs of seniors, people in wheelchairs, otherwise immobile patients who need this sort of service. With your already excellent pricing and decent selection of products, you should definitely consider making a strong entry into delivery… Your stores are placed very well to provide rapid delivery of essentials.

Just dealt with their rude, incompetent pharmacy assistant at this location. Not my first experience with unprofessional pharmacy staff here! I went to pick up my prescription at the counter where this young, hotshot pharmacy assistant announced (for everyone to hear) that it’s my ‘stomach’ medication. A good thing it wasn’t ‘STD’ medication but still, no confidentiality despite the signs that request people protect others’ privacy. Guess that doesn’t apply to staff? I pay for the prescription and ask to talk to the pharmacist with a question I have. The pharmacist comes to the cointer and I realize that the ignorant assistant did not give me my prescription! I told the pharmacist I was sure the assistant did not give it to me but she just proceeded to answer my question, and said I could look through my bag for it. So then I spend the next 10 minutes rooting through my two bags, starting to panic because I could not find it! Finally, the pharmacist calls my name and says the prescription was at the counter all along, the assistant forgot to give it to me! I told her and the assistant who was standing there that I thought I was losing my mind because I was looking everywhere for the bottle of pills but not finding it! The pharmacist apologized but the ignorant assistant just muttered to the pharmacist that he thought she had handed me the prescription when she was answering my question. The assistant did not apologize at all, he just smirked even though my question to the pharmacist (which he was could overhear while standing there!) had to do with needing the ‘stomach’ med for stress/mental health symptoms.

(Updated Sep14/2021) The manager has followed up for the incident, but the experience was still very unpleasant thus no change on rating. Due to the characteristics of the neighbourhood, they will suspect anyone who just browsing for deals in late evening based on staff's discriminations and bias, which brings many questions to their staff training. Anyway, go to London Drug (opened till 9pm) on Cambie or the other Shoppers (opened till 7pm) inside the VGH, they have much more relaxing shopping environment and also carry much more products. In particular, LD actually offers better discounts for beauty products. This Shopper is only good fits for buying tissue papers or quick buy or getting your subscriptions. DON'T shop here for deals, especially in the evening. They also generally sell a dollar or so more on many products. (Sep 9/2021) Have been a regular customer at this location since I moved to the neighborhood in 2013, know what deals are better than the LD on Cambies, can recognize most of their night shift staff even they wear face masks, particularly appreciate the long business hours, which is very convenience. However... - Please STOP harassing and/or imitating your customers when they are just browsing in the evening! - Please have concrete proof BEFORE making any implicit and/or explicit accusation! - Please find other alternatives to prevent thefts! Let alone considering a man constantly following a woman from behind - what a thoughtless act!

I use Shoppers Drug Mart a lot. But no more. I bought a hair brush, QUO Diamond Ceramic $32.99. After two months of not much use, the bristles startled falling out of the brush, into my hair, all over the floor. Little plastic triangles. This is what I tried to get help: no receipt, so...contacted SDM support line and after 15 min. wait, the phone was picked up and hung up. Tried that twice. Then I wrote three letters to shoppers to tell them about the product, and could I have the phone number of QUO, their main line of beauty products Nope, they don't have that. Its corporate apparently. Third, I walked to my ex store today and spoke to the manager - 885 Broadway Vancouver. I showed him the brush, the falling out bristles, and he could only repeat the phrase - no receipt, no exchange. Three times. I asked - as the letter I sent to Shoppers head office was replied to only once. I was asking for a phone support for the product shoppers sells. Manager no help. George or Dave I think. I will buy nothing else at that store, ending the pharmacy account too and wish I could warn you all that the products there under the name QUO are not supported in any way. Just frustrated that no support is available through any option.

The worst. I dont normally leave a negative 1star review, but considering the location of this store (medical neighborhoods). I was expecting some level of decency. I was browsing the eisle for vitamins, but the clerk who was stocking left the cart right in front of the shelves I needed to grab from. So I pushed it like a FEET away to grab what I needed. The clerk came back, and he literally stared at me with his eyes about to shoot killer lazers. And growled a very clear annoyed Ughhh!! I decided not to confront this behavior (because who has time to waste for ppl like this) by simply checking out and being on my way. On top of his cringe and rude attitude. WHILE doing self checkout, the machine won't scan my royaly card, so I decided to pay at the cashier. I told the cashier lady the self checkout won't scan my royalty card. She was annoyed at the fact she had to scan my single item, said nothing, and just rolled her eyes and pointed she scanner next to her. And im like, is she telling me to scan my own item? My card or what?? Wow, this capped off the fact that the store management is not at all into customer service or even any level of basic social manners.

  • McAllister Pulswaithe

Inexcusable incompetence and rudeness. I came in looking for a product, and the girl at the checkout counter waved me over to a place to look for it. It wasn't there. I went back and then she told me they were sold out. I asked another cashier, and she pointed me to another location. Not there. I went back and talked to the first cashier and told me she had misdirected me. No reaction, no apology. She said, "You didn't tell me how many you needed." Blame the customer. "I'm sorry" is not in her vocabulary. It's a cultural thing, but she acted like a complete automaton, and even though she spoke perfect English, she doesn't understand the meaning of courtesy. Something lost in translation. She wouldn't admit she was wrong or even acknowledge it. Just a complete robot. She needs to learn some manners, but her acculturation is alien to the concept of acting like a human being. Called the manager, long wait - she’s gone home for the day. Asked to speak to acting manager - another long wait - they’ve gone home for the day too, maybe you call tomorrow. It was mid-afternoon. What horrible service.

Come to this location a lot as I work late hours in the restaurant industry. Pharmacy staff has been excellent and I appreciate that they are open 24hrs but I am tired of being followed around every time I come in. Makes me feel uncomfortable. Especially when the cosmetic staff make it obvious that they are suspicious of you by pointing and calling security. What boring lives you must lead to want to play crime stoppers at work. You’re not being sneaky. You’re deterring business by being unwelcoming. I managed a Sephora, I know how it goes- but I would prefer my staff to focus on providing good customer service or maybe tidying up the mess of a Stila counter rather than play detective.

While shopping for ensure for my dying mother I was stared down by a blackbird security guard at 730 pm on Jan 11th. He made me feel uncomfortable but I continued to the pharmacy at the back of the store. I stopped at the end of the isle and turned around to find him peeking through the cracks in the shelves trying to catch me stealing. I flipped him the bird and continued shopping. After paying I left and he continued to stare me down on the way out. This behavior reflects poorly on the brand. By the way, if you'd like to pass on the message. I'm not poor and am a better person than your man in every way.

  • Ableton Limbo

Please hire someone to be at the checkout till to help customers with purchases. The self checkout machines are always acting up and not working properly. I had to leave without my groceries. Only the security guard was there to help and it’s not his job to troubleshoot the machines… Seniors and people with disabilities use this store often since it’s close to VGH. There should be extra care given for ppl when they check out items. Please hire staff to actually work at this Shoppers and be at the grocery till. Please don’t rely on customers to do everything themselves by using the self checkout. Thanks

  • The Beauty Verdict

I was "yelled" at by the makeup girl Patricia because she didnt like the way I spoke to a worker. the worker had no problem with me. I think Patrica is mentally ill or maybe shes angry because shes soooo ugly looking. It seems she was jealous of me or maybe racism. The worst customer service ever in fact I didn't buy the large puchase and just left. I told ugly flat chested and jealous Patrica to speak to her customers more professionally next time. Also sadly the other girls there seem kinda stupid really they dont know ANYTHING. Also this place is famous for short changing people.

There is simply no excuse to racial profiling. My partner is African American, and for some reason that provoques a panic as both security and staff start to follow her all around. If you have braids in your hairs and want to buy makeup, be wary. They will even grab the items you want to buy and bring them to the cashier. Then after paying, if you make the mistake of wanting to double back to check on an item that you just saw, you'll get extra attention. At then end you even get an escort to the exit. In case you've hidden something in your afro hairs I suppose.

Having lived in the neighborhood for 25 years, today I remembered why I never use this location. Having had a negative experience on my visit today to pick up the 'Free Covid Home Test' I doubt I will return for further kit pickup. Pharmacy employee Kevin I found to be rude and confrontational rather than helpful. My BC Health card is the OLD one, and valid BC Drivers License and he let it be known he was doing me a favor by serving me. His attitude I felt was not what I expected or I am sure, what Shopper's as a brand would want. Dreadful.

Went to this Shoppers Drug store wanting to purchase a box of Crest teeth whitener yesterday (Feb 13,,2019) evening around 6:30pm. A sign on the shelf indicated that I have to go the cashier counter to obtain the item and pay for it. So I took the item level which has all the name/price of item. Gave the item info to a female Chinese ( about 40 + yrs of age) who seems rather confused and rude so I left without making the purchase.Terrible customer experience. If I were the store owner I wouldn’t have her working in my store period.

  • Julia Russell

Was running early for work this morning so decided to pop into the Shoppers on the way. Well I am so happy I did! The girl at the makeup counter was so incredibly sweet and helpful! I picked up a couple things I havent tried before and she immediately recommended something better and even a little cheaper instead! She also gave me some tips and compliments and was just overall so kind! She even gave me a bunch of samples.... gotta love samples! I didn't catch her name, but hopefully she sees this so she knows she's appreciated! :)

At one point I bought to many lottery tickets. Food plus 20 pills a day. For brain injury and other things. I won 100 dollars and I went to cash it as I'm on disability with brain injury. The lady working said she could not cash it. Not enough money yet in her till. Actually was a B about it. This store lost my meds and other things I bought regular. To be fair. One nice lady helped. That's terrible management.. I'm 2 minutes away from that location. It sucks for me

  • Matthew S

DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS!!! I bought 10 $200 gift cards for a employee contest from this location. 4 of them do not work and we’re already registered. Shoppers just passes the blame to a 3rd party company and after 3 weeks I still have no resolutions. $800 taken from my company and ZERO help so far. Selling fraudulent gift cards to loyal optimum members then not rectifying the situation is shameful. I hate leaving bad reviews but this is just disgusting.

  • MAT

Worst customer service. Pharmacy extremely rude, complete liars, unprofessional and no idea what customer service is. I work in the Health Care field so I know the steps and procedures. Faxed and called about my prescription. Was placed on hold for over 30 minutes, then they hung up on me. This happened 3 times. Then faxed prescription and note but yet still no answer from the Pharmacy department. Will be complaining to head office.

  • Parminder Singh

some of the staff is ok...but i requested for washroom ...but so surprised... lady on teller start talking me like a nonsense ....so irresponsible ....so weird ....they just messing up shopper drug mart's name....such a stupid people working there in this location.....but thnx a girl named"KAMAL"who really helped me with that...she is a good worker..and others should learn some manners from...specially ...workers on teller ....

  • Trevor Brown

Bonus is that it's 24 hours, I used to take transit all the way from Marpole in the morning when I did not feel like waiting for my grocery store to open. On the downside, I agree with fellow customers, I don't like being followed around by the security guard every time I'm in there. I don't shop thee anymore. Funny how I don't get followed around at other locations, even when I have my backpack.

  • Cameron Sheppard

This used to be a great location, but they are now forcing everyone to use self-checkout, and refusing to serve people 'in person'. This is the new normal (for the last three days). It is time to switch to London Drugs where they actually will speak to their customers ... or just order on Amazon. It will take one more day, but the level of service will be the same and the prices usually cheaper.

  • KZ

I was there getting something prescribed by the pharmacist (who was very friendly and informative). While I was waiting, a customer began making a scene because she didn't like the security guard looking at her. I appreciated that, even though she was being incredibly rude and getting into the staff members' faces, the security guard and staff all remained polite and professional.

  • Lucas Jensen

Learned today this store's sales prices do not apply after 7 or 815pm. What a greedy, horrible policy. Also I'm pretty sure it's false advertising and illegal to not respect the posted price at the shelf. There were no signs stating this policy, I had to have staff called to the abandoned checkout after self checkout didn't honour the sale. Avoid this garbage store.

  • Roberto Gonsalves

All I have to say is ELIZABETH is a asset too this store. She works in the Beauty department. She is so sweet and is full of information on all the products we asked about and most importantly was not pushy with the sales at all. I walked out of there and spent almost 300 and I am very happy with what I bought . Thanks again Elizabeth!!!!

  • Gurv

Small shop to grab quick items. The snacks are a bit limited, but the dairy section was bigger than you typically find in a Shoppers Drug Mart. Overall I prefer the London Drugs that is a few blocks down the street as it’s less cramped and the layout is better. They also have significantly more options available because of the extra space.

  • Daranne Kalelest

Stopped by to kill sometime & see sales. The woman was to eager to help. Made a suggestion on my wrinkles on my forehead, made an assumption, I didn't care to correct because I have my go to lady at the Shopper's Drug Mart in New West. I like to see how staff handle themselves, knowledge and are they just there to push sales or to help.

  • Yakuza Kaneshiro

Worst place to go. The pharmacy staff Agnes and the front staff lady so lazy. I was asking for advil smaller size and the front counter lady told me go ask Pharmacy and i asked the Pharmacy Staff Agnes, she said go ask the front lady at the front. So unprofessional and lazy. Doesnt want to help customers at all. So lazy and bad service

  • P.J. M

24 hour service is a plus. But the night security officers have to stop following everyone around like everyone’s a suspect. I feel very uncomfortable when I’m there late night after work and the power tripping pretend police man stares at me in the dairy department while I decide which Activia Yogurt flavour to purchase.

  • Melissa Boily

Very rude manager and cashiers. I came in to get a refund I had the date of the purchase and the credit card number. They wouldn’t refund me or give me a gift card. They didn’t try to accommodate me or anything. The manager was clearly saying it was not his problem. First location I had a problem exchanging a product.

  • Flora

The shoppers store is great but the pharmacy is the worst... I came to pick up a prescription and this girl had to ask for help 5 times because she didn't know what to do, I kept asking her the price and she couldn't give me an answer... finally after wasting 30min I had to leave because I was late for work...

  • Rachel Chambers

We got our first dose of COVID vaccine from Shoppers Drug Mart. The appointment went well, and they were ready for us on the scheduled date and time. The person who gave us the shot was excellent and gave us detailed instructions on what to expect and what to look for after the vaccination.

  • Aleksandar Jugovic

Holly mother of God this place is the worst retail store I've ever been at. Out of 7 items 4 were wrong priced and cashier just didn't care.Did not even bother to check it was like - take it or leave it.I've never seen customer service this bad!!! Shoppers Drug Mart should be avoided

  • Jeffrey Timmins

Brought in my winning scratch tickets. $19.00. I won. Also got more data for my phone. $56.00 for 10 G of Data, Chatr. It last me almost a month. Staff very helpful and friendly. Sometimes usually once a month 12 rolls of toilet paper is cheap. Sometimes buy one get one free.

  • Stephen “Senor Saucy” Foster

Great experience at the pharmacy. Super friendly and helpful, especially given we are from out of town getting hospital prescriptions filled. Felt like an old-time small town experience. Wish our local SDM pharmacy felt like this, rather than the factory that it is.

  • Sam Choy

Pharmacy staff here are just too slow. Waited over 10 minutes behind one (1) other customer just to pick up my prescription. At least three others were working in the rear but no one acknowledged me or offered to perhaps expedite things.

  • Adam Quinn

NEVER have anything in stock.. I have lived close by for years and the shelves are regularly empty of many products.. How has no one had the sense to order larger quantities of the products the they regularly run out of.. Poor management

  • Peter's Fish & Fry

This Shopper drug mark is on West Broadway, it is very convenient and there are many parking spaces downstairs. The waiter's attitude is very good, there are a lot of goods, and every time I go, I will buy what you are satisfied with.

  • Charles Cheung

Three times the pharmacy messed up the order and delayed the prescription. Unprofessional and poor attitude from the pharmacy department. No remorse no responsibility. Unbelievable how they let a bunch of clowns run a pharmacy there.

  • Mavaddat Javid

The pharmacist on duty is very nice and helpful. I transferred a prescription to this Shoppers and it was relatively painless. When I needed to pick up the prescription earlier, the pharmacists had no problem hurrying my request.

  • Samantha Hum

The whole store doesn't open at the same time. The beauty section doesn't open till hours after it opens. The day I went, I waited in the store close to an hour and the person who opens the 'gate' still didn't arrive.

  • Rodi Abakumov

The pharmacy is super slow. Came after 30 min of waiting time and still waiting for another 30 min… fella John said “let me tell you the price and see if you still want the antibiotics”...$36..

  • Pi Lou

Somehow general impression is a bad one. Pharmacists too often curt and dismissive. They seem to have most things, but help is scarce and hurried, going where? so few people there anyway.

  • Ross Hobbs

Decent selection of products. Customer service is decent but location seems short staffed as help was hard to find. Overall good experience. 24 hour service is a plus

  • Anshu Dhawan

It’s a good store but here you will not find testers for cosmetics. Staff is helpful but like other shoppers drug mart you will not find good guidance for cosmetics.

  • Vishal Sharma

They charge 16 dollars for a pack of PALAFER capsules , which are only 10.99 at Macdonald's prescription, just a block away . Shame on you SHOPPERS. …

  • Kennett Kwok

Arrived at 12:00am last night to pick up a switch. Told me that they were on sale at 4pm. Called this morning. Sold out. Won't be getting my business again.

  • chloe liu

Cashier told me not to come back again when I bought something and asked for reimbursement on parking ticket for the second time. Poor service.

  • Tiffany Johansson

I just received excellent customer service at the 885 W Broadway location pharmacy - truly appreciate their help today!

Nice little express Shoppers Drug Mart, Nothing to complain about but is smaller than your average shoppers.

  • Tom Callaghan

No sense of customer service. Can never find prescriptions, always disorganized and uninformed.

  • Neena Deol

Everything is always well-stocked, staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Service is alway fast.

  • PersianDutch

Good that it is a 24-hour shop. Esp for the hotel guests on the other side of the street.

  • Lauren Abramson

Online says that passport photos can be taken here, which is incorrect

  • Neil Diguangco

Saved me and my wife a bunch of times on the late night diaper runs!

  • Kachina Williams-Alfred

I think they should open earlier than 8am, atleast on the weekdays
