After visiting this location, I had to ask how on earth is such a well known pharmaceutical chain would put it's name on this playground. Definitely, if this was a playground for kids, I won't allow my children to play in it. One would assume that pharmacists are well educated people who are there to offer very high level of knowledge and service to patients and clients. Unfortunately, the only thing I had received at this location was insult, yelling and screaming from an older male who looked like Pakistani ( I didn't get his name) and his assistant ( a lady that was in hijab). I was told by the hospital to go pick up iron medication in order to be given as IV. I go wait at the counter for 20 minutes only to be ignored. So, I decided to move to the other side of the counter where the pharmacist was standing the whole time dealing with customers who arrived after me. Once I tried to open my mouth to ask for help, THE ONLY THING I RECEIVED was big loud yelling and insults from the man who was supposed to be a pharmacist. He started yelling saying (((WAIT FOR YOUR TURN, THIS IS CUSTOMERS' PRIVACY))).!!!! All I wanted was to ask why I am being ignored.? But he kept screaming and then comes his lady assistant to tell me wait in line. Well, I waited long enough only to be insulted and disrespected inside this zoo. Finally, long story short, DO NOT use this location for any reason unless you want to be disrespected.

Do not visit this Shoppers!!!! The pharmacist owner is absolutely the most idiotic person I have ever met...and I work in healthcare where I'm always dealing with different suppliers. Called to ask for a medication and was told that they have it in stock. Made the trek there to purchase, not only they didn't have it in stock, they asked for a deposit of $10 dollars (even though I told them that I work in the hospital). Because they have the monopoly in this hospital, the only pharmacy, I had no choice but to say ok. They took my money for the deposit, however when I asked for a receipt they wouldn't give me one....WTH!!! How does a business ask for a deposit from a customer and then refuse to give them a receipt!!!! This is more a principle of how you get treated as a woman and a loyal customer than about a measly $10 dollars. I was treated very poorly and unprofessionally with their whole interaction with me another female co-worker! This will be brought to BBB's attention. This is not the first negative experience we (my colleagues and I and other clinic staff in the hospital) had with them. He has an employee there named Mo, who is extremely rude and very ignorant..... Please do yourself a favor and do not visit this shoppers!!!! Made me kind of sad as I am a big fan of Shoppers Drug Marts in general!

I honestly do not use any shoppers drug mart locations. I have never had a good experience. The hospital sent my prescription there for convenience. When I went to pick it up, the lady asked me if I called to tell them that I was picking it up. She said that I had to wait about 20 minutes. I went to sign in. Came back and it still wasn't ready. She asked me to sit and wait. I asked how much longer, she said it was in que. I then told her that I need it in the next 5 minutes for my appointment that I had at GIM. She then went and got it. I arrived at the hospital 30 minutes early and was 10 minutes late for my appointment because of this. And now I am trying to call regarding my next prescription pick up and I've been on hold for 14 minutes and 26 seconds and counting. They literally have pharmacists that use Google to answer questions about interactions between medications and general questions at other locations. Stay away at all cost.

The pharmacist, pharmacy assistant and pharmacy student that I dealt with on Tuesday, March 21st were all unprofessional and unfriendly when I was there. They should be empathetic towards ALL customers/patients because you never know what those people have been through or are currently going through with regards to their health. I was at this pharmacy filling for an injection that costs over $1000. They told me that my plan rejected the claim but they didn’t bother to offer to call my plan to fix the issue? They needed to add an intervention code to put it through (this can all be figured out if you just Googled it too). When all was figured out, the pharmacy assistant was going to let me go on my way and not make me talk to the pharmacist as this is an injection I’ve never had before. I expected A LOT from a pharmacy that is inside a hospital. I would never go back here again.

I was called in for an interview today by the manager I arrived few mins late as I was not aware that the store is inside the hospital, When I arrived I saw two persons standing there and asked for the manager the girl standing there told me the manager can’t take interview and then the guy standing beside very rudely said that he can’t interview with me as owner left. On my way back home I received his message to come back and he will do the interview without the owner and then again after 2 mins he messages me nevermind. This guy should not be the manager, I don’t have the name but that guy didn’t looked like the manager to me.

Dealing with staff at this pharmacy is a nightmare. I bring my grandma for her cancer treatment and each time her prescription is renewed only after she completes a blood test. The pharmacist always is reluctant to provide the medication same day, always making comments that the cancer clinic should have faxed the prescription a day before, when we already explained that it’s not possible due to necessary blood work. This results in long waits, even when pharmacy is not busy. They should prioritize patients especially if the medication is an easy in box prescription and does not require any dispensing. Very frustrating

Today March 13 2023 I called the Pharmacy to inquire about a simple question, the male individual in the pharmacy department who answered my call at around 7:32 PM, didn't even have the patience to answer a question he simply hanged up the phone. I can't believe Shoppers Drug Mart is allowing such individuals with little to no respect for the health care profession to be operating from this location. To your response below about calling customer service, what's the point of calling when so many other people are reporting the same instances of rude behavior from your pharmacy team. Nothing has changed.

Shoppers drugmart , centinary hospital branch. I just been discharged today from this hospital for another total knee replacement surgery. We gave ample time of hour of waiting for meds, but unfortunately we waited another hour for meds to be released. The sad part is that your employee are rude; Telling us that if we can’t wait, we can go to another pharmacy, coz they are busy. In a sarcastic manner. The waiting, resulting i vomit in front of your store, which im realy sorry about that. Your employee doesn’t have a respectable costumer service. Disappointed customer Rodrigo de Castro

Here's my experience today at the shoppers drug mart. They really need two guys taking prescription from people, who comes here to pick up there medication. I won't be coming here again even this pharmacy was suggested by my doctor. Today I had my good luck to meet an old Indian origin guy, "Siva" and instead of helping me he was basically ordering me with waving his hand "go away", and come after few minutes I think what he ordered me without even answering what I actually I was asking. He was very rude and impolite. I would suggest others to avoid this drug mart.

This is the only pharmacy I trust for me and my family. Everyone is so helpful and they are fairly thorough. They always take care of their longstanding clients and are always welcoming to new clients. Doesnt matter if you are filling a prescription on the way out from day surgery or emergency dept or you always come there, every member of the team from the store associates to the pharmacy techs always value you as a person.

It is never acceptable for a healthcare professional, including a pharmacist, to hang up the phone on a customer, especially when I was asking a legitimate question about a claim made on my insurance( which was cancelled later). Every customer has the right to clear and concise information regarding their health and treatments. It was a very rude behavior from the employee.

For the pharmacy only: My first time here but the whole process seemed too long but service seemed normal like other places. Only one person ahead of me at drop off and was told 20 minutes. I came back after 35 minutes with no one else at pick-up and thought lucky me but they hadn't even started. It took another 10 minutes for me to get it and leave.

My second time visiting this location as I was in the hospital for an appt. Both times the attendants at the counter were friendly, professional and quick. Location was clean and offered the standard blood pressure machine on site plus lots of food and other items you would find in a Shoppers store. Knowledge pharmacist and team! Thank you!

Avoid this pharmacy at all cost. The pharmacy staff are very incompetent and I had a hard time just getting my medication. I didn't have much of a choice as this medication had to be specially ordered. I didn't get the correct quantity/dosage that was on my prescription, and then was charged extra for their mistakes. Terrible experience.

Once again, I am leaving another review to say this is not a good store. The vapid employees wait in the aisles and by the self checkout to pounce on people for stealing. Please, get a life, I thank God I will never have to work in your store, nor will I ever have to steal anything. What a toxic environment.

Frustrated is an understatement. Just left centenary shoppers location ! Absolute joke . Customer service non existent! If he’s a pharmacist I’ll eat my hat , rude and completely disrespectful! Please people do not use this pharmacy , pathetic service will not return ! Lots of other pharmacies to use !

Frustrating service!! I waited over an hour on a prescription for a simple antibiotic tablet!! If I did not follow up 40min through it, I would have waited longer!! Pharmacist gave me the Rx and not even an apology or an explanation why it was neglected. And it is not even busy! Really upseting!

Garbage rude service from brown man. This location makes too much money… they don’t care if they get your business or not. They don’t even acknowledge you and make you wait LONG. The management does not deserve this critical location inside a hospital.

Hi please improve customer service at this pharmacy. Extremely rude and takes forever to check out a medication. Some girl working doesn't even know what she's doing. Given it's inside a hospital, you really need to improve customer services here!

Some of the employees are nice but some not trust me. They don't do Presto transactions. Very small drugstore, not like the one at Lawrence and Markham . My favorite one to go too, recommend highly.
