There may be some good dentists out there, but honestly, not all are so good. I’m going to Simply Dental Chatswood because we all deserve peace of mind, and I know I’m placed in safe, competent dental care. FIRST, DO NO HARM I’ve had a dentist to whom when I complained of a toothache, her approach was to randomly pick a healthy tooth and begin to drill it, and after placing the filling in, she told me that she couldn’t identify the problem. I still paid my bill, but never went back again. Then the next dentist I went to see simply thought I was faking it. Though skeptical, at least, he began to drill the tooth I pointed to him anyway - he didn’t even bother to take an X-ray when in doubt. Both dentists were highly recommended to me by my friends for their “painless experiences”. After a visit to the dentist, my friends often looked like patients with stroke. Their faces would be numb for, not several hours, but a couple of days, and with the root canal treatment they had for most, if not all, noticeable dental decays, no more oversensitivity or the tiniest discomfort sensation from those teeth was warranted. Another dentist I had was very conscientious and was genuinely concerned of the wellbeing of her patients, but her teeth cleaning was so aggressive that I feared that she may actually have done more harm than good to my teeth. Afterwards, for years, I dreaded every time to even just go and have routine checkups. To say I’ve been very happy with Dr Sakshi Gupta at Simply Dental Chatswood is, therefore, still an understatement – I’m grateful for her. MY DENTIST – DR SAKSHI GUPTA In addition to all’s been said about Dr Gupta in previous reviews from other patients of hers – her hand-eye coordination and ability to spot often overlooked signs of decays by other dentists and thus making early or preventative treatment possible – I’d like to mention that her proactive attitude and methods to tackle problems have salvaged my teeth from the damage done earlier by others and greatly improved my dental health overall. She can take decisive actions, and her solutions are both practical and effective. This is also evidenced by her very modernised dental practice. TOOTH IMPLANTATION I’ve had operations to correct and expand my misaligned upper jaw. At the end of my 2-year orthodontic treatment, a gap between my incisor and front tooth big enough for a crown was created. My orthodontist advised against tooth implantation. I still went ahead to have a tooth implant instead of a bridge. Since last year, I have been placed under the care of a specialist team which includes Dr Gupta. It was only a few weeks ago at her practice, Dr Gupta used 3D imaging technology to scan inside my oral cavity, and from the image file instantly created from the scan, a lab technician could make moulds of my teeth and gums. I’m about to take the last step which is to have a crown made and screwed onto the abutment. I’m very excited! Not only my whole family are now seeing Dr Gupta, but I would also recommend anyone who needs tooth implants to go and see her! Having a fear of the dentist due to past painful experiences isn’t fun and that’s what I’ve had with a previous dentist as all my previous appointments has always been painful and it would make me very nervous every time I go. Compared to the previous clinic that I went to where everything felt so chaotic with the phone ringing every second, sounds of paperwork, loud static radio music and an open planned clinic where the ‘rooms’ were really only separate by a partial wall of glass, Simply Dental gave off a really peaceful and comfortable atmosphere where each patient is safe in the privacy of an actual room. When I arrived at the clinic, Nitin was there to greet me with a warm friendly smile with relaxing music in the background, calm lighting and plants. The waiting time wasn’t very long at all – they were ready and waiting for me rather. I was really nervous before my appointment but I left there feeling like a completely different person. The check up and clean procedure was such a different experience – comfortable, relaxing and my teeth felt so clean afterwards. She is a family friendly dentist who made sure to listen to my concerns, fears and queries and kept me informed during the appointment and my future treatment plan tailored to my needs and wants. She also continuously checked on how I was feeling and made sure that I wasn’t in any pain, discomfort or sensitivity. My friend had a dental emergency during our visit to Sydney, and her chipped tooth almost ruined our trip. However, our experience with Simply Dental turned out to be a lifesaver. They were able to accommodate us on the same day to promptly fix my friend's tooth. During the visit, we were impressed by the expertise of Dr Patricia and her assistant Crystal. Dr Patricia thoroughly explained the situation and the procedure, ensuring that my friend felt comfortable and at ease throughout. The dentistry: There are some good dentists out there, but this is by far the best dentists I've had. I'm with Bupa insurance, switched from HCF, never had to go through those monthly waits again. Or have to go from dentist to dentist within a branch. The dentist (Sakshi): You can tell the level of precision and care, from both during and after dental treatment. She has an amazing level of hand eye co-ordination, and is genuinely driven to get things perfect. This goes not only for your dental treatment, but even in her hand writing, its just her way of doing things. She also explains to you all her findings, and generally she picks up more hidden decays than other dentistries that I've been to. I've had 12 fillings plus 1 crown, trust me i'd know. Pricing: Whether ur with bupa or not, for the level and quality of service, this is probably the most price competitive i've seen.

Dr Sakshi and her team are very warm and professional. She is very thorough and takes time to explain and provide all details for you to understand your condition/issues. She’s the most gentle and patient every single time. Dr Sakshi provides timely replies to queries and concerns and always warm in her ways. She does not just treat you when you’re at the clinic but she follows up and monitors how all your procedures had been with specialists she had referred to and she is always there to answer practically any question or worry. She has her effective way of making you understand the technicalities of your dental issues as well as making you feel reassured that everything will be alright. My family and I have had general teeth cleaning and fillings done by Sakshi of Simply Dental Chastwood. With several appointments under our belts over a period of time, we trust that our feedbacks are somewhat valuable! In our opinions, Sakshi is a very skilled and experienced dentist. Dental treatments were painless. She also works really well with my kid which help in easing the nervousness. This is very important when working on young children as I'm not sure how many children out there consider dental treatment as a walk in the park! In term of the dental clinic facilities, it was a bit old and dated. However, with the recent total renovation, the clinic is now look very modern with new treatment chair, Netflix, LED TVs, etc. It surely belongs to world class standard!

Being someone who is terrified to visit dentists, Its safe to say that my fear of dental procedures has been lifted, after being looked after by Dr. Gupta. She is an amazing dentsit with experience and knowledge to answer all your queries. Great customer service. Very friendly staff. I was referred by a friend and I’m glad I went. Dr. Sakshi fixed a chipped front tooth for me today and was very gentle and reassuring. She has a great chair-side manner. The DAs are friendly and give the practise a comfortable vibe. Will be back soon. Edit: well, I didn't expect to be back quite this soon. An unexpected "crack!" during lunch this week had me back in the chair under the expert care of Dr. Denise. Thanks to her deft hand and on-the-ball assistants, my mouth was back in action in no time. Post-surgery pain management was even taken care of by means of some extra-mile advice and a prescription after hours. The human touch offered by Simply Dental is indeed a beautiful thing!

I've been to Simply Dental about 3 times in the last 12 months and every single time has been a pleasure! The receptionists (especially Coryn) are always so friendly and welcoming and the dentists always make you feel comfortable and keep you well informed of what they are doing. My most recent visit was last week and Roheena was the oral health therapist who did my check up and clean - she was so lovely, kind and patient, and made sure to explain every step of what she was doing to ensure that I was well informed. She also made sure to let me know what treatment options I had for potential future problems so that I could come back for future treatment if I wanted. I'll definitely be coming back here for all my dental needs!

I was greatly impressed by the efforts the staff at Simply Dental Chatswood went to, to fit me in for a treatment of piece of tooth falling out, when I knew they were already pretty much fully booked. I have extreme anxiety about going to the dentist after a traumatic experience with my teeth at a young age. Dr Gupta and her lovely team coped well with all of the initial crying and stress on my behalf, and made a plan for me to gradually get all of the work done that I needed to. Dr Sakshi Gupta is simply awesome. I hadn't gone to a dentist in 5+ years and had quite a few issues with my teeth. I finally needed some urgent dental help and she was recommended by a friend who's been using her for years. She systematically went and fixed every single issue that I had and even saved a couple of teeth that had a small chance of salvation. She has a way of calming patients down and she will explain any complex situations with your teeth in a layman's terms. Our family of 5 have been going to see Sakshi since she opened her practice. Appointments are always on time and the practice is very customer service oriented. Sakshi and her team always take the time to answer any questions you and your children may have. They have shown that they will go out of their way to help patients (outside of scheduled appointments) and do more for patients in their own time then any other dentist I have been to before. Fees for services are also very competitive. I give my highest possible recommendation to Sakshi and her team. This is a practice that respects and values its patients.

I've been scared of dentists all my life because I've had horrible experiences but this clinic has completely changed that. Great experience as a patient at this dentist. The Dentists provide explanations for your procedures and make sure that you understand what they have told you. I have seen three different dentists here and the handover has been immaculate - on the first meet they already know your history and confirm that this is correct. The receptionists are friendly and give 2 reminders for follow ups so the patient will not forget an appointment. Clean environment, friendly atmosphere and welcoming space. Highly recommend.

As someone who isn't overly fond of going to the dentist, I have to say that Simply Dental makes the experience of dental checkups so much easier and far less stressful. I would highly recommend Dr Ellie Mahdavi to anyone who is looking for an extremely capable dentist. I’ve seen Dr Mahdavi about 4 or 5 times in the last two months - i’d ground my teeth down over the years and i needed some serious work done to restore them to their original condition. I was in Dr Mahdavi’s hands as it was up to her to lengthen them and reshape them. This took a lot of artistic and creative ability on her part (10 out of 10). I couldn’t be happier with the result.

Dr Sakshi is the best dentist I have ever come across. I had a failed root canal treatment earlier and never I have received more honest and genuine advice to a  satisfactory level than provided by Dr. Sakshi. I was so lucky to find this absolute gem of a dentist when I chipped a tooth on the last business day before Christmas. Dr Sakshi worked through her lunch break to help me out. Had a wonderful experience coming to Simply Dental for a check up and cleaning. From reception to dental assistant and Dr. Gupta everybody was super friendly and I felt at ease throughout the appointment. Very friendly dental clinic that is easily accessible. Been coming for regular check ups for 2 years and each time the appointment has been quick and efficient. I had a crown on my tooth this morning. The whole thing only took a couple of hours and Sakshi made it on her 3D printer, after accurately mapping it on her computer so it fitted perfectly. I am thrilled with the result and the cost was slightly less than I was expecting for a crown. All in one visit!

Family has moved over to Simply Dental Chatswood as loyal patients ever since the fantastic job they were able to do for me initially. Painful tooth was solved via a very successful and stress free root canal treatment. Highly recommended. Dr Sakshi and her team are brilliant!

Dr Johnathan, did a great job removing my wisdom tooth out. The procedure was painless and he made it comfortable. I had an abnormal bleed and went back the day after. They checked the bleed and were able to provide me with a surgeon. The dentists good communication with me.

I visited Simply Dental today and had my teeth cleaned by Dr Gupta. I'll definitely be returning to visit the clinic as my teeth feel like a million dollars. The staff at the clinic were both professional and also so welcoming. Thank you and I'll see you in 6 months! :)
