I have been with simple dental since 2021. I did a few cleanings and wisdom tooth extraction here. The service was good and the dentist was patient and careful at that point. However, in recent one year the experience is not that good as before. The recent cleanings for me and my wife are not gentle and scratching our teeth heavily. Also, my wife came for wisdom tooth extraction and they made her do deep cleaning first. After two visits with cleaning, they still asked her to come back and check her teeth without planning for wisdom tooth extraction. Come on, we came for extraction, so just do the extraction. To us, they are just trying to ask you to come back again and again so that they can make money. Also in last visit when my wife and I tried to ask the receptionist about charge on our insurance, the receptionist was not friendly with "fake" smile and explained only in a few words without any details. I was also asked (after two deep cleanings) to schedule a third appointment at Sept 26th to check my teeth again (so that they can make money). I never missed any of my appointments with Simply Dental before. However, Seattle was raining very heavily during my appointment time on that day and I didn't have an umbrella. So I called Simply Dental and would like to cancel my appointment because I didn't want to go outside and get cold because of the heavy rain. The receptionist was again not friendly and warned me of a $85 cancellation fee that was never conveyed before through email / text message / in person. Then I would like to reschedule the appointment and the receptionist said rescheduling was still cancelling today's appointment and insisted that I should come otherwise they would charge me with $85. At this point, I finally realized that Simply Dental was not worthy of my trust, they didn't care about their patients and just tried to make money out of you. I checked the previous Google review and found that according to D. Michael Louderback, Simply Dental itself was also having a history of last-minute appointment rescheduling with their patients without any consequences / apologies. So I don't think it is fair to charge me especially when it is a unique circumstance (really heavy rain) and cancellation fee is not conveyed anywhere before. In sum, my wife and I were very disappointed at their recent services and will never come back again. I will never ever recommend Simply Dental to any of my families and friends.

I’ve been going to Simply Dental since roughly 2012 and, for the most part, have had wonderful and kind visits. It’s been in my more recent experience, however, that I’ve noticed a slight decline in care. Today has been the third appointment that I’ve been called and notified fairly last minute—this morning AM for an afternoon appointment and the last two times night before PM for morning appointments—to inform me of a need to reschedule. Today’s rescheduling was presented as a choice and when I expressed that, as a private healthcare provider myself, the time they wanted me to switch too wasn’t going to work, and my choice was no, I was then told that I wouldn’t be seen. The last rescheduling was because the staff wanted to come in later after the Fourth of July holiday the day before; I had had that appointment scheduled for months. Listen, I get it—emergencies happen, shifts in the calendar need to happen, staff want to party and play. However, todays “choice” ended up costing me an additional $160 of my business income and a cancellation of a patient last minute, which I do not, at all, like to do. On top of the two other patients I needed to cancel because the dentist only works on Tuesdays. My patients depend on me and our scheduled time and I work very hard to protect that; I would expect other health care providers to do the same. I expect to be able to trust that when I make these appointments—weeks and months in advance—that I can trust they will be honored and carried through and protected. Perhaps that means another provider is on call, or in the area, and that you don’t place the burden of shuffling around on your patients. I apologized for getting frustrated with the receptionist—however she did not show one fraction of concern of my upset. Not one bit of empathy or even a sincere apology. You’ve really disappointed me and I’m not thrilled with the direction you’re headed Simply Dental. Do better.

I had a terrible experience with the receptionist. I was scheduled for wisdom teeth removal. I specifically asked whether there is anything I should be aware of for the procedure. I was told there was nothing that I should be aware of and they promised that the doctor will reach out to provide specific instructions. I did not receive any email or phone call regarding the specifics of the procedure so I decided to call the day before the extraction with the assumption that I will be sedated during the procedure. I wanted to ask if there are any thing I should be aware of for the sedation. However, the receptionist told me that I will not be sedated since I did not ask for it specifically when scheduling and it will be too late to request it since sedation requires at least 2 hours which won’t fit into the doctor’s schedule. I believe it is quite unprofessional to not disclose all the options to the patient and just make an assumption on what the patient prefer. Especially when I asked about whether there is more I should be aware of at scheduling time. Now I’m really scared about the procedure knowing that I will witness the entire process. I have been with simply dentals for years and really like the doctors here, but I have not seen the same level of patient care with the receptionist. [update on 01/19] when I went in today, the staff and Doctor Andy assured me this is just a consultation and went over the extraction and sedation plan in details with me. Doctor Andy was extremely patient and addressed all my concerns. Again really love the doctors at Simply dental. This was just an isolated incident of lack of communication with scheduling.

I have been going to simply dental for years and have been overall pretty happy with their teeth cleaning services. My dental filling 6 months ago was unfortunately subpar. I experienced significant and ongoing discomfort afterwards and required an adjustment following the procedure. I had no symptoms prior to the filling and unfortunately experienced trouble chewing related to pain and sensitivity for months afterwards. I still decided to come back for my routine cleaning. I was told of a new cavity and another filling was recommended. This dentist, Dr Jessica Bai, was new to the practice and had the best bedside manner I’ve yet to encounter. She seemed reasonable, knowledgeable, and pointed out the cavity to me, which was really helpful and convincing. I decided to give them another try at my filling. They were able to fit me in the same day as my cleaning and Dr Bai did a phenomenal job. She listened to my concerns and the troubles I had related to my previous filling. She placed a liner to address any teeth sensitivity and made adjustments right off the bat to ensure my bite felt normal. I’m a happy camper this time around. No pain or sensitivity, unlike the first time. I would definitely go back to Dr Bai again. One thing that did catch me off guard was the dental hygienist did the nerve block. I had no idea this was in their scope of practice and it was a bit disconcerting. I didn’t get to chose who did my nerve block but I certainly would have felt more comfortable had the dentist, with their extensive study of the mouth anatomy, did my block instead.

I visited Simply Dental twice in the past month. First visit was for a cleaning and the second was for a crown replacement. I wanted to share that I am very impressed with how the staff had adapted best practices in defending against the beer virus pandemic. Prior to each appointment, I received a text reminder to complete a form which helped me take stock on whether or not I have any symptoms or at increased exposure to COVID-19. This gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that other visitors are also submitting to the same level of accountability. Then upon arrival, I noticed the staff sanitized the door handles before I was able to enter the dental office. When I checked in, the reception staff immediately took my temperature with a no-touch thermometer. The staff were wearing face masks at all times and were very friendly. There were hand sanitizers stationed in both the waiting area and again in the operations area. Back in the good old days, they had an "opened door" concept for each of the operations cells. However, this is no longer the case anymore. Simply Dental had installed thick plastic partitions to keep aerosols, mouth water, respiratory droplets, etc. contained within each cell. After my first visit, I did not hesitate on committing to a follow on appointment from a safety perspective. I had a very positive and safe experience both times as I knew the staff went above and beyond to keep me safe. This pandemic is not likely to go away anytime soon and I really hope that more local businesses can take after Simply Dental in the meantime.

I had my first appt ant Simply today and as soon as I walked in I was greeted and checked in very quickly. The girls at the front desk are so nice and very professional. Then I was called back for my initial exam etc. the assistant was super gentle and saw in my file I have a lot of anxiety about being at a dental office. He really took the time to speak with me and I didn’t feel rushed at all. Then Dr Wendy came in and blew it out of the park. She is so funny and so inviting. I felt bad for chatting with her and taking up so much time, but she kept asking me questions about myself and I felt so comfortable. She then did my exam and I of course had a few cavities, which was expected. She went over the photos with me and showed me what they looked like. She even offer to do a couple that same day! Ugh, then the financial discussion. I have no idea how insurance works and the front desk person went over in detail with me how much each procedure was and what my portion would be. She was truly a gem!! I really thought this would be an experience I would dread, but I just absolutely love Dr Wendy and her fabulous team! So thank you again Dr Wendy for explaining everything to me and taking the time to make me feel comfortable! That really went a long way!! I’ll send my family and friends with zero hesitation!

I've been going to Simply Dental for years for my dental care, primarily tooth cleaning. I've largely had a positive experience, that's why I kept going back. Today however was an exception. From the time of my appointment, I've waited exactly 33 minutes until my turn came to receive service. My daughter, who was scheduled at the same time with me, started her tooth cleaning 50 minutes after the scheduled time. I understand things happen sometimes that throw off previous schedules. However, 30-50 minutes seems a bit excessive. It would have been nice if either at the very beginning or at any time throughout my wait the clerk at the front desk had given me a heads up about the delay, as well as an expected wait time; there was nothing like this. Also, another patient came well after me, and his services began about 5 minutes after he arrived. I'm not going to pretend I am qualified to give suggestions for how to manage patient scheduling. However, maybe not scheduling patients back to back (all the chairs were full both when I started and when I finished), but rather leaving a bit of room in between, would help avoid such situations, thus improving patient experience, while also giving the staff some time to catch their breath. Except for the delay, I was satisfied with the care I received.

Great dental work, very mediocre billing procedures. Got a tooth checkup & cleaning + filling done perfectly. Instead of charging my insurance THEN sending me me a bill for what insurance didn't cover, they *guessed* at what insurance wouldn't cover and charged me that immediately instead. They overestimated by ~$50. I have 3 problems with this: 1. I discovered this accidentally - they didn't proactively reach out to return the money, and I don't believe they intended to. 2. It took me 2 calls. I was promised a follow-up after the first call, but nothing happened for 2 weeks. It took a second call and explicitly asking for the money to be returned for something to be done. 3. They ask me to check back "if I don't get the check in a month". Once again, dental work was excellent, but I expected a higher standard for how patients are billed and without needing patients to waste time following up because of their inaccurate cost estimates.

I've been going to Simply Dental since 2020 but my most recent visit was not good. The person that did my teeth cleaning was not careful and I ended up having swollen gums for the next few hours. During the teeth cleaning, I complained tasting a lot of blood and he was like there's only minimal bleeding; but right after the cleaning, I went to the bathroom and spit out quite a bit of blood, which never happened before. He also did the flossing part in a strange way - he would stick the floss in between teeth, then pull the string out from one end, which made more things stuck than it originally was. When I complained about this, he switched to do the floss the regular way, but snapped into my gums a few times. This will be the last time I do teeth cleaning with this person. I'm even considering switching to a different dental office to avoid this in the future

tldr: Horrible scheduling experience. I scheduled Saturday appointment 4 months ahead. Receptionist called and ask if I can come in early, I gladly said yes. I called an hour ahead of appointment time, telling them I’ll be late 5-10mins because of Ferry. (Because I’m a polite person, I bet 99% of people won’t make the call) Receptionist canceled my appointment because “hygienist was already running late, and can’t have her lunch.” And my original spot was already taken. She very “nicely” offered me no cancelation fee. What a joke. Can you refund me $30 for the ferry to Seattle? Btw, one of their specialist is rude. I waited 30mins for her appointment, and she referred me by my orthodontist first name after asking who my orthodontist is. I didn’t correct her because, why. Maybe I’m just nitpicking here. I’m switching dentist. Bye bye.

Simply Dental is excellent on all counts. I thoroughly enjoy visiting for cleanings (I know it sounds crazy) because I know that I am going to get fantastic care. Special shout-out to Lorena, the dental hygienist who did my cleaning last time I was there. She was thorough in the cleaning but careful with every movement, making sure I was comfortable for the entirety of my visit. Plus, she was super friendly and enjoyable to talk with during my cleaning. Dr. Wendy, my dentist, did the final check to make sure everything was healthy and answer any questions I had at the end of my appointment. I know many people are nervous going to the dentist but this team is truly the best and you can trust them to care well for you. 11/10 recommend!

Over the years my experiences with dental offices haven’t been the greatest until I came to Simply Dental. The staff is amazing, starting with the front desk. Very nice ladies and Amber is amazing, she helped me understand my insurance and how it works which I had it all wrong before. These ladies just follow the steps that insurance gives them which I did not understood in the beginning. The assistants are lovely, they care about making me feel comfortable and safe. The doctors I’ve seen here are skilled, everything I’ve got done I’ve been very pleased with and they each take time to explain and show me what they’re doing. I am very happy and my whole family now comes here and they each have had amazing experiences.

MAKE SURE to avoid Dr. Tate! He was a nightmare. Ive tried many doctors at Simply Dental, to be honest all of them are super super great except this one, and very helpful staff. However recently I did a follow up cleaning session (not deep cleaning) with Dr.Tate. I could have not been more miserable out of the experience, my month was fulll of blood (for cleaning! I am not exaggerating). Even though I expressed pain throughout the doctor would just say “okay, sorry”. It was the most painful session of my dental experience (and I am quite tolerant to pain). Today is the day after and I still fill pain in my teeth when eating (I was totally fine before the session), and my gums are swelled.

I was really impressed by Dr. Kim's ability to focus, carefully completing 2-4 fillings each session. I delayed going to the dentist for over 8 years for various dumb reasons and in that time most of my old fillings fell out and new cavities formed. I had a lot of legitimate work that needed to be done and I think Dr. Kim was an ideal match as my new dentist. Once she started working it was clear she had a ton of experience and could easily handle my problems. She even fixed my most problematic molar cavity within our first session in addition to doing a full analysis. All of her work is an obvious improvement but also blends in seamlessly. Thanks Dr. Kim!

Love this dental office, especially Dr. Wendy ! She immediately put me at ease with my appointment. I was having tooth pain and sensitivity on one of my teeth and I was preparing for the worst, but when I was brought to the back, the assistant was quick and efficient with the xrays and so nice! I noticed how I didnt have to wait long to see Dr. Wendy and she was very honest and professional and explained that an old filling had come out and was causing me pain. She offered to fix it right away and it was a quick and painless appointment. I would absolutely recommend this office! BONUS: they offer free parking! which in Seattle is almost unheard of. 10/10

I'm a cash patient - so it's important to me that I get good estimates with no surprises. Simply Dental always comes through. The staff is efficient. I hardly ever spend time waiting. Everyone is friendly. On my recent visit, I knew I had one filling to replace. They scheduled x-rays, cleaning, and fillings back-to-back so I wouldn't need to make multiple trips. Thank you!! Importantly - their dental work is great. The dentist asked - am I ready for an amazing filling. I joked - I've never had an amazing filling. The filling is visible when I smile and I can attest it looks exactly like the teeth nearby - amazing!

I had a medical emergency and during, I banged up my mouth pretty good. I had knocked my front teeth loose. I was in Seattle from St. Louis and knew I needed to see a dentist. I contacted the office and they got me in immediately as an emergency patient. My dentist was so caring, compassionate, gentle and kind. She was able to splint my teeth and give me some relief until I could get back home. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this office. From the first phone call to the final goodbye, they exceeded every expectation I could have had. I can’t thank your office enough.

Dr. Wendy has been my dentist for nearly 8 years now and I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. Since the beginning, she has gone above and beyond to help me manage my teeth. She’s really great at explaining complicated procedures and I have the highest level of confidence in her work. More than that, I love getting to talk to her when I visit the office. She’s such a kind and likeable person. You couldn’t ask for a better dentist. The other dentists at the practice are also very good and the office staff is wonderful. I highly recommend everything about this practice!

I came in today for a consult and the staff in this dental office from the receptionist to the dentist were all so friendly and nice. They were all so helpful and made sure that I was comfortable. They answered every question I had, told me everything that I needed to know about, and they were very understanding. Compared to the last dental office I went to, this one definitely takes the cake. I’ll definitely come back here for future consults and treatments. This dental office is honestly awesome. I 100% recommend going to this one.

I used to work at this office and have changed careers but not dentists. With all if my experience and actually knowing quality dental care, I myself, choose Dr. Wendy and Dr. Lee's care over any other provider in Seattle. I drive all the way from Federal Way because trust and care are important to me. That is what this office provides! Their ethics are outstanding and they truly care about the health of the patients. They pride themselves on happy patients and excellent dental care. I've happily been a patient for 11 years and counting.

I went in for my wisdom teeth removal and had the most traumatic experience ever! What started off a normal procedure ended up being a 3.5 hour long nightmare! At one point, the attending had to bring in a more experienced dentist to take over. At the end after all those pulling and drilling and countless numbing injections- they said I need to now go to an oral surgeon to get my tooth extracted. One of them even said "It is what it is". The corner of my lips are severely bruised from all the pulling they did. NEVER GOING BACK HERE!

Implants involve a series of steps, each requiring exact precision before the next phase is implemented. Dr. Andy was meticulous and a perfectionist in the best of ways with my recent implant. He has a kind, engaging and warm personality who also explains clearly the procedures, yet is sensitive to any discomfort in his patients. My implant fits perfectly and looks beautiful. I also appreciated his assistants who greeted me by name for each of my appointments. This office also has excellent hygienists who are very thorough as well.

I was met by a substitute hygienist-- her first day on the job. She was not able to operate the equipment--either due to inexperience or because it wasn't working properly. I felt as though I was being waterboarded as water gushed in with my mouth wide open. She finally gave up using the equipment and only used her dry tools. I think she may have had vision challenges because she kept attacking my gums, making them bleed, rather than gently cleaning the fine line between gum and tooth. The whole experience was horrifying!

I live in South Carolina but am moving at the end of the year to live with my oldest son and his wife after the death of my youngest son in June. I need dentures after being in a severe car accident that cracked up my teeth. I had to leave my career as a RN because I also had a bad traumatic brain injury and lost my left arm. Anyway I have humans gold Medicare. It pays 2000. Would I be better off doing it here or Seattle. The reason it's so. High is I need so many extractions. Please what's your opinion?? Carrie Allen

I felt compelled to write a review because I personally find it uncommon to have such great customer service at a dentist. I've visited Simply Dental for my annual cleaning and filling for a few years. I had a pleasant experience and never had any issues. I recently moved away but reached out by email to have my dental records sent. They responded fast and I was able to complete my record transfer by email within 30 minutes (I even sent the wrong destination email address by accident and they followed up with me)!

Proceed with caution. First: They take a photo (more like a mugshot) of you at the front desk, and they don’t do this with all their new clients—only certain ones. Second: They will attempt to perform all manner of procedures without consulting with you ahead of time, including full mouth x-rays, rinses, and “deep cleanings.” Third: The x-ray technician will put their gloved fingers in your mouth as if you’re some kind of animal. Fourth: The front desk clerks are very rude and unprofessional. Avoid this place.

This is hands-down the best dental practice I've ever gone to. They are very much on the conservative side - they do not drill at the slightest indication that something *might* be a problem, instead they keep an eye on things and if they develop, they take action. In my last visit, the doctor was very present, patient, and unrushed as he explained my x-rays and areas to watch. My dental hygienist was also very competent, informative, and friendly. It was a great overall experience!

Highly recommend Simply Dental in Seattle. The staff is both professional and very friendly. They have state of the art equipment and even have free parking available. Their operations are great – they communicate as needed but don’t try up-sell like other dentists who would send me a daily email. I put dental visits on hold during the pandemic so have some catch up to do. The hygienist made me feel very comfortable and did a great job with the deep cleaning which was needed.

Simply Dental makes going to the dentist fun! The Saturday crew is the best - the techs, the assistants, the doctors and the office staff are all so personable and welcoming. Fast and easy check in , breezing thru the procedure while somehow still making conversation and doing it well, I always leave feeling better than when I came in. I’ve been coming here for over five years - I’ve even moved twice, and each time further away - but I don’t care, I’d never get a new dentist!

I was disappointed. The dentist, or whoever was working with me, did not introduce himself, go over any exam findings, or talk about a plan of care. I felt rushed and kind of confused as to what was going on throughout, with various people coming in and out of the room offering no introductions. I suppose I could have better advocated for myself and asked the questions, though my general impression was that the place was not professional. I’ll go elsewhere next time.

The dental office is nice and they have state of the art dental equipment. The dental hygenists are talkative. One star off because Dr. Wendy Yueng asked what I do for a living. I was teaching art to 500+ elementary aged students. Apparently this isn't good work, because she said "that's all." I don't go to the dentist to be patronized. If it wasn't for their nice staff, I would give them a lower rating for being out of touch and anti-educator.

Simply Dental is a very nice practice with pleasant, friendly staff. The office space itself is quite nice. I saw Dr. Lo for a periodontal consult. She explained her treatment plan, why she recommended the order of procedures, and answered my questions about recovery time. After I got home I thought of another question and when I called the staff was able to answer it for me. I felt good about the appointment snd have scheduled treatment.

Simply Dental is great! I have been coming here since 2012 and have consistently received great service and care of my teeth from all of the dentists there. They have a wide range of hours too, so it is easy to schedule an appointment. I had a cleaning this week and had a very enjoyable experience. The dentist I saw was very kind and had a good sense of humor. If you dread going to the dentist, this dentist’s office may change your mind.

Dr Ashour has completed 2 successful gum grafts on me. Something that is dreadful and painful made more comfortable by his skill both medically and interpersonally. He’s available whenever I have a question and truly cares about his patients. When I showed up today in anticipation of a certain procedure and a scheduling error had occurred, he quickly spoke to the front desk and corrected the issue. Thank you Simply Dental!

Dr. Kang and Sasha were amazing!!!!!! I had found this office since I recently moved to SLU and needed some major dental attention. Sasha was the Dental assistant and she did a great job with my x-rays and had a great bedside manner. Dr. Kang was so kind and filled 2/3 cavities and was very attentive to any pain anticipated! Will be back for my follow-up appointments. Also the front desk was great too!

I would not recommend Simply Dental to anyone. After years of trusting their office, the quality of service has declined significantly, there is no care for the patient, their treatment plan or patient comfort thru difficult procedures, also there is no transparency on their pricing. I've had a very traumatizing experience with one of their dentist and I will not be setting foot in this office again.

Anytime I go for any dentist appointment the staff there are always so easy going and friendly, they show their compassion for their patients and are always willing to go an extra mile to make and keep their patients happy. I want to say thank you to Dr. Andy Young for always doing such a great job along with Doris as well as Anna!! Thank you all for always making sure my visit goes well.

I instantly felt compelled to leave a review once I left the dentist appointment. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. Never had a better experience anywhere else. Everyone there is so friendly and treated me so well. Especially Anna! Thanks to the unique staff. Your talent and kindness definitely set you apart from every other place in the area. I came for an X-ray.and I was told that I have to do a root canal in another dental office. Because they closed their office so I called simple dental office and got lucky to fit in. And I met an assistant named Nicole who is so nice, and Dr Raamah explained to me so patiently, I felt like I had to stop and write them reviews right away. Suffice it to say, they are the best.

I’ve been going here for 7 years now and always recommend Simply Dental to my friends and family and residents that live in the building I work at. My favorite is Dr. Andy! He’s very kind and can deal well with a very nervous patient. Everyone I talk to is always so professional and kind. Highly recommended to anyone especially in the Belltown / Queen Anne / SLU area!

Simply Dental is great! I lived in this location for over 4 years. I didn’t notice I have a wonderful dental office just right downstairs. I love my first time dental cleaning service with dental hygienist Rodney. He provided great service. I will visit the Simply Dental Seattle every year now. Definitely refer all of friends to the office. Thank you Rodney!!!

Always a great experience coming here! Customer service is great and the doctors always make you feel taken care of. Like most people, I get anxiety when it comes to dental work. The staff and the doctors always ease my anxiety. I had to have multiple fillings done and the work was done quickly and gently! Highly recommend simply dental!

I have been coming to Simply Dental for several years and their front desk staff along with the hygienists and Doctors, are fantastic! They even have free parking, have always been understanding when I am running a second or two late. Plus their cleanings really make my teeth shine! All dentists need to be this good. Seriously!

My experience at simply has been great. coming to the dentist hasn’t been the easiest, but they make my experience here very pleasant. I got my wisdom teeth out and it was so fast nothing what I was expecting. They offered me nitrous to make my visit more comfortable which I appreciate. Staff is great. Doctors are amazing.

This was my first visit and I was SO impressed with the amount of time spent building rapport, being asked a lot of questions about my dental history... One of the most complete dental exams I've ever had. Both Julia and Dr Andrew were kind, though and shared a lot about a good dental plan for me. Very impressed.

They make you do deep cleanings when you don't actually need it so that they can make money.... I went to a different dentistry and got a confirmation that I do not need any deep cleaning. Plus, x-ray machine here is too outdated. You spend so much time and energy to take an x-ray of your teeth. Not recommended.

Do not go here, you will regret it for the rest of your pain filled life. I had a similar experience to many others. I got a filling replaced, and had multiple problems: pain, sensitivity, surface defects, high filing. I've been back several times to fix the problems and they just keep making it worse.

I've been a patient at Simply Dental for over 5 years and I would definitely recommend going here. They're non-judgemental, don't push unnecessary procedures, and really care about making you comfortable. If you're due for a checkup/cleaning, I would highly recommend asking for Van! He's awesome.
