Leider kann ich die Automietung hier nicht empfehlen. Trotzdem zuerst das positive. Das Auto war gut und sehr verbrauchsarm. Hiermit hatten wir keine Probleme, nur deshalb der 2. Stern. Leider wird aber bei der Buchung nur unter einem weiterführenden Link im Kleingedruckten aufgeführt, dass man den Führerschein bereits mehr als 4 Jahre besitzen muss. Es erfolgt keinerlei Abfrage hierüber im Buchungsprozess an sich. Auch auf der Bestätigung steht keinerlei Hinweis. Man muss lediglich bestätigen, dass man über 25 Jahre alt ist, was man Freund zu dem Zeitpunkt bereits war. Leider hatte er jedoch erst knapp 2 Jahre Fahrerfahrung. Hätte ich nicht meinen Führerschein schon mehr als 4 Jahre gehabt, hätten wir unseren bereits seit Monaten gebuchten und nicht erstattbaren Roadtrip nicht durchführen können. Dazu kam, das ich eigentlich wirklich nicht fahren wollte. Wir hatten fest damit gerechnet, dass er fahren kann. Da ich aber erst 24 Jahre alt war, hieß es dann zudem, wir müssten einen "kleinen" Aufpreis zahlen. Uns wurde aber nicht gesagt, wie viel genau. Es hieß nur, dass eine Kaution von 100 € anfällt und wir einen Rabatt bekommen, da der 2. Fahrer entfällt, deshalb dachten wir, der Aufpreis wäre schon in den 100 € enthalten. Auf dem Zahlungsbildschirm standen dann auf einmal inkl. Kaution über 550 €, was für uns definitiv kein "kleiner" Aufpreis ist, da wir lange für den Urlaub gespart haben. Nach einigen Diskussionen haben wir es dann schweren Herzens akzeptiert, da wir Sixt nicht unseren gesamten Ulraub ruinieren lassen wollten. Mein Freund musste unterschreiben, dass er nicht fahren darf. Der 2. Fahrer stand trotzdem noch auf der Rechnung. Wir hatten dann dennoch einen schönen Urlaub, aber es ist ein absolutes Unding, dass die Fahrerfahrung im Buchungsprozess nicht abgefragt wird, wenn diese eine Voraussetzung darstellt. Reinste Abzocke aus meiner Sicht, da wir das Geld mit einer hohen Wahrscheinlichkeit auch nicht zurückbekommen hätten, hätten wir nicht noch eine "Lösung" gefunden. Ich empfehle hier jeden, wirklich ganz genau ins Kleingedruckte zu schauen und vielleicht eher bei einer anderen Autovermietung mit geringeren Anforderungen zu bestellen. Nach der Abgabe haben wir nichts nochmal gehört bis jetzt, deshalb hoffen wir, dass hier nichts weiteres mehr eingezogen wird. Kleines Update: Es scheint nur ein Problem zu sein, wenn man über Corporate Benefits oder die App bucht.

Achtung: 440€ Nachzahlung! In der Erinnerungsmail ein paar Tage vor Abholung stand, folgendes ist mitzubringen: • Führerschein • Personalausweis • Zahlungsmittel, das zur Zahlung verwendet wurde. Das hatten wir alles dabei. Bei der Abholung hieß es dann, dass wir 440€ mehr zahlen müssen, weil die Kreditkarte auf meine Freundin läuft, die dabei war, der Vertrag aber auf mich läuft und ich der Fahrer bin. Angeblich als Sicherheit. Wir haben dann ein kostenloses Upgrade für ein besseres Auto bekommen. Statt dem bestellten Polo einen Toyota CHR mit Vollausstattung. Der Betrag wurde nach Abgabe des Autos, von ihrer Kreditkarte abgebucht. Was irgendwie keinen Sinn macht, wenn es als Sicherheit für mich verwendet wird. Dafür hätte ich es doch per EC-Karte o.ä. vorstrecken müssen. Ich habe dann darauf den Service angeschrieben. Die Antwort war, dass ich mich nochmal melden soll, wenn das Auto abgegeben wird. Bei offenem Vertrag kann man nichts machen. Nach Abgabe des Autos habe ich mich nochmal an den Kundendienst gewendet und warte seit ein paar Tagen auf Antwort. Wenn der Kundendienst geantwortet hat, aktualisiere ich den Beitrag hier nochmal. Mein Tipp: Denn Vertrag auf den Kreditkarteninhaber abschließen und lieber die ca. 70€ für den zweiten Fahrer zahlen. Dann sollte das hoffentlich funktionieren. Wobei sie dann vielleicht trotzdem das selbe abziehen. Das Auto war gut. Einige Kratzer außen aber innen gepflegt, alles vorhanden und alle Flüssigkeiten aufgefüllt. Nachtrag: Hier die Antwort vom Kundendienst: „Sie haben sich bei Abholung für Extraservices (minimaler Selbstbehalt, Mobilitätsgarantie und Reifen/Scheibenschutz) entschieden.“ Also entweder wurde uns zusätzlicher Service unter falschen mündlichen Angaben aufgeschwatzt oder es war so gemeint, dass wir diese zusätzlichen Versicherungen abschließen müssen, weil ich nicht durch meine eigene Kreditkarte abgesichert war. Zweiteres würde Sinn ergeben und wäre dann nur schlecht erklärt worden. Aber selbst wenn dem so ist, verweise ich nochmal auf den Beginn dieser Bewertung (Erinnerungsmail) und es hätte zusätzlich „auf den Fahrer ausgestellte Kreditkarte“ aufgeführt werden müssen. Aber das steht bestimmt irgendwo im Kleingedruckten :( Randnotiz: Ich würde gerne einen Stern für mehr für das Upgrade und das gute gepflegte Auto geben, ärgere mich aber zu sehr über die hohen Zusatzkosten

Our experience with the staff at the location was great. Unfortunately, we had a tire blow while we were on the road. We had roadside assistance and full coverage insurance, but we had to pay for the price of the tire and were supposed to be reimbursed. We also had an issue with the tire pressure light on a different tire coming on at pick up that they looked at and said was fine. It continued to come on throughout our trip and we put air in almost daily and put fix a flat on it until we took it to a shop and were told that the tire was a different size from all the others and that it was in such bad shape that the wires were showing and we were lucky we weren't in an accident. At return, we were told the manager would be informed and we should be expecting a refund. I still have not received reimbursement for the tire or a refund of any type. Emails have stated it can take up to 10 working days. We returned the vehicle on June 20 and it is now July 9. They have also stopped answering emails as I sent one on July 5 with no response and still no promised funds. You can't call and speak with anyone once you've returned a rental and customer service says they have no direct line to the rental location. Very disappointing customer service, especially in light of the inconvenience and the safety hazard caused by their staff allowing a rental to go out with mismatched incorrect tires. Edited to respond: I have an email thread of 11 messages back and forth including the rental agreement number and multiple photos to the address you suggested with no resolution. I last emailed on July 5 asking for an update as that has still not been answered as of July 10.

Do not use this company if you are a young person 21. You can’t rent a car. My partner and I used this company as they were the only ones that allowed drivers under the age of 25 which is most rental agencies. Our plan was to hire the car from Dublin City Centre dealership and drive to Portrush and then come back however when going to collect the car we were told that we were unable to rent the car as we did not hold a Full license for 4 years when their website says otherwise, stating that you just need to hold a valid license from the country of origin for 4 years nothing mentioned about unrestricted and open license. We were able to make and pay for the booking and input all of my Australian license information without any setbacks from the website. The two workers on the morning of the 3rd Jan 2024 were a young man and a woman and we were consulting with the woman. The first thing she said was, “I can give you a refund” no mention of alternatives or anything else we can do. She proceeded to tell me that there was nothing she could do despite being mislead with the website information. All she could say was sorry for the misleading information and that she is aware that they need to change the information on the website pretty much taking zero responsibility. We have now had to forfeit our future hotel bookings due to this issue which she didn’t seemed too concerned by anyway. The company’s’ negligence to update the misleading information on their website has created a very terrible memory for both myself and my partner to the start of what was meant to be a lovely Irish road trip.

Recently we made a trip to Ireland with my wife and because I have been always satisfied with Sixt in the USA, I chose Sixt in Ireland too for car rental. To pick up the car at Dublin Airport could not have been easier. The agent at the desk was super helpful, he gave me invaluable suggestions for insurance protection and toll. The whole procedure was smooth and fast, probably 20 min total. Although I got used to Sixt's generous BMW cars in the USA (free upgrade always), Sixt gave me a diesel Dacia Duster with stick shift in Ireland. I had to admit after driving 1000 km in Ireland that Dacia Duster was the best choice of car I could have ever gotten. Driving from Dublin to Cork and around Southwest and West on the small narrow roads through Kerry and Clair all the way to Connemara, the Dacia felt amazingly reliable, easy driving, giving us a totally safe feeling. Remember, in Ireland you drive in the left lane, and the steering wheel is on the right side of the car. You have to be very polite on the roads as Irish people are so polite and helpful too. Also, I did not have to fill up the car until Galway, it was unbelievable. Dropping the car in Dublin at the airport was just as easy as picking her up one week before. The Sixt's agent was very helpful, respectful, the shuttle was smooth, timely. Our trip was fantastic and a great part of it was because the way Sixt treated us. Great company, they gave you a safe feeling in Ireland. I strongly recommend Sixt to everyone in Ireland. Have a nice trip!

Amateurisme et pratiques magouilleuses Mon compagnon avait loué une voiture dans cette agence à l'avance il avait tout payé par carte visa (à mon nom). Une fois arrivée à l'agence, l'employé n'a pas voulu confirmer la réservation car les noms étaient différents (carte et réservation). Il s'en référé à son responsable, qui nous a affirmé très fermement qu'il n'y avait pas de solutions. Nous avons donc cherché des solutions via d'autres agences de location. (nous étions toujours dans le bureau Six). Pendant plus de 2h nous sommes restés dans le bureau et puis miraculeusement, le responsable nous a trouvé une autre solution (qu'il proposait à un prix bien supérieur) si on acceptait l'offre, là ça ne posait plus de problème que le nom de la carte visa ne soit pas le même que le nom du conducteur... De plus il nous faisait grâce de l'assurance obligatoire. J'ai trouvé l'attitude de se responsable d'agence tout à fait scandaleuse, à la limite de la légalité... Je déconseille fortement cette agence! Encore un point sur lequel, l'agence joue pour faire payer des suppléments: la nécessité d'avoir carte de débit où 2000€ peuvent être bloqués sinon il vs faudra obligatoirement prendre une assurance complémentaire. Ce qui n'avait bien évidement pas été stipulé à l'avance. l'employé vous griffonne sur un papier le prix de l'assurance... manque de transparence total!

I had never heard of Sixt in the US, so some trepidation at the Dublin counter. Igor handled things like a champ and got me checked in and out the door pretty efficiently. The car ended up being a Ford Kuga, which is not a model here in the states so that was unusual. I would have preferred a smaller vehicle after experiencing the back roads, so get a Mini Cooper or such if you can. I took all of the insurance coverage possible which ended up being a good thing. There was a very large stick that somehow got in the undercarriage and punctured the water coolant line. That coupled with all of the scratches down the left side of the car from hedges on every back road, and it was nice to not be burdened with extra paperwork when I turned the car in. The roadside assistance worked out easily for me because I luckily broke down fifteen minutes away from a service center. Calling in to the number which was very clearly available on the paperwork that I took from the rental counter was easy and the guys on the other end were very helpful. Don't know when I will travel and need a rental car in another country again, but I will be happy to see if this brand is available there. Expérience mitigée pour notre location de 2 jours dans ce Sixt. Pour les bons points : - personnel accueillant et compréhensif à l'agence. - voiture propre et fonctionnelle Maintenant, les points négatifs (ça va être long) : Au moment de payer et récupérer le véhicule, il est obligatoire et non négociable d'utiliser la même carte de crédit pour tous les frais sans exception. Le problème est donc le suivant : avec une caution de 2000€ (qui est un retrait bancaire immédiat et non juste une empreinte bancaire),+ le prix de la location + une caution pour l'essence (100€ dans notre cas), on arrive rapidement à des montants exorbitants que la plupart des banques n'autorisent pas en frais journaliers (voir mensuels). De plus, cet argent est bloqué par Sixt jusqu'à 10jours après la fin de la location, et ce, même si le véhicule a été rendu sans problème. À noter que, si vous ne choisissez pas la caution de 2k€, vous devrez prendre une assurance de 160€ environ minimum. Dans l'idée, la location était fiable, mais loin d'être accessible, ni simple à réaliser. Je ne recommande pas aux personnes pressées, ou alors prévoyez à l'avance avec votre banque pour obtenir un plafond élevé sur votre CB.

Hele nare ervaring was het!! Ze houden een warrig verhaal, krabbelen bedragen en teksten en tekeningetjes op papier, overleggen zo genaamd met collega, overdonderen je met opties en lieten ons of 800 euro bijbetalen of we verloren de volledige boeking! Ik Boek echt nooit meer daar!! We kregen een wazig verhaal over dat we te vroeg waren en dat ze dus nog geen schone auto hadden, later terug moesten komen. (Er stond inmiddels een rij van meer dan 30 mensen achter ons dus niet geaccepteerd dat we 20min later terug moesten komen) toen moesten ze ons dag extra rekenen omdat we voor 10uur waren, ook niet geaccepteerd maar wel gewoon blijven staan bij de balie. En ineens was onze auto er, schoon en wel, sleutel in zakje welke daar al die tijd lag! Ineens was er administratief iets niet goed en kon alleen opgelost worden door €800,- bij te betalen. Als we dat niet deden verviel onze reservering en waren we betaalde boekingsgeld van 2100 euro ook kwijt en hadden we geen auto. Met de rug tegen de muur en mes op onze keel betaald, anders hadden we niks. Bleek de buitenspiegel van de auto stuk te zijn, weer terug. Ineens was een upgrade en nieuw contract in 1 Minuut geregeld, heel Bijzonder

My car rental experience was nothing short of exceptional from start to finish! As I was being shuttled to the terminal, I suddenly realized I had misplaced my wallet. The momentary panic was instantly quelled when the bus driver, a true embodiment of exceptional customer service, assured me with a comforting smile and said, 'Don't worry, sir. I'll stay with you until we thoroughly search every place you've been before returning to the rental lot.' To my relief, it turned out that my wallet had been left behind at a nearby gas station, close to the terminal. This act of unwavering dedication and willingness to go the extra mile left an indelible impression on me. Wir haben im voraus einen Wagen ueber die sixt Homepage gebucht. Am terminal selbst musste ich ein wenig warten da alle Schalter belegt waren und die Kunden vor mir ausführlich beraten werden wollten. Was ich selbst nicht weiter tragisch finde, das recht hat an sich jeder Kunde. Nach dem klaren der Formalitäten ging es via bustrabsfee von sixt direkt zur fahrzeugausgabe. Hier haben wir wmdas Fahrzeug für unseren Urlaub ohne Probleme erhalten. Wir mussten hier zwar ein paar Minuten warten, da wir aber zwei Stunden früher angekommen sind als geplant ist auch das für mich akzeptabel. Das Fahrzeug wies zwar hier und da ein paar kleinere Kratzer auf, diese habe ich zur Vorsicht zwar vor Ort fotografiert, da es bei der Rückgabe aber keine Probleme gab sehe ich auch darin keine großes Probleme. Insgesamt kann ich sagen würde ich beim nächsten Irland Urlaub wieder bei sixt ein Fahrzeug buchen.

À fuir, nous ne recommandons pas du tout ! Nous avons loué une voiture Sixt (Seat Arona) à l'aéroport de Dublin avec mon ami Philippe Garcin. La voiture est tombée en panne à cause d'un problème moteur au bout de trois jours. Il nous était impossible d'accéler (le moteur montait en régime et impossible d'aller plus vite que 60 km/h avec une odeur de brûlé, la voiture ne faisant que ralentir. Nous nous sommes arrêtés, car le voyant EPS indiquait un problème de moteur. L'appel d'urgence de la compagnie ne nous a même pas aidé ! Nous avons dû prendre le taxi à nos frais car nous avions une réservation pour la nuit à 1h30 de route du lieu de la panne. Nous avons eu la surprise d'apprendre que Sixt nous facturait la nouvelle voiture de remplacement (plus de 300€). L'entreprise nous a donné un véhicule défectueux et ce n'est pas à nous de payer pour ça !

The car we got had no rear windshieldwiper. We drove through Ireland and a tire popped. We called sixt, they said we needed to go to someone to fix it and pay upfront and we would get the money back when returning the car. Said and done. When we brought the car back the guy simply said "tires are not covered in the contract but at least you made it back" yeah thanks. So either the person at the callcentre lied when we called or the guy at the reception is too lazy to do their job. Apparently you would have needed to add some tire insurance as well in addition to the insane you alrey pay for theft and accidents. (Like there isn't enough extra insurance options already) We even bought a new wiper ourselves for them to keep it and they didn't even said anything. Would definitely not go there again and cannot recommend at all!

After a long trans-Atlantic flight, it was a relief to have a smooth, trouble free car rental experience at the airport terminal itself. Sixt had the family minivan that we needed for five adults and luggage which we had reserved ahead of time. The agent at the desk was a good explainer and problem solver to make sure we understood the return process as well as good tips and reminders on how to remember to drive on the left side of the road. Dropping the car off at the terminal was also a seamless transaction. Thank you for your pleasant helpfulness to your travelling customers. I have often used Sixt in our European travels, and now I've added it as a go to rental here in the states.

Mi sono affidato a Sixt Car perché era la compagnia che mi garantiva le opzioni assicurative di cui avevo bisogno, ho apprezzato la chiarezza espressa nel contratto, il ritiro in aereoporto è stato semplice e veloce, ci si reca nel banco al terminal 1, si firma il contratto e all'uscita del terminal si aspetta la navetta che ti porta nel parcheggio dove si trova la vettura. Le strade irlandesi sono molto buone ma mi è stata data un auto adatta al mio viaggio e questo è stato importante per me. Consiglio questo noleggio senza esprimere nessun timore perché non ho nulla da eccepire, il prezzo era in linea con le altre compagnie ma ho avuto più tutela assicurativa.

Abbiamo prenotato la macchina su internet al costo di 40 euro circa per un giorno, arrivati lì , il commesso (Mr Santana) ci ha convinti a pagare in anticipo la benzina ( tariffa 90€ ) addebitandola insieme al resto, per poi scoprire nei giorni successivi che non era rimborsabile( avremmo usato massimo 40 euro, esagerando ). Il tutto è inserito nel contratto ma non viene menzionato nella spiegazione dei termini, ipotizzo facendo leva sulla comprensione linguistica che nel nostro non è sicuramente madrelingua , ma neanche scarsa ... Eviterei .. 140 euro totali per un giorno. Unica nota positiva ci hanno lasciato liberi di tornare anche oltre l orario segnato

We traveled to Ireland for our first time in Sept. 2023. It was on our bucket list for years. So as a pre 65th birthday gift for my husband we went! We hesitated about driving but we did. After checking online for all the rental companies Sixt car rental was by far the best option. We traveled for 17 days and it was so unbelievably beautiful there. The car was a hybrid and was fantastic. From being to end Sixt was there for everything we needed. I would highly recommended them for a car rental and will tell anyone traveling that they are the ones to use. Thank you for giving us an opportunity of a life time to see Ireland in all its beauty!

I have rented cars from just about every company at Dublin or Shannon airports over the last 20 years. I wish I had gone to Sixt years ago as renting a car Ireland often leaves the one bad taste in the mouth from a trip. My experience with them was the opposite from start to finish. Rob at Shannon was a sweetheart - really took care of me, Explained the insurance clearly so I could choose what I needed, gave me a great car at a reasonable rate. The return at Shannon was a most efficient and simple one-man operation…staffed by another lovely employee. I’ll be back - and will recommend Sixt to my family and friends from now on. Thank you!

2nd time using Sixt from Dublin Airport, the service this time was just as good as the last. Personal thanks to Bernie on the rental desk who was great at sorting out all the paperwork etc as well as good conversation during this time. The car collection process is easy, quick shuttle bus to the car park where you collect the keys. The car was clean and well presented on collection. Return process was just as smooth, a welcome back was received from Jakub who checked over the car and guided me back to the bus collection point. Another trip due early next year and I won't hesitate to book Sixt again. Great service. Thank you.

Superb experience. Mr. Pavel was really diligent walking me through the whole process and details of my booking. It was quick and he really wanted us to have a great time with our car. It was definitely appreciated. I will definitely be using more Sixt bookings if not only Sixt for the future. As they say "you get what you pay for". And the service from Sixt is always on the highest level. And the return process was super easy as the parking garage where they are located is 24/7 operated so can just leave the car there and drop the keys in their Sixt locker. I attempted a simple date change on my reservation and faced a series of challenges with SIXT: 1. System Flaw: The booking system wrongly changed my vehicle class. 2. Misleading Advice: Was advised by their rep to cancel and rebook. Did so, only to face more complications. 3. Poor Communication: I was shuffled between different regional teams without a clear solution. 4. No Direct Assistance: Despite multiple requests, couldn’t get a call from a supervisor. 5. Inflated Costs: Through all their errors, the price for my booking skyrocketed. A week later, my issue is still unresolved. Truly a regrettable experience.

The service was good. The person behind the counter explained all the different options for insurance and what they meant. The was no queue to wait at. We got a free upgrade to a better car. The parking complex was clean. The return process was quick as well. HOWEVER - The car turned on a warning light regarding tire pressure after 1 hour of driving. We had to stop and fill up air which was not fun and was messy. The pressure meter said that there was no flat tires but the overall pressure was lower than expected. ALSO, we had to do this AGAIN on the way back! Same warning lights and same issue as above.

They let me rent a car at age 23, which was great (although about twice as expensive, but that's how it goes), and the pickup experience was smooth. I took pictures of the obvious scratches on the car beforehand, but when I turned the car back in, the attendant asked me about a pea-sized dent in the corner of the car door (which was not from me), and didn't even look at the rest of the car once I told him I didn't have a picture of it. My experience that was proven good at pick up went upside down… In the pick up I was suggested to include the tyres protection and I was quite happy (what explains my good evaluation at pick up), BUT after using the road service (middle of Dublin city), where I need to wait one hour, a quite rude service (it’s a 3rd party , I can understand), had to pay despite having the insurance, they took long to send a receipt, I need to give back the car with no receipt and now, asking for the reimburse 230 euros, it was informed I can receive only 83….. So no,,,, the experience turn really bad.

Fraudulent Reviews. BEWARE!! Never ever trust a company (and especially not a car rental company) with so many 5 star reviews from people with zero or one additional review; it's a massive red flag! 0.01% chance they're not using a farm somewhere to generate these high marks ... and our experience with them was terrible. BEWARE of additional insurance charges at the counter unless you have a credit card with 5000 on it for a 'hold' against damage you're liable for ... Lesser liability begins at an additional €250 above what you've likely paid.

The wait to rent the car was long and they were understaffed, there were dings and scratches all over the car which didn’t effect the function, but none of these things were covered in the rental process which makes a person nervous that they might be accused of the damage, the car was half full of petrol, the front tires were low on air and the cruise control didn’t work, they charged more than the advertised rate from the website and their app is totally useless.. apart from these things.. the staff was very nice!

If I could give a 10 star review I would. I made 2 big mistakes when I rented from Sixt Car Hire. Both were 100% my fault. The staff could not have been any better at helping work through my situation and I was able to get on my way quickly, happily, and with just having had a phenomenal customer service experience. I wish we had this level of customer care in the US. I will be back to Ireland and will ALWAYS use Sixt as a result of the way they treated me and helped me work through my own mishaps.

At peak times, one can wait as long as one hour, so book you time arrival for car pick up well. Also, the guarantee is way too high compared to the rest of Europe (at least 1500€-but that's all over Ireland). Still one can pay either 16€/day to reduce it to a lower fare or a full 24€/day to reduce to 0. Car was brand new, everything was ok. Bring your own navigation if possible in order to spare some money (a cellphone with a car support works as well). For the lowest fara I got a Hyundai i10.

Il faut garer sa voiture au 5eme étage (le dernier) alors que ce parking est très étroit et pas pratique. Ensuite il faut descendre au niveau 0 (pas de panneaux pour trouver l'étage de Sixt). Et surtout ,il faut faire la queue car il n'y a pas de box pour rendre les clefs. C'est une perte de temps terrible. C'est bas de gamme.... Peut-on imaginer une box pour déposer les clefs à l'avenir ? Ou des panneaux pour expliquer aux usagers que le bureau Sixt se trouve tout en bas du parking?

Excellent attention from front office team. Car spotless. No complaints. EDIT: Sadly, downhill from then on. I was double-billed on my credit card - a common practice for hires paid by credit card by certain car-hire companies in Ireland - so my bank tells me. I understand from my bank that this double charge is likely to be reversed by Sixt - but only after several weeks. Further, the cash deposit paid to cover tolls and the like has not been refunded. This is not acceptable.

I'm picking up my car right now. I am always in the carpark. A lot of damage to my bodywork has not been noted. The employee comes over and tells me that he's going to change the contract and that my ohotos are a thing of the past because there's a date. It's now 2.45pm. I leave the car park without an up-to-date contract... 10 minute later.14h55 pm I've just tried to get out of the car park. They'd forgotten to give me the parking card. I'm not at all reassured.

Very good experience. The day before we needed the car we went to the office to ask some questions, and we leaved the office with a car booked for the next day (both days, between 10-11 AM, the waiting time was around 20 minutes). Instructions clear, everything easy (something very important for foreing people), and an automatic car (VW T-Roc) for a good price (full insurance). I recently rented a car twice from Sixt while in Dublin and the service was excellent! I was able to reserve a car in both instances without issue. I wanted an automatic since I’m not used to lefthand drive and not have to worry about shifting while driving and was rented a very nice Toyota. The reservation & checkout was fast and easy and the return was as well. I highly recommended them if ever in need of a rental.

Really convenient, short walk from our hotel in Dublin. Booking was super easy. Great customer service, and speedy check-in to get the car. Car was onsite in well-lit, safe public parking garage. Clear & easy after-hours drop-off as well. Terrible! Do not use! Scam artist, we stopped and cleaned the car, but they still charger 200 for cleaning and kept our deductible. Use enterprise. When we switched it was great. No one I know will ever use this company. We had 3 cars, all switched. Thank god. Plus one worker at counter for multiple people In line, took forever. Look at all the one stars, there is a reason for that!!!

My short term rental went smoothly with Sixt. Their reps are very close to the arrivals point and a shuttle is provided to the car location. They do take a deposit of 100 euro to cover tolls. My toll activity was less than $10. Unused portion to be refunded. Car was fine for my needs. It did have minor nicks and scratches but these were well documented in the contract.

Very helpful at check-in and made sure the car and the trunk space met what we needed. Emphasized scratch insurance which is essential when driving Ireland's back roads. It made driving less stressful when encountering a tractor on a back "two-lane' road. We liked that we could get the car in Downtown Dublin and then turn it in at Shannon Airport later in the week.

We had a very good hire from Sixt at Dublin Airport. The collection was easy and car was available on time. It was a Kia Ceed with 11k on the odometer. The car was clean and had a sat navigation system. The handover was also very well organised as was the transfer back to T1. On this hire I would recommend Sixt for car hire at Dublin.

Got a 7 seater car at the last minute during peak time (July/August) in Ireland. Extended the time we had the car without any hassle. Very good customer experience for an American traveling in Ireland; ensured we had an Automatic transmission, and provided us with everything necessary to drive from Republic of Ireland to UK/Northern Ireland. Overall, renting a car at the Sixt in Dublin City Centre was a fair deal. Pleasant, knowledgeable staff. Clean car. I rented at noon on a Wednesday and thought it was a three-day rental - until noon on Saturday, with a one-hour grace period. I returned the car at 12:30pm. When I got the invoice I was charged for four days.

Not to be trusted. We booked via a third party Holiday Autos, who gave a booking ref, pick up Cork, return Dublin. Sixt allocated their own booking ref, and told us we were to return to Cork - thus ignoring the booking made. We had to start again from scratch, and add costly insurance too. Car was nice!
