New restaurant in an old hotel in Drumcondra. The refurbishment done inside the restaurants is really nice and brightened up the place. We went here for a Sunday dinner. For starter we got small portions of prawn skewers and sticky wings, both were amazing. The skewers had a sweet chilli taste to them and the wings were spicy. Although there wasn't much blue cheese taste from the dressing. For mains we got rack of pork with creamy potato and slider trio (lamb, beef burger and pulled pork). The pork was in very generous potions and really juicy and well cooked. The trio was good as well although a bit dry. The pulled pork was best of three. The staffs were really nice and friendly too.

It was so good and Ada was the best waitress. I had the sea bass and it was very flavorful. I would recommend coming and defiantly asking for Ada. She was warm, friendly and make sure our needs was met

Ada was a fantastic server! She was very kind and helpful in every way. I had a wonderful ribeye steak! When it came down to ordering dessert, I was curious about what Christmas pudding was and she explained what it was. I opted for the brownie which was delicious but then she surprised us with two servings of warmed delicious Christmas pudding! Thank you Skylon and Ada for great food and service.

Visited for a meal 16-04-23. Keeping things short you have a 4 star grade, why not show it with some imagination with the food. Would I be correct in saying that you lean heavily on mash potatoes, broccoli and carrots. Like a throwback to rural hotels back in the 70's. Had the fish and chips and while edible there was very little fish to be found inside dark brown batter. Only live across the road so handy to frequent for a glass if wine, but the food is stuck in a time warp. If you are not a lover if above 3 veggies you will struggle.

Enjoyed a great meal for two here. Friendly staff. Well cooked food. Great atmosphere. Very enjoyable over all, will be back again soon.

Saturday came for dinner without a reservation, were few tables available, Staff, especially lady M. very welcoming and fast with taking orders. Got drinks first the coffee with came with brown sugar and delicious biscuit. The food order was well cooked and delicious portions are quite big. Writhing now for deserts and bill. The atmosphere is fab. Really recommend this place. See the pictures,. The dessert was tasty, bill$$ Ciao!

Waitresses forgot drink orders on more than one occasion, food was below par, was extremely difficult to get any attention from the waiting staff. In addition to this there was absolutely no vegetarian option on the menu and the dish offered by the chef was very poor (although not as poor as the rest of our meals). Overall very disappointed, won't be taking my business here again.

We stayed at the Skylon hotel twice and ate the Bar and Grill both times we were there. First of all, the waitressing staff were so attentive and friendly both times. The food was great, especially the seafood chowder and sticky toffee pudding! The French fries weren’t the best but other than that, 5/5 for everything. If you’re staying at the hotel or nearby, I recommend!!

Lovely spot for a family Sunday catch up. Service was excellent, great atmosphere but food was a little disappointing. Starters and desserts were fabulous but veg with main course was at best lukewarm and was more undercooked than al dente. Having said that the experience was enjoyable overall.

Was staying in the Skylon Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my time. All the staff, especially the evening restaurant staff, we're very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very comfortable, all with fans, tea/coffee facilities and very nice toiletries. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again

Just had lunch and it was horrible. I ordered a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and i couldnt eat it, it wasnt really toasted and the ham and cheese looked like rubber. My 3 yr old son ordered a hamburger and chips and the burger was a mans portion. So disappointed. Definitely will not be back.

Very bland on flavours, and the chicken supreme was truly terrible, way to dry and overcooked, the veggies were looking something like from the hospital canteen. Although loved the starters, wasn't sure if the duck pate was homemade, was expecting a bit more .

The best place in Dublin to hang out with friends and family. If you are in Dublin for holidays, make sure you are going to stay in the best hotel in Dublin. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely, I recommend this place

Expensive for what it is. Used to be cheaper, since renovation prices have skyrocketed. 1 course for 4 people ended up being €100. Maybe some people are used to paying like this, as a local to the area I am not.

Not great today, 2 tv's on, one with soccer and one with Rugby, no sound on either, the lounge is not big enough for both tv's, so we had to watch the Rugby without commentary, Ireland v Italy ,left at

Chicken Karrage is wonderful, followed by profiteroles, spectacular. If you like cocktails this is the place to come, the girls and lads behind the bar will make pretty much anything you wish. More

Lovely lobby and hotel bar. Haven't stayed there, but drop in regularly for a drink as a local.. Staff are great and there's always a nice atmosphere.
