Constant issues with the readers, as I travel to and from work via this station I get to stand there for a few minutes 3 out of 5 days trying to touch in or out depending on a day while other people push to use the gate I am trying to get through. I used multiple cards there with the same result. It is frustrating and with the volume of people going through that station it is also quite stressful. I do not stand to close to the gate nor do I have issues using my cards anywhere else yet one of your staff member dared to tell me it's my card that is an issue without even giving me a glance. Considering the amount of money we spend on the travel with the tube every month and the fact we are paying customers I'd expect much more. I started this review giving you 2 stars as the station is really clean but the consistently undermaintained readers and staff not caring about it does not deserve more than one.
It is a square at the north east end of King's Road in Chelsea. High end shops surround the square and it is usually busy and bustling. There is a tube station here so access is easy from a variety of locations. Buses too frequent the area. You can cross to the centre of the square where you can buy something to drink and eat, but would you really want to whilst you were surrounded by pollution producing traffic?
Always my ultimate destination in the city. I have family nearby. There's plenty to see and do in the vicinity, notably mueums -and Hyde Park is fairly close. Plenty of diversity and a range of pubs and restaurants. Arriving here and accessing London proper is much more pleasant than getting trampled in the larger tube stops. My best day in London will always be Kew Gardens. Train or bus.
Interchanges - Circle/District line interchanges very simple as both lines run on the same tracks and platforms. Fun fact - It's worth stopping here, getting off and waiting for the next train if you're interested in the lost rivers of London. The pipe above the platforms contains the River Westbourne. I do it occasionally even now!
As a regional interloper alighting at Sloane Square, I thought it prudent to consume two bottles of Lucozade before arrival. The expectation was one of trouble afoot, so I took the mentioned precaution. No such incident. Left quietly and returned in much the same manner half an hour later. Three thumbs up.
Very nice station. It's simple and it's only busy in peak hours. Also the green bridge/pipe going over the station (As can be seen on the tenth picture) is carrying/carried one of the lost London rivers. The river came in the way when building the station, so they made a bridge for it.
The best place in Chelsea. It offers plenty of shopping and eating options. A very nice place to visit and hang out with friends and family. There's one most popular indian restaurant called kutir. It's worth trying and worth every penny
Great station and good location ,Sloane Square is a London Underground station in Chelsea, serving Sloane Square. It is served by the District and Circle lines, between South Kensington and Victoria stations and is in Travelcard Zone 1
Pleasant Chelsea square with two platform District and Circle Line station in a cutting. Opened in 1868, there has been some modernisation since, but still essentially a station designed and built during the reign of Queen Victoria.
Served by the district and circle lines, this is the nearest station for Kings Road shopping and the nearby Saatchi gallery. It was rebuilt in 1951 after the original station was destroyed by a German bomb in 1940 killing 37 people.
Really easy to get to and around. Didn't feel too crowded even though it was lunch hour and people were, as always, very polite and helpful. I enjoyed my journey as it wa safe so easy but the staff and understanding people around.
Platforms below street level no lifts, upward escalators only There aren't many train stations that a river flows over your head on the platform. Seriously, that big square pipe above the platform carries the Westbourne River
Just come through Sloan Square tube line 20:40 Monday 19th September. Customer service assistant Tim extremely helpful explained about oyster and how to check balance. Expanded about caped spend for the day. Thanks Tim.
No step free access. No toilets ( John Lewis / Peter Jones store nearby ). Good shop on westbound platform, nice lamb samosas. Go visit David Mellor cookshop nearby, great place. Royal Court theatre bang outside.
This photo is a part from Flower festival. There are many places around the square decorated in such a beautiful blooms. In the beginning of this festival is too crowded but it is good to see it.
How can I say anything good about Tfl? They are incompetent. It is the most expensive public transport in the world. And probably the dirtiest. Sometimes it's actually quicker to walk to work.
It's nice. It's the greenest station I know. And I don't mean it's got a small carbon footprint, I mean everything is a shade of green. It's like it a set location off The Matrix.
Sits ar the crossroads of major "arteries" SW London - everything is within an easy reach from there from shopping mall to an art galleries thus never boring place to visit
When the trains run it’s all good - nice touch having a cafe nero inside the station too. Don’t bother with the shop on the platform - too expensive and coffee is no good
Old central London city tube station Around lot of shops, restaurants, coffee...and beautiful area, connected with porsh The Boltons, Chelsea...Kingsbridge. …
Great place to visit alway buzzing great bars and restaurants, great shopping and your start of the Kings Road chelsea. Lots of charming people walking about.
7 days a week this is how Sloane Square and the entire London underground is. Literally packed in like sardines (and we pay 4 the pleasure)
Clean station near King's Road Chelsea. Regular service on the Circle and District lines. River westbourne runs over the top of the station
Love Sloane Square. This is my favourite spot. Can't wait for the Covid thing to end, so I can enjoy their outdoor tree tables again.
Getting here. Travecl by. Sloane square tube station (on the District and circle Line) is a 10 - minutes walk from the showground.
Nice well-maintained tube station in a nice part of town. Access around the entrance could be easier as traffic is horrendous.
It was closed when I arrived, which is the way I used to like it but not so much now. Five stars for the effort.
It was a magical night, when we all listened to carols and watched Santa turning on the Christmas lights!
I came here to see Chelsea in bloom and was not disappointed. Beautiful displays all round
In the heart of Chelsea, Sloane Square is a nice little square with plenty of nice shops
Good interchange station (District & Circle lines), centrally located and well serviced
This tube station is located in the best part of London you could ever visit.
Avoid if you have heavy luggage, you will have to lift them up the stairs
This is also the metro stop to the Chelsea flower show every year in May
A buzzing square, only criticism is the traffic noise and pollution.
This station is not open in the morning!? What idiocy is this?
