I’m currently looking to sell my house and potentially move across the country. With that said, I have so many valuable things that I hate to have to sell but I really need the money. Luis at Smart Pawn went over and beyond to help me price my valuables and to treat them with the respect they deserve, seeing as I hate to give them up. I previously visited Cash America to sell my items and can honestly say I feel sick doing so now that I know Smart Pawn is right down the street. From the moment I walked in, funky Christmas music and air conditioning met me along with Luis, who was so very welcoming and easy to talk to. Luis wasn’t pushy and also wasn’t stubborn with negotiating like most corporate pawn shops. He actually WORKED with me and kept it very professional. Not only did I walk away happy with the transactions we executed, but I also got Luis’ card so that I can bring him the rest of my belongings to sell before I move. I’ve done business with these guys for a while now and truthfully it was great at first but now it seems like the business is taking a turn for the worst. when I normally get behind two payments Im usually able to make the minimum monthly interest payment to extend my loan another 30 days however out of nowhere they try to enforce a policy that requires you to pay all accumulated interest in order to keep your items which is understandable if it was enforced on day one but they let you get away with for a while and try to switch up no matter if you have good history Not proud to say I have done this multiple times with them BUT, I never let an item forfeit. And this varies from store to store so beware of new rules that may be created out of nowhere probably will find another shop once I get my items out.

My experience in this store was less than favorable, when I got in the store there was ONE guy ahead of me. That took forever because he was bartering with the lady, Over some machines that didn't even have serial numbers, needless to say he got her to go up on the prices. Once I got to the counter she still wanted to wait on everyone other than me. Called herself multitasking, not doing a very good job at it cause I'm still just standing there... on the verge of frustration because I could not believe the type of customer service I was receiving after reading such good reviews online. This was my very FIRST and LAST trip to a pawn shop, I left there feeling insulted because I wasn't a regular.

The whole staff at smart pawn are really awesome. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are totally satisfied with your experience..wether it be a loan ,sale or purchase. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Evelyn when i made my recent purchase at smart pawn on south Blvd and she did a great job of helping me and also getting me a great price on my item . She made me feel like i wasnt just a customer but more like i was a friend and we were shopping together. I will definitely be returning for future purchases and will for sure recommend smart pawn to anyone for their purchase or loan needs.

I had a wonderful experience at Ez Pawn! Everyone is so nice and friendly. Yvette is such an amazing manager. Very attentive and with a great personality. Alisha is funny and is great with her customers. Ashley and John are both great with there customers as well. Smart Pawn & Jewelry staff are a friendly, nice, and very helpful. I got my daughter a XBOX1 for Christmas 2 year ago the guy that helped me pick it out went above and beyond when I told he she really wanted a pink one but didn’t make them he gave me the name of a website to get a skin from it made her day when she open a hot pink XBOX1 on Christmas. Came back this year before Christmas and got my youngest daughter a hover board. With two small kids and not being able to afford brand new smart pawn was the way to go will continue to do business with them.

Great service, friendly and professional/ staff will work with you on pricing... very attentive when you come in with questions very helpful. "Sandy" worked both a purchase and the layaway quickly and professionally.I enjoy stopping in from time to time, they always have new items for sale, one of the better pawn shops in town there are also three other locations. much better than the Chain of other Pawns. more of a friendly down home old school pawn shop atmosphere. Not impressed, the associates allowed 5$ to stop a sale on a coach pocketbook that was priced at 19.99. The pocketbook was grey woth 2 different pinks. It was covered in stain noy light ones. Im completely surprised that they even bought it from someone even the inside was dirty. I offered 15.00 even. They flat out said no. 20 no tax. I showed them all the stains . Unbelieveable.evidently its more valuable dirty an on the shelve to be tossed in the trash. I do alot of business with smart pawn , cash america etc. Will never be bk.

This place is amazing they are honest hard working people no low ball pricing and no judgmental staring I've been there twice this past week and they were my first times going there yet I felt like family Chad helped me the second time around but the first time I came the tall light skinned brother helped me and he was an amazing rep as well. Will definatly be going back soon ps the inside of the shop is a whole vibe, best pawn shop in NC hands down

All 3 of the Johns that run the place are kind gentleman and are right on site , for me it goes past excellent customer service and product . It is the meaning behind what they do , I came there on a day that they were closed and they still helped me and went the extra mile for me , they made sure they had the item I was looking for and even put it aside for me , that’s above and beyond and it means the most !! This is one of the best pawn shops from the prices to the great customer service I’ve been shopping here for going on a years and never had a bad experience they are friendly very knowledgeable they do not push you to purchase I don’t feel like it’s just a transaction but more of a friendship even when i go in just to window shop I don’t feel uncomfortable and the layaway plane is great to I would recommend this place to everyone

*Avoid this place* I went in to make a purchase and while the employees were discussing the price of the item, where i could hear them, i heard the exchange "does he have money? - he's white" The prices are high and they clearly aren't real straight forward. There are more reputable chains down the street with better prices and more professional staff. Avoid this place.

We purchased a guitar that was not very expensive. The name and the look of the guitar is what made us cry. My niece Lauren passed and was an excellent guitar player. The gentlemen gave us a great deal and a great case. He went out of his way carrying it to our car as we cried. Thank you for that blessed experience. We will be back.

don't bring your jewelry in there...it's a grimmy low class place. The large lady had no idea what she was doing...she gave me back my ring with file marks and burnt. It's bad enough that I have to sell my deceased mother ring, but to destroy it...REALLY? no wonder they have nothing on there shelves worth anything...oh I'm so mad.

This was my first time visiting a pawn shop and my experience was so refreshingly easy. I was in a bind and needed to sell some electronics and a watch I no longer needed. I feel the price offered for my items was more than fair. I was there less than an hour total. I will definitely return to buy or sell again in the future.

These guys havve been excellent , servuce was great ,not only did they get me what I needed during g a job change, but they let me make my payments to keep my things without coming In and being across the nation for months I haven't even seen home , today I arrived and look forward to picking my things up:)

I bought an item from them through Facebook but had some issues on Facebooks end, they contacted me through messenger and made arrangements with me to get my item. When I arrived to pick it up the staff was very helpful. The prices are low and items are very nice. I highly recommend these guys and gals!

I googled this facility to find, upon entering approached the counter and two emp. was entertaining a customer that they would not help.Waited patiently, and pawned a item. They require a great deal too retrieve your item. But overall it was acceptable given I choose too do business there.

Went in to purchase a gun store clerk wasn’t helpful wasn’t welcoming. When doing the application for gun permit he didn’t help me! Never explained the application just gave me the tablet and walked away! sale agent act as if he didn’t
