Hello! My name is Nick I am a first time user at storage and first time customer at this place. I signed a lease and paid 2 months upfront. I was told to buy a lock and that’s what I did and signed the lease and everything I was supposed to do. I had to pick up my U-Haul and I was running late. Not one mention of my storage being locked after they close at 2pm. Now I have my entire one bedroom apartment with valuables and all. In the back of my U-Haul! I have until 10pm to use my storage when I can’t even access it. I now have to risk getting all my stuff stolen from the back of my U-Haul. Leaving it out over night. I’m beyond frustrated!!! This is the worst experience I have ever dealt with. Customer service all they can do is call someone. I am expecting compensation and so much more if I don’t have someone come open this storage I paid for! Asap !!! Highly recommends not to rent storage here!! This is my first day not even a full 24hours! I’m already dealing with the worst of the worst with this company!!

The units are nice and well-kept. Overall the facility is clean and safe. Have enjoyed getting to know the staff that work in the office. They generally have been friendly, although not always able to admit when they make a mistake. However, any problems have eventually been worked out. The issue is with their supervisor. Dan is so focused on making sure that no one is living in their units that he will falsely accuse those who are not. He is intrusive including asking questions about what people are doing and their whereabouts. Also makes up new rules that only apply to certain tenants. These rules cannot be found in the lease nor are they posted for all tenants to abide by. This place could be 5-stars but due to the way he interacts with the tenants I have downgraded to 1.

We have been with this storage place for over 2 years. It was another company when we first rented a unit. They were severely overcharging. We did not find out until after Smart Stop took over. We almost lost the unit until Austin figured out we were overpaying even Smart Stop. We redid our lease and moved to a smaller unit. It has not been 6 months since we signed the new lease however now they are raising our rent again and we are going to be pretty close to paying what we’re paying when we were overpaying for the bigger unit in the first place. I don’t know who the woman I spoke to was but all she had to say is every 6 months rents increase. Not recommended anymore.

I’ve been using this storage location for the past three years. In that time I have had questions come up or need support in one way or another. Through this, I’ve dealt mostly with Tanya and she is the epitome of good customer service. Friendly and courteous, she makes it all a pleasant experience. So thank you Tanya. In addition, the facility is clean, well lit, temp controlled and safe. I don’t have a concern storing my items here. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others, although the price may reflect all that it provides.

As a Mobile DJ for the 40 years, I had the pleasure of storing my equipment with several different storage companies here in the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix). Smart Stop storage here at Baseline & 48th st is by far the best storage facility I’ve encountered. Staff always pleasant, courteous and friendly. The staff does a superb job keeping the facility neat and clean! True professionals! Keep up the good work!

Tanya is on point in making sure you get what ur asking for or need. Each time I have went into the office she knows exactly how to assist. She is seen walking around the property doing multiple things for people and making sure things are working properly. She is dedicated to helping her customers. I had a concern about dollys not being available and now see them available at each visit.

I recently started renting a temperature controlled unit here, and I couldn't be happier! The manager, Tonie, kindly reached out to me early on in the rental process to make sure that I was renting a unit appropriate for my needs. He is exceedingly helpful and makes you feel confident that your things are stored in good hands. Very glad I took my business here, highly recommend.

Honestly best storage in Phoenix. If I could leave 10 stars I would. We would not have been able to move our washer and dryer without the help of Tanya and Austin. They have the best customer service! We’ve had our storage unit here for over 2 years now, and have had no issues and everyone at the front office is always so helpful and nice!! Definitely recommend this location.

12/2023 new review. This is my second time renting at this location, and let me tell ya! Tania gave me the best "welcome back" positive energy. I love renting at this location, plus they always make sure they do a follow up call. Awesome communication skills, and presentation. I specially love how flexible they were when showing other size storage units.

I have never left a review before, but after dealing with Austin at this location, I had to leave one. He is AWESOME!! Very informative, great attention to detail, and he listens to all questions and knows just what to do if there are any questions or problems. If you need a unit, come here and see Austin! Excellent experience! Every person I dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I even left my keys out of state and Tanya was so kind to provide solutions! She immediately took away my panic. Could not have asked for a better experience with price, cleanliness of facility, or outstanding staff. They all made moving so much easier!

SmartStop Self Storage has been great. Bryan was very friendly, helpful, & professional with explaining all the different options available...he was also very patient as I was a little indecisive on the size of the unit I wanted. I have been with smartstop self storage for a few years as I travel alot aand cannot say that I have had any issues with the unit or customer service. They have always been courteous and greT about assisting me with whatever I needed in person and when I was abroad. I would definitely recommend them.

I’ve had my storage for over a year and have had nothing but a great experience! The staff is nice, efficient and knowledgeable. I had to transfer from a large storage to a smaller one for a few things that needed to stay and Tanya made that transfer seem less! I recommend Smartstop to anyone!!

I came in cuz I needed a bigger storage and jus paid the rent on my old smaller storage. Tanya helped me do a transfer to make it cheaper since I didn't qualify for the 50% off so she got me a much better deal that way. Tanya was amazing , funny n helpful. Thanks again

I had a unit here and a year later I get a call that my storage was broken into. I had insurance so they gave me maybe half of what my electronics were worth in settlement. They’ve raised the monthly price by $20 twice in the last 2 years.
