Though the education part is excellent, the lack of personnel to get a hold & leave a message for your child needs to be desired. Have a 1st grader who needed to be told to wait for her Mom to pick her up. Couldn't get a hold of anyone called for 45 minutes straight starting at 3 pm no one to pick the phone. The child gets out at 3:45 pm Thank the Lord there was not an emergency with no one there to help out. very irresponsible of the school to leave their phones unmanned. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS AT ALL. 2nd generation here at this school on top of it.

I went to Smyser for two years and my experience was fair. The staff and teachers are okay depending on the person. It has a wonderful music program! I was in band and choir and I loved it so much! The students are very smart but not so friendly. If you are a student you have to watch the people you hang with very well. Overall the experience could have been better if I knew the community better when I moved in the area. Besides this, the school is okay.

We are lucky enough to have our girls going to this fabulous neighborhood school. We love the teachers and the staff. Principal Travlos is there for all of us all the time and really, really cares about our children. We are thrilled to have moved into a neighborhood with a community that cares about keeping our kids safe and learning cool stuff.

Not really challenging really bad monitoring needs to enforce more rules and add some difficult courses
