We had recently purchased a 2013 WRX at auction that was in need of some head gaskets. It was recommended to take it to Solid Autoworks by another shop. We did call a few other shops in the Salt Lake area that specialized in Subaru repair and they were able to give us a quote that seemed reasonable. After the initial diagnostic it was determined that we needed to do a complete valve job along with the head gaskets. All the work was completed within the quoted time and right on budget. Love Paul Vu the owner knows his stuff. Took my car from 400hp to 630hp not even the same car. What made me trust him was I had a miss fire in cylinder 4 and a over heating problem. I had it towed in. I thought it was my bottom end. Two hours later he told me it was all fixed. I was like wow ok what do I owe you. He said shop time 266. This was why I trusted him. A tube for the radiator was back wards and a wire was grounding to make cylinder 4 miss fire. Super cool guy and trust worthy. I will always go-to him!!

Paul is awesome, he knows his stuff if you have a strange issue with your car he will research it find out what the problem is and correct it where nobody else can. He is very reasonable and runs generally a one man show. I had two other shops tell me I needed this that the other thing Paul was able to do all the leg work figure out really what the problem was and correct it and spend instead of wasting money and time on the wrong problem.

Top quality work, no short cuts and truly took the time to make sure everything was just right. I got an exhaust and CF diffuser installed on my 2017 M3. The price was also very good, I was surprised how fair it was. No BS charges. Got quoted 3 times more at multiple "other" performance/auto styling shops. Would recommend to anyone with high performance cars! Your in good hands with Solid!

Really great experience friendly staff. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is there was a small change in cost I wasn't made aware of till I came to pick up my car it was just like 50$ but still feel I should a been made aware of it. I was made aware of what was going on just not that it would cost more. REGARDLESS great shop and professional work.

Paul knows what he is doing. He is recommended by everyone in the state. I think he could work on Subarus in his sleep. He is extremely knowledgeable and always gives great advice on a build. If you are new to the Subaru community or just want an awesome mechanic look no further.
