I looked for a looooong time in anticipation of my girlfriend's and my move for a good moving company. I went through all the top sites that google brought up and then went through the exhaustive "lists" that these moving sites had all put together and kept coming up with the same price. Then I found solidarity movers when I searched "Movers in Bushwick," and that's when I got the response I was looking for. it was not as much as the other companies were charging, because they were actually using the list to see what you had to move and then calculating from that point forward. The other companies I had tried were offering a flat rate and then upping from there which I thought was bogus. So I decided to strike up a conversation with Solidarity. They were short, sweet, and to the point. I started an email correspondence with them and they were very good at getting back to me within hours instead of days. This was very useful to us as we only had a couple of days to move. They were able to give me a time frame that would work for me within an hour and we were good to go....well until we weren't. We had to change dates last minute and I was expecting a penalty to incur. Nope! They were extremely accommodating and let us move the next weekend and even gave us the same time frame! The movers were extremely professional. They arrived right on time, and got to work as soon as they touched down. It was very impressive to watch in person. I learned a couple of moving tips and tricks in the process. The took especially good care of my girlfriend's paintings that are her livelihood. They got us out of hour 3 story walk up and into a 1st floor walk in in 3 and a half hours. These guys know what they are doing. Overall, these guys deserve all of the 5 star reviews I see out of them and they definitely got a customer and someone that will spread the word for them for any other friends that need to move in the future.

I shopped several movers and Solidarity was one of the better values in the bunch. I chose them due to that and the strength of the reviews I saw here and elsewhere. I had a very short (2 blocks) and small (about 11 pieces of heavy West-Elm type furniture) move and after a bit of back and forth with Eugene we figured out an appropriate time frame for the movers, along with a good budget. Eugene was helpful and very responsive, and unlike some other companies, he didn’t keep asking me questions I had already answered. The movers showed up at the start of the window and got to work right away. I’ve had many professional moves in my life and these two guys, Mike and Chris, were some of the kindest and most conscientious movers I’ve had anywhere. They were upfront about timing (we were going to be tight, but doable for the 2 hour window I booked) and when the van was getting a bit full they asked if I’d rather have the possibility of having to do 2 trips or try to do it in one and potentially have the furniture be a bit more at risk for damage. No pressure from him either way and I told him to lean towards safety, but they ended up being able to get everything in one trip without risk to the furniture. We got it all done right at two hours and the charges were exactly as advertised. I tipped the guys well because these are tough times and they are in harm’s way every day. Getting this move done with Solidarity was one of the best decisions I’ve made in a while and kudos to a small business who provide such a vital service and do it honestly and carefully.

Solidarity just moved me from Queens to Manhattan and they did such a STELLAR job!! What an amazing group of people! And so insanely fair priced! I called a handful of other movers before I booked Solidarity, and not only did Solidarity have the best quote, they also have an itemized moving rate, so I could adjust my moving specifications up to 48 hours in advance (very helpful for me). The itemized rate also seems fairer to me than a flat guesstimating rate. I moved a studio's worth of stuff, and Jon and his teammate were friendly, Covid-safe, and super quick! They arrived right on time (ten minutes early, actually), and the whole move took only about three and a half hours (from a one flight walk up to an elevator building, though some furniture had to come up the stairs in my new place). All of my stuff arrived in perfect condition - including some valuable/fragile instruments - and the guys set everything up so nicely. Cheers for making my move an absolute JOY, especially since I was excited to get into my new apartment! I also love love love that Solidarity donates their time and resources to mutual aid and protesting efforts in the community - how amazing is that? One of the reasons I knew they were the right ones to hire! Cannot recommend Solidarity enough! I hope they continue to grow and grow - I'll be recommending them to anyone I know who's moving! I decided to go with Solidarity because they had good reviews & I loved the aspect of a portion of the money going to local charities. However, my experience using Solidarity Movers was not that great. The movers were not professional, they banged up our mango wood side table, denting the knob. The one mover dragged a heavy dresser across our brand new floors leaving a big scratch. The movers also blasted music while moving, which isn’t the worst, but inconsiderate to neighbors in the building. Moving is already stressful enough, the last thing you want are movers who are rough with your belongings. We were quoted around $500 and ended up paying $950. That was more than what it cost us to move from out of state. This most recent move was only 4 miles in the same city. Just note, if you go with a flat rate moving company, make sure your inventory list has EVERY single item included, otherwise your quote is not going to be accurate. That was in part my fault because it was a first time using a flat rate, so I thought I gave enough information to get an accurate quote. Not the case. Also, making a reservation with Solidarity, I never got to speak to anyone over the phone. They only emailed and text.

The Solidarity team is the BEST. Eugene handled everything for me via email and was super quick in getting back to me with a very reasonable quote - I also really appreciated that I was talking with an actual person right from the beginning rather than getting auto-emails. On my moving day, I was pretty stressed out at first (end of the month, in Brooklyn, during a pandemic... yikes), but Mike and Taj showed up and were so awesome right off the bat that I actually had a good time chatting with (and probably bothering) them while they were at my apartment! They were efficient but also clearly careful and skilled and I didn't worry about any of my belongings with them for a second. Aside from the moving out, they were also unbelievably helpful in moving my things into my storage unit. They are pretty much Tetris masters and arranged everything in there perfectly in a way that probably would've taken me days on my own. Overall, they were also just really pleasant, cool guys who were clearly finding enjoyment in what they do while working insanely hard! I'd highly recommend Solidarity, and will definitely be calling them back when it's time to empty out that ol' storage unit :)

These are the movers you're looking for. I had to make an emergency move with an imminent Blizzard bearing down. Within a few hours of initially contacting Solidarity Movers I had my ideal appointment with backup windows scheduled as they are impressively responsive via email and text. I had to add some additional heavy items to my quote over email and then again during the actual move - Solidarity's personnel were completely understanding and empathetic as well as totally transparent about any additional costs. The loading and unloading of my valuables was incredibly organized and Solidarity personnel took care to make sure everything was secure. The whole move took roughly an hour - not counting transportation time - which provided me with plenty of crucial time to prepare my new home for the incoming Blizzard. Solidarity made the usually very fraught and anxiety-ridden process of moving legitimately relieving - especially so given my circumstances. Best of all, the cost was barely more than what I would have incurred by attempting to do it myself. Do yourself a huge favor and hire Solidarity Movers

Solidarity Movers moved me practically across NYC from Harlem to Brooklyn and the service was awesome. The booking started out with me adding in the number of specific items that I had in order to get a quote. That was pretty helpful. I also liked that there were 3 movers because they seemed to have a good system of bringing stuff out the apartment, downstairs, and into the truck. All of the movers were also very kind, chill, and respectful in handling my items. It didn’t feel like they were just tossing things into the truck or stacking fragile boxes under heavy book boxes. Lastly, NOTHING BROKE OR WAS LOST!! Wooo!! This all happened with my last move and it was very irritating to try to replace the sold out broken stuff. Fantastic experience! I contacted Solidarity about a week before my new lease was to begin, but I then quite suddenly had to move my date up by five whole days. On a Friday, Zak was able to reschedule my move to the following morning with no extra charge and no extra stress for me! The movers, John and Christian, were very professional and super fast. Because it was short notice, my inventory ended up being a bit more than I had estimated, so I expected a big upcharge. But John noticed that I had overestimated the size of several items and took that into account as a price reduction, making my upcharge only $20 for at least five extra items! These guys were really great. Professional, careful, really friendly, and the timing was amazing from booking to on-time arrival and fast completion. Definitely recommend.

Was very nervous about picking the right movers given all the horror stories I’ve heard about scams and/or damaged furniture. Happy I chose Solidarity! They piqued my interest because they give back to the community and of the numerous quotes I received they were towards the lower side. Zak and Eugene were very responsive and helpful over email before the move day. On move in day, Cris and his partner texted ahead of time when they were on their way and were very kind and efficient. They clearly knew what they were doing and were super fast that even the doorman was surprised they got done so quickly because in his words “movers always say ‘oh it’ll only be 30min’ but end up taking over an hr”! Like most of you, I scoured online reviews looking for high quality movers at a reasonable price. And that is exactly what I found with Solidarity Movers. Zak and I exchanged several emails making sure my complicated move and list of items was accurate. He was SUPER responsive and kind during what is an emotional and stressful time in my life! The foreman, Mike, was very polite & communicative about arrival times on both days of my move. Mike and his colleagues -- Mike & Claude -- were amazing. They were incredibly thorough, hardworking and respectful. So far all of my stuff made it without any breakage, they were super fast and careful. Complicated moving situation. Ready for the task movers. I loved from Dallas to NYC using a Pod. What seemed like a great idea turned into an ordeal that Solidarity Movers were able to tackle. Brian and Eddie came out to the Pod facility in Jamaica Queens and moved everything so swiftly. The packing was immaculate, the conversations were delightful and the moving was a breeze. Everything was properly protected and they made sure things didn’t get scratched or break. If I move again, definitely going to hit these guys up. And last but not least, they were very affordable! Would highly recommend to a friend or family and I recommend to you reading this.

Booked them on a friend's recommendation and they didn't disappoint. I underestimated how much time all my last-minute stuff would take the morning of and was taping up a few boxes and throwing stuff in bags when the guys arrived, but they still got right to work. I'm not the best at packing so I was worried a few things might get damaged but everything made it to my new apartment in one piece, including a metal and glass greenhouse cabinet. I was also worried the cost would end up being higher than the final quote they gave me, because there were a few extra boxes/bags than I expected, but it stayed the same. Would definitely hire again!

Everyone I worked with at Solidarity was professional, pleasant, and responsive. I really appreciated the clear and frequent communication. They were very upfront about what things would cost at all times so that there were no surprises, and I really appreciated that on the day of they were in constant contact by text so we'd know when to expect them in our 90m start time window. The three person moving crew was a pleasure to work with, very communicative and professional. Definitely recommended, and if I had any plans to move again sometime soon (which thankfully I do not!) I would 100% work with them again.

Highly recommend Solidarity Movers if you are moving. Solidarity movers were extremely responsive, careful with my items and the space (able to navigate the different stair cases even with large furniture), professional, efficient, and helped me move out on short notice! They arrived right on time communicating clearly so planning and coordinating the move was simple. Their rates are great too with no unexpected surprises. After filling out a quick and simple form with what I needed help moving, there were a couple of clarifications I had to make and Zak walked me through it. Overall a great experience!

Amazing Experience!! I highly recommend this company. The 3 men who showed up worked quickly and were very friendly. Clearly they had a great system and kept me apprised the entire time on how things were going. The random odds and ends plus furniture were packed quickly and with care. At the other end of the move they asked where to put everything and looked at the boxes I had labeled to make sure they were headed to the right rooms. The ones I hadn't labeled were set up in such a way that I could easily get to everything. A wonderful move! Couldn't have been easier!

Highly recommend these guys. I have used them twice now and have had several friends use them as well. Zak gets back to you very quickly about pricing and availability and is overall just very easy to work with. Both sets of movers were great on the day, worked very hard, handled our items with care and were very pleasant to chat with. It's really nice that they text you updates throughout the process so you have a better idea when they will arrive. I couldn't find anyone who could beat their pricing. I will continue to use them whenever we move and you should too!

Have worked with Solidarity movers twice now. Moving in NYC isn't exactly stress free, and working with these guys WAS a stress free experience. They were quick, pleasant, professional and gentle with my belongings, not to mention, I didn't have to lift a finger. Pricing is fair, and on par with what other companies quoted me. If you want to keep moving as stress-free as possible, work with Solidarity. I just moved from Brooklyn to New Jersey .i took a chance with this Solidarity Mover only on the basis of review. Rate was reasonable it was very easy to communicate with them. Zak responded to every email very promptly . I had an awesome experience with this mover. They arrived on time. Didn't waste any time. Carefully handled loading and unloading. They were very frindly , caring and professional.There was not a scratch on any furniture . I am very happy that i chose this mover. I highly recommend this mover

The move was a smooth as silk with Solidarity Movers. Guy and his crew arrived perfectly on time and did a great job. They were simultaneously professional/competent and relaxed. It was amazing. Because they took such good care with the move I immediately knew all would go well. But since they were also relaxed it meant that my anxiety level dropped to nothing. (As background: I hate moving and anything that calms me down during a move is an enormous gift.) I'd hire them again and recommend them to anyone.

A late review but wanted to come back to it because I had such a good experience with Solidarity movers. I heard about them from a friend when I told her about how stressed how I was about moving. Solidarity Movers were amazing. This was our first time using movers and I am so happy to have found them. They were patient in answering all of our questions prior to the moving date and the price fit our tight budget. On moving day, they were prompt, fast, and careful with all of our belongings. You guys saved my whole move! My original movers canceled on me the night before my move, leaving me scrambling. After reaching out to a bunch of local places, I found Solidarity Movers, and they worked with me quickly to schedule me in for the next day. Their team arrived on time and was very friendly, and super-efficient, and careful with my stuff. Throughout the whole process, I felt so comfortable, and of course, so relieved that they had been available. 5 stars well deserved!

Solidarity Movers did an incredible job with our move. Webb, Randy, and John were friendly, professional, and even helped us calm down and put us at ease despite the fact that moving is one of the most stressful life events. These guys are the best! I’ve used multiple movers, over many years - I don’t think I’ve been completely happy with any of them. That’s now changed! All the guys were super friendly & accommodating. Chris the foreman was super helpful & managed the move perfectly - it all happened very quickly! They even helped to move furniture units into position (some stacked on top of each other). This is my second time working with Zak and Solidarity Movers and I would recommend them to any of my friends and family. They were quick to respond to a late move request and were reasonable when they updated my quote as I made changes to the inventory. Working with Solidarity Movers was a great experience start to finish. Within a day I was able to get a fixed quote, lock in a time (they were flexible) and have all my items moved into storage in 3-4 hours the next day. These guys were amazing. I've never hired movers before and I was nervous because I've heard some horror stories about moving companies in NYC, but these guys took great care of my stuff. Before the move Zak was very thorough about explaining the process and payment. Then on the day of my move the guys arrived right on time and were quick and careful. Very glad I hired Solidarity Movers when I was moving apartments in Brooklyn. The company was very transparent with all fees and are easy to reach out to with questions. The actual moving team was also very professional. They arrived on time and took extra precautions to make sure all our belongings were not damaged. They made the move stress free.

Highly recommend from start to finish! They were very responsive when I was booking and transparent that they might need to push my window the day before depending on scheduling. They did push the window, but my foreman Mike was great and very communicative! I needed to have some extra items moved and he was very transparent about the pricing.

These folks were so great! They were super quick and really thorough and we're friendly and chipper even though it was a million degrees. They moved our stuff from our apartment to a storage POD, which involved a lot of teamwork and tetris. I'm so grateful that they made our move go so smoothly! Super reasonable prices and they came right on time and put all my stuff into the truck quickly, They knew that I only had the freight elevator for 2 hours and they made sure to have all my furniture in the apartment and the bed built before the time ended! I responded almost instantly and gave me a VERY REASONABLE quote for a same day moving project. Our mover (Anthony) was on time, helpful, speedy and careful with all of my belongings. Solidarity is the only moving company that I actually want to recommend to folks. It's worth the slight premium in cost. For reference, we moved from Suffolk County to Queens.
