I first saw Dr. Nicolini 23 years ago and I have been going to his clinic twice a year ever since. I love the staff at his office, as they have always made me feel safe and at home. I trust Dr. Nicolini so much, not only because he is an excellent dentist with amazing technical skill, but also, he treats me with great respect and wants me to be a big part of any dentistry I might get. He does not over treat, but at the same time Dr Nicolini looks carefully at my mouth, asks me questions to find out what is going on, and then gives me the options that I have. I had a couple of crowns over the years, and Dr. Nicolini and his staff made it as painless as possible. I love Doreen, the dentil hygienist, Shawn, one of the assistants, and just everyone who works at Sound Dentistry. MaryEllen, the Office Manager is particularly nice, and patient when I put the wrong appointment in my phone! I have recommended Sound dentistry to many of my friends, and I will continue to do so. I certainly hope Dr. Nicolini never retires, because I never want to see another dentist!

I had my first visit at Dr. Waind's office this week and it was a great experience from beginning to end. I was greeted warmly by his pleasant and professional receptionist. After a brief wait, I was taken to the exam room which had a comfortable chair and a nice view out the window. After x-rays and photos with what appeared to be state-of-the-art equipment, the hygienist did her thing. While the cleaning isn't my favorite thing in the world, she did a great job - gentle and frequently checking in to see how I was doing. Afterwards, Dr. Waind came in, performed an exam and then gave me an evaluation of my teeth and gums. I appreciated that it was unhurried and he took the time to answer my questions. He was both friendly and professional. I also appreciated validated parking in the building's parking garage - no more traipsing through downtown Seattle in the rain to the parking garage at Pacific Place. I don't write many reviews but was so impressed with this office and Dr. Waind that I really wanted to share my experience. Highly recommended.

I was trying to find a new dentist in the Tacoma area, and accidentally called sound dentistry and set up an appointment. as the appointment got close they sent me a reminder. So being fairly new to the area I looked up the address on google and to my surprise it was in Seattle. I figured what the heck and went anyway. This was the biggest mistake I could have made. The staff was wonderful and made me feel very relaxed through the entire appointment, Unfortunately with my job in south Tacoma it is almost impossible to set an appointment and be gone all day due to travel time, so I decided to find a dentist closer to home. I have not had good luck with dentists in the past and I feel it will be almost impossible to get the same experience and level of care that Sound provided.I encourage anyone that is looking for a dentist in the Seattle area to give them a call. You won't be disappointed. Thank you to the staff at Sound D and even after just one appointment you will be missed.

First, to be completely transparent, the Dental Hygienist, Doreen is my mom so I'm a little biased about the quality cleanings I get at Sound Dentistry But even the kid of a dental professional can get a cavity every once in a while. Dr. Nicolini has been my dentist for about 20 years and in all that time I have never once been afraid to get a cavity drilled or filled. He and his staff constantly ask you how you are doing throughout the procedure as your comfort is key to them. In fact, during my last procedure I was so relaxed I started to tap my toes and fingers to the beat of the music overhead. I also can't say enough about the quality work their technician John does to create your crown, implant, bleaching trays, etc. It's been just about 10 years since he made my bleaching trays and they still work great! Quick, quality work...and they have an awesome Dental Hygienist!

I have HUGE dental anxiety, and after missing my first appointment because I was just scared to death, I decided to try and get the courage to again, even though I was already embarrassed about missing my first appointment. My fear went out the window after getting to know and talking to the assistant there (I'm so sorry I forgot your name) and the minute I met Dr. Nicollini my anxiety was at ease. I kid you not he is the most nicest, amicable, and funny person/dentist I have ever met. He is tone and his voice can really a make a nervous person relaxed. For anyone who has high dental anxiety, is scared of the dentist I can't recommend Dr. Nicollini and his staff enough. From Mary Ellen in the front to John who works in the lab this is the most calming dental office I have ever been!!

Best dentist around and I’ve known a few. My wife and I have been patients of Dr Nicolini for around 10 years and both of us are 100% satisfied. On my recommendation, my wife left her last dentist for Dr Nicloini (she works downtown), and she is now much happier than before. The Dr is excellent, the staff friendly, skilled, and accommodating, and the office and equipment cutting edge modern. The office does its' own in-house work on crowns, so no need for multiple visits or long waits. If anything needs to be tweaked (crown-wise), it gets done on the spot! Tooth cleaning, X-rays, and cavities have all been pain-free and professionally done the first time around. I am not a fan of going to the dentist, but I strongly recommend Rick Nicolini and his entire office.

It may sound strange, but I love going to see Rick Nicolini and his staff. His Dental Hygienist, Doreen, is top notch and I actually look forward to having my teeth cleaned with the spray. She is the main reason I go see Dr. Nicolini, but not the only one. I also like the excellent work that Dr. Nicolini and John have done on my teeth when I needed crowns - my smile has never looked better. Finally, Trust is a huge issue with me, and I trust Dr. Nicolini and his staff to do the right thing. Some dentists have suggested I get work on my teeth that will cost me a lot of money when I don't think I need it. However, Dr. Nicolini assured me that my mouth is just fine the way it is and I don't need to spend a fortune to keep it that way.

I have been a patient of Dr. Nicolini's for at least 15 years. I recall being referred to him by a co-worker who knew I hated going to the dentist. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and knowledgeable they were. I don't have to worry about having unnecessary dental work done. Dr. Nicolini has proven to be very trustworthy with conservative treatment. I have referred him to several people. I continue to be impressed with his and his entire staff's professionalism and quality of care. They are mindful of patient comfort and pain-free care at all times. Very convenient location downtown.

As a patient for over ten years, I can’t possibly speak more highly of Dr. Nicolini and his staff. After a single appointment I’m sure you will agree. I have had a great deal of restorative work done following implants and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. And for those who dread the needles used to numb your mouth by other dental offices, fear not! Dr. Nicolini uses this terrific tiny thing (called a “wand” I think) that’s actually painless. I love this practice! Everyone who works here is super friendly. The staff will provide helpful tips on how to improve your oral health, and it always comes from a compassionate place instead of a judgmental one. The staff genuinely cares about their patients and what they do. I never wait more than a minute or two to get in for a scheduled appointment, so while the waiting room is nice, I never spend any time there. I’ll continue to visit for my dental needs as long as I live in Seattle!

Hadn't gone to the dentist in a really long time, and finally mustered up the courage at the recommendation of a friend who had done the same. She wasn't wrong -- they are stellar here. They weren't at all condescending, were really patient and thoughtful, and they took the time to explain everything to me. I never felt rushed. The cleaning was also the fastest, most thorough, least painful cleaning I have ever had. SO great -- if I had more than two thumbs they would all be way up.

Let me be clear, I HATE going to the dentist. However, this office was amazing. All the parts of the appointment I dread, the cleaning, the poking my gums and saying 1234, were all MUCH LESS TRAUMATIC here. The dental hygienist was GREAT. Gentle, constantly checking in and very concerned for my comfort. Dr. Waind was also kind, gentle and conservative. Unlike a lot of dentists, he didn't tell me he wanted to just REDO my whole mouth. Will go back. Will not cry. Much recommend.

I have been coming here for years. The staff has always been very helpful and informative. They have presented themselves professionally every time. They remember my information from my last visit. The Hygienist on staff has made sure my teeth have stayed healthy and helped keep the cavities away! The Dentist has taken care of any problems I've had quickly and with no need to have something redone. I would recommend them to everyone looking for a dental recommendation!

Always a great visit to the dentist even when I get not so great news! I always refer those I know to my dentist office when they ask for a great dentist in the area. And not even for the referral credit (which is also a great perk by the way). But because the service is great! They always get me in and out in a decent amount of time with all my questions, concerns answered. They seem to value my time just as much as I do. Thank you Dr. Waind and friends!

I have avoided going to the dentist for probably ten years - Dr Waind and his team of awesome assistants and hygienists (Sherry!) made my check up and cleaning literally painless. I would recommend them to any person nervous about returning to dental care after a hiatus or for a regular visit. I'll be back next month to take care of the one filling issue they identified. They'll also validate parking in the building or Pacific Place.

Dr. Nicolini is amazing! Right away I felt at ease, he explained my treatment in detail and made sure my concerns were being addressed. I'm not a fan of needles, but he has a machine that makes it completely painless. During my procedure they checked on me and made sure I was doing okay. Dr. Nicolini has a gentle touch. Also the office staff and the assistant Shawn were friendly and professional. I couldn't ask for a better dentist!

I am very much against dental offices that are "car repair shops," in that they care more about making money and charging you for things you don't need - and this is definitely not that! Very kind, warm staff and thorough as well - the appointment took longer than expected, but it felt more thorough than I've had in a long time in terms of exam and cleaning. Really am glad to have found a great dentist in the Seattle area!

His staff is professional, courteous and always friendly when you walk in. Dr. Nicolini understands that not everyone enjoys going to the dentist and provides a calming environment. I’ve been a patient of this practice since 2008 and highly recommend it. Every hygienist I’ve worked with is knowledgeable, friendly, and they encouraged me to be better with my dental health without making me feel horrible. Dr. Waind is super pleasant as well. Extra points because they play fun music, not the boring stuff. Sometimes 80s alternative, sometimes 90s, was impressed to hear Selena this AM.

All people there are nice, I really enjoy their services, except for, please take care of your billing by yourself!They didn’t tell me and my husband that we had run out of my maximum, just scheduled more appointments for us until we finished all treatments. So we had to spend $500 more for just filling and cleaning which I absolutely can separate the treatment into next year and save $500.

Great experience... I've been in several dentist offices in the last couple years and it's great to see one that spends their money on the latest gadgets for cleaning and examining your teeth (not on elaborate digital screens showing Hulu, etc.). The staff was exceptional... kind, detailed, and focused on teaching me about the health of my teeth. I'd highly recommend to friends/family.

Great looking office, state of the art equipment in a calm soothing setting. The music in the reception area is probably the best waiting room music I have heard anywhere. The staff is great, the receptionist is friendly and welcoming. The dental assistants are easy to talk to and friendly and the dentist is very thorough when explaining what he's doing and discussing your options.

I love coming in to see the staff, everyone is so nice and personal, even at the front desk. The office is very clean and I am always pleased with how I am treated when I come in and I feel I am getting the best care. Dr. Nicolini is the best dentist EVER? I've had very bad experiences with other dentists which caused me to be very hesitant to make an appointment for a toothache I was having. I was referred to Dr Nicolini through a friend. All around great experience and no more aching tooth. Very modern, clean and professional atmosphere. I highly recommend Sound Dentistry to everyone.

Just moved to Seattle and had my first visit to a dentist in a while (longer than I care to admit). Everyone was friendly, but more importantly, super knowledgeable, thorough, and helpful. This is literally the best dental office I've ever been to! And I generally hate going to the dentist - had some traumatic experiences as a kid and was never really able to get over them ...until now. They're always on time and do a great job of reminding you of appointments. Shiloh is a great dental technician. They give you headphones to keep you comfy and entertained. Had a cavity filled once and it was quick and painless. They get you in and out in an hour. Just wish they were open Fridays.

Been going there for 10 years or so, always have had an excellent experience. One thing I really like is not feeling pressured to get work done that is out of budget at any given time. The validated parking in the building makes getting in and out very easy. I'd highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Butler and staff. Although i was anxious, he was calm and patient, explained through the process and he followed up personally with me after treatment. I cant say enough good things about my experience.

Rick Nicolini is a great guy and a great dentist. This group is especially good at crowns and implant teeth who, together with my periodontist, Dr. Weinstein, did a great job at replacing two of my teeth with implants.

Dr Nicolini and his staff are awesome!!!  In addition to my regular 6 month check ups, he also whitened my teeth and got rid of the Madonna gap between my two front teeth!!!  I love my smile again!
