South Coast Specialty Coffee is on Mackenzie Beach in the middle of the bar ghetto area, next to Caffe Nero. A fair old trek from Larnaca Marina. A large seating area outside on artificial grass, inside the serving area, half of the inside taken up by a kids play area. When I visited there were proposals to charge for this as supervised, at a guess because parents were dumping kids unsupervised. First impressions, a ghastly corporate chain. The coffee is Taf, not only Taf but Taf competition blend. It was not good. Far better than if I had gone to Caffe Nero, but Taf should be far far better than this. A cold brew tower. Was it for show? No, used for cold brew. I was offered a sample. It was not good. Concentrate and undrinkable. The explanation, we serve with ice, the ice melts. No. Make not as concentrate, serve cold, with one large ice cube at minus 22C that slowly slowly melts and does not dilute the drink. Follow the example of how cold brew is served at The Underdog in Athens. A neat touch, when coffee served, a card with a QR code. Scan and if wish, complete a survey. Back door access to personal data? I would rather be provided with a card with information on the coffee. A sign outside Best Coffee in Larnaca. Asking for trouble when not. Taf coffee is far better than this in Athens. Miyu Coffee in Protaras is serving Taf coffee, not even competition blend, and better than this. Outside Larnaca Marina, Nick’s Coffee Bike, by far the best coffee in Larnaca is in another league. That is not to say South Coast Specialty Coffee is serving bad coffee, far worse coffee is served in the corporate coffee chains, but Taf should be far far better than this, especially if using competition blend, and no, it is not the best coffee in Larnaca, that accolade belongs to Nick’s Coffee Bike, though may have been true before the coffee bike was outside the marina. South Coast Specialty Coffee is not a coffee shop let alone a specialty coffee shop, it is a tacky bar serving coffee. It is not doing Taf any favours their coffee being supplied out of the back door by a coffee shop in Nicosia. It is quite a trek from Larnaca Marina to Mackenzie Beach. There are plans afoot to develop the beach. Not a good idea, though please get rid of the artificial grass. What is needed is a shuttle bus service, an electric bus, from Larnaca Marina, or at least the Bus Stop, to Mackenzie Beach either free or one euro. The money earmarked for Mackenzie Beach would be far better spent on pedestrianising the seafront and the back streets of the old town. I visited this bar cum coffee shop two years ago, I have not been back since. To see what Taf coffee should be like apart from visiting their coffee shop in Athens try the coffee at Koffea in the old town. There are three coffee shops worth visiting in Larnaca, Koffea (serving Taf coffee) Paul’s Coffee Roasters and Nick’s Coffee Bike (the bike has has been retired and sits in a coffee shop of the same name). Too many places are claiming specialty coffee when they are not. Beans of q grade above 80 is a given, but have to be freshly roasted no more than three weeks old, top quality equipment, each dose carefully measured and ground prior to brewing, and skilled baristas who know how to make coffee and do justice to the grower and roaster. It is two years since my one and only visit. One can but hope has improved.

Very bad experience with this shop. We are "regular" customer of this shop, I use the word "regular" as every weekend in summer I bring all my family members to the shop as my kids like to play here. Everything looked fine till that weekend last year. One day, my wife took two kids to the shop together with my parents as they wanted to enjoy sea view and kids can play in the shop's playground. In the first hour, everything is fine. Suddenly, one of the shop's staff came out and took my kid out of the playground and said he is not allowed to play in the shop with the excuse that we didn't buy drinks in the shop and said that we didn't respect the shop's brand as we brouhgt our own beverage into the shop. We told him that we often visit this shop and we acknowledged that we bring snacks or beverage our own but we still buy beverage and snacks, ice cream in the shop everytime, and no body questioned us and the shop didn't put a sign outside to state that "you are not allowed to bring your own drinks and foods here". Although we were not satisfied to his attitude, we still bought some drinks from the shop. After we paid the bill, that hostile staff didn't return changes to us and claimed that those changes were fines on us. We were very very angry with this guy and going to call policeman but we finally decided not to do as we didn't want to bother police officer with such a "small" thing. So we went to another staff and explained to him what was happened, he apologized to us and said the one who made trouble with us was not good with his attitude and what he did was wrong. We acceped the apology, however, we can not forget what we experienced in this shop. Now, it's summer again, we still go to the beach every werkend, but we still feel uncomfortable when we passby this shop. My kid loved this place so much, but I cannot forget the scene that an angry staff took my kid out of the playground where he was playing with joy....

Очень хорошее заведении для детей. Так как во втором зале находится большая игровая зона для детей. С еды предлагают салаты,пиццу , кофе , пирожные, вафли и мороженое. Все очень вкусное, кроме пиццы! Взял пиццу с курицей и луком и она оказалась не вкусной. После уточнения у повара и шефа заведения, оказалось что пиццу им привозят и они её разогревают. Так как был голоден почти всю съел. Но несмотря на это , мне предложили любое блюдо на выбор , за счёт заведения. Без лишних вопросов и скандалов как бывает в других странах. В целом отличное заведения для семейного отдыха ! :) Very good institution for children. As in the second hall there is a large play area for children. With food offer salads, pizza, coffee, cakes, waffles and ice cream. Everything is very tasty, except for pizza! I took a pizza with chicken and onions and it was not tasty. After checking with the cook and the chef of the restaurant, it turned out that they brought pizza to them and they warmed it up. Since I was hungry almost all ate. But despite this, I was offered any dish to choose from, at the expense of the establishment. Without unnecessary questions and scandals as it happens in other countries. In general, excellent facilities for family holidays! :)

Захотелось кофе,специально с Айя-Напы поехали сюда. Написано спешелти , ну думаю норм,нужно ехать, но видать у них свои стандарты спешелти) Фильтр самый обычный американо (варят только на одном зерне, возможности выбора нет), в капучино латте-арт не предусмотрен,молока плеснул в эспрессо - вот и капучино, туристу и так сойдёт)) и что примечательно к обеим напиткам принесли сахар) В Ларнаке до этого, толком не был, но уже когда ехал, начали терзать сомнения по поводу кофейни, так как хорошая кофейня вряд ли будет расположена на набережной где основной поток это туристы ( конечно может, но не на Кипре в данный момент времени , так как индустрия спешелти слабо развита, здесь фраппе пьют))

Its a very beautiful cafe on the beach with a play area for kids , has inside and outside sitting area. It also has great snack choices for kids and adults. But most of all amazing coffee and great service.

Name specialty coffee really draw my attention so I decided to try. Unfortunately thats where my pleasant experience ends. Waitress did not know what lungo is, she prepared something with very long extraction time, it was really burned and tasted horribly, I had to throw it away. Pretty dissapointing experience, especially because they claim they are specialty coffee. I would also like to rate coffee experience but it was so badly prepared that I am unable to rate it, thus 1*

Good coffee, great cake (even one vegan cake-but a little overpriced for the size). A lot of space (and plugs) for people who need to do some work. They serve (or at least ask) coffee in ceramic cups when ordering for here, selling reusable straws (would love to see if they could use reusable straws for the drinks in house too). Unfortunately the fresh juice will get served in single use plastic cups (even if you order "for here".) but if you order the juice in a glass straight away you can enjoy a fresh juice without any plastic trash... All in all can recommend-

Nice layout, a lot of outdoor seat . There's variety of options for drink, sandwich, cake. Also kids playground As for coffee/espresso it is absolutely not that all, I'd rather get a quality espressos (my preference).

Great place to relax. With a beautiful cozy atmosphere and incredible coffees. They have excellent ice cream, all the choices... Top service with a smile. There is parking place, behind the place. LookThere is a separate space that functions as a children's playground, even for kids events. The best prices.

Good coffee, delicious spinach bread and ice cream, nice service and awesome place close to the beach :) I used it as a working place, so another good points are a good wifi and electricity sockets even outside on the terrace. The arriving / departing planes were a bit interesting for me, but for someone could be annoying.

3 μέρες στη Λάρνακα πήγα καθημερινά για καφέ εκεί, σε συνδυασμό με σνακ. Πολυ ομορφος και άνετος χώρος, φιλική εξυπηρέτηση, καλός καφές, επίσης θα το συνιστούσα για επαγγελματικά ραντεβού και έχει πολύ καλό ίντερνετ.

Located on Mackenzie beach, they have a variety of food. We tried the Goat Cheese Pizza and it was tasty, fresh and the portion was really good. They did not mind to get French fried from another restaurant since they Don't have. prices are fair and affordable. They always send some people to the beach to deliver drinks.

Horrible place! They have a choice to serve a hot beverage in ceramic cups, and fredo coffee in the glass, and yet they serve EVERYTHING in the plastic even after we asked otherwise. So much for sustainability! The worst thing - nobody seem to mind to have a full table of one-time use plastic.

Маленькая уютная кафешка на набережной. Здесь можно сытно перекусить за умеренную цену. Вкусный кофе, сэндвичи, мороженое, салаты. Недалеко от пляжа, поэтому смело можно пользоваться wi-fi из этого чудного кафе. Скорее всего открылись недавно, потому что мебель выглядит новой и в сравнении с другими заведениями, кажется шикарной. Всем добра!

Excellent food and even better coffee. And the sweets.... oh, the sweets! Friendly, professional staff. Love it! Good location - right where you need them to be. If you are on (special) diet - beware: it's hard to resist, but you can always burn some calories taking a stroll down the loooong Mackenzie beach ;)

Great place to spend a lazy morning or afternoon. Nice coffees, biscuits, sandwiches, pleasant atmosphere, super helpful staff. You can just sit and enjoy your day. Comes with a spending sea view as well

I think this is the most decent coffee in this area. I got two flat whites and a cold latte and I was pleasantly surprised. They had good crema, good body, very balanced taste. I highly recommend And the beach in front of the coffee shop is very nice.…

Very expensive, low quality food stuff, and definitely not fresh sandwiches. Owner is a grump who has no manners especially on a busy day. If I had no kids I would never go there again. Its very possible fhat you pay for the coffee and it never arrives.

This is not a speciality coffee. They sell normal average coffee from supermarket with average taste

Great specialty coffee from Taf, Athens. The location is amazing, right on the beach, near the palm trees. The owner is really friendly and the staff nice. Definetely, you should drink yoir coffee here if you are in Larnaca.

A super busy atmosphere. The view can’t be beat. The servers were friendly. We tried the freddo espresso and herbal chai tea. Both were well done.

There is no speciality coffee here despite the name. The flat white is drinkable but the barista is incompetent. Despite having 3 grinders in front of them they could not discern the difference between the beans.

A great place. Visited there several times during our trip to Cyprus. They have great coffee and pastries, awesome view outside and a warm and cosy atmosphere inside. The staff was very kind and helpful.
