My experience with South Peak Roofing & Exteriors was nothing but positive and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a first-class job. The job I needed done was to have my House, Garage, and Shed roofs re-shingled. When I called to request a quote the person I spoke to was Rich. He was very nice and personable and was able to meet at a time that worked best for me. During our meeting he took the time to understand what my unique needs were and was able to come up with a plan that exceeded my expectations. I received a quote a day later and after accepting it Ken gave me a time frame on when they could start. The day before the work was to be done they loaded our roof with the new shingles and brought all the supplies and materials needed to do the job. On the day they started working a crew of five guys were here first thing in the morning and these guys were the hardest workers I ever seen. They all worked together as a team and each knew what they had to do and were able to complete the whole job in two days. After the job was completed I met again with Rich and went over what was done. Then around a month after the work was completed I received my warranty in the mail. All in all, I couldn’t be happier. My roof looks amazing and I can rest assured knowing that a good job was done. As for the specifics of the work that was done. 1. They removed and disposed all old roof material. 2. Identified and replaced any damaged plywood. 3. Put down full roof synthetic underlay. 4. Put down ice & water shield on eaves, valleys, and penetrations. 5. Installed new vents and drip edges on eaves. 6. Installed colored metal valleys and flashing. 7. Installed CertainTeed shingles with manufacture warranty. 8. Nate Burlando from Distinct HVAC, whose company did an excellent job installing our new furnace and AC system in the fall of 2017, recommended South Peak to us when we asked about roofing companies he would trust. When one quality installer recommends another, I take them at their word and also confirm it by checking places like HomeStars. South Peak came highly recommended! We contacted Ken Reid in the fall of 2017 to get the ball rolling. We agreed to touch base in the spring (2018) to replace the shingles on our house. Ken was very responsive throughout the period leading up to, and including, the actual installation. In the spring, Ken came over and presented us with three different shingle manufacturers and a number of options for each. He left us a few samples. We requested he bring some others for us to ponder over. After a few weeks we decided on the Certainteed Northgate Pewter, a class 4 SPS shingle. He also recommended that we use a roof vent from Maximum Air (made in Canada) to ensure we had adequate attic ventilation. In the second week of April, Ken's crew arrived as promised and completed the work on time and on budget. Each day (it took three in total) they cleaned up after themselves and left our driveway, grass, patio and deck safe to use. His crew discovered that a section of soffit had been improperly installed originally. Ken brought his soffit specialist out to make it right for an affordable price. The invoice did not vary from the estimate in any way. There were no surprises. We have the finest looking roof and the spiffiest vents on the block in our neighbourhood. We highly recommend Ken Reid, who represents his industry with the utmost of professionalism and friendliness. South Peak is a company with whom I would do business again and I recommend them to any who are looking to replace their shingles.

We recently engaged South Peak Roofing Ltd., to replace our roof. We conducted an exhaustive review of ~ 15 contractors in the fall of 2020 prior to selecting South Peak. We were impressed with South Peak from the responsive to our request for a quote, an initial on-site meeting/review with Ken Reid and timely responses to any question we had with respect to the project from Ken or Lori Krottner. We chose to work with South Peak based on reviews, recommendations from previous clients and that they are an Emerald Pro certified installer with Malarkey. After consultation with Ken, we selected the Malarkey class IV hail resistant Legacy product line backed by a superior warranty from both South Peak and Malarkey. Choosing this product led to a reduction in our home insurance premium by over 30%. Lori kept us up to date about the project and provided several weeks advance notice prior to confirming when installation would begin. The installation was completed the week of June 14th, 2021. The on-site crew lead by Agustin were tremendous – they were very respectful, communicated with us regularly, were on site early each day, worked very hard and clearly, took great pride in their work and, customer satisfaction. They obviously had a work plan and worked together seamlessly, like a well-oiled machine; clean-up was done each day and at the end of the job, a final clean-up was completed leaving the property in the same condition as before the work began. Kudos to Agustin and his team and South Peak for a job very well done. We have no reservations in recommending South Peak Roofing Ltd., based on our experience and the quality of workmanship, level of professionalism, and customer service that was provided.

South Peak was recommended to me by a friend who raved about her experience. I took a first glance at Google Reviews, dug into the single ‘1 star’ rating below which had absolutely nothing to do with roofing or the quality and instead sounded like an overblown reaction to a normal telephone tag situation and called them for a consult. Ken showed up that evening, assessed our roof and had a quote with three options to us very quickly. The price was far better than any other company from whom we received quotes. I was also very impressed with Ken’s approach - he was very thorough in explaining options and the pros/cons. I felt really good with the meeting and we decided to move forward. The guys were over within one week to start the job. They were truly amazing. A severe wind storm last month damaged some shingles on the roof of our South East Calgary home. The insurance company recommended replacing the shingles with a new non-organic type which is more suitable to our climate. I contacted three companies requesting pricing to remove the old shingles and to install new shingles according to the latest building codes. Ken from South Peak Roofing responded quickly to my request and provided a competitive price. He spent a great deal of time explaining to me the advantages of several types of shingles and their suitability to our market. Within a week Ken’s installation team removed the old roof, supplied and installed new roof shingles as quoted and more importantly according to the lates building codes. We recently decided our roof needed replacing so when I saw someone walking around on the roof of a house down the street from my house I waited to talk to him when he came down. Our 35 year old vinyl siding was looking pretty bleak and our roof needed replacement. We got 4 estimates and South Peak gave us a very competitive quote. I know how hard it is to find a good contractor and when getting a roof redone it’s hard to make a decision on such a large investment. Why I chose South Peak was the extensive experience they have with roofs. They are HAAG certified and are the only gold warranty company for CertainTeed in the Calgary area. If you do the research, these are two things that no other company offers together or at all. Another reason is the entire Team from Ken, Richard, Jill and Lori were amazing to work with. All very experienced, answering all my questions and respecting any requests I had. I own several properties and went with them for all of them and then because I enjoyed the process and work performed, I thought I better get my mothers home done too. I wouldn’t look any further. I do my research and had a few companies come out. South peak isn’t the cheapest but also not the most expensive, but they are the most experienced in my opinion.

We had our roofing shingles replaced by South Peak Roofing in September, 2017. We had noticed South Peak replacing shingles on several houses in our neighbourhood. We talked to a couple of our neighbours; they were very satisfied with South Peak’s work. South Peak recommended to us Malarkey class 4 impact resistant roofing system with enhanced wind 20 years full coverage warranty and that is what we selected. Ken of South Peak was very patient in explaining to us the various components of the Malarkey roofing system and their benefits. Ken also told us how he takes only the jobs his experienced roofers can handle. So you can talk to him about who will do the job. The workers left the job site tidy at the end of each day and left it clean at the end of the job. I particularly appreciated that Ken, a HAAG certified inspector, personally went up on the roof, inspected the job and provided me photographs of the finished roof.

We had South Peak come by to take a look at our roof as we had noticed that it was not in great shape any longer. Ken and Rich came by and took a look and noticed the hail damage. They said that they would have measurements of the roof taken and would send us a quote shortly. We had a bad hail storm the summer prior and we contacted our insurance company. South Peak sent us the quote and were extremely patient as we dealt with insurance and answered all of their questions very quickly. We had the roof replaced in late November and we were sure that the crew would not want to work in the colder weather - but they did! They were amazing! Quick & tidy! Super nice fellows that worked really well together. Ken followed up with us the next day. We could not be happier with the quality of the work and all of the crew at South Peak! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to all my close family and friends.

After no response after several weeks from the company who had originally replaced my house roofing, I contacted South Peak to obtain a quote for replacement of my garage roof along with two other local roofing companies. South Peak responded within 48 hours and the quote was for a very reasonable price. After instructing Ken to proceed, I received clear communication from acceptance of the price to completion of the work. The roof shingle that was installed on my house some years ago is no longer being manufactured so I received a sample brochure of alternatives. After choosing the alternative shingle, there was an e-mail confirming delivery of the materials that would arrive the next day. The work was completed the day after the materials had been delivered and was done quickly and cleanly. Very happy with the completed work and would highly recommend this company.

South Peak did a fantastic job with our house. We were hit with hail in July 2021, which damaged our siding, roof and metal. Rich came out to give us an estimate. He was wonderful to work with. He was always in communication with me and my insurance adjuster. He send his estimates directly to my adjuster. When we found out our siding was discontinued, he ensured to communicate this to our insurance. Picking our siding and shingles were great, we even upgraded to grade 4, from him having some info on our insurance. Our roof was repaired the end of August, our siding was repaired in Feb 2022. We have had no issues with the installation. After installation of roofing, siding, metals, someone came out to ensure the job was done and nothing was missed. I would recommend South Peak, and will use them in the future, if the need arises.

Rich has been very pleasing to talk to, very knowledgeable and very transparent. He knocked on our door last year and never harrased me to getting our roof done right away. I used South Peak Roofing and Exteriors and am so glad I did. The workers were very approachable and professional. I would definitely recommend them. Im in love with my new Eurosheild lite roof! We were lucky to get the roofers so late in the season, for the new roof install. This is such a weather realated trade. Once they got here, they put in some real long days on our roof. This team worked so well together. We were extremely happy with the installation of our eaves around our patio common property at the Alora condo community in Sunset Ridge in Cochrane. They matched the colour extremely well. I contacted South Peak to do a little bit of metal roofing that my current contractor wasn't able to do. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of communication coming from these guys. At every step of the way, they were extremely precise in their communication on when things were going to be done and how long it should take. Overall I am very happy with the job quality, but the communication piece is second to none. Several follow ups to make sure the job was done right. Highly recommend!

On the morning of our vacation start, we learned we had a major ice dam problem when water was discovered leaking into our kitchen through the ceiling smoke alarm! Within a short period of time, a very hard working South Peak Roofing fellow was up on our icey roof solving the issue. We were extremely impressed with how diligently he worked and very grateful that South Peak Roofing was able to remedy our emergency. Rorik and Carrie came out to fix a hole in my roof. They discovered possible animal activity inside the attic, which they were able to address as well. They also did a bit of work on securing our very old chimney. All of this was done at a reasonable price, and everyone there was exceedingly nice to talk to. Without going into details, they went above and beyond to help my partner and I in a rough time in our life. I would hire South Peak again and would recommend them to others.

Excellent experience throughout. Shingles have been installed for a few months now and it all looks great, we have even had our normal higher wind gust for our area and they have held tight, neighbours not so much. First off they gave me the most competitive quote for installation standard, shingle quality compared to cost. Address's in my area to look at previous installations. Our garage roof shingles needed replacing. Contacted South Peak for a quote, as well as others. South Peak got back to me right away. Others took several days. So I chose South Peak. Their crew was great. When they stripped the shingles only a few small pieces fell off the roof. No damage to siding or the flower beds. These guys were great. I would hire South Peak again.

South Peak replaced leaking skylights, adjacent step flashing and shingles along with replacing roof edge flashing on a sunroom addition, and did a great job for a lower cost than other quotes.

Would be nice if they actually showed up when they make an appointment. They can't handle competition, so when told others are providing quotes for our hail damaged home they bowed out!
