"°Very nice branch of CPL! °It isn't super large & seemed to have a small adult book selection"
"The lady with the short blond hair is extremely unprofessional"
"I have been going to this library for a decade and never had a problem since a younger age! Now that I am an adult with children; we all can enjoy ourselves! They give your children something to do as far as computer, books, arts & crafts and they also have a play area for the younger children"
"This library profoundly influenced me when it came to my love of books and reading, over sixty-five years ago"
"Very poor wifi connection"
°Very nice branch of CPL! °It isn't super large & seemed to have a small adult book selection. °All in all it was Quaint & Efficient for what i needed to do! °Being in the south shore they seemed very much focused on Black Excellence. °Large children's area with lots of books it looked like! A bunch of available computers to use, Job resources, a comfy chair, etc... °The staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive! °Highly recommend even if you're just going to chill away from home or doing work on you're own PC.. ☮️Very peaceful atmosphere!️
The lady with the short blond hair is extremely unprofessional. She false accused my daughter of late charges. She charged me $100+ fees. They have recieved every book we have borrowed I recently questioned the unexplained fee. The short blond lady. Bluntly told her supervisor I only paid 20 dollars. I was insulted because I gave her $85 to be exact. I was appalled how the so called supervisor handled the matter. I would never go back to this Library. Who does that? Staff gaining up accusing a child. Including security.
I have been going to this library for a decade and never had a problem since a younger age! Now that I am an adult with children; we all can enjoy ourselves! They give your children something to do as far as computer, books, arts & crafts and they also have a play area for the younger children. For me; if I am having a problem or need help with anything there is always someone to assist me. I never got any attitudes, laziness from the librarians. Oh and their Wi-Fi is popping (having a sense of humor)!☺
This library profoundly influenced me when it came to my love of books and reading, over sixty-five years ago. I went on to become very successful in business and life, and I still think of the fantastic librarian there, Miss Hicks, who was always ready to help me find a good book or give me ideas for researching a given topic. Please support this library, and always make sure your children get a good start in life by discovering the great value of books and learning. Thanks, again, Miss Hicks!
Very poor wifi connection. Extremely loud for a library. The staff is always yelling at the kids and carrying on personal conversations when you come the the front desk. Also, a lady came inside to return her books at the front desk and no one acknowledged her. After the lady said 'excuse me' for the second time the lady behind the desk said "The drop box is outside." Disgusting behavior.
This is quite a long over due contribution I’ve been meaning to make about the 73rd branch. It’s got to be a hidden gem in the neighborhood. The librarians and extra staff on site are more like family to the community. There perspicuity of knowledge they share is priceless! Their work contributes to building educational leaders for the next generation’s. Thank you to all.
I want to Thank the library" s Director for allowing ME to have my book event in there today. Those who like reading can read my book I Just Want To Be A "Kid" The Life Of Raising Children, That is officially published, By Tyshondra Barnes, Author 2505 East 73rd Street ,Chicago, IL 60649
Yes A great library to read, get copies and use the internet. I bring my own laptop and spend the whole day there over 6 hours and as long as I wear headphones and mask there is no problems, unless it gets crowded.
Clean. Fun activities and events for kids. Very helpful librarians. Many computers for both adults and juvenile. Floor outlets to charge laptops. Thank you guys for always helping me out.
The location is very clean. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. I appreciate that they give access to computers, printers, photocopiers, and a study area. I highly recommend!
It's a nice library in the community. They do have a lot of good books for children and adults as well. They have DVD rentals computers that you can use and a pretty friendly staff.
Friendly staff! Helpful and calm ppl. Even the young lady that's security, She is Nice and attentive to the library. Very Clean, quiet. Free printer up to 10pgs.
The staff is very unprofessional! They do not need to work with the community at all! Their tone, attitude and personalities are not a fit for their jobs!!!
I would like to see more black history pre slavery, at this location. But this is far and away the best library on the Southside of Chicago.
Clean and quiet convenient location. Friendly respectful staff wheelchair assessable very short to no wait times for available computers.
This library doesn’t have many black culture history books but the customer services is great better than any library on the soufhside
The staff will help and show you how to do things. No attitudes, and they share information for your knowledge!
The checkout lady with the short blond hair is very unprofessional and sometimes has the tendency to be rude.
