I use this cab company all the time but after my following experience I will not be ever using them again! I them recently and I had a driver when he finally arrived (as it was all in his own time) he didn't even park remotely near my pick up address so I had to walk to him to confirm he was the driver with my folded buggy my car seat and my bags he didn't even get out to open the boot so I had to call my brother to come and lift the stuff for me as I had only recently given birth once my brother approached the vehicle the driver suddenly got out to help but once he saw everything was already put in the boot he just smiled and got back into his seat. I then had to strap the car seat in as a first time mum it takes me abit longer as I'm still figuring out how to do it so instead of him offering to help he watched me struggle for 10 mins whilst he made phone calls and then started to watch a program on his phone. He was a careless driver to say the least driving in bus lines, not indicating, shouting at other drivers, cutting other drivers up all of this might I add was done whilst he was still watching the program on his phone which considering I had a 5 week old in the car was disgusting, he also proceeded to ask where my daughters father was and where I worked. Once we reached my adddress he then packed a far bit away from my house when I asked him to move forward he ignored me as this time He was on the phone so I started to get out of the car and he began to load my belongings on the the ground (still on the phone) as I walked to my house carrying my bags and car seat I come back to pay and I was told via the text once I had booked that my journey was £18 but the driver charged me £19 as I went to collect my buggy and he had thrown and left my £1000 buggy on the floor and was already in his car I said to him you haven't been very helpful and you've just thrown my buggy on the ground he then got out his car and walked towards me and told me it's not his job to help and began to shout at me I told him I was going to report him to the office and he didn't seem to car. I did call the office and spoke to someone called Billy he was nice enough but didn't see to bothered by my complaint. I will not be using this cab service again and to my friends and family that do I have told them of this incident so I doubt they will either.

This was a trip down the horror lane. The company (South West Cars) promised us a driver meeting us at the airport (Stansted) with a name shield in his hands, and a trip to London for £71.50 plus £3.50 parking fee. They called us several times after we had landed but when we - me, my wife and our daughter (9) - came out of the gates there was no one meeting us. We kept looking for the driver (and calling him) for about 15 minutes. Found him outside the building but on our way out of the parking area the driver was charged £25 (!!!) parking fees, which he wasn't able to pay. He wasn't able to discuss these charges with the gate operator either. Stuck at the gate, we decided to help the driver out and paid those exorbitant parking fees for him. On our way home the company staunchly refused to reimburse us for the difference between the quoted fee (£3.50) and the actual fee (£25) or even to share the difference. At first, they kept repeating that they never heard about such a parking fee and then, after I mentioned a bad review, they investigated the matter and found out that the driver, apparently, parked in the wrong zone. Having found out that, they still refused to discuss any reimbursement or sharing of the wrongly incurred expenses trying to make us look responsible for the whole matter. Our child was scared with the whole confrontation and started crying and attacking my wife, and after that we decided to drop the whole argument for the sake of her emotional comfort. If I could give this "service" minus five stars I would. This was one of the worst airport transfers ever, a truly dreadful experience. We felt like hostages. Terrible.

RUDEST COMPANY ON EARTH - I've used this company a few times for business travel to/from the airport and the service could not be worse. I've never had a problem with a driver but having paid in advance and asked for an invoice have encountered problems with the driver then asking for cash once I had been delivered to destination. We recently booked a 7 seater through the website and specifically instructed SWC that we were 4 adults and 2 babies with luggage. When my wife went to the kiosk to double check the booking the day before we flew we found we had been allocated a 4 seater...my wife and her friend (along with 2 babies under 6 months) tried to explain the situation and the bald headed chap became loud and aggressive and put all of the blame on my wife. Despite the CHEAP prices AVOID THESE GUYS AT ALL COSTS. Customer service is non existent. It pains me that google doesn't allow me to review with ZERO STARS - my wife and her friend felt physically shaken after the encounter. In the end we got the journey £30 cheaper with A1 Cars of Southfields and spoke to a human that could communicate without shouting or snarling...

A STRESSFULL EXPERIENCE. Had a cab booked for just before 2am to take me to Clapham so I could get my 2.25am train to Gatwick airport ahead of my 6am flight (this was the last train that I could have gotten in order to make my flight). I called the cab office at 2am and the controller obviously could not find my booking but still tried to pretend that the driver was on his way and would be "5 mins". I am not sure what traffic is around SW18/19 at 2am on a Thursday morning but they found it! After more calls and an extremely arrogant controller telling me "2 mins" "2mins" all the time they arrived at 2.12am. in fairness to the driver he got me from Wimbledon to Clapham in 8 minutes flat so I could make my train but seriously wouldn't recommend relying on them for any important pick ups. if you are grabbing a cab from the earlsfield controllers office home they are fine and not a bad price - ANY other time they are awful and I would not recommend. Not needed just before a holiday... Try Haydons Cars or Swiss Cabs

I booked a car for a 10pm pick-up, requesting a driver to be waiting at the pick up point as I would have 3 large cases plus hand baggage and couldn't handle it all. No one was waiting, after a while the driver called and said I'd have to meet him in the car park. My colleague had to wait 25 minutes with me until the driver arrived as I would not have been able to handle the luggage had the driver been a no-show. The driver finally turned up 25 minutes late. After being in the car 5 minutes, I noticed an empty quarter bottle of whisky open beside the driver on top of a carrier bag of what I assume to be his belongings. When questioned, he tried to hide the bottle then said he had found it in the car seat behind him. By that point we were on the motorway . After a fretful journey, I paid the fair over the phone and was hung up on by the operator when asked if he would email the card receipt. I still haven't received it. All in all, an extremely unpleasant and potentially unsafe experience.

I wish there was a zero star rating. The worst experience I have ever had in a taxi/cab period and I’ve taken hundreds. Rudest controller who has ZERO client etiquette. I was dumped on the side of road because the driver refused to go the route I wanted to go as it was 30 minutes quicker but more mileage. I said call his office which he did. The controller was immediately aggressive, rude & loud on the loud speaker . He didn’t obviously care if his client could hear & he said unless I stump more than double the fare which the company pre paid in cash I can’t go. So I was ceremoniously dumped close to where I was picked up at LHR. I trudged back to the car park with my luggage and ordered a cab who was happy to drive the route I wanted. Look at this (so called) cab service feedback. Do not go with this company under any circumstances, they’re horrendous.

Bait and Switch Pricing! Booked rate for 38 from Sw18 to Gatwick airport a week in advance notifying them that I have 2 large bags and 2 small carry on bags. Day of pick up Received message taxi for 38 pds and taxi on it's way. Within 2 minutes of settling in the van not a car the driver says we need to pay 55 pounds because I have 4 bags not 2 bags. I told him we already spoke with the controller in advance notifying them they agreed to 38 pounds. Driver uses excuses that I should of booked an estate car instead, but i was not expecting a van to show up. It's not my fault they assigned you to pick us up. Driver try to up-charge for bags. Also driver was unfriendly from the beginning to the end: tailgating, swerving, and speeding at times. Don't expect them to help you with bags. I unloaded the bags from the van myself.

Horrible! They gave me a quote of 67 Pounds to pick up from Luton plus parking which was cheaper than 75 from competitor which included parking. My passenger arrived on time and I found out that she was charged 85 Pounds! I looked up parking prices in Luton airport and thats around 3 hours parking time!! I called the company and they told me they will check with the driver and get back to me with the parking receipt. I never heard back from them. I went to their office few days later inquiring and the response was "its been a while since the journey so impossible for us to check"!!! To me thats an attitude of a total crook. Also worth mentioning that I gave all arrival information of my passenger at the time of booking (the day before) and still got a call at 6am from the driver, asking me everything all over again!!!

Absolute joke of a company - it's a wonder they are still in business. I will never use them again. Rude, late and unreliable on numerous occasions. This weekend was final straw - turned up late, took half my hen party to the wrong destination despite me confirming the destination twice, they were then incredibly rude to my friends on the phone, refused to send another car to take them to correct location (said would take half an hour at least) resulting in half the party missing the activities we had booked. Completely ruined the start of what was supposed to be a special evening. Sent an email of complaint and have had nothing in reply, not even an acknowledgment or offer of refund. Appalled by the service (or lack thereof) and warn anyone against using this company.

Never to use again! I had an accident on the way to the airport while using the services of South West Cars, whilst the driver was nice and made sure I was alright at the accident scene, the lack of service, corporation or help from the South West Cars office following the accident, was not acceptable and very rude. Neither was there a call/email whether everything was alright nor when contacting them for further information necessary for my insurance company, as I had to seek medical attention following the accident, they were very rude and not corporative at all. I would never use their services again, as especially when something goes wrong, it just shows very bad customer service and that you are left alone after they still charge you for the taxi route.

Last week I booked 1 day before for a taxi at 5.40 am. I received a call from control centre at 5.25 am telling me the taxi would be late no more than 10 minutes. When asked to guarantee this the controller promised to call me back in 1 minute. He never did and I rushed to the train station as I was flying from London City airport. I received a call at 6.00 am whilst I was on the train to say the driver had arrived outside my house. I have used South West cars many times before without problems. Trusting a taxi service is the most important thing when flying abroad. To let down a regular user of your service is extremely un professional and makes me re consider using your service when having to catch a plane or train.

Used this taxi company to pre book a transfer back from the airport as we were travelling back at 2am. After waiting for 30 mins for the cab to show up we called the office and were told they werent even aware the booking existed and that a cab would take 40 mins to arrive. I am extremely disappointed with the rude service we received as there was no apology for their mistake and ultimately they were leaving us stranded. We tried to help out a local company given the testing times of the pandemic but honestly would not bother again. We ended up getting an uber which was £15 cheaper and turned up within 5 mins. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Surprisingly cheaper and better than Uber!!! On the few occasions we use this company the fee has been cheaper than Uber or Addison Lee and service is reliable. Obviously they do not have all the singing and dancing apps for you track the whereabout of the cab like Uber but at least the price does not hike up when you need it. Paying by credit card is a bit of a pain because you cannot do it on the phone still if they keep to a decent price and provide a good service I am ready to delete my Uber app!!

Late to collect. Late to my flight. The drive to Gatwick was a long a slow one, going through the B roads at 6am is not necessary. I live max 45mins away from Gatwick (Normally 30mins without traffic). I had to voice my concern as it had already taken 1hr 10mins and we still had 20 mins to travel!!! How do you get further away after so long!! Do not rely on them for Airport drops. That being said the taxi driver was very friendly and enjoyed travelling with him and £35 isn't a bad price.

I used south west cars recently for an early morning airport transfer to Gatwick (3am pickup). The driver turned up on time and you get a text to alert you that they’ve arrived which is helpful. The driver was friendly and professional and got us there in good time. The operator was friendly when I’d called in the week before to confirm the time and price. 4 stars as they only accept cash. Would definitely use this taxi company again.

Easy to book, good prices. My advice is to generally book the taxi at least 15-20 mins earlier than expected departure time. The drivers are always late irrespective of this being an advance booking service. For airport and train transfers, it causes unnecessary stress. The operators often don’t give accurate information about the whereabouts of the drivers so it’s better to give yourself the flexibility.

Cab took ages to come (20 mins). Driver changed en route - starting my waiting time off from scratch. When he arrived he asked me to go to a different pickup point. I explained I had heavy luggage and couldn’t move. The driver shouted at me and I had to ask him to stop raising his voice at me. At this point I cancelled. And Uber turned up in 1 min. I’ll never use them again. Horrible experience.

AVOID! With all the available cab companies, this one is one to avoid. Booked in advance to go to the airport from Southfields. Waited for 10 minutes, car didn't show up, called the office and they gave some lame excuses saying the driver is around the corner. Waited a total of 20 minutes outside, cancelled and booked an alternative. Unreliable when need to catch a flight and leave on time!

Very poor experience. I booked a taxi for 5:40am. It didn’t show up until 6:00am. The reason given - “the driver fell asleep in his car, and has gone to wash his face”. The driver then went to the wrong address. To then add insult to injury, as we were now running really late, the driver had to stop for petrol! I was given a discount, but in all honesty I wish I’d just booked an Uber.

Worst service ever. Booked 12 hours ahead. Car was 10 mins late so I missed my train. Then he didn’t know the address which was the local station so I had to guide him. After arriving almost 30 mins later I refused to pay the full fare for such appalling service. He threatened me so I ran away. Aggressive staff. Totally unreliable and hugely overpriced. Beware of this scam company.

Pre-booked a Taxi from the Oval cricket ground 24hr before event. Swc confirmed the booking 24hr before. At 9.28pm for the 9.45pm I have a missed call but no message or v-mail from a lane line. I call back the land line when I see the missed call to be told the taxi is cancelled. No compensation - just an apology. Swc has one job and can’t even do that correctly. 1/10.

I was left standing on the street for an hour in the rain being assured a car was arriving in 5-10mins whenever I called. I explained my mobility issues meant I couldn't navigate the local tube so their car service was my only means of transport. I then got a cancellation text despite a car being 'on the way'. Do not use this car service. Unreliable.

Appalling Taxi company. Charged us £5 more than the quote, gave the reason as the fact that we had luggage (bearing in mind he was picking us up from the airport). When we challenged the amount the driver became rude. When calling up the company to ask about the mis-quote, then man on the end of the phone was also patronising and rude. I would avoid.

Horror show. Turned up 30 mins late to take a group of 8 of us to a wedding. The van only seated 7 and the driver forced us to sit 4 people on a row with no seat-belt. We then weren't allowed to open the back windows in-case the police saw. We were worried enough about missing the wedding that we just sucked it up. They shouldn't be allowed to trade.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I booked to take me and my chihuahua to the airport at 5pm, they called me at 5.10pm to say they had no drivers that would take a dog, arrived at 5.25pm and I missed my train! then they were rude and tried to blame me for not informing them about the dog, despite the fact that it was on the notes for the booking 2 weeks in advance!!

On a rainy day, with a scheduled flight delay of 60min, the driver wasn’t waiting at arrival as usual. It took him 35min to reach them and then he couldn’t find his car in the carpark anymore. Overall it took him over 50min to get my guests in the car from the moment they were waiting at arrivals. What’s the point of pre-booking?!?

I was really happy with this company. They were £13 cheaper than Uber(due to the rip off 'surge' price that seems to be added to nearly every fare now) The controller was pleasant - I had a car within 5 minutes of calling and my driver was lovely and knew the quickest way to get to Barnes without using satnav. Excellent service.

Do not use this cab service! Drivers are rude and do not know where they are going, as well as keep you waiting beyond the given times. Management even worse, very poor levels of customer service, and once you have been dropped off and have a complaint they won't take your calls - either hanging up or not answering.

Used them for the first time today. The driver was lovely. However the office where u called to book repeated to me TWICE £29.50 to go from my house to Gatwick airport and I repeated back to them just to confirm and now I am being charged £39.50! Avoid them as they are dodgy!

I have booked a taxi from Luton airport a week in advance. Having arrived on time but in the night, I was left with tired and sleepy young kids, with hands full of bags stranded at the airport, as nobody has arrived on my booking! If you need reliability - look elsewhere!

Worst service ever! Unfortunately I can't give 0 star! Taxi should have picked me up at 4:10pm I've received a first text at 4:08pm saying "your taxi is on the way". I had to wait MORE than 30 minutes before it arrived, very bad service. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I'd give them zero stars if I could. Booked them on cabmain for £30 for my elderly motherlaw pickup at Heathrow, driver charged her £45 for "additional charges". Complained but driver claims we are lying so no money back! Stay away from South West Cars or Sky Cars!

I called yesterday and booked a cab. I was quoted one price. Got a call today telling me they were raising the price by £23! Their reason was because there is a train strike, however that strike had been announced over a month ago. Very very poor customer service.

Late for pick up, when I called to ask where the car was, the guy on the phone was very rude about it. We were told you could pay by card which once we got dropped off turned out they didn’t have a card machine. Double the price than an Uber! Not worth it at all!

Absolute rubbish. Booked a car well in advance to go to the airport. The driver hasn’t arrived in time, when he finally arrived 17 min later to the neighbouring street he suggested we go there with our bags. Appealing, even one star is too high for them.

Rubbish service. Was 30 minutes late and thought he had all the time in the world. I Stopped to get cash and the driver disapperead in the services. He also kept telling me he was closer then he actually was. Wouldn't recommend using this company.

I would give the first two time a 5 star, everything was good, from the elderly man on the phone to the driver. HOWEVER, the third time I called, this young man was plain RUDE! No patients at all and seems like someone just got him fired off!

Just a quick reminder to anyone reading these reviews that the driver nearly killed me: My driver fell fully asleep on the motorway on the way to Luton Airport. Twice. I had to scream at him and kick his seat to wake him up. Absolutely

I just call them to get a quote and they hang up on me twice, I call them a third time and ask - did you hang up on me twice? - no... hang up on me one more time... My wife laugh at me really hard and we will be booking a Uber

These guys are quick to leave if you are 5min late for a pick up, but no problem if they are 40 minutes late for a pick up (with a newborn) after a 48 hour prebooking. Unreliable dispatch service, No call, no apology, nothing!!

I used SWC for pick up at 03.30 to go to Heathrow. The driver arrived 5 min early, which I like, and the whole trip went smoothly.
