I ordered a few items online for my daughter's fur baby's birthday. They have so many cute and unique items for your pet(s). I had never seen wine (mock) for animals! I thought it was such a cute idea for celebrating. They also have toys with designer names like "Chewy Vuiton". I don't live in Louisiana, so I called and spoke with Sam and Nate and explained that I was going to have a friend pick up my order and deliver it to my daughter's home. I asked if they could make the packaging look a bit festive since it was purchased for Pop Tart's birthday and they were very accommodating. They did a great job adding colored tissue paper, a fancy bow to the bag, and a handwritten note with my sentiment. I really appreciated their help making my gift feel so special. Southern Paws will definitely be my go-to dog bakery. Thank you guys!

Every time I travel I HAVE to get something for the little Miss back home. Southern paws is a great location on the French Quarter right by the art district. They have so much to choose from for you pets and some fun things for yourself. Staff was so incredibly kind and helpful. Esme is deep barrel chested and very large. The staff were wonderful helping to figure out something that would fit her comfortably and even shared tips for diy alterations, just in case. Fortunately it fits perfect! They also had Bocce’s treats, which are the only treat she can have that doesn’t upset her tummy. AND Fluff n’ Tuff toys! If your dog can rip a toy to shreds in seconds like mine can, these are amazing. Super durable and very cute, I ended up getting 2 cause I’ve never been able to find them in a store before. Any dog lover MUST stop in!!

They had a toy that my cat actually likes!!!!! If that doesn't sell this place then you don't know cats very well... I had the cat toy packed in my suitcase that I was starting to unpack when I got home around 230am, and at one point I couldn't find my cat anywhere - it turns out she found the toy and was in my suitcase playing with it, which turned into some late night/early morning crazy runs from her. I'm so happy she loved her souvenir!!!! I really liked this shop and the staff interacted with a local customer as if they've been friends for ages which speaks volumes about this place and instantly gave me a "neighborhood staple" type of vibe, and I hope I'm right about that because every neighborhood should have a pet shop like this!

Let me tell you about this little place. When I travel, I always look for a pet boutique to bring back treats and small trinkets for my great Dane. Because she's a diva and soooo picky, I'm usually hesitant to get a lot of stuff. I brought back peanut butter paw shaped treat after speaking to the worker there, which by the way was super helpful and nice, SHE LOVED IT SO MUCH that she jacked her Rottweiler buddy's treat. I regretted not getting more. So after returning to NOLA for the second time, I picked up a bunch. She appreciated the delicious treats you have and can't wait for the online store to open.

Fun place for your pet gifts. Not cheap , but sweet. Staff very friendly. One thing caught our interest. They had homemade healthy treats ; carob chip, sweet potato, peanut butter, breakfast treat (cereal bits), and bacon. Small but smelled great. 5 for $1 was great. When we got home, we gave our basset a choice. We had her sit. We spread them out on the floor about a foot apart. We told her to pick one. She sniffed at each one. Grabbed two in her mouth and ran!! The was a first. The biscuits must have been good. Lol.

Adorable shop with reasonable prices on unique items for your pets. They carry items for dogs and cats, mainly clothing, treats and toys. I really appreciated the selection of New Orleans themed toys and as a pet supply store owner myself, seeing that there were items I couldn’t even order wholesale myself. The employee working was helpful, but not overly so, so we felt like we could shop in peace without someone over our shoulder. I will definitely recommend this place to my clients and be back in the future!

Cozy little place in the French quarter with lots of adorable items whether you're looking for dogs or cats. My wife and daughter had a field day in there buying stuff for our puppy. However, and despite the intimacy of the tiny shop, neither of the employees (a bald man and a woman) greeted us when we walked in, or asked if we needed help during the entirety of our visit. It was only when placed the items on the counter to buy them that I realized we weren't invisible!

This place is one to definitely avoid. I was ignored while waiting by the cash register while the salesman obsessed with his phone, hunting and pecking endlessly. Then when I finally got his attention it turns out that they haven't anything basic like wet Dog Shampoo, only dry shampoo which is worthless. They have lots of gaudy ugly dog accessories made in China if you are into making a spectacle of your poor dog.

Bright, clean, and organized are some traits that remind me of how great it was stopping into this store. Found so many great items in stock for furry friends - from toys, to clothing, and even a full bakery of treats. It will be hard to not find something you'll want to take home for your dog/pet. Service friendliness could have been a bit better but overall was a great visit and items were fairly priced too.

This place was super great! I called ahead to make sure our pet was welcome and they assured me she was welcome inside or outside. When we got here, they gave her bacon and brought her a bowl of ice water and loved on her and she enjoyed every minute of it! Not only that, but the food was great! Catfish was the best I’ve had! The service was super great! Highly recommended

Started to enter the store in order to buy a hat I saw from the street. The person at the register immediately shouted that they were closed, so I stepped back outside where their "temporary hours" sheet said they were still open for another hour. There was also two people actively shopping in the store when I was told it was closed. Found this experience very discriminatory and unnecessary.

While walking the streets in the French quarter, we came across a Barkery. This shop is dedicated to serving man’s best friend. They have leashes, collars, harnesses, toys and more, Including fresh dog treats like donuts, cannolis, cupcakes, cookies, all made for the pets. This place is super cool and we found out that ship so will be ordering something for our dogs when we get home.

Lots of awesome items for you and mostly for your dogs. I wished I took some photos while I was here but my photos would be about like any other photos. Otherwise they have tons of dog toys, many are souvenir type toys which are very fun, frisbee type squeaker toys that are shaped and New Orleans man hole covers. Many clothes for people leashes and dog treat baked goods.

Love this shop. Found so many great things for our sweet dog who was not able to come with us. We gave her the treats when ww picked her up and she loved them so much. Its going to be our new stop each time we are in Nola. The lady who helped us behind the counter was wonderful as well and suggested which treats might work best for out picky puppy. It was wonderful.

Very nice pet store and pet bakery located in the heart of the French Quarter. They have many different toys and accessories for your pets, especially dogs, and for you as well. We bought our puppy a collar and leash a few months ago and we love it. It’s held up great through a lot of wear and tear from our puppy, still in great condition. Highly recommend!

Had an errand to run in the Quarter and this cute little boutique caught my eye. The employee was so friendly and knowledgeable. The store had a wide variety of dog items, a small selection of cat items, and a bunch of accessories in between. The fancy dog cookies are so fun, we got a Mr. Moo that our pup was very excited to eat. Glad I happened upon it!

Great little pet boutique!! My family was on a road trip from Georgia to Texas and we stopped in anew Orleans for a few hours. But we had our family dog with us and forgot his leash at home! We popped in and grabbed a leash (great prices) and a few treats for him! I highly recommend the cheese bone! My dog loved it!!! Shop owner was also very nice!!!

If you’re in New Orleans I 100/10 highly recommend Southern Paws. Loved it so much. The store was so well put together. Everything is adorable. The owner is a sweetheart and the prices are great. I will definitely go back next time I’m in New Orleans and Gambit looks so cute in his gear I’ll have to order online until then.

Cutestv dog shop I've ever seen. They have so many great stuff!! I want everything in this store. The employees are great. Our puppy over heated walking around so we stopped here. They helped cool her down. I purchased a stroller, a cookie, and a Chewy Vouiton toy that my puppy loves. I wish they had a location in Houston!!

I absolutely positively ADORE this pet shop. They have my dogs favorite bones ( Woof Wraps, buy some you won't be sorry ) among many other fabulous finds. I look forward to visiting this shop every time I'm in New Orleans. This fun costume was bought there for a super good price.

Really cool place. They had a good variety of dog toys, and I found a couple that my dog hasn't figured out how to destroy yet. A lot of fun treats as well. Very unique and slightly funny. I do wish they had more cat items, but I suppose that dogs make more money for them.

Piper loves her new toys. The staff was super friendly and extremely accommodating and always ready with treats. There is a fresh bowl of water outside for doggies passing by. We drove a half hour just to visit Southern Paws. We love this place and will be back soon.

Definitely needs a visit if you're in the area. You don't have to have a pet to go, the place is filled with stuff for pets, pet owners, and great gift ideas for someone who has a pet. I love it! Though I wish they had more stuff for big doggies (60+ lbs).

Cute, cheerful place with many unique pet products. Not really geared for large-breed dogs and the cat section is a back corner of the store. It's not trying to compete with the big-box pet supermarkets -- definitely more of a "niche" pet boutique.

My wife and I decided go to this cat and dog supplies store in Outlet at Riverwalk we have be to the original one in the French quarter. They really nice items for cats and dogs including a dog bakery for dogs including donuts for dogs.

Cute shop for pets! I visited while on vacation in October. Great snacks, Saints gear, cute dresses. . .I'm glad I visited prior to leaving town. I would've spent a lot more! Definitely worth stopping in to check out all the goodies!
