This place is an absolute mess. Highly recommend avoiding until they get it together. The front office is extremely unorganized. I was told I needed to do a small procedure, but they were unable to schedule it as I was leaving my appointment because they didn't have their next schedule yet. I have proceeded to call 6 times over the course of 2 months with an inability to talk to anyone who can schedule it and I get a different excuse every time. Ive been told to call back on a certain date, that I'll be called by someone specialized on their team, that my request is being escalated -- All with zero response or follow up from them. Be warned: often when you call the office, you actually don't talk to the office - You get sent to some call center completely disconnected to them where they just take messages that never get passed along. And then there is the rudeness and snide comments I have received from the front staff when I didn't do everything in the online portal prior to arriving, but then the online portal doesn't do many of the simple things it should do - like scheduling. It's really too bad the office is so terrible, because I liked the doctors when I was able to see them. Edit: The irony of the canned response asking me to call them to discuss when the office never actually answers is rich!
My initial experience with this Austin dental office was disappointing. The scheduling of my cleaning was rescheduled four times, causing inconvenience, especially since it's now year-end and I have Christmas travel plans. The first attempt was supposed to coincide with my check-up, but there was no hygienist available that day. The second rescheduling was for December 13 at 2:30, only to be moved to 12:30 on the same day. Despite adjusting my schedule multiple times, the fourth rescheduling occurred the night before, moving my appointment to 10 am on the same day. Considering I have a job, this posed a significant challenge. Upon reaching out to the customer service line (which operates when the office is closed and is outsourced), I was assured a callback that I'm yet to receive. This lack of follow-through has eroded my trust in their services. If anyone knows of a reliable South Austin dental practice, I'd appreciate your recommendations, as I'm now hesitant about continuing with this particular office. Regrettably, my wife also had a negative cleaning experience. All things considered, I would advise looking into alternative dental offices for a more satisfactory experience. My wife had a bad cleaning experience to boot. Honestly, pick a different office.
I wish that I could give a zero star review because this was the worst dental experience I've ever had in my life. Just like other reviews stated, the staff has no value for your personal time. I got there 5 minutes before my appointment time and waited 1whole hour in the lobby. Just to be put into a chair and told by the dentist that I needed $2,000 out of pocket worth of work done on my teeth without fully explaining to me what was going on. I then tried to clarify but any questions I had was answered with the most condescending responses I've ever gotten from Dr. Aamir. If I'm going to spend that much money at once then I want time to digest what is being told to me and think about it for some time and then decide. Instead I was pressured to make a decision on the spot and when I pushed back I was given the rudest treatment. Someone needs to teach this dentist some bedside manners and customer service. The hygienist and the rest of the front staff were very friendly. But if the person actually working on your teeth acts like this then I don't want to be anywhere near that place. Which is why I simply got up out of the chair and left after telling the dentist how rude and condescending she was being.
I've had good experiences with the regular staff. Unfortunately the specialty doctor seems to think his customers time doesn't matter. When I scheduled my appointment I was told to keep my schedule completely open that day to accommodate the doctor- are you kidding me? Cause what my time is not as valuable! Incredibly rude and condescending policy to think that your CUSTOMERS can and should just accommodate your schedule at the drop of a hat. I told them then that it's unlikely I can up and change my schedule at the last minute. Then I received a confirmation message a week before my appointment for my actual scheduled time and when I went into the system to confirm the appointment 4 days before the appointment it's been completely changed. No question or anything to confirm if I can even do it. Just assuming I can reschedule my entire day to accommodate him. Again incredibly condescending and disrespectful.
I will never go back , the front desk person who checked me in added fluoride to me and just tried to charge me. Scamming people out of money for sales isn’t selling. She was rude and said it was optional to get it but didn’t even bother on making it an option. I have made it an option not to return to this dentist after so long. My partner will also find another dentist. This location has to do better, but I won’t stick around to see it’s .Good riddance to this location . To the girl in the front desk make getting a better attitude and not cramming fees to customers an option. Some people are not sales people , take it from someone who has done it for 15 years.
Showed up for a first appointment/routine cleaning here and waited an hour before being seen. Overheard admin staff realize they forgot my charts..great start! Not long after sitting down with dentist they ask if I've ever had a special deep cleaning...already feels like beginning of a sales pitch. And proceed to go over the ways in which my teeth are in dire shape and need new fillings etc. with absolutely no confidence in what they were saying. Oh and all for $2000+ out of pocket costs, weird! Obviously got a second opinion (everything fine/normal) and cancelled the three follow up appts here. Listen to the reviews.
This is one of the only dental practices covered by my insurance policy so I’m stuck being a patient here. They normally change appointments several times before you are actually able to be seen and usually within 24 hours of the appointment itself. Today I received a phone call looking to reschedule my September Dental cleaning for the 4th time. The first time it was rescheduled by a month and most recently they’ve rescheduled me for times they are already overbooked. When I called back today i was put on hold and then was told “sorry we’re too busy and may call you back later.” This practice is a literal joke
Horrible Office, they don't provide accurate information about dental coverage before providing service, nor do they contact the patient in a timely manner when claims are denied. I saw them for a service in March 2022, for a service the Dentist said I needed and that it would be covered by Insurance. However a year and a half later in August 2023 they contacted me and said that Insurance would not cover it at all, and I therefore owed them, at the end I had to pay all out of pocket - more than a grand!!!! They provide terrible service and don't work with you.
Just had my first visit with this office and it certainly won't be my last. Dr. Ferrante and her staff were amazing and treated me like I have been a patient there for 10 years. Everyone is very friendly there. From the front desk to the X-ray to the hygienist to the lead dentist. Each person was very knowledgeable and made sure I was comfortable at all times and answered any questions that I had. You can tell they really care about their patients here. Highly recommend to anyone searching for a new dentist.
I have been a patient of y'all's for probably over a decade. When I started my gums were in bad shape. Over time with great recommendations and encouragement my gums went from bad shape to great shape. Your staff is always considerate of pain issues and never treat you as if you're making it up. You stop immediately to address the issues. Your front desk staff calls me by my first name when I walk in. You see hundreds of people but you make me feel like family. I am forever grateful for the smile I have now.
I have had the WORST experience with this dental office and their periodontist. They recommend drastic, costly surgeries that other dentists/periodontists I have spoken with since going here would not have recommended. I wish I had gotten a second opinion before trusting their course of action. Additionally, everything everyone here is saying is true about upselling treatments, constant cancelations, rotating dentists, and just a general air of disorganization in the office. Be careful with this place.
Took 3 calls to get an appointment, then my appointment was cancelled less than 24 hrs before. They said they need me to be flexible. You all are not the only ones who work and have to schedule time off. Not sure why doctors and dentist think they are above their patients. Very unprofessional. Front office also needs to learn how to speak to patients. I called another dental office and got an appointment in 5 minutes. Would never recommend this place and I never even got in the front door.
I don’t recommend this place to anyone. The front desk staff is the worst part about this place. Rude and unwilling to help. This office is very difficult to get ahold of. Takes forever to get through to someone on the phone and even longer to get an email reply. The place takes every opportunity to sell you a service you don’t need. They also can’t seem to keep a dentist. With in the 2-3 years I’ve been with this officer they’ve had three dentists and currently don’t have one.
Saw Dr Lin Monday for trauma to front teeth, very caring, took his time and explained all options.. saw me a few days later and stayed late to fix my teeth.. Dr Sirage, my dentist, stayed late to assist with the cerec machine that was having issues.. Deanna - assistant-was excellent and very informative. Helped more than expected.. love these dentists!! I had major anxiety and fears about getting this done, but it turned out great... look at pics!!
The dentists themselves are perfectly fine and the front staff that caused so many of my issues a year ago seem to no longer be working here. However, I am still receiving invoices for a procedure I was overcharged/refunded $500ish for and haven't received a call back from their Billing Department that I tried to reach out to 3 weeks ago. So. By all means go to this place but you may lose your sanity trying to get back off of their billing list.
This was the easiest experience with a dental office I have had. After calling around multiple places trying to see if my insurance was taken with no call back or any quick info from any other dental office, I reached Brooke at the front desk and she answered all of my questions immediately. The office visit was a breeze too. Staff is very friendly and fit me in for a cleaning. Thanks for the quickness and peace of mind!
Appointment at 10:45am …. It’s 11:45 and I still haven’t been seen by the dentist. I’m sorry but almost an hour to be seen is a little much to ask of your patients. I booked the appointment so I could get a quick screening during my lunch. Don’t schedule people if you can’t see them within 15-20 minutes (overbooking your staff/capacity). People have lives/work schedules they are working around.
Horribly run practice. Have tried to be patient with them but they continuously reschedule rather than actually seeing their patients. Most recently (but certainly not the only time) my husbands appointment was cancelled for the FOURTH time, and they couldn’t even bother to stay on the phone long enough to find a new time that works for him. We will be finding another practice.
I rarely do this! But the ladies in this office do not know how to handle their clients or their insurance information to confirm prior to the visit. The recently change their fees expecting us to pay out of pocket because they are lazy to confirm with our insurance company. After 3 random calls from them they still can’t confirm with client. I advise not to visit this office!
Dr Gibbons was caring and compassionate with my mother. She made sure that we were comfortable with the treatment proposed. She took my mother’s health history into account and proposed a less invasive treatment than a previous dentist. During treatment she continually checked on my mother and made the treatment as pleasant as possible. The entire staff was kind and helpful.
Dr. Ferrante did a great job of explaining what procedure she was going to do. She was very open to questions and I was extremely pleased with the procedure results. The office has been very welcoming in the four years we’ve been going here. Brook does a great job at the front desk scheduling and answering all of our questions as well as helping with financial concerns.
Fantastic. Wonderful staff, patient, caring, very good at what they do. I am sold on the place. As a rule, I care little for dentists, probably because the idea of sticking my hand, or having another's hand in my mouth is repulsive to me. Yuck! Despite this, they do great work, know their job, explain things well, and I an so glad that I now gave them as my dentists.
Dr. Tofighi is the absolute best. Incredibly informative and very sweet. Danielle & clinical staff were incredibly professional . I however did not have such a pleasant experience when checking in. The young receptionist was rude and did not even acknowledge when I was first in line, she then proceeded to check someone else in that was not in line.
Dr. Tyler M. and his staff were extremely helpful, and caring. Dr.Tyler had a great personality, listening skills were outstanding, as well as the staff. They were very attentive to my needs. I'm so happy and pleased with my results. They also took care of my insurance needs. Thank you all for your dedication, exceptional, and quality care!
I got my wisdom teeth taken out about 10 days ago and I had some issues with payment and insurance. Thankfully Mary Lou helped me get it settled. She has been very kind and helpful, I really appreciate such great customer service! I will be sticking with this office for my dental needs from now on!
Very friendly team from front desk, dental assistant, hygienist and Dr. Ferrante were very personable and helpful recommending my dental treatment for next visit. Would definitely recommend to anyone new in the Austin area. Wait time was not long at all as well. Very pleased with my visit.
Amazing place! The staff is extremely sweet. The dentist’s are very knowledge. They were able to create a custom payment plan for the work I needed. Going to the dentist has never been fun for me but they have made it a pleasant experience! Can’t wait to come back!
They removed my wisdom teeth, I was incredibly anxious and the staff did a fantastic job calming my concerns while making sure I felt prepared and safe for what they were about to do. Highly recommend. This is a group of PEOPLE and that makes the difference.
I love this place.. have been a patient of this practice for years. All my encounters with staff have been super friendly and they have really taken care of all my dental needs! Definitely recommend!
