This Specs is absolutely awesome and I will most certainly be returning for a number of reasons. 1. Thier staff was welcoming and friendly. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by two associates, a male and a female. 2. I am a bourbon guy and was hunting for a higher end version of crown royal (I know I know... How high end can Canadian whiskey possibly get?!) as a gift for a friend who only likes crown. The lady came over and was super helpful in explaining a few differences along with what they had. She also went out of her way to look up a couple other nearby stores to see what they had available. Bingo! She found a store pick that sounds unique and perfect. 3. The lady then gave me some great new suggestions for bourbons to try as I'm always looking for smaller distillery bottles to try. Her suggestion was spot on and I've been enjoying the bottle since. She seriously knows her stuff and is well versed in multiple categories. 4. Finally, they had my favorite hawaiian rum along with the mixers for it. Koloa rum is beyond amazing and made on the island of Kauai. I have seen a few of the rums throughout my travels but never the pineapple passion mixer which is typically only found in Hawaii. As soon as I saw the 1.75 liter bottles of this stuff, I grabbed 8. Why'd I grab eight I'll tell you why! Happy wife, happy life! :). This stuff is my wife's absolute favorite. Therefore, in conclusion go to this specs and find your favorite happy juice.

I stopped by Spec's Wine, Spirits & Finer Foods looking for Pennsylvania Dutch Eggnog which is a seasonal liquor before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately none has arrived, but I got a chance to talk to two very knowledgeable salesmen Ricardo and Peter with Peter having more knowledge about the Spirits sold here. Peter introduced me to Horse Soldier Premium Straight Bourbon Whiskey when he noticed from our conversation that I was a retired soldier, therefore recommend this Bourbon that has become a favorite among soldiers young and old. Peter described the gentle flavor of the Bourbon that he personally has tasted. I bought a bottle and upon arriving home I was quick to open it and pour myself a small glass of Horse Soldier Premium Straight Bourbon Whiskey and slowly drank it; this is a good Bourbon.

Great selection of beer, wine, spirits, and excellent customer service. It's my go to place when I need to resupply. Update: I stopped by today to pick up my refreshments for our Superbowl Party, and their shelves were overflowing with the spirits and beer I needed. I even bought an extra bottle for Bourbon based on an employees praises for it. Of course I had to "sample" it when I got home, and it was just as smooth as he stayed. Milam & Greene Single Barrel Straight Bourbon Whiskey. What makes this Bottle\Company even better, is that it is locally distilled about a half hours drive from my home. Great flavor, and supporting the local economy. All because of the advice of a Specs employee.

My husband and I visited the Spec’s location at 281 in Stone Oak and was extremely disgusted with how the cashier (Benny) treated us and the others he checked out. Not one greeting or even a hello and the only words spoken to us was, “cash, credit or debit.” Not even a goodbye.... With all of the people that need jobs he acted like the customers are doing him a discourtesy by shopping there. I’ll find another liquor store to shop at next time and in the meantime perhaps you all should consider hiring more personable people rather than just a warm body.... There are plenty of pleasant people that need jobs right now.

Not as pleasant or friendly as in my past shopping experience there. A salesperson asked if they could help me but until I narrowed my selection wasn't that helpful. I know the Covid has influenced employees enthusiasm but I am sure the family that owns Spec's would not be happy that their employees are not enthusiastically making suggestions helping people to make a selection even though it differs from what they were asking. Good salespersons can do that!

Always strange experiences in here. Today I asked a girl upfront at the counter if you all refilled CO2 canisters. She looked around, looked confused, and then said no. Then another associate asked me if I needed help right next to her. I asked him the same question since she looked confused. He turned around and asked her. She then tells, "You literally just asked me that question, no we do not do that here." Sarcasm to paying customers...

I give 5 stars because of the fast and friendly customer service. I needed help selecting a quality Vodka in an affordable price range. The gentleman helped me with my selection. Then both yhevsales lady and gentleman at the register helped me find a gift bag. There was no line. Everyone smiling. The selection was right on the money for my budget and came in a gift box. Thank you The store appeared to be well stocked with lots of specials.

Specs has a great selection of wines and beers and that’s why I love going there and their prices are fantastic however I was there today and what we are going through today in this world I was shocked to see that the cashiers don’t have gloves on they’re not wiping down the credit card machines and there’s really no protection and they are dealing with hundreds of customers a day beware don’t go there unless youHave protection on yourself

I've been coming here for just a couple months. The store is much smaller than the store I used to go to and that results in fewer selections. Generally it's a good store and I will keep coming here. The big plus was today, May 15th, I was looking for something and Kevin helped me. He was very friendly, helpful, industry knowledgeable and helped me find what I was looking for. Kevin gets 10⭐ and deserves a pay increase and a bonus!

I don't know much about WINE, But the Staff did. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We were able to pick out the Perfect Gift. The Staff was very informed about many products and gave us a choice to choose from(AMAZING). Then we wanted something with a UNICORN and believe it or not, we walked out with a 6 pack of alcoholic Unicorns. So Funny. This location is so Friendly and helpful.

Organized, clean and staffed with friendly people, but I went there specifically for Texas wine and the selection was basically Llano winery in any and every possibility, or a couple bottles from some of the other wineries in the area. I know it's a small store, but I just have to ask: Are there really that many saki drinkers in north San Antonio or is that just a gimmick?

Nice and tidy store. Lots of great wines to choose from, and they have recently begun to upgrade their craft beer selection (thank goodness!). This trip we were there for holiday wine shopping, and they had quite a few employees available to help make the decisions easier while sticking to the price points we wanted to hit. No pressure sales made it nice.

Constantly come home and open beers I’ve bought here to find clumps on yeast. This has happened a half dozen times with beers bought at this store. Today I went to exchange and didn’t have the receipt, manager refused to exchange. I’m done shopping here. I may have to drive further but there’s better beer selections all over town. Never again

This is such a fun place to shop in. They are knowledgeable and friendly. I feel like I learn something new every time I go there. It is easy to locate what you are looking for and even pick up some surprises you weren't looking for. With their special prices it is very unlikely you will find a better price.

The wine guy at specs is really thorough and thoughtful in helping me pick wines every time I go in there. And they have a new discount if you buy 6 bottles and it beats HEB by a bit so with the price and the recommendations combined, I'm buying all my wine at specs now.

Specs has a great selecting of all thing alcohol related. Wines, champagne, liquor, beer and depending on which store you go to they also have good accoutrement. Snacks, glassware, jello ... They have a humidor as well but I have not purchased cigars from here. …

Miss the large stores in Dallas. Couldn't find one item I wanted (rock sugar swizzle sticks) but has all major liquor brand and good supply of occasional items (Irish liquor for Irish coffee). REMINDER : take check book and save money over credit cards).

Great selection for any occasion. Fantastic deals on sale items. I found a wonderful local whiskey, usually I would have to go to the distillery, but they had it in stock.

They have everything I need. Huge selection! They are also the only ones to carry green gummy frogs my wife likes. Apparently its a big deal and I have to tell Google.

Wine selections is excellent. one of the best liquor shop I have visited. very loaded store with lots of varieties in different items. customer service is really good.

This location does not have food, just a heads up. However. if you're looking for a good port wine selection this is the best I've seen in town (sorry total wine!).

Have most of the liquor you might need. No special or hard to get liquor. No Blanton's, no Ghost Tequila, no Angel's Envy. Very nice and helpful staff.
