In my knowledge and fortitude of cars, I have some experience with cars, I can change a tire, my windshield fluid, wipers and I'm starting to understand my oil a bit more. I first noticed a problem after my initial oil change from a different establishment. This happened when I went 80 km to 100 km on the Anthony Henday. All the sudden my tire was vibrating, I knew it was not a flat because it was not dragging me to one side nor was there rumbling under the hood or near the dash. This was the only symptom, but never the less, a concern. With that, I went into Speedy with the original idea that this could be a tire balance check. However, this was a much bigger grappling and dangerous concern. It was my front brakes, my back brakes, my links and all four of my tires. My front tires were "metal to metal" but I only noticed this a longer braking time. I initially shrugged this off as dealing with icy driving. As for my tires, I had two winter tires, and two regular tires. It was in bad repair - as I have gotten flats before - but I did not know by how much. The damage could only be witnessed once the tires were taken off. My tires were balding and the back rear tire, there was ten ounces of plastic found by inspection. The mechanic told me if I was driving for longer than a week; my brakes would had been drastically done for. While I could make this a gratitude for how being recently diagnosed and medicated for ADHD has saved my life. As this was the reason why I got myself to complete delayed tasks that took mental effort. Instead I am writing this in platitude to thank the team and friends that helped me that day. To those that saved my car; and thereby, my life. I would like to give my round of thanks to Brian, he both greeted and left me with smiles upon departing. He provided me transportation as my car was left in the shop for the day. He was witty, charismatic and engaging. He also provided the " ' car speak ' " translation for when there was vocabulary out of my reach. I did not have to ask him to assist me, he provided assistance and guidance for me to understand the mechanical knowledge of what was wrong with my car. The next of the rounds goes to Kenny, Ron and Terry. Ron was very knowledgeable, capable, humble and independent in his craft, he provided my re-torque. Kenny presents himself as professional, enthusiastic dedicated, insightful and well spoken. While Terry carried wisdom, respect, dedicated, sincere, understanding and guidance along with being the master of his craftsmanship. All three of these gentlemen took pride into my car, just as if they were the owners themselves and gave the best treatment possible. My car [which is a Mazda 3 2004] was a Nightmare From Elm Street before, but with their helping hand, it now drives like a 2019 Toyota Highlander! "Cars are supposed to feel this smooth?" Happy to announce that my car's driving now handles like a baby's bottom. As for Biju, he had excellent leadership for navigating situations and for the heart of his team. He also posed strong communication skills, he effectively demonstrated areas of where my car needed repair and he showed me physically why this was. Biju also showed strong traits of compassion, dedication, empathy and sincerity. Randy presented as someone who is devoted, thoughtful, charming and the voice of reason on the team. While Amit showed characteristics of authenticity, being passionate, and inquisitive. I haven't had the pleasure to interact with Mike directly, but knowing Speedy, *every* member is what makes the team the best! Some context; I have deep phobias of driving. I still own my first car. Before Speedy, I had been to one mechanic. Mental health also makes me put off maintenance and cleaning of my vehicle; my point is I have a lot of shame about my car and driving. I moved to the southside a couple years ago and was hesitant about going to a chain location for service, worried about prices, worried about finding a good honest mechanic, etc-- I won't go anywhere else now, regardless of where in the city I end up. The team at the Mill Woods Speedy is honest, gentle, communicative, fairly priced, and quick. I have had nothing but good experiences with them. They never push additional work on me, and are very considerate of my time and budget. Recently, I had been having a whole suite of electrical mishaps and steering lockups with my car. Aside from initial diagnostics, I was not charged anything even though this took us a few visits together to fully troubleshoot the problem, as it was intermittent and difficult to replicate. They had to go out-of-house to get a new transponder key made for me, which did not work. Speedy was able to advocate for me to get the key warrantied, and did not charge me for additional testing or diagnostics. Every time I returned to further diagnose the problem, they made my car a priority in their workload. This team is characterized by fair and honest work. Please check them out if you are an anxious driver like me!

DO NOT GO TO SPEEDY IN MILLWOODS!! Absolutely incompetent! My Dodge Caravan wouldn't start. I called AMA, they tested it, and showed me the battery was good. I called Speedy in Millwoods and had it towed there. The estimate was $805 to replace the starter and serpentine belt and they had to do an inspection on the van. AFTER doing $805 of work, they said the battery was no good. They said I needed $2700 of repairs. The inspection should have been done FIRST. It's an old van (2002). No one would ok $2700, PLUS $805. Over $3500!! Had I been told I would gladly pay for the diagnostic work and sold it for scrap. I paid the $805 and took it home. The next morning (-26 not plugged in) I tried the remote start. It started but quit. I tried the key. It started no problem. The battery they said was no good. The remote didn't work because they didn't reset it after installing the starter! And that voided the warranty I had on the remote.

I called inquiring about Studded Michelin Winter tires. However, they were on back order everywhere. So Nick - the person who answered the call - was so helpful. Doing research to find a comparable tire and calling me back with his findings and emailing me photos of comparables. The weather was getting really bad and he would have the tires picked up from their warehouse and said he could actually get me in that afternoon. I was very impressed with his friendly helpful attitude. Then when I brought my car in the owner was also there and again reassured me about how good the tires were that I had chosen. All were very helpful. Very friendly. Sad to say I don’t find this kind of service very often. ‘Service with a smile’ used to be a saying. I thought it was lost. So happy its the culture with this company. I have already recommended them. They will have more of my business.

Went in to get bulbs changed out behind my heater and climate control switches. Some how my whole cluster was not working for some strange reasons along with the original bulbs on climate control..$500. To get my original cluster fixed or a used for half price and no labour chargers with 10,000 extra kms, now I’m not sure what’s happened except for the fact it cost me more money than I anticipated and dumb founded that my dash was not put together properly, the curved shroud at the back was on top of the dash. I had to take it apart and put together properly myself with tabs placed under dash. I think they have too much on the go and doing jobs too quickly and forgetting crucial steps.Hard to understand explanations with a strong language barrier when discussing prices. All other services have been good (I think).

I typically have regular places that I bring my car to, as I don't know much about cars and worry about getting up sold on things I don't need. Speedy Auto Millwoods was not my regular place but they were able to get me in on very short notice (they got me in same day!) when my other places were not. My service advisor, Brian, and my mechanic, John were both amazing in helping me figure out what was going wrong with my car, and explaining everything. I felt very comfortable there and feel that my car got the best service. They examined and replaced my brakes all same day. Prices were very comparable to what I've spent on brakes before. I will happily add these guys to my regular places list and recommend to friend! Thanks guys!

Do not recommend. Very incompetent and dishonest. Update * unfortunately had to return because the break work that was done in my vehicle was insufficient and my breaks gave out after a few days. They Charged me another $200 to fix what I already paid $4500 for. Then they had the nerve to tell me if " I didn't remove my review, I wouldn't get very far with the owner in the future". Maybe do better work for good reviews, instead of trying to bribe people to remove the honest reviews. **update #2: The passenger seat belt receiver they Charged me $260 to replace, lasted 3 uses and is now not functioning. I'm not surprised at all, at this point. I'll cut my losses before I ever return to these incompetent and rude humans.

So it doesn't look like much on the outside, as I walked in it was a humble, bright very friendly professional atmosphere. There was a lounge with comfy couches relaxing music playing in the background. Seconds upon entering I was greeted by two friendly staff members, one was the owner, very professional and informative. They performed just simple maintenance like an oil change and tire change. I was walked through the whole process witch gained my trust allowing me to feel comfortable. Even with the new price hike they kept the price low and reasonable. I have been coming to this location for numerous years now and have been extremely happy with not only the workmanship, but with the customer service as well. The employees there have always been very courteous and have thoroughly explained to me what they will be doing to ensure the safety of my vehicle. There have never been any hidden costs or surprises when I pay for services. The prices I find to be very reasonably priced and the owner makes a point to see if we are happy with the service. Have brought the wife's vehical here from time to time. Now while I was in school she had a misfire on cylinder 3. So she brought it in to be looked at. Now they charged her over 1000$ for the spark plugs. All 6 and one coil. Now for the rest of the coils they wanted 900 extra dollars!! You have to pull the coils to get at the spark plugs meaning the labor was done already! The coils is about 30 bucks so not sure where the other 700 dollars came from. They also fixed her door handle one time and it still doesn't work properly. While all mechanic shops charge alot for these jobs, this seemd very unreasonable. Beware and get quotes from other garages to be safe.

It was my first time visiting these guys by my friend’s reference. I chose full car inspection with oil change. I mistakenly told them what were the problems i was facing and at the end they made estimate of exactly the same problems. When i went there to pickup my car then i asked about the things which i didn’t tell them then they said these things were the part of body, we just inspect electrical or ABC. Now i am facing not only the same problems but also they added some extra. Now battery is not being charged by car. I had to boost the battery. Thank you speedy i was not having this problem.

Techs did good work, hun at the front counter was nice and was cracking jokes a bit with me but upon pickup before I left the store the man at the counter tried to sell me on services that my vehicle did not need, I went out to get my car and sure enough the problem he said it had was non existent so please please please just like taking your vehicle into any other shop please be aware of the state your vehicle is in BEFORE you take it to ANY shop (even just basic things) anyways decent services but will try and sell you extra services you likely don’t need rant over

I brought my car in for an oil change without an appointment and they were more than happy to take me in last minute. Second time I brought my car in for a diagnostic to see why my engine light was on. Both occasions I was helped immediately and service was quick and efficient. Had some issues with my catalytic converter, but with the solution they sold me and instructions on what to do, the engine light is now off. I took the vehicle for an insurance inspection and some repairs; not only was the vehicle repaired sufficiently, but the team actively worked with me throughout the process to find cost-effective options. I booked my car in for my semiannual tire/rubber swap they made the process very seamless from start to finish. The service technician/mechanic (AL) that worked on my car was friendly and very professional and greeted me when I picked up my car. I find the pricing is 20% less than the dealership and they accommodated my schedule. This is the second time I've brought my vehicle here and will continue to do so. Especially now that my warranty has expired and maintenance cost and quantity of service is important to me.

Right from the start from booking the appointment to the completion of the services Speedy Employees were very professional and easy to talk to. When I brought in my car I was very impressed with the communication and respect, the fact that I am an elderly woman did NOT have them rubbing their palms anticipating the money they could/would make from me. They were very clear and precise in the explanation of what was needed and why it was needed which made me feel secure in having the work done. When I picked up my car they were very welcoming and polite. I will definably refer them and use them again when needed.

I cannot say enough great things about the friendly service, and warm welcome I received at this location. We were a middle of the night tow and had no previous experience with this garage, but I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of fast, efficient and affordable service. I have been going to Speedy for over 15 years and now that I live out of town still prefer to take the drive in if it’s possible. Biju and his teams service is outstanding. They have always been extremely honest and upfront and don’t want to take your money for services not needed. They stand by their work and warranty. Truly experts in their field I can’t say enough good things about them and would highly recommend them to anyone.

This auto service is very horrible. They are very dishonest. They are trying to charge me extra money for no reason. I ordered my part 20 days earlier for $380 but after they told me they don’t have any part. Then they told me they have a part for $580. Then the part did not work now they are trying to charge me again for $750. Then they cleaned the vents for $180 plus tax. I do not recommend for going to this auto service shop.

I had a rear tire that needed replacing. Called and spoke to Brain B. He was polite and very friendly. He was able to squeeze me in with no appointment. Just 1 tire/rim switch out. Went here for the first time in June and called around for a few places for a 2008 Honda Ridgeline oil change and swapped out winter tires for summer tires (owned already) and the service was great! Quick, got me in the same day and was the cheapest in the area for the oil change. I wanted to give this review when I needed the tires torqued a week later and service was consistent! Highly recommend!

After no luck with a dealer finding a squeaking noice with my Lancer since May, I stopped in a Speedy Auto. Within one test drive the technician and front staff had the issue found and I was booked in next day to resolve. After 2 days of driving, I am so pleased that the squeaking has not returned. Thank you to all the staff involved with my issue after a very frustrating period with the dealer.

Speed had to get the parts for a front strut repairs and the main drive shaft for my Rav4 vehicle. They were were able to get the parts within a couple of days and complete the work. Every good car has a bad day every once in a while. When my heating and cooling went right before a cold front of -30 Brian Boo was able to get me in and have the issue fixed in a day so I didn’t get frost bite in my car on the way to work! Professional and timely service. Vehicle broke down and had to be towed to Speedy Auto on 50 st. They were closed but waited until the vehicle arrived. They looked at the vehicle early the next morning and called me with an estimate. The work was done and vehicle ready that afternoon. This place is an absolute rip off. They just replaced my spouses callipers back in October and he recently had some issues with his break line and went back and they quoted him over $5000 to replace all of the callipers again on top of the break lines. Definitely trying to rip people off without enough knowledge. Wouldn’t recommend.

We have brought our vehicle here on multiple occasions. Suspension work, brakes, radiator/coolant, oil pan leak. They offer timely service and fair pricing. We haven't had to bring anything bring our vehicle back yet for re-work. They also offer Roadside assistance with every repair, which provides extra peace of mind.

I got my winter tires changed to all season tires here and they did it very quickly. The staff were all friendly and did a great job! I was helped by Brian B. personally and he listened to all my needs and worries. I highly recommend anyone who wants to get their vehicles serviced by professionals to this location!
